We were not even supposed to be at this resort but due to readiness delays (other resort was not completed on schedule) at our booked resort Cheap Caribbean offered that we could stay here instead. Given that this was a last minute change, only 2 days before our trip I was very impressed how accommodating the resort was to our needs; due to mobility concerns we required a first floor room.

The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. The food here was very good, keep up the good work Carlos, we enjoyed the seaside grill Jose and Tito really made us feel welcome. The best part of this resort is the service, could not have asked for a better experience.

When we make it back to Punta Cana we definitely know where we'll be staying.

Great resort overall! However don't pay to Preferred level as those high cost rooms are dainty and Preferred level restaurant doesn't offer anything special. They don't use wrist bands so anyone can walk in and out of preferred level. You can negotiate and upgrade to a suite while you are there for a better deal. Suites are great for families with kids. Enjoy the vacation on this overall beautiful resort with wonderful staff members and very kid friendly environment.

Arrived I was disappointed with very small room. single bed for 4 people. They offer me an upgrade at an exorbitant price. $ 700 for 7 nights. In addition our room is too old all rusty in the room.
Restaurant, nothing special, ordinary food with the same choices every day. I am very disappointed and will come back more surtt that it is the 1st time I come on vacation with my children. I arrive for morning to make me lomelette she tells me there are more mushrooms.

I had high expectations for going out of the country for the first time I was a little disappointed the room was like a super 8. Not luxurious as i expected And not all the food was great..

But the service was amazing. The beach was amazing the drinks were amazing. I would forsure go again for a little bit of a lower price.

I want to specifically shout out Richard and Sammy because they made an impression on me.

Nice resort good services in general and good buffet.
The restaurants are good too.
But the negative points is the algae and the water is not clear.
Well maintained resort but it remains an old resort.

Nice place. Friendly staff. If you've never had sales people hard up on you... We'll get ready. They got at least a whole day of salesy things coming for you to attempt to avoid.
Also, if you want good food, bring some dress clothes. Even if you're looking for leisure. The all inclusive restaurants that you paid for have dress codes to thin the herd and save on money.

Nice relaxing resort. The only downside is that men have to wear pants at all the Restaurants beside the buffet, and if it wasn't snowing when I left my house I never would have had any pants. Quiet atmosphere, nice beach to walk along, and very nice rooms especially the rainfall shower.

In a nutshell, avoid at all costs. Unlike the other Dreams resorts I've been to (Riviera Cancun, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Vallarta) this resort lacks in many of the ways that make the other resorts special. As someone else wrote, the staff normally is only helpful after they warm up to you and you've shown you know how to tip. In general the staff is friendly, but for the most part everyone is on island time. I was at a dinner with my family at the Italian Restaurant and the meal took over 3.5 hours! Further, the food wasn't up to the quality I'd come to expect at the other resorts - it's quite poor. Two people in our group also were sick for several days from food poisoning. These people commonly travel to Mexico and use ordinary precautions to avoid travelers illnesses.

There are some good qualities of the resort. Notably the pool - it's incredible and easily the best part of the resort. There is ample room near the winding pool and I imagine even with a full house finding seatings wouldn't be a problem. That said, the beach is extremely rocky. The nighttime entertainment is also very, very good. Some of the shows are quite impressive (Circus) and shockingly good for an all inclusive resort. That said, the resort is far away from everything else.

The tipping point for me was a man who identified himself as Chief Concierge Jean Carlos Arredondo F. I saw this man use physical force with at least one guest who was simply contesting a charge for an excursion that never occurred. Jean Carlos physically grabbed the man, attempted to take his phone, and literally forced him to sign a credit card slip. The man was told he would be kept against his will at the resort until he paid - they even refused the man's demands to reach the US embassy. It surprised me that a hotel could hold a guest against their will and refuse them access to the US government services.

Based on what I witnessed, the problems with services and food, I'd say avoid.

Really nice Resort. Extremely friendly staff, excellent service. Clean. Good food. The only negative side was all of the locals walking on the beach trying to sell you things, services etc. Even on the resort, they all want to sell you more stuff, excursion, activities off the resort. They are very pushy. Other then that, it was excellent.

The only thing that made my trip enjoyable was when I was served by DEBORAH and AMBIORIX.... most of the other servers seem so grumpy and didn't want to bother to serve the people. The resort was smelly and the beach was dirty.. it smell really bad. The meat also taste like rotten seaweed.

We were allowed to spend 14 days in Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana. We are thrilled by the hotel, the staff and the hotel area. The food was delicious (french restaurant not tested). The drinks ... well ... nobody gets to the German beer ... fun aside! There was a large selection of drinks. Whether we were on the beach or at the (Preferred Club) pool, the cellars brought the ordered drinks in a timely manner. Since you gave like 2-3 dollars at Tip!
Everyone was always in a good mood and even sang one or the other song at work. The female hotel employees, however, were in a bad mood most of the time and looked accordingly.

There is entertainment every day. The entertainment team is really eager to make every evening memorable. Whether magic or acrobatics show, DJ, beach party ...

There is no lack of sports entertainment. Starting with water aerobics, beach volleyball, water spinning, beach soccer, basketball, to the ping-pong tournament. There is something for everyone.

Unfortunately I have to deduct a star for room hygiene. On our sheets were foreign hair and various stains. This is unhygienic and does not have to be. Well ... different culture. After the staff had pointed out, you got (in the second or third attempt) clean sheets.

All in all, I would always return to this hotel.

This Dreams resort is not my favorite. It was not as clean and the service was not as good as Dreams Cap Cana. While there are children's areas and it's supposed to be family friendly, we saw some adult behavior and topless bathing in the family areas of the resort. There was a frequent smell of cigarettes, and the good was just not very good. It does have a nice beach with soft, white sand and it is cheaper than the others, but I recommend Dreams Cap Cana or Nickelodeon over this resort.

Had preferred, not worth the money. View was poor to say the least, of the spa. 200 dollars worth of coupons were only for specific things that had a certain amount off. Used none of them. Preferred pool/hot tub was full of children that were not supeevised. No hot tub in adult only pool. If wanted speciality drink had to go to preferred area. I hung out at regular pool, drank regular drinks and had a wonderful time. Food was amazing, most staff was friendly. Couldn't hang at beach, someone always teytry to sell something. Weather was awesome. Building 1 staff was friendly.

Our family of 10 vacationed here for Christmas wee...

Our family of 10 vacationed here for Christmas week. I upgraded 3 of our 4 rooms to preferred status after the resort offered a suite as one of the rooms ($1155 for the 3 upgrades). The suite is large. Ours (3105) was on the first floor facing the adult pool. Its a great spot - very quiet compared to a lot of the other rooms. Being on the first floor we could just walk out to the pool or the bar and lounge. Two bathrooms, one with a shower and jacuzzi, were both large. Water pressure was on the low side and the shower temperature varied with other peoples usage, but was warm to hot. Biggest criticism of our room was that it is very dark. Some of the renovated rooms are much brighter. Housekeeping is excellent including turn-down service at night.

The food was good, but not great. We really enjoyed the buffet, especially for breakfast and for dinner on Dominican night. (Dominican food is very good.) Fresh omelets, crepes, smoothies are highlights for breakfast. Lunch has good burgers and the pizza is surprisingly good with many choices. Dinner was slightly different every night. We had breakfast a couple of mornings at the preferred club's restaurant on the beach. The chicken crepe was good, but overall we liked the buffet better for breakfast.

We tried 3 of the restaurants for dinner. The Hibachi show at the asian restaurant was the best I've seen. They are usually all the same, but our chef was a little different and did a great job. The food was very good and plentiful. Another night we ate on the non-hibachi side (see photo) and were very disappointed. I would skip it. The Mexican restaurant was very good. We should have gone back there instead of the Asian restaurant. The dinner at the Italian restaurant was so-so. The food is one of the things dragging my rating down to a 4.

The burger bar at the beach was excellent. There are bars for drinks everywhere and the drinks are well made by friendly waiters. They don't have truly high end alcohol. No bourbon - Jack Daniels is available. Tanquaray is the best gin.

We were there for Christmas and Santa came on a motorcycle with his "gang". One complaint was that the resort tries hard to get you to go to Christmas dinner at a specialty restaurant with a reservation - and then they tell you that you MUST buy $15 worth of bottled wine for each person in the reservation. Turned out that the included dinner in the buffet was probably better than their special meals. The buffet had everything including some very good sashimi.

The beach is great. Not much seaweed and they rake it away all day long. Amazingly, the sand never was too hot. Lots of chairs at both the pools and the beach our week. We loved both the beach and the pools. The adult pool is great for swimming short laps.

My only real complaint was the 9:30 pm shows which is on the late side if you eat an early dinner. I couldn't stay for either of shows I tried to attend as they were way to LOUD. My apple watch said they were 90-100 decibels - a level that is painful and can damage your hearing. We told a couple of employees who said no one had ever complained before. I wasn't the only one who left the shows early.

Booking this trip through their website was a nightmare. Extremely SKETCHY. Dangerous. Would recommend a travel agent do it did you. Not only did it charge my card multiple times, it did not give 1/2 our party the travel insurance we requested. When contacting the agency about the multiple charges and the lack of insurance (immediately after booking) and they said there s nothing they can do. Their recommendation was for us to cancel and rebook but then we d have to pay whatever increase they want us to pay. Horrible, HORRIBLE customer service.

I am a very well traveled American that typically does not prefer the all inclusive experience, however, I joined some friends that had already organized this trip to Dreams Palm Beach. My wife and I had a great time. The food was pretty good overall, with some food better than others. Our group did not agree on which foods were preferred, so this is likely a personal preference/ pickiness. There are plenty of food options though. I would think that most people could find themselves content, although some reviews suggest otherwise. The drinks flow as heavily as you desire and the bartenders are willing to make your drinks as strong as you prefer. There was never any chance that the resort was going to ride out of liquor (as suggested in other reviews). Just bring plenty of small bills for tipping the staff (bartenders, bell boys, entertainment staff, and maids).

The staff work very hard to make your experience top notch and they rely on tips for their livelihood. They also work long hours, live far away, and believe as if they are having an amazing time while trying to keep you smiling (and smiling themselves the entire time). You will likely develop a short friendship with several staff members and it will enrich your experience. Clemente, Elvis, & Willy (at the main lobby bar) were awesome and lively. Angelo (at the preferred club poolside bar) was great and very friendly. Ergie, Benjamin, and Edna (entertainment staff) were fun, inviting, incredibly energetic, and an overall good time. Adonis & Laura were great during check in and Wilner stood out along the Bell boy staff.

While at the resort, there was no mention of any timeshare presentations (as mentioned by many reviewers), but I am not sure if this was because we booked a preferred room package or that we booked through Travelocity (or something else).

We got a Jacuzzi tub room, but chose not to use it. I wouldn't book it again, as there was a slow drain, which didn't feel super clean. I am not sure if we needed to book the preferred club. The restaurant/pools are nice, but I am not positive that we really took advantage of it.

I did enjoy borrowing the Hobie Cat sailboat at no charge, although wish that I would have known about the necessary classes for the various beach side activities at the beginning of our stay. We had a great time and am sure that almost everybody would if they have a similar experience to ours.

For a small and free cultural experience, you can walk south east along the beach and out of the resort. You will pass by 2 or 3 other resorts and will find a small street at the end of the beach with some local shops. From there, you can continue walking down the street and make your way out to the main thoroughfare that the hotel shuttles and taxis use. As you get to the main street there are at least 25 local street vendors that will sell you tourist fare and sunscreen at reasonable prices. Oddly, the shops are not very visible from the shuttle vans and are not mentioned at the resort. I recommend the experience for anybody wanting at least a slight amount of culture out of the resort. Not everybody in our group (most of which have never left the U.S. before and didn't speak any Spanish) felt totally comfortable walking down those side streets, but it really felt very safe to me. There was a local barbershop, fish monger, church, and other shops. I thought that it was great and I think that everybody in our group was thankful for the experience after they returned to the hotel. This area is about 1/4-1/2 mile from the hotel.

Fantastic resort with super-friendly and helpful staff. Miles of beautiful beach to traverse, a great pool with a bar and the complex is extremely clean and well maintained. The only (slight) negatives are the slow wifi and poor selection of TV channels.

Worst resort experience ever. Check-in took 2 hours for our group. Food was so gross. Same food every day at the only buffet (morning & lunch). Eating McDonald's for the whole week would be better. For dinner there're 5 restaurants open from 6pm. No reservation possible, first in first served, and seats are so limited. There's no way they can serve all the customers staying at the resort. We end up eating at the buffet 3 out of 7 nights. Beach is dirty. Rooms are dirty and old although we had the "preferred club" upgrade. One of our friends' room didn't have electricity for 2 days and they did nothing about it. Pools are dirty. Almost no activity during the day. 1 beach party during our 7 days, started at 9pm and ends around 11pm... will never recommend to anyone!

The food at the a La cartes was good, however I found the buffet underwhelming. There was a beach restaurant that served burgers, hot dogs, nachos and fries everyday. Twice during the week they had a grill out with Mahi Mahi and paella. Problem for us was the alcohol. Most of what they serviced was very low end stuff. We paid the privileged which said we had premium alcohol. 9 times out of 10 they were "out for the day" bartenders (especially at the pool) didn't always care what you ordered and sometimes would just serve you anything. Also there are no wristbands so basically anybody could drink anything, they didn't care if you were privileged or not. Room was fine, ac kept the room at a steady 20 degrees, the refrigerator didn't keep anything cold, but we didn't use it anyway. We did hear people complain of issues with theirs including non working a/c, water leaks, etc. Grounds were well kept, beach and pools were beautiful. Main staff were friendly and attentive. This resort has no reservations for the a la cartes, which was nice. We didn't end up waiting for any longer than 20 minutes and their gave you a pager so you could wander while you waited. Service in the buffet could be better, sometimes you had to search for someone for utensils or more water which was something we were unaccustomed to from staying at other resorts. Emilio at the privileged bar was very attentive and always tried his best. Darling and Caesar of the animation staff were awesome. Irwin from the lobby bar was great too.

Amazing vacation with a large group. this place is wonderful for weddings! Truly a dream wedding. Food is some of the widest variety and most delicious I have had at an all-inclusive. Restaurants are all great and do not require reservations. Beach is beautiful, but a bit more seaweed than at other island/beach destinations.

The place itself is not bad, I had some problems since the payment was charged double, it was charged to my card and to the production company with which I was going, the reception manager Lenins Zapata specifically told me that they would refund me and never The refund arrived, they have tried to contact the person mentioned and you never answer the calls and well it is a painful issue but be careful with your cards since the charges make it double without ever receiving an apology or showing your face.

: The beach with a lot of sargassum (I know it's not the hotel's fault) but it's still important to know.
The room service very well.

Amazing staff. they treat you better than family. The hotel is nice and clean. Very up to date. We loved the bathroom we had. HUGE shower stalls. The staff were very swift in responding to any concerns. The lines of communication were open and great. Everyone said hello everytime you passed them.

The beach was not good at all. The water never passed our ankle as it had an usual brown colour. Early morning wake up had a sewage acent arou d the grounds of the hotel. It disappeared as the day progressed.

The food was decent. Same options everyday. It was kept simple. no real complaints there. the kitchen staff...AMAZING.

the a la carte restaurants were good. Felt classy. Again.. amazing staff.

The bar staff kept the drinks coming. They never treated you like they expected a tip. Which was a good feeling.

The disco was ok.. they tried to play music for everyone in attendance.

The poolside chairs were first come first served. Folks would leave their towels on the chairs ALL day and not use the chairs. So people who actually needed the chairs were out of luck. I felt that was the biggest turn off as there were more towels sitting on chairs throughout the day and No one using them.

Overall it was relaxing and peaceful.

I went to this place for a wedding. I was a bit nervous reading some of the reviews but this had to be one of the best trips I've taken in a long time. The staff were very quick with my check in and bringing up my luggage. Everyone was so pleasant and my room was cleaned everyday. The food was delicious and fresh. Everything was simply amazing. The beach was cleaned every morning. The wedding was so breathtaking and everything was simply beautiful. I also went to Saona Island and it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this resort.

A staff member named Raul Ozman prevented us from making it to the airport on time, cursed at us and threatened to get us stuck on the island when I addressed the situation. The rooms were not adequate with what was presented online. The service was ok up until the last day when Raul started threatening us and treated us awfully on the way out. My first review was removed (likely not the first bad review to get deleted) so I will not go into detail again and waste anymore time on this place but me, my girlfriend and the 12 others who came on the trip with us will not be booking again next year. Raul s lack of service and manners was a huge determining factor.

We were at the resort 4 nights for a wedding. The staff lacked hospitatility and was often short with us and other guests in our group. This includes the waiters, hostesses, and bartenders. I ve been to all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica and Cancun and had a completely different experience. Not sure if they just aren t getting paid enough or don t want to be there, but you get the vibe they are waiting on you out of obligation. The food wasn t the best either. At the Italian restaurant I ordered a dish with salmon..instead of a filet it had salmon chunks, like cut up cubes of salmon. The portion sizes are also extremely small. Also one of the associates kept trying to push us to attend a presentation so they get some type of incentive. No means no- stop hounding us every time you see me walk through the lobby. Again, to reiterate I think the staff needs hospitality training, that no matter what someone s race is, how much money it looks like they have...they should be treated with the same decency as everyone else. They paid to be here as well! I will never be going back.
