Visited the Parade of Christmas trees in the lobby. Nice display of community involvement and nice event to view for the holidays. Lobby is well kept and open. Enjoyed a coffee from the Starbucks located on site. Looked like the hotel was conducting renovations to rooms.

Very beautiful place to stay, had a business meeting inside and was pleasantly surprised at the helpfulness of the workers, I highly recommend to stay in the hotel. If you have doubts, look at other reviews. This place needs no introduction :D

Unbelievable customer service and edicate. While in the bar/lobby, was offered and subsequently given a tour of a handicap room for future reference after asking one of the concierges about accessibility. Beautiful place, wonderful experience, and great location!

The main attraction to this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I was disappointed with the size of the rooms. I wouldn t recommend a family staying here. The service was great, the parking was horrible. Once again, my main turn off is the room size and the inability to receive a hot shower. It gets a few degrees above warm.

I've stayed in hundreds of Hyatts so this is a review on the location, not the brand. Although quite friendly, they wouldn't allow my wife to change the reservation into my name when her plans changed - but told her they had. They wouldn't allow the payment method to be changed - but told her and me they had. They wouldn't allow really any basic things that 99% of all hotels pull off in a 60 second encounter.

When someone looks you in the eye and tells you that its done, you think its done. When someone looks you in the eye says "dont worry, you wont be charged", you aren't happy when you see that you are overcharged $421. When you state these problems and meet a wall of policy, all you can do is post an honest review and make a note to never return.

PS - great rooms, beds, everything. Even the people. I guess it must be their policies that I am reviewing.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Great location right in the middle of downtown. Within walking distance to Riverwalk park and restaurants. Did not give 5 star due to lack of check in staff handling the lobby area. Had to wait 15+ minutes for any staff to come to desk for check in at 5:00 pm with 2 other people standing in line as well. Same experience when going to check out the following morning at 8 am. No one to be found for over 15 minutes. No valet parking services being offered either.

The king room we had was nice except for a backed up sink which the front desk had fixed promptly. The TV was the largest I ever seen in a hotel room! We were gone most of the day after checking in which was very smooth. There is no breakfast associated with the hotel but there is an attached Starbucks. The restaurant next to the hotel is called The Roost open lunch and dinner.

Great location at the top of the main street in downtown Greenville. Rooms are slightly underwhelming after seeing the main lobby and the building itself, though nice. The bathroom was the nicest part of the room and matched the modern, high-end theme. The pillows were also some of the best I've seen at a hotel. Every staff member we ran into was friendly and eager to help out. Definitely going back to this one!

For the most part, the room was nice. The only complaints I had is: the fridge was teeny and not very cold, the blankets were laughable (think hospital blanket).
Yeah, it had a full ironing board and iron, a beautiful bathroom (mirror was awesome), motion sensitive bed lights (bottom of platform bed), and a giant tv. The coffee maker was for one cup at a time...who drinks just one cup of coffee?
The only other complaint I had was that the microwave was located on the floor lobby near the floor elevators.
For the amount of money these rooms are for, (way over $100) a bigger fridge and a microwave IN the room would be nice.
I will say however that the lobby, the shops and the bar is bangin.

Concierge: Relatively pleasant, but it was observed that not all guests received the same service in terms of demeanor. In the hospitality industry, it is important to regard each hotel guest with the same esteem regardless of what they may look like.

Lobby/Atrium: Large, open and stunning. Beautiful conference rooms and lounge areas. There is a bar located inside for your convenience and the hotel itself is adjacent to many great restaurants and retail establishments.

Room: Generally, clean but could have used some dusting around the flat screen. To add to the flat screen, there was no remote available in my room. The room was slightly dated (techies, no USB plugin box) but a good size. The room I stayed in didn't have a microwave or fridge but a beautiful view of the atrium. The bathroom was modernized but a bit cramped.

Comfort: Comfortable beds, but for having a late checkout, the room service gets started early and loudly. I was really looking forward to some peace and quiet in the morning bit it didn't happen.

Overall it was a decent experience, but I did prefer my stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites right near Falls Park in downtown Greenville a week ago. It didn't have as many amenities but better service, I thought, and certainly much quieter.

2 stars for the building and the location. However my wife and I were treated pretty poorly by the staff. We stayed there 7/19 - 7/22 for a convention and when we arrived for check-in it took them almost 30minutes to issue our room keys. We thought it was because the young lady at the front desk was new and that's something we could understand and overlook. We later found out, from another guest, that the hotel was in the process of switching their room key system. We were issued keys for the new system since the lock on our door was just updated. Here's the catch, the pool are and side doors of the hotel still use the old key system. This left us without pool access during the day, and us being stranded outside of the hotel at night. After waiting over 20mins outside we decided to call the front desk to have someone come let us in. The young man who came to open the door for us offered no apology or explanation. We informed him of our issue and how we were never made aware that our new room keys could leave us without access to common area door locks. He laughed and said "yea, we're updating our system". I said that's fine but an explanation at check in and an apology for the inconvenience now would be nice. He chuckled and repeated that they're switching systems. I had to straight up ask this man for an apology to finally get one that was half-hearted to say the least. There were some other minor issues like our towels having brown stains and the bellhops being pushy. The best thing about the hotel is it's location and the events that take place downtown right outside the hotel doors. But, overall it was just a bad experience for us.

Okay this is a really nice hotel. Ended uo being put here as some other place we were gonna stay at was booked. Anyway. This hotel is quality. Nice bathroom, nice room, nice common area, friendly staff.

The new lobby was a great place to relax after taking care of business during the day.

The location was very convenient for walking to the nearby restaurant's and waterfalls.

The employees who checked me in were very pleasant and more than willing to point out some of the best spots to eat.

The rooms were decent as well. I have been places where the rooms were a little nicer and had more complimentary items but for the price the rooms were nothing to be upset about.

Overall, my experience went well. The facility is very modern, and clean as far as COVID-19 goes. They were also generous with passing out free masks for each day we were there. The only thing unfortunate was finding a waterbug in our room twice. I communicated this to staff and so I hope this problem is addressed but it wouldn t prevent me from staying again.

During my stay earlier in April 2018 I experienced no issues here. This past weekend, however, was quite different. Upon arrival I was waiting for my parking pass which I had been given while staying in April. The front desk individual appeared annoyed at such a request and categorically denied that the hotel ever gave out parking passes (such denial being untruthful on his part). He curtly stated that the city of Greenville owns the garage and Hyatt has never had any control over it. Again, a falsehood. It is classless of a front desk person to lie to a customer. The next morning as we were leaving to check out, the front desk person said "no additional charges and you are good to go." (Except for the $10.00 we had to fork out for parking). But actually there were additional charges, as I just found out today while perusing my credit card statement. There was an inexplicable additional $8.00 charge. I phoned the hotel front desk and they explained that this was for the two bottles of water which we had consumed in the room. I mentioned to the front desk person that I recalled seeing a card which read that these water bottles were complimentary. She condescendingly replied that such complimentary gifts "are only for our elite members." Another classless gesture from the front desk of Hyatt Regency Greenville. Please do not honor their aloof approach to the truth and to managing a hotel by patronizing them.

Our company hosts meetings and occupy a hundred rooms per event in Hyatt on major cities. At this particular one in greenville downtown I stayed, complimentary shuttle is included in a 4-5 star hotel which this hotel provides. I went up to the shuttle desk and the gentleman Charles at the the shuttle desk said he can drop me off for 20$ Which was only a couple miles away. I told him uber would cost me less than that and then he said why don't you take an uber then. I would not mind tipping the guy for service but asking 20$ upfront and declining the ride if I did not want to pay for complimentary shuttle is absurd. Management needs to stop this gig of making under the table money.

I attended a conference that was held here. I've never stayed in a hotel of this caliber and it didn't have lush carpeting. The laminate slate floors were a huge disappointment. The front desk attendant said that this was something they were moving towards and acknowledged that she's received several complaints about not having carpet in all of the rooms. A semi-positive: I had a huge television (60" - I asked) in my room. It would've been more pleasurable if the layout of the room was different. I was extremely uncomfortable trying to swivel the television to somewhat face the bed. My colleages room was the exact opposite, though. 32" tv, carpeting, and a more user-friendly layout. Other than that, it's a nice hotel. I would recommend only if carpet is installed, though.

My spouse and I stayed for the weekend (valentine's day Friday through Sunday). Upon arrival in our room. We went to shower because we both had worked all day. The bathroom wasn't clean. There was hair in the shower, on the toilet, and the floor. We called to inform the desk attendant. They sent someone to clean it. Once we got ready we dinned that evening at the Roost restaurant that was attached. The food wasn't great and overpriced for what you got. Our server was neglecteful. He didn't refill drinks in a timely manner or check on us. We ended up asking another server for our check and she knew who our poor server was and agreed. We informed the manager and he did take one of our meals off the check. Once checking out this morning they asked about our stay and we told them. Their solution was to offer us a meal at the Roost. We declined. They then offered to take care of our 22 dollar tab at the bar and give us some points. The atmosphere and location were nice just wish the place was cleaner.

This hotel is awsome. It is located right next to main street where all the restaurants and shopping are. The open atrium and bar give it a very fun vibe. The staff is amazing and you very much feel their southern hospitality.
