The Christmas trees by local organizations are awesome. They were very helpful with getting a parking pass for me when I went to visit my family who were staying there.
Very nice place. It's right at N Main St. Where there's lots to do within walking distance.
Enjoyed dinner and drinks with my wife. Great view and service. We will definitely be back
Nice hotel. Great location. Will pick you up and drop you off at airport.
Great location, good atmosphere at the bar. Very nice indoor open space.
Always a pleasant place to walk around, my granddaughter loves the glass elevator. They don't lock up their restrooms (unlike Westin).
Had a few drinks and enjoyed the outside. Place was nice, but beer choices were limited. Also a little pricey
Good location with many restaurants in walking distance.
Corporate Christmas Party. Great downtown location.
I decorated a Christmas Tree for the annual Festival of Trees, and it seemed like a great hotel. Nice layout, very well kept.
Second time at this hotel. Just as great as I remembered with a few exceptions. The gym doubles as a sauna (not sure about anybody else but I do not like to lift or do any cardio when the room is 80 degrees). The free shuttle service is nice, but be prepared to be drenched in sweat as this also doubles as a sauna.
Also, it seems like staff do not want to take responsibility for dishes of food left in the hallways. It's simply an eyesore and doesn't detract from my room or the conference I attended, but I would say that at least half of the times I walked to/from my hotel room, there were one or more dishes of half-eaten food on the floor in the hallways. It'd be one thing if I saw it and next time it was gone, but this stuff sits there for HOURS. Saw one plate with scrambled eggs and fruits at 10am, same plate at 4pm. Next day something else.
Lastly, just a suggestion in the event hotel staff still monitor and reply to these reviews on a semi-frequent basis: please open the pool earlier, the weather is plenty fine in the month of April to warrant an outdoor pool.
Edit: forgot to mention a few other gripes... Bathroom jam packed like a walk-in closet, where you had to be mindful of the swing path of the door, couldn't find a place to hang towels besides one tiny hook which towels kept falling off of, difficult to control room temperature, we found ourselves sweating in the middle of the night despite the thermostat claiming 66 degrees (68-69 is what I'm typically comfortable sleeping in).
Absolutely beautiful inside cant ask for better service
Spacious rooms, great location, and friendly staff. What else can you ask for? Well done Hyatt Regency Greenville!
It's what I would expect from a Hyatt......great room and service.
Outstanding location right at the heart of downtown activities, restaurants of all kinds, and local bars. Staff are very nice and helpful.
Hotel was very fancy, everything was very proper and staff was friendly
Love this hotel. Cleanest hotel I've been to in awhile. Inside the hotel suites there are hardwood floors. No carpet! The bathrooms are spa-like with jade-shower heads. The pillows were awful because it wasn't much plush inside of them. The staff needs to clean undermeath the beds to remove the dust bunnies. The hotel lobby was my favorite spot to study and do homework. There are a plethora of places to get some good reading or studying done.
Great hotel in downtown Greenville with an active scene around it. Rooms are upgraded and modern with comfortable beds. Nice outdoor pool and area, I recommend swimming near dusk to take in the sky as it goes dark. Pretty decent fitness room with to of the line equipment. Parking garage is next door for a small fee so be aware of that. I would stay here again.
Very nice place in a very Progressive part of town.
I can only say that the place is nice, didnt spend much time there. It is very pretty
This hotel is very unique. Lot of space, exellent to relax ,good bar inside hotel, and restaurants next to it!
Outstanding so far. I hurt my knee on the way in so I made use of the valet parking. Check in was a breeze and the room is beautiful.
Everything was great, except that there is no safe inside the room. For the price, I'd expect one inside, but the staff was lovely, especially Amy and Cathy, and the hotel is really nice and very well located.
Perfect location for anything downtown! This upscale hotel has beautiful interior and welcoming, friendly staff!
The Hyatt Regency Greenville was renovated within the past year. It is really nice. There are 60 inch TVs in every room. The Furnishings are modern and updated. The food in general is very good as well. I was attending a conference and it was a great overall experience.
They will steal your money:
I stayed in a room that displayed $195 but they charged me $245.
Other issues:
1. Poor Wifi
2. They claim to provide you a long list of items, but there was almost nothing in my room (slippers, shaving cream, razor etc) which they have a card in the room that says will be provided to every guest.
Clean!!! Love the tile floors. The staff was fantastic. It is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities we could have wanted. Right on the end of the strip of everything you want to do downtown. Walking distance to everything. Will absolutely stay here again.
The Hyatt is always beautifully decorated for Christmas. Local groups decorate various trees making this a must see as part of your downtown Greenville experience.
Very comfortable rooms. Great staff. Good food! I really enjoyed our stay there last night. Thank you!
Met friend for coffee and coffee tasted burnt. Not really a starsmucks fan although like their different blends that I can grind and brew at home.
Music on Main on Friday nights..ALWAYS a great time!!!
My stay in the hotel itself was wonderful, but the bartender downstairs named Lisa was the most condescending woman I ve ever come across. Not only did she ignore my boyfriend and I because we didn t look the part but after I ordered a bottle of wine to take to the room, she was sure to clarify the price. Just because I was not wearing a $200 suit, does not mean I did not pay $200 just to stay one night. She is unprofessional and disrespectful unless you re wearing a Rolex. Please fire her is you appreciate the business of the locals.
False Advertising or Lack of Knowledge About Their Own Property - You Choose. There is good and bad about this hotel. First this hotel's indicates that it has an atrium suite for which you can have 1 King Bed or 2 double beds. When I called, Carol Shepherdton told me the website is wrong and if I wanted 2 double beds I would have to pay $200 more because it was a King Suite with a parlor and no way to separate the King Suite from the Atrium Suite. She said a person would have to also rent the adjoining suite to get 2 double beds. I rented the Atrium Suite and got a rollaway bed. However, immediately in the suite, I recognized that the King Bed is in a separate adjoining suite with the usual double adjoining suite doors and the double bed suite (which is suite number 666 by the way) is easily switched to be the suite with the King Suite closed off for rent by another. This indicates to me that the managers do not know their own hotel. The website is probably correct and management is wrong. Nevertheless, things I like- pretty lobby, atrium suite is very large for a decent price, the hotel is in a great location, employees are usually very polite when you get a chance to speak to them. The king bed is comfortable. The rollaway bed is comfortable. Other nice downtown hotels (Westin and Aloft) do not have suites that allow 4 people in a room. Things I don't like: Front desk employees don't answer the phone. Housekeeping closing around 7 pm and phones are rerouted to front desk. From the atrium suite I could look down at the front desk and see when they were intentionally ignoring the phone with no customers in front of them. I had to go downstairs to their desk to get anything. The pool closes at 8:00. The room is not at a 4 diamond standard of cleanliness. Vents were clogged with dust balls, coffee maker was not cleaned out, grout needs cleaning. Sofa bed is like sleeping on rocks. I was told that I had to appear in person to check out although I am a Hyatt passport member. I haven't had to do that at any hotel in about 5 -10 years. I usually check out online, on the tv or just leave and they check me out.
For the price my company spent for a weekend getaway I would have rather a stay at the Hampton Inn. At least we would have had a decent breakfast. And not subject to a 16.99 buffet
Dog friendly! Motifs are many and a little confusing. Is it the 80's 90's or 2018? Great rusty nail made by the bartender.
Passing through lobby to use the restroom, courteous staff, great decor and ambience, comfortable environment.
Last stay was great, I'm sure this one will be the same. Great location downtown with lots of places to go shop/eat.
The place is nice great service the breakfast was good close to fall in Greenville some minor problems but the overall experience was satisfying.
I will say this hotel is centrally located to the city here in downtown Greenville. The hotel rooms have this large ~60in TV and sweet bed. My only downside is the air conditioning wouldn't go below 70. I enjoy my room freezing when going to bed. My view is from inside the hotel and it was pretty sweet.
Visited for a workshop for my job and it was very nice. They served our group a VERY delicious breakfast. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing was how thin the conference room walls were. We could hear the loud music and yelling in the next room while our speakers were talking. Aside from that, it was great.
Stayed for a conference. The staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious. Gave a good price through the SALT conference. Great location. Only complaint is that the stairs were not accessible when the elevators are full it would be nice to have stairs instead of waiting for 10 min to get up one floor.
I was attending a volunteer celebration and the staff at the Hyatt was super helpful.
Nice hotel. Rudest guests anywhere. Doors slamming all night long. Had to call front desk and it still didn't quiet down. Never stay there again.
Nice hotel in a good location. If you get at a decent price i would recomend
Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was a bit pricey, otherwise everything was great
Got an upgrade due to inclement weather during my business trip. Right at the heart of downtown Greenville, it's a walkable distance from most attractions downtown. It's a nice place with upscale amenities and friendly staff. Features an in house restaurant that offers door delivery of fresh breakfast, expansive lounge and TV area, cocktail bar and a well maintained Starbucks. Free parking over the weekend too during my stay. Furthermore they graciously offered one of their board rooms to conduct our audio conference just in case our regular place of work wasnt up and running due to the storm outage. Overall, a very positive experience.
My 5 day stay was interesting at the Hyatt Place Greenville. You have excellent staff like Corey, Beverly, and Joe...the food was delicious each morning and well-prepared and presented, but the front desk manner was sullen and disagreeable. She just seemed unhappy with her position and even unfriendly to the other employees. She told me I could not get a shuttle to the airport, yet slots were open the morning of my flight. Joe tried to make things right by calling a taxi for me since I had given proper notice that I needed transportation. So much lack of communication. I can't imagine what really goes on, but I saw an uneveness in customer service. At one point I was called and asked if someone could clean the carpet in my room as a carpet cleaning company was onsite..WHAT .carpet cleaning in the middle of my stay! Needless to say, I won't be back at the Hyatt Place Greenville.
I was at an event in Noma Square outside of the Hyatt for Oktoberfest and the space and people were very friendly.
Showers are not forgiving for tall people. Hotel was nice otherwise.
Nice hotel Midtown location Rooms need to be upgraded a bit
Hotel staff friendly and helpful...had to ask for a fridge in my room, meeting rooms and hallways need a makeover or just some paint...if you pay cash at check in they make you pay a $100 incidental fee, refundable at checkout...very tacky.
The atrium is beautiful but the hotel room left a little to be desired. Hardly any bathroom counter space and no fridge in the room.
Friendly, clean, welcoming, Starbucks attached to the hotel!
Nice, modern, full of amenities hotel in the heart of downtown Greenville SC. Great spot if ur visiting - short walk from everything the town has to offer.
The customer service in this place is top notch!
*I messed up my booking and they went above and beyond to help me straighten it out.
*We called down to request a corkscrew and not only were they prompt but insisted on lending us bada$$ wine glasses as well.
Everything included would highly recommend and will go back.
As one would expect from a Hyatt, high quality everything. Nice rooms, great shops in the atrium and all the amenities.
