Hyatt Regency Greenville Review

We dashed into the lobby to look around while walking around downtown Greenville. The lobby is spacious and inviting, and the bar in the lower lobby is lovely!

I checked in at 530 PM and had to wait about 30 mins to get a room. Was kind of annoying for it being so late. Overheard another gentleman have to move to another hotel because they gave his room away. Room was great and the staff were friendly but I'd keep this in mind when reserving.

Great place to stay in downtown Greenville! Being a hyatt member, I tend to gravitate towards hyatt however this experience was just amazing. Right at the bustling center of Main Street activity. The lobby space is great with a hip bar in the center and the restaurant inside, Roost, serves very tasty brunch and other fare!

Worth every penny!!. I really enjoyed my stay great location..

Beautifully decorated hotel in beautifully decorated downtown Greenville. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. HUGE flat screen tv. You ll want for nothing here.

Visit the festival of trees at Hyatt and it was great.

I was double charged and never received help from the management staff. Called over 10 times spoke finally with 1 and got no where. Had to file dispute with my bank to get my money back.

I am a native of Greenville, SC and often attend events at the Hyatt. This time during the 2017 Southeastern US Japan Conference (SEUS Japan) was particularly memorable. Every banquet/event staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. I had a personal encounter with Mr. Keith Morin and Mr. Johnny D. whose attention to detail and care for the customer far exceeded my expectation when they took time to secure a small, seemingly insignificant item (Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics lapel pin not even for sale given to me by the Mayor of City Kawasaki, host of 2020 Summer Paralympics) that had fallen off my suit somewhere in the hotel! I happened to ask Mr. Morin, he remembered it because he found it and sat it aside. Neither Mr. Morin nor Mr. Johnny discarded it, but were able to return it to me in short order. It was important to me! I appreciate their service, care and attention to detail.

We asked for an extra pillow and it smelled like it was not cleaned very well. Moldy.. Other than that our stay was nice.

Great stay, except housekeeping could have turned off the alarm clock the previous guest had set.

People were in the lobby were squares, bar was nice, female bartender was attentive & polite. Nice hotel!

The Hyatt Regency Greenville is a comfortable conference venue situated close to restaurants and entertainment. My brief stay here has been enhanced by the great nearby food choices (including a good bowl of ramen, which was a bonus for me). The convenience as a Starbucks within the structure cannot be overstated. The rooms are attractive and the staff have been friendly, attentive, and helpful.

Great location in downtown Greenville. I was here for a conference and everyone was very hospitable and friendly.

It is a very beautiful property. And I find it to be a relatively quaint yet modern city. I will be returning to spend a few days there

Just went in to use their public restroom, seems like a real nice place.

This place is great. It couldn't be more convenient to the tourist areas. There's a great Irish pub across the street. I would stay here again, but I would wait for a sale because I visit places like Greenville for fun on weekend trips.

Met here for an interview, and it was a very nice establishment. Hope to return soon.

Went to look at the Christmas trees in the lobby. It was a very pleasant experience

Booked this room in March and stayed there July 12 (my husband and I). to go to a concert at the Bon Secours Center. The room was tiny and the bathroom was very tiny. No place around the sink to even lay your makeup or hair spray. The bathroom door would not move. It was a little more than half closed. (We did not report it.) Three light bulbs were out. The bed was extremely comfortable but not at all where you could sit on it and watch TV. Looking out the window, you could only see a brick wall. The staff was nice. The location was wonderful - within walking distance to the concert hall. There were numerous eating place (good ones) within walking distance. This was no where near a $239.00 room - very disappointed in that. We only live an hour away and thought it was a great idea not to have to drive back home so late. However, the room itself sure dampened our spirits.

There for a conference great facility, but at time staff was not prepared.

Of all the terrible things that happened to me during my stay here over the weekend, let me start with the most annoying: I had no sheets on my bed, there were no outlets anywhere near the bed, and they attempted to CHARGE me to use one of those luggage carts. Just do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to hold your event or stay while you are in town. The staff is polite but the rooms are cheap and uncomfortable. This is hands down the worst Hyatt in the country. Avoid at all costs.

The room was filthy...dust an inch thick on the furniture...Under the bathroom sink was filthy..hair and dust as well...Outdated and scratched up furniture...no refrigerator...carpets are filthy and old...front desk didn't seem to know what they were doing...parked in the garage and couldn't get out because they didn't give the correct card..said they would comp our parking and never did...I could have stayed in another hotel for a lot cheaper than this.. and clean...We paid $200 for this room and it was only worth $60 at best...Bad experience all the way around..Never will stay in a Hyatt again.

I took my mother to the Hyatt Regency in Greenville to celebrate a special occasion on 5/2, reserving an Atrium Suite with a king bed. After checking in, I was told our suite was not booked and that we were reserved for a standard double. The first associate I spoke with told me there were seven weddings within the hotel, and there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak with the manager on staff and was directed to the front desk supervisor, Giannina S. She was gracious from the moment we spoke, working hard to reach a satisfactory resolution. After confirming there was no suite. she offered to walk us to a different hotel, comp a second room to connect our standard or comp our meals in the on-site restaurant. We were happy with the meal option, and left to go shopping after she promised to rush the turnover of a king atrium view room. When we came back, we were happy to find a tray of fresh and dried fruit, chocolate and yogurt dip, an ice bucket filled with various pops and a kind note. Both our breakfast and dinner at the Roost were wonderful, the staff were helpful and the hotel was beautiful. We both slept great and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hyatt Regency is very lucky to have Giannina- she is a true asset.

They had a cute Christmas tree display! And public restrooms.

I went here to work a conference. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the place was spotless. Do not know about the rooms, but if the rest of the place was any indication, the rooms should have been awesome as well.

Attended a seminar for work at the Hyatt. It is a beautiful hotel and the location downtown is perfect.

Charges for parking and at the room rate they should provide free breakfast. I guess they are just banking on corporate money (conferences and these being expenses to be reimbursed).

I wouldn't call this a four star hotel. While the lobby is grand the room are not all that.

TV not working in the room, called twice and nobody ever showed up to fix. Nice restaurant with good and well trained staff.

Pretty good service. Only there a single night on my wedding night. The bed was missing a fitted sheet but we didn't exactly want to have to switch rooms at that point so we just dealt with it
