Best hotel ever. Very dedicated and polite staff and the rooms were on point! It was indeed a pleasurable experience.

We recently stayed here for our honeymoon and cannot stop talking about how amazing everything was! Our view was incredible, food was delicious at every place, the staff was fantastic, entertainment was great and the drinks were plentiful! We were also impressed with their extra safety precautions put in place with Covid and availability of hand sanitizer everywhere! We would highly recommend this all-inclusive!

Very nice resort. I only gave it 4 stars because I was traveling with friends and they had a problem with their air conditioning, however they were eventually moved. And my group of 14 (7) rooms that were suppose to be in king rooms were put in doubles; with no kings available for us. Although that could have been the fault of the travel agent and not the hotel. I would recommend this resort.

Procrastinating service. Called housekeep for towels and a steamer on Thursday morning and received the items on Saturday afternoon. A guy at the coffee bar was rude to everyone everyday I was there. I was there from Wednesday - Sunday, beginning of November 2017. Overall, this resort is nice.

This is not only our first visit to Jamaica, but also our first visit to an all-inclusive resort. What a great concept! This place is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The accommodations are really nice. It's like a day-camp for adults, but with alcohol and pools and the beach. Oh, and did I mention the alcohol? The found is pretty good. But, the Jerk Chicken is wonderful! Two thumbs way up!

Fantastic place to go on vacation with a significant other. My Dad had a company vacation here, and although it's a little odd being here with a parent, especially when there's no privacy in the bathroom except for lightly frosted glass doors on the shower and toilet. But it's gorgeous here, the staff is wonderful, super helpful and friendly. Everything here is great, would recommend to anyone

Mediocre at best. Not worth the money. Zero entertainment. No open buffet for dinner. LONG lines and wait for food and restaurants ,takes 2+ hour to have dinner, not including the waiting to be seated, never experienced such thing before. Staff with long faces and careless attitude. Will not come back.

Went for vacation, hardly anything was open. One French resturant, 1 store. Could not go on excursions, no housekeeping all week. There was very limited entertainment. Room service took over an hour. We were not very happy.

The service was exceptional, the property was amazing. It was my mini vacation place of choice, going for the first time and am sure I'll be going back. I recommend here to anyone. Awesomeness overload.

This place was so wonderful, it set a new standard. The environment and food were amazing.

Absolutely one of my favorite places!! The room view was outstanding and the resort grounds were fantastic. Only complaint was that the time went by too fast. The timeshare pitch was ok but overall it was an incredible experience.

Nice on the surface but poor quality when you look deeper. Beautiful bathroom but the Jacuzzi smelled like sewage when the jets were turned on and the sink sprayed water all over the counter. Nice sliding glass doors that led to the balcony but they didn't seal properly allowing hot humid air to pour into the room. We had to change rooms because the humidity was so bad in our first room. The beach and pools are nice. The drinks and food are average. The workers were either very polite or very rude. The resort did not meet expectations

Lovely property, good food, service is good. People are friendly. Property is nicely landscaped and easily walkable. Perfect for handicapped individuals. Very flat for wheelchairs. Great piano bar sns live entertainment.

Best place! Could use a few updates. The do not disturb light did not seem to matter as they would knock even with the light on but other than that the staff was great. The food was good for resort food and the drinks were strong...pools were very clean and all the staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Would recommend and would definitely return!

This is categorically the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at. This was supposed to be a holiday of a lifetime and it has been hell from start to finish. All inclusive means nothing! The mini bar was empty when I got here and not stocked during my stay. The advertised Shuttle Service is non-existent and the taxi company they use charges on average $10 per mile so they clearly encourage and partake in the ripping off of their guests by allowing this taxi company to operate on the premises. The first night of my stay, I was so ill after eating in the poolside restaurant, I threw up all night. The following night, I tried every single restaurant on site and each of them had over an hours wait. They all had plenty of empty tables with maximum 10-20 guests in each restaurant so I don t know what the issue was. The Portofino restaurant was closed at 9pm despite being advertised as open until 10pm. I inevitably had to order room service. So to sum up, I paid premium price for an all inclusive 5 star hotel and all I got for my money was 2 cans of coke, a couple of watered down cocktails, bolognese pasta from room service menu and Delhi belly! Compared to other 4 star hotels I have stayed in, this didn t even make that cut. The place is worn out, a massive rip off and the rooms are dark and depressing. And they had the cheek to try and upsell me on a credit card sponsored members club. Never ever again. The only decent person there was Shanice who tried to sort things out but the front of house manager was submissive to say the least and clearly had no real authority to do anything. Don t waste your time or hard earned money. This has been a 2 star hotel with a 5 star price.

We had a great time, my husband and I. Stayed 4 nights then continued our 5 week honeymoon from there. Enjoyed dancing, eating, relaxing, the gym, drinking of course and the drinks work staff were great. It's not the real Jamaica though a very nice resort. Nice to eat dinner then go dance and have fun and order a cheese sandwich in your room at 2am! We stayed at all sorts of places including hostel following this. Appreciated the all inclusive convenience

Lets be very CLEAR!! i was just here for my cake day (12/09) and it was soooo amazing; the food, service, beaches, activities AND THE SPAAAAAA i cant wait to go back ahhhh i had a blast

Beautiful property. Was there through a Carnival Excursion. I was able to parasail while there. The captain Sean was amazing! I was scared to do it but he reassured me that he would take care of me. Best experience ever! #bucketlist The jerk chicken was delicious. I also enjoyed a few Bob Marley drinks by the pool. Adults only resort. Would love to have enjoyed more time.

The mountain to bay to ocean views are stunning. Amazing resort

Fun place, with great staff and great food. Cons - Piano bar smelled like puke everyday, and no shots. Pros - Hibachi grill was the best restaurant, but all had great food. Segway tour was fun, with a stop for a beer and a little shopping. Margaritaville is fun and they will come and get you for free. Snorkeling was ok from the resort. Not many fish when we went.

It's nice but due to covid it could be better There wasn't a lot of guests The grounds are beautiful I stayed at the preferred suites they were beautiful nice and quiet not the ideal place to stay if you are a party goer The activities were limited there was probably one area where they did shows They had a dance club/theatre but it wasn't that festive or lively due to covid once again. It's not a lot of activities to do so if it sounds like you'll have something to do all day that's not true. You get to visit the sister resorts such as Saint James and the other connecting hotels it's a little walk they did not provide rides via golf cart All the restaurants you had to be served due to covid. The sister resorts are out dated. The wait for some restaurants were long.

Desire club music is so loud your ears bleed! You can't even order a drink forum the bar. We love music & clubs, but they're trying to keep people out or something. PLEASE turn it down so it's tolerable!

Just returned from spending our 25th Wedding Anniversary here. We were VERY disappointed. The Coco Bar, which is supposed to have food 24 hours a day, was never really stocked well, unless you like cheese sandwiches (which obviously many people don't, since that's the only food they had on many occasions). Once I asked for a yogurt and banana and was told the fruit was just for show! The pictures on the website are deceiving. Also, this place was not well managed. If you're looking for entertainment, look elsewhere as they are lacking in that department. I've been to other all-inclusives and the entertainment was fantastic! The French and Jamaican restaurants were great; the other 7 were just okay. Housekeeping was not good either. Sometimes we didn't get hand towels, once they didn't clean the shower (the washcloth was still there), and they replaced a roll of toilet paper with one wet on both sides. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.

This resort was amazing! They had everything and more than we could imagine. There was always something going on and fun to do. Lots of things to do off the resort and Taneesha helped us get everything lined up perfectly. She was definitely our favorite staff! She made everything a breeze. The entire staff was incredible and very outgoing. We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon!

My new wife and I went here for our honeymoon and it was fantastic!! We loved everything about Secrets. We had a butler in training named Andre and he went above and beyond and was amazing! I would like to also say Marshelle our spa lady was such a delight and Devon our waiter for our romantic private beach dinner was absolutely stellar! My wife and I cannot recommend Secrets enough!! Everything about it blew our expectations out of the water!

Been here for 24 hours. Best resort I've ever been to. Perfect. Great food and unlimited drinks. On my honeymoon what more can I ask for....

St James and the Wild Orchid are the two hotels on the complex. They are right next-door to each other each one with its own pool and beach area in the backyard, which connects.The resort was beautiful and it was my first experience at an all inclusive resort. It was delightful to get food and drink, as much as I wanted, all day long. One of the deficits is the restaurants are closed by approximately 11 o clock at night.
The rooms are lovely and have balconies and give a view of the ocean and pool for most rooms. One of the negatives though for me, is the openness of the room, which has no door to divide the bathroom from the bedroom. That may not be all suites but that was the case in mine.
There s a small venue which has talent shows that guest can participate in, movies, bands and other shows. There is also small club called Desire, which is plays disco music for dancing as well as another location that has a silent disco. The silent disco was really fun. The pool is open 24 hours however lifeguards and towels will disappear in the evening so be sure to save a pool towel for an evening swim or you will have to take your towel from your room. If you are a couple upon check-in you will be offered a small gift of a dinner or spa treatment or some such item. This is an order to seduce you into sitting through a 90 minute sales pitch. During the sales pitch they will attempt to sell you membership so that you may visit their other locations. Though they will deny it is a timeshare, the principle remains the same. The resort is also about an hour away from Ocho Rios and several hours away from Kingston. They do offer excursions though to many of those other places. There is no need to convert your money the resort takes American money, however if you re going on a tour out in town you may want to use the Jamaican money.
All in all it was a delightful stay the weather was beautiful and the staff are very polite and friendly there s no need to buy anything except souvenirs and have money for tips. Have fun!

Let me summarize it for you - Disappointing! Now go on and see why...

The resort seemed to be at about 25% capacity while we were there (October 2020). We stayed at the Master Suite Ocean Front Swimout in the Preferred Club area, however there seemed to be no real distinction between those that were staying in the Preferred Club versus the non-Preferred in terms of who could use certain amenities or access to areas, lounges, beaches, etc.

ARRIVAL - bags are sanitized. The process is quite long and they attempt to upsell you their timeshare whatever. Took almost 2 hours before we could get into our room. Very annoying. Then they called us everyday to have breakfast with them in another attempt to sell their timeshare.

THE ROOM - large and well appointed, just not well taken care of. The interior of the room was quite spacious, with separate living, dining and sleeping areas. Premium location within steps of the beach. Outdoor hot tub and lounges leading into a private(ish) pool and a much larger communal hot tub around the corner. The drapes had large burn marks in them. The floor, which was a vinyl plank, had huge gaps between the boards. The pocket door between the bedroom and bathroom was stuck/off the track, and we had to have maintenance come in and fix it. Neither the glass shower door nor the glass toilet door closed completely. It also looks as though repairs had been made to the walls and it was still raw plaster that was never painted. The refrigerator really did not work and the cabinet door for it did not close. However, there were sliding doors from both the bedroom and living area to a large deck, which was convenient. If you did sit out on your balcony or in the hot tub/pool, the staff continually came around attempting to sell you flowers or something in search of tips.

ROOM SERVICE - there is a tablet in the room for convenient ordering. Place your order on the app and it is delivered to your private butler box. The food is sub-par at best (see pictures) and delivered in a styrofoam box. For example, we ordered the cheese platter and it was literally processed american cheese slices, cut into triangles. The hot wings and bbq wings were exactly the same, and came as four tiny wings. The pizza was a frozen, tasteless cardboard circle. Wine was plentiful, however they did not want to deliver us 8 mini bottles of water, as we drink a lot of it.

RESTAURANTS - most were closed. Of those that were open the food was nothing special.

OVERALL - if you are looking for a party atmosphere where the drinks flow freely and food is not important, this is the place for you. We expected more from the resort and especially from the room, as it was one of the most expensive and luxurious they have. We usually do not leave bad reviews, just honest ones. We will not be back.

AWESOME! My wife and I had a blast here. We stayed four nights and were treated like royalty. Everyone, I mean EVERYONE, went out of their way to make our stay amazing. Our first night there one of the landscapers saw us relaxing in the pool and came over to ask if his mowing would bother us. We told him it wasn't a problem and he still didn't even mow near us. Afterward he brought us two fresh coconuts, carved open the top for us to drink and made one into a vase for which he put fresh flowers in for my wife. We both were pleasantly surprised by the food options also. Lunch buffet was the only weak point, but we easily found ways around that... jerk chicken cart! Snorkeling was amazing and free. Way better than what we did in Hawaii. We swam beside (10 ft away!) a huge sting ray and got to hold a puffer fish and touch jellies. I could have done that over and over. In fact, I think I'd just get my own stuff next time and bring it with me. We also expected thunderstorms all day, everyday, based on the forecast, but it really only sometimes rains at the resort around 2-4ish, if at all. It seems to stay very clear on the coast. The water is beautiful and the resort is plenty big enough to take time to explore. Nighttime entertainment is fun and varies every night. It does seem like everyone here is on a honeymoon or anniversary trip. We can't wait to go back!

Love the resort, the service and food was wonderful, but was disappointed how a situation was handled during the wedding I attended. After reaching out to the staff I was not pleased with the response that I received and they did not make it right. Be careful with wedding planning at this resort.

Absolutely gorgeous resort for couples! Food and service was exceptional. Santhana, our concierge was attentive, reserved private excursions, and even sang happy birthday to me for breakfast! We will definitely return.

Luxuriously beautiful place that pay attention to details. A wide variety of cuisines to excite the pallet. Try the Jamaican restaurant, it's superb.

The place has gone down a bit since the last two times I've visited. Our 1st nite there our toilet didn't work and neither did our safe. Had to call maintenance out for both, and neither worked afterward. So we changed rooms. In the new room we ended up with lizards in the room and despite calling for over an hour, no one was able to get them. We were there for 3 full days and heard no reggae this time either. The staff was still great, but it seems like they need more help to accommodate the increase in guests.

We booked a 7 day stay and are considering leaving. I have been to two other Secrets and they were phenomenal. The property is dated and dirty and I almost wonder if the other properties will become that way as well. I heard nothing but positive things about Secrets Montego Bay and I am highly disappointed. Not sure I will book a Secrets again.

Stayed here for a week , food was delish, staff friendly resort was clean, not much entertainment at night, but you can use secrets st James also which is next to wild orchid.

I never post negative reviews but after my boyfriend s comments were deleted from the Facebook page I had to write something. The resort is beautiful. It s romantic and lovely. There are quiet areas that are awesome for chilling out and there are louder areas if you wish you party. Our cleaning person was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was great. However, when we arrived after traveling, our room was not ready and the staff didn t seem to think that was a big deal. We arrived at the posted check in time but waited almost 2 hours for our room. We upgraded to a different suite the next day and that was a disaster. They took a deposit from us and then waited until the next day, to tell us the room wasn t available but that we could habe a suite on a higher floor. They said they called our room and cell phones but there were no missed calls. The whole reason we upgraded was for the swim out pool. (We booked that room initially only to be told days later that a computer glitch over booked the room) my boyfriend was very nice but told them this was in unacceptable. By the end of the day, we were in the correct room but it was hours later than promised.
Lobster was on every menu but was not available during our 4 night stay. I found it very odd that lobster was not available the entire duration. Also there is a disconnect between what is on the menu and what you actually receive. A crab cake is really a dip, a shrimp dish is one shrimp with rice and veggies...we laughed every night because we never knew what was coming. The service in the restaurants was not good. I was a waitress for years and I always had a smile and nod...there was none of that in many of the restaurants. Breathless has the best restaurant as well as service. People are happy there...it was nice to see smiles.
We never spoke down to anyone. This was all observations.
My boyfriend put comments on their Facebook page and instead of apologizing for the rude service, they deleted his comments.

My wife and I came here to just unplug and relax. The staff are very welcoming nice. The atmosphere is very cool. The only issue that I see is the lack of food options. Not sure if it was because of COVID-19 or what but it appears, depending upon the day and time of day, the restaurant that you ate breakfast at could be changed to another restaurant (by name) in the afternoon and then in the evening. Not really an issue being here but online, it appears as if its 3 different places. Other than that, we are having a wonderful time!
