We were greeted at checkin and acknowledged our Hyatt program status. Checkin was prompt, courteous. I inquired about making reservations for dinner the next night as it was my wife's birthday and was referred to the concierge desk. Checked into room which was very nice, similar to Hyatt resort properties we have stayed in before. After going back downstairs for lunch, I stopped by the concierge's ~1 pm to make reservations for dinner the next nite requesting party of 3 for 7 or 7:30p. The concierge was less than pleasant and indicated the times available were 6:15 and 8:45 and that a credit card is required; moreover, should we change our minds and fail to cancel the reservation 4-5 hours before the reserved time, I could expect to be charged 35$ per person. Told that we were staying in hotel, she said that did not matter and if I wanted reservations, a credit card was required. I gave her the credit card I had used to check into hotel.
Beside encountering this person, our stay was great. But your treating guests as prospective scofflaws regarding dinner reservations will encourage one to dine off premises in the future or simply forego you hotel altogether. It's not like nearby enough Austin doesn't have a trove of excellent dining spots that don't instantly consider a request for a dinner reservation a fiscal risk requiring a punitive measure to assure commitments are honored.
There are organized activities available for guests to participate in. Recreational activities include pools, golf, tennis courts, hiking trails, horseback riding, bicycles. An excellent spa also are on premises. Tom, the attendant there kept the place in good shape on the men's side which was otherwise empty my times there.
The resort is spacious and beautiful, and is tucked away on a huge property away from the city. By and large our experience was very good. Could have been excellent, but one person can sour a stay, and this is really unnecessary.

Pet friendly!! Every person in this resort has been fantastic. Check in was smooth and pleasant (Akash and another lady). The spa attendant was sweet and kind. My massage therapist (Travis) was great. My waiter at dinner last night (Duane) was funny and awesome. The girls in the coffee shop were caring and just lovely. Hindsight, I wish I would have written down all of their names, they all deserve to have their managers told about how they went above and beyond for me.

The resort is really old and the service was the worst I've ever experienced for $550 a night. We pulled up to the front door because I have a 4 month old baby and way too much stuff. Nobody ever came to provide help (September 12-14, Saturday-Monday.) I had to go grab a cart to put all of our stuff on. It was me (36 year old woman, my 60 year old mother, and my 4 month old baby.) 2 bored valet guys stood there and watched us load up the cart with all of our baby stuff, and as I was pushing the cart in to the lobby I asked 1 of them if I could valet my car or was I in the wrong place. He said yes and gave me a valet ticket. Walked in at 2:00 and they told me my room wouldn't be ready until 4. We went to the pool. Don't get there a minute before your reservation because they won't check you in a minute early. They said they'd contact me by phone when my room was ready. I walked up there 10 minutes before 4 (after sitting in a chair right in front of the desk with a sleeping baby for 20 minutes) and it was ready. Nobody helped us get our cart full of baby stuff and luggage, while we pushed our stroller and held our sleeping baby to the room. When we got to the room our phone gave a busy signal any button we pushed to ask about getting food, so I had to call the internet phone number from my cell phone, ask for the operator, then have her transfer me to the restaurant. The last day I called the operator again to get my car pulled up to the front and it just rang and rang. My mom walked up there to get a cart herself and to give them our valet ticket. When we walked to the front they pulled my car up, but in that 10 minutes lost my keys. All in all, my first getaway with my baby and Mom for my birthday was exhausting with no help from the hotel. Would not recommend. But enjoyed the pool, so gave an extra star.

My husband and I stayed for our wedding anniversary two years ago and just went back to take the kids. Coming in the off season is nice since the hotel isn't nearly as crowded as it is during the summer. I did miss the wagon ride that they had when we were there two years ago. We found the beds were comfortable both times. The food was decent. By requesting a microwave in our room, we were able to stretch out one meal into two by taking leftovers with us. The hotel bars close early. The staff was very friendly and responsive to any needs we had. Wish there were more activities for younger kids. My youngest is 5 and couldn't do any of the group activities so we spent most of our time in the pool area.

We are frequent fliers at this resort and that is for a good reason. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful! My kids love the lazy river and s mores station. The best part is the customer service. The first time we ever went to Lost Pines my wife was 7 months pregnant. The AC in our room wasn t working properly. The front desk sent staff to our room and they moved all of our belongings to another room with upgrades. When I say they moved us, they literally brought a wheelchair for my wife and wheeled her to our new room. In the morning during checkout I was simply expecting an apology from management but they comped our room for the night and gave us an additional night to return. Needless to say, my family has been back many times since then. We travel quite frequently and Lost Pines has become our favorite destination for a quick and enjoyable getaway. Can t wait for our next visit!

Nice resort with sprawling acres to explore. Authentically local feeling with ranch animals onsite which you can interact with. Right on Colorado River.

They brought in food trucks for the event which were outstanding, the hotel restaurant F&B was average though.

Good customer service, rooms looking dated, feels as if they have not been updated since resort opened in 2006.

The Hyatt Hotel has not forgotten of one thing when it came to entertaining your family. They have thought of it all. From horseback riding to ziplining to golf or getting a message at there wonderful spa. They have activity for toddlers to our active seniors. They have a swimming pools for all ages an a beautiful lazy river you could float all day in. In the evening it was wonderful to sit by the river, that flows threw the property an watch movies on a large movie screen that was put out on a wonderful grassy area. To end the evening a large bonfire where folks of all ages could enjoy cooking up there own s'mores. It truly is a lovely place
especially for families.
I'm not sure I would recommend for the more romantic couple, looking for that special quiet romantic weekend. The staff were wonderful an friendly. It all sounds perfect RIGHT ?
Except for the cost. This hotel may have had the perfect plan to keep every age entertained for a weekend of fun. But way over priced for the average family. I found it outrageous to be paying in the mid $200.00s or higher a night for a very average room. Then to be charged $12.00 a day to park 1/2 a mile away. Or the ridiculous price of $35.00 a day for valet parking plus tips remind you, an sorry to say this is only the beginning. Expect your wallet to be open at every turn of your stay.
Hyatt had a great idea, but not to friendly for the average family, when it comes to your wallet. I'm sorry but I think Hyatt should at least let there guest have free parking sence they are charging you for every step of your stay. Oh also the ridiculous price of $50.00 to have your hair blown dry. Lovely place in theory. But sorry we wont return.

I stayed here for business and had a nice stay. This place is most definitely off the beaten path. It had a Texas lodge feel with a rustic atmosphere with warm cozy fireplaces dotted with western art. The rooms st spacious and comfortable. I had a view of some trees and a large fire pit. There were several fire pits scattered around the property which were lit in the evenings
I had lunch in the restaurant. It consisted of a chopped s as lad topped with a grilled salmon fillet. It was a generous portion and quite delicious. For dinner, our business associates were served on a large 2nd level porch. We had a smoked primerib which was tender and cooked to perfection. The salad was above average and the sides were ok. The hush puppies were great. They were sweet and spicy with a touch of cheese. Dessert was very good. I had a bread pudding topped with local fresh toasted pecans and a lovely warm chocolate sauce. It was s lovely dinner.

It was okay. I have stayed at better places for the price. We were on the third floor and the AC didn't work that good in our room. It took all night for it to cold down. So I was sweating all night while I was trying to sleep. The mini fridge in the room made a buzzing sound all night. So it was not a great night sleep.

This was such a great getaway and very relaxing. There were so many activities to do such as visiting with the animals in the morning (which I loved) and s mores at night. There are also many excursion/activities such as horseback riding that are available and can pay extra for.

Very nice hotel and very nice staff. Great grounds for day hiking and even went kayaking one day. The s'mores at night while for the kids, was awesome for me too as I am a kid at heart. The pool area looked like fun too cold when I was there to get in, but I did use the hot tub by the spa and my girlfriend got a massage there she really liked. Had a bit of an issue with ants in the bed, but the place is out in the woods and the staff there took care of it instantly and gave me money back. I intend to return and might bring my clubs next time as I hear the golf there is nice.

Beautiful resort!! The staff was top notch. I had a wonderful lady walk me across the building to ensure I got to the correct conference room. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and was so kind!! Love the resort!!

Beautiful resort hidden away in nature yet not too far from the city (about 35 minutes from downtown Austin). Surrounded by trees and a golf course. Haven't experienced all the amenities but the setting is nice.

The place did a great job hosting the event we attended. Meals were good, staff was friendly and attentive, place was clean and inviting. The drawback was having to walk a very, very long way to get from the parking lot to the hotel...it's like they went out of their way to make that difficult and doing it in the rain was miserable. I would attend another event there, but definitely would not choose this place as a destination.

I was here for a conference, never to return. Everything about it was second rate. It appears people are willing to overlook much for sentiment. My room was disgustingly dirty. I can't stand fake friendly staff. This place runs on laurels. Maybe time for a redo.

Amazing getaway spot!! Lazy river, sandy beach, lots of shade. Bikes, lawn movies, Smores, kid games, saddled longhorns and the alpacas made this the highlight of or summer! The only issue is the charge for everything: parking, kid adventures, and drinks were pricey.

As a Native Texan this is the furthest thing away from Texas hospitality..I sponsor a Car club that attends here.
On my first attempt they would not even allow me to stay with my group even being a sponsor for that group.
I told myself I would never attend again.
I decided to give it another shot a few years later. The service in the hotel area is very quality. The food is chili's quality and the service in the restaurant is lacking. That pretty much sums it up.

If the price was matched to the quality of food and service then I would have no complaints.

I went to Zooma, a 1\2 marathon race held there. It's a very beautiful location nestled among green rolling hills. There's lots to do swimming, horseback, riding, golf, tennis etc. The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. The have a couple of restaurants & Django Spa. A very pleasant place to relax. It's close to Austin , yet far enough away to feel like a vacation

After walking into the guest room, it looked ok. ...

After walking into the guest room, it looked ok. After the first day and waking up to the clock being set incorrectly! I was already late for the day having the curtains being closed and not seeing the day light. After my family and I took our showers I left to play golf. My wife took the kids to the heated pool! Wasn't heated, Surprise!! That was not what we were told when we made the reservations months ago. That was one of the reasons that we choose this place. After getting back we decided to take a nap since I do have a 2 year old. The Water facet in the bath tub would not stop dripping!!!!!!!! I had to twist it extremely hard to get it to stop. Wife apparently just left the room and would not come back because of the noise. After meeting a couple at the Shellars restaurant we were explaining our experience and found out they have a shower instead of a tub. When we were at shellers we were sat in the very back in a corner with no lights!!! Asked the waiter and she said they must be broke and walked away. We went back to the room and found out we were in a handicap room which may be why we had a tub in the room. I didn't ask for a handicap room especially the cost of what I was paying for the room. My 2 year daughter went out on the balcony and both my wife and I got into an argument about why we didn't have it locked. Woke up the next morning to play another round of golf to find my 2 year old daughter out on the balcony again!! I walked out there got her back in and found out the LOCK ON THE DOOR DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!! Never will I go back, ever. There are more issues but after finding the lock didn't work and that being a safety issue I was done. I had signed up to play another round of golf while my wife decided to take both our kids to the hot tub because we promised them they could swim this weekend. I get a call on the golf course with my wife extremely upset again that the key would not allow her back in the room. She asked the house keeper to let her in and the house keeper showed her something on a device saying that check out was 11:00 AM. I had to stop what I was doing and send her the email conformation that I paid extra to have check out at 2:00PM (50.00 extra dollars). So my wife and kids wet and in swim suits had to stand in line to get this situation handled. She got back in the room and through everything back in car and parked at the wolf dancer parking lot to wait for me to finish. She was pissed!! We left as soon as I was done. I heard about all the problems on the way home to both of realizing that we forgot some of the gifts that we bought from the gift shop that was on the tv dresser. We contacted them and I now get to pay another 20 Dollars to ship to box bingo games to San Antonio from Bastrop. Never will I stay there again.
