The food at the a La cartes was good, however I found the buffet underwhelming. There was a beach restaurant that served burgers, hot dogs, nachos and fries everyday. Twice during the week they had a grill out with Mahi Mahi and paella. Problem for us was the alcohol. Most of what they serviced was very low end stuff. We paid the privileged which said we had premium alcohol. 9 times out of 10 they were "out for the day" bartenders (especially at the pool) didn't always care what you ordered and sometimes would just serve you anything. Also there are no wristbands so basically anybody could drink anything, they didn't care if you were privileged or not. Room was fine, ac kept the room at a steady 20 degrees, the refrigerator didn't keep anything cold, but we didn't use it anyway. We did hear people complain of issues with theirs including non working a/c, water leaks, etc. Grounds were well kept, beach and pools were beautiful. Main staff were friendly and attentive. This resort has no reservations for the a la cartes, which was nice. We didn't end up waiting for any longer than 20 minutes and their gave you a pager so you could wander while you waited. Service in the buffet could be better, sometimes you had to search for someone for utensils or more water which was something we were unaccustomed to from staying at other resorts. Emilio at the privileged bar was very attentive and always tried his best. Darling and Caesar of the animation staff were awesome. Irwin from the lobby bar was great too.
