Dreams palm beach gave our family a great eperience to remeber. The staff is always friendly and smiling. They want you to enjoy your vacation. We also had a wedding there and it went wonderful. No complaints from us!

We are a group of 68 people who have chosen this hotel for the holidays. (Nearly CAN $ 115,000, We pay) One word to describe the experience "TERRIBLE" Starting with check-in, it took hours and hours to get our rooms, with their 25 years of existence, they will have to be more organized to accommodate a large group. Then the rooms have a lot of problems (air conditioning does not work for several rooms, the beds have a big hole in the middle, it smells bad around the rooms, a family member got stung by the bugs in bed, rooms are old, they should have their rooms renovated after 25 years of operation). The food in the buffet does not have many varieties compared to other places rated 4 star and more. They just have squid, mussels and fish as seafood, to have an egg for your breakfast in the morning, get ready to wait 20 min queue line . The manager of the place said, its normal because it is high season, so be prepared to wait and waste your time in queue line for an egg! They do not have many employees on the floor. By the way it looks like the employees are not happy to work at this hotel, no one smiles! Aside from the maid and staff at the Japanese restaurant we give each $ 10 each ! before we start our supper as we want good service (so do not forget to give tips before and then you will get good service!) Guaranteed! !!). The food at the Japanese restaurant is too salty, a friend had a gorged beer and it smelled like sewage, the result the next day he had diarrhea (no less than 12 people from the group of 68 had the diarrhea so 17% that you are going to have diarrhea during your stay, bring medication otherwise it will cost you expensive to the hotel) the steak at the sea side is acceptable and the pasta at the italian restaurant is good. Wow thank you very much chef for the whole week! The beach is dirty a lot of seaweed, one of the managers told us it is the season, so you can not do anything against Mother Nature so choose your season to spend time at the Dream palm, I guess summer is not the ideal time! Entiendes? As we have had a lot of problems and we are going to see someone to help us solve, we are strolling around and wasting our time, the Sunwing guy puts the fault to the hotel, the manager of the hotel put the fault to someone else, after 2 hours of waiting for him to report the facts to the boss to fix a few things, the manager tells us that he can do anything for us apart from changing rooms for those who had problems, for the rest "TOO BAD!" We had $ 200 coupons but this is not accepted anywhere in the hotel, we want to pay a bottle of wine and 3 people at Sea Side restaurant came to check the coupon and no one can confirm anything. ( no communication between the staff ) I was in Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic in the past, I never complained anything but at the Dream is not worth the money you spend , so before you book your tickets, do some research, a lot of people rate 1 star for a reason .

Great place shame about sea weed blown up on the beach

I paid for preferred club oceanview but received horrible housekeeping service and the room was dated with multiple problems. Air conditioner would not get cool much less cold lots of condensation water dripping from the vent which kept the bed sheets and my clothes damp and clammy. The mattress very uncomfortable and worn. The stick to draw the curtains broke had to grab the actual curtain to close the drapes when I called the front desk the buttons on the phone would not connect I had to use a hanger to mash on the buttons to call for assistance and when they answered I could hardly hear them due to all the static in the phone. I left my clothes in my suitcase for a week because the dresser drawers are old dry rotted wood. there was a bug crawling on the canopy over my bed I was inconvenienced and had to leave my room for 3hours for extermination had to call housekeeping 2am in the morning for a toilet back up. Bed wasn't turned down or made daily trash left in room overnight had to call for bath towels and wash rags. dirty wet towels left in the floor Wasn't told until a day after arrival you cant drink the tap water after I brushed my teeth with non portable water the day before. The grounds are beautiful entertainment was fun some of the food was ok and the bell hop and hospitality was phenomenal. Other reviews complained about the rooms as well. I spent 1300.00 for a room that wasn't worth 1dollar. This resort is in dying need of room upgrades and renovations. If they invest in remodeling the rooms, ensure housekeeping does their job daily and correct the water filtration system this will be an awesome place to vacation.

Excellent place to rest and have a good time. I would definitely go back for two nights. I went with my wife and was surprised at the level of service. Two years later, I return and I find the same service, a service that surrounds you in a world of comfort and height. Thank you Dreams Palm Beach.

Been to this particular all-inclusive resort for times now. The level of service is impeccable from check-in top check-out. Beautiful beach with designated swimming area and four different pools with one being designated as adults only and the other for preferred club level guests. The service staff was very polite and attentive. Will definitely return!

Stunning location and facilities but service needs improving.

Excellent!! The food is delicious with a great variety. They treat you like a king, the whole relaxed atmosphere. Everything included, the fridge filled without extra charge for consumption. Super comfortable pools, everything is close, many varieties of restaurants, clean sheets and towels, or smells of moisture, everything was fresh. Incense in the rooms if you want a soft smell. The excellent spa, for me one of the best hotels I've been to. I would not change it for anything!!

Food, hospitality, entertainment, everything excellent! The best hotel I have visited in the area. WiFi in the room at the pool and on the beach, and above all very beautiful! I already want to return 10/10.

Me and my wife stayed at this resort last week for our honeymoon. We had a very relaxing time during our stay here. The food was very good with lots to choose from. We pretty much went to the World Cafe, which is the buffet, for most meals. But you can also enjoy meals at five of their a la carts too. They have Italian and French which are elegant, Mexican, Japanese, and a seaside grill. The seaside grill is casual for dinner, but you need to be in the preferred club to have breakfast or lunch. They also have a burger and hotdog grill on the beach which was awesome and a coffee house by the buffet. The beach was very lovely, nice white sand and the water was clear. They clean the beach and pool area everyday, and there is lots of space to move around. If you can't find any chairs to sit around the pool, just ask one of the staff members and they'll bring one over to you. There's lots of fun active activities the resort offers, and lots of excursions too if you like doing those. They do have shows too at night at around 9pm. As you probably have read in other comments about this resort, a lot of people weren't fans of the rooms. It is an older resort, and yes, I do think the rooms need an update sometime in the future. I was always woken up at 6am by hearing other guests leaving their rooms. The walls are hollow, so it always sounds like the doors slam shut. The rooms are cleaned everyday, but they're just older. Also, just so you're aware, they do let the local merchants on the resort Friday evenings. You need to walk by the them to get to the restaurants, and they can come off as kind of pushy. If you're looking for a nice week at a four star resort, this one would be perfect. I would definitely consider coming back, or visiting one of the many other Dreams resorts. The rooms at this one just need just need an update.

While they could update their rooms a little, they make up in hospitality and activities. I really felt welcolmed by all of the staff. The waiters/waitresses, bartenders, activities staff, and concierge. We had a couple of problems like the safe didn't work at first but as soon as we called, within 10 minutes they sent someone to fix the problem. We did have to call a couple of times about the mini-fridge not working but when they did send someone on the second day he came with a brand new fridge. Again, I can't say enough about the service here. They take pride in their jobs and in the resort itself. The pools are so clean, everywhere you go is so clean, even the bathrooms in all the different areas. They have such a variety of restaurants to choose from, too. If you want a mix of different cuisines and don't really want to wear long pants or shirt with sleeves(dress code for men for dinner) then you can go to the World Cafe. For breakfast and/or lunch the Seaside Grill is a great choice. I have Celiac disease and I found that there was always something on the menu for me or that could be modified for me.
Overall, I loved this resort and would recommend to someone who is not too picky about rooms being perfect. My room was beautiful (we stayed in a preferred club jacuzzi room), but there were some cracks in the tiles in the bathtub, which I didn't mind. The jacuzzi worked beautifully and the room was cleaned every day. The room smelled of baby powder to me (how do they do that?) and, they would leave treats like Milky Ways and Lays potato chips with a bottle of rum! We had such a wonderful time. Please remember to tip your waiters, bartenders, drivers, and anyone who goes out of their way to help you. They work so hard and they are at the resort everyday with a smile and such a great attitude to help you. Just a couple of dollars is enough and won't break the bank for you. They do have ATMs on the premises if you need more cash but you could also use your card at some of the shops. Paying extra for the preferred club is worth it, definitely. You have a pool area that is adults only and available only to preferred club members, there's also an area of the beach that is available only to preferred club members and there are bars with premium alcoholic beverages for you as well. I highly recommend and I will be returning to this resort.

I wouldn't recommend this place. The rooms were dated, the staff was not responsive and the beach had tons of sellers that wouldn't leave you alone. There are better resorts in the Dominican! Spend your money somewhere else.

Have enjoyed my stay here, occasional wiff of sewer, not really impressed with room service, but waiters are fabulous, very good and friendly. Pools are very good, again with great pool bar service. Food is good but to be fair we only went in "world Cafe", so can't comment on other restaurants. Would I recommend? I'd say yes if you have the money to do excursions to keep yourself busy and you've not been to the Carribean . Ps the night time entertainment, I thought was pants, after 1 week, you know what's coming next week but I'm comparing to UK resorts.

Great resort ! Everything's included and the kids club is brilliant thanks to abby and the crew.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights and it was fantastic.
We upgraded our room to Preferred Member and I highly recommend doing that. It gave us access to exclusive lounges, pools and beach.
Overall, the food was good, room was clean, wifi was included, and the service was amazing.
We re hoping to come back again!

Lovely hotel complex, very attentive staff and excellent food. Hotel was full but we never queued once for food. Main buffet restaurant serving wide range of delicious foods and 4 a la carte restaurants...where it's not necessary to book! Wide range of well known brand alcoholic drinks and cocktails flowing freely! Will defo return

Stayed for 8 days Sunday-Sunday And it was AMAZING!!! 1000/1000!!!. Very nice and kind staff great vibes and good energy I was surrounded by. Food was good and the service there was awesome. Best resort so far in Punta Cana. The Beaches are so beautiful and the excursion tours were great!!!!. Definitely coming back for sure.

This place was beautiful! The food, rooms, drinks, service and overall atmosphere was one of the best all inclusive vacations we have ever been on! We made friends with many staff memebers and a big thank you to all the servers at the bar in the lounge as they were VERY attentive to our needs. Maria from the lobby bar and Louis from the seaside grill and a few other servers who really paid extra attention to our requests the entire trip. Thank you again. Yes, the power went out every day we were there and for an hr the first night upon arrival. The staff was very nonchalant about the power going out and did not offer anytype of incentive to make up for it. We literally had to go and ask. The staff were very overwhelming with trying to sale excursions and deals that it made it difficult to relax on the resort. The pool show that we attended was very unorganized and all over the place, looked like they just threw it together (waste of our time). The drinks were really sweet with very little alcohol and a lot of ice. The food was horrible outside of the salmon and mash potatoes (at the Seaside Grill) and it sucked that most of the restaurants (example Beachside Bar & Grill) closed at 5 pm. The resort lacked night life. I felt like this resort was not worth the ALL INCLUSIVE price. I definitely feel like I did not get my moneys worth and I would never choose DREAMS again.

Very bad hotel, the rooms are very old. There is simply no food all 10 days is the same, and the choice is very small. In this hotel you should always pay extra for a suite room, which is a regular room. The service is very bad, they promised imported drinks but it turned out that only imported bottles , they were poured in homemade alcohol. The Internet almost never works. And the most important beach , there is not possible near the parked yachts and boats and it stinks of gasoline. The pool is very dirty although heated. There are no evening shows, sometimes they made discos. To take places on the beach or pool you need to wake up early.

This place is no dream, more like a nightmare, the beach is totally covered in some horrible brown seaweed, the beach, rooms and hotel smells like rotten eggs, absolutely no activity for those who pay extra as preferred customers, the musics by the pools are spa music, sounds more like a memorial then vacation, got bit by something so bad un bed at night, they had to change my room, at about 1a.m. on my 2nd day,...should I tell u guys how I really feel ? Haven't found 1 happy guest so far.

Definitely won't stay here again. The beach is disgusting and covered in seaweed-you can't even really walk on the beach unless you go up by the hotel. Service was not good (it's worse if you pay more for preferred), most employees were rude. The food was meh. The included activities aren't actually included unless your idea of snorkeling is looking at seaweed. The room which was supposedly upgraded was a disappointment. The Bathroom was dirty, the fan didn't work, and the fridge was broken.

Mild, bad food, bad customer service, bad attention

Flew back yesterday from a very good 2 week holiday, hot and sunny nearly all of the time. Food in the hotel was excellent (except for the French and Mexican restaurants, you need to sort out your menus there guys. The Italian was ok but the Japanese was brilliant, especially the food preparation - a must do experience ). The trips are very expensive no matter who you book them with, although having said that they were both very enjoyable. Coffee shop - brilliant. The rooms are ok just very tired, 3 requests were placed to fix the bathroom door which would have taken 2 minutes to put right but never happened. The staff on the whole were all very happy and friendly, only met one grumpy lady who cleaned our room, I asked for the mini-fridge to be restocked and she ripped my head off in Spanish. The entertainments team were brilliant, they worked so hard all day playing games and talking to everybody, this continued into the evening with dance lessons and shows. The Rock show was excellent as were the other music shows. Thanks very much to you all - excellenta.

Loved every minute! Great staff! Great rooms! Everything was perfect!

All staff wore masks, and they sanitized your luggage on arrival which I liked. The resort required guests to use hand sanitizer upon entry to any store or restaurant, however they didn't require the guests to wear masks which was the only downfall in regards to Covid safety. I did the Preferred Club and to be honest it was not worth the extra money. The rooms were not as nice and updated as the pictures, but it did the job. The food and shows and the all-inclusive aspect were awesome.

A good spot to go on vacation when your budget is low. I went for a wedding celebration and was a bit underwhelmed by the water sports and room options. The staff's friendliness and cheerfulness was what made the trip memorable for me. Thanks guys!

The room was big but old ,No Hot water ,and the view was horrible. Isn t top roof with cable and AC ,that wasn t the garden view they promise in the reservation. The beach was full of sewee.and rough.

Very uncomfortable at lunchtime, you have to go around asking the staff, and it is overwhelmed by people asking.

An average hotel with a friendly atmosphere. The people are its greatest asset I would say. The hotel does have character but is showing its age and in need of some investment. A few suggestions, not everyone speaks English, I wish they would mark all vegetarian food properly as it's still not common here!! They did try their best to accommodate us as best they could, which was nice. Clean the kids pool as regularly as they do the main pool. Make the reception/phone staff as friendly and competent as the rest of them. Wifi not consistent everywhere especially bad in reception (no AC) where waiting for a flight after checkout is painful. I would say a solid 7/10, would I come here again? Maybe after a renovation.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the views were astonishing, the beach was absolutely gorgeous, the different shops and restaurants included made it a very neat experience, and the activities and parties were undeniably entertaining! A must go if you ever have the chance!

This is our second time here , the staff is great . And the resort is beautiful

Very nice resort, so far I do not give much score, when I went they did not show, the place is rather to go to sleep and eat, the pool was good and the beach but in attention I did not like the place seemed like for people over 50 years old, now you are looking for tranquility this is the perfect place, the food not very say but passable, the service to the lousy room lasted more than half an hour in taking me an order for a hamburger, in order I did not like the service they offered me

A decent hotel. It does require some renovating. The toilet broke a few times. The sink clogged once. Rooms are a bit smaller than some other hotels. The restaurants were all good. We tried each and one of them. Our favourite was the Mexican. Their menu was not only extensive but the service was personable. I don t see the point in getting the preferred upgrade as the rooms are the same except for the washrooms in some are equipped with jacuzzi. We couldn t use one of the pools because it was 18 plus. The buffet was my least favourite as there was not much variety there.

Beautiful beach, nice entertainment team especially Ergie and Johnny B Good. However Joel from entertainment is not very pleasant, he is talks to you with a superior voice and wants to show everybody that he is the boss.....he practically forced people in doing activities they did not want to. Anyway the stay was good.
