Grounds and beach maintained to really high standard. Entertainment team amazing. Bar staff and restaurant staff really hard working. Food really good in ALL restaurants.

I was not expecting it to be such a great place to be.
The entertainment crew are busy round the clock. There s always something going on every hour that you can enjoy.
Food was very good. Bakery is good. Buffet style is good too. So much choices. The sushi could be little better. It was little dry and grainy.
Many staffs don t know English Language but they are extremely hospitable.
I always look forward to 9:30 entertainment at the concert hall. It s amazing !!
Please do not forget to tip if the service is good. Bring 1$ bills because changing you lose 1$ for 20$.
Change to USD for everyone s ease.

The pool is clean. Love the pool bar.

Excellent place. Always in constant cleaning, very friendly staff, good food although they repeat a lot, the a la carte restaurants are without reservation that that is good the food in that restaurant is of quality and of good proportion. The bars have international drinks and not like other resorts that limit you. The super clean and air-conditioned bathrooms, the rooms alike. I recommend it

The rooms are very noisy. Manly from staff talking right outside the door...
And the food is dictated by time so its literally easier to get drinks then food.

Holiday was really great. Clean top, friendliness top, buffet top, theme restaurants were not our taste

After 40 years of travelling the world - this is the worst resort that I have ever stayed at. Stay away. Even though you pay for a deluxe view room - you have a view of a block wall and the dusty service road. The balcony door on your ground floor room cannot lock. So much for security! The room stinks of cleaning chemicals so bad you can t breath. But for $55 to $175US a night you can upgrade to something habitable. Finally after fighting with the front desk and the intervention of your travel agent you get to the room you paid for. However the stress of packing and unpacking 3 times takes away from the relaxation you have worked so hard for and paid so much for. Your vacation here actually starts on day 3. Then you have to be up every day at 6:00am to get a chair at the pool - but don t dare leave those chairs because get this - security takes all of your belongings and packs them away and gives your seats to the next person who s complaining that they can t find a seat by the pool. It s takes you time and frustration to get you belongings back. It only that - you have to identify them and prove those items belong to you!! So much for any hope of a relaxing experience. The food is 3 star at best. The Dominican workers here are beautiful wonderful people - unless they are in management. Management does nothing to resolve the situation. Stay away.

Great family resort. Always something going on if you want to participate. If not, there's lots of room by the pool and beach. The food was good as was the service. We had batteries go bad in our remote. Made a call to the front desk and 5 minutes later the issue was resolved.

**Below Average** (Sept. 3 - 8) 2017

We booked the honeymoon suite and found the air conditioner didn't work. The staff worked hard, but couldn't quite get it right. Secondly, the resort dollars are a sham. We received a $100 credit for attending a time share presentation. We applied it to a tour, which was cancelled due to Hurricane IRMA. When we asked the Apple rep to refund the $100 credit, they refused. Thirdly, the room was not properly cleaned. Grime and stains were left throughout the room even after they cleaned it. The beach was HORRIBLE. It was full of black & brown seaweed all week that mixed into a disgusting black sludge. During the IRMA threat, all services were prematurely shut down to the dismay of all the guests. Restaurant and cleaning services were shut down for a threat that only equated to 35mph winds. (Since we were preferred club members, I expected that the preferred staff would help up w/the logistics during the threat of IRMA...They were the first ones to leave the resort at the threat of bad weather & nowhere to be found at the time they were needed the most)

The bright spot was a employee named Laura. She did a fantastic job helping us get our issues delt with. She was extremely helpful and deserves to be in a leadership role. The bellhop Aury did a great job as well.

In summary, I would not recommend this resort.

Beautiful structure 20 minutes by car from Punta Cana's airport. Spacious rooms, 6 restaurants, 4 bars, 3 large pools and 2 smaller ones. Excellent service: nice and professional staff. Very recommended for quality/price ratio especially if booked with some offers.

Great place. There a full week for a wedding. Food was great, great tours, lots of alcohol. Would do again

The resort is old and neglected by management because tourists still book it. If you don't book the preference club, you'll get the oldest rooms farthest from the beach with AC that doesn't work well or at all.

It's well known that the liquor is local stuff in reused imported bottles.

The staff are amazing. If it wasn't for them, this resort would be a 1 or 2* resort. The gardens are well cared for, room cleaning is good but the pools don't have any filters running or anything. They depend on the strong sun for that.

For Canadians, the unicorn and ducky is us$35, cheaper than the $70 Canadian Tire wants for the same thing.

Gift shop prices are $5-10 higher than outside.

My fiance and I stayed at the dreams palm beach punta Cana March 2018. We had a fantastic week. The service was great, the ebterentertai was fantastic. The beach was gorgeous. Even the restaurants we're wonderful. We did this trip with another couple to see if we wanted to have our wedding there. Which we definitely are next year. I have no complaints and highly recommend the resort.

Amazing place staff are so nice. Great food with lots of vegetarian options. Great for families or couples and great wedding services. Me and my family had an amazing time.

stayed from aug.19th-29th. this was our 8th stay in as many years and it was an amazing stay. starting with ms. cedano, mr.nava, mr.espinoza, mr. wilson, rubin, gasolina, george, lily, juan carlos and the list goes on and on..great restaurants and service with a smile everywhere. rooms are great, a little more closet space would help, haha. beautiful clean beach. we will be back, god willing.love you guys.

Excellent doesn't do it justice. Food, location and don't forget the service are all above and beyond.
Sea wouldn't be great for swimming (seaweed) but with all the pools you can always get a dip.

Don't Stay Here - My wife and I were very disappointed with our stay at this resort. The room we had was about five years passed its prime and long in need of a renovation. The grout in the shower floor was falling out and black. The bathroom fixtures were grimy. You wanted to wear shoes when you were in the shower. On the second last day the ceiling in our room leaked and water and ceiling plaster was all over the bathroom floor. Staff didn't seem too concerned. Had too speak to a manager to get a different room... it was equally dirty and shabby. The food at the resort is below average. Even the a la carte restaurants were a big disappointment. The air conditioning did not work very well. Both rooms we had were always damp and musty feeling. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Fridge restocked some days others not. Towels replaced other times not. The mattress was long passed its prime. Other people in our group had the same experience. This resort is in need of a refurbishment. The coffee shop roof collapsed the first day we were hear. If you take a close look around you can see broken roof tiles and other things in need of repair. Don't stay here until it is fixed up.

On arrival after a long flight they hand you off to someone for a resort orientation. The real purpose of the talk is to try to sell you a vacation club package. What a waste of time, very intrusive and not what I want to do when I get off a flight. Leave me alone, let me go to my room, relax and freshen up.

Went to the Japanese restaurant. The teppanyaki chef was great. Unfortunately the cockroach that walked across out table put a damper on the enjoying our dinner.

On the plus side, the resort and activity staff are friendly and welcoming and took pride in trying to make our stay enjoyable. Too bad the owners and management of the resort do not have the same pride, otherwise they would have fixed this place up a long time ago.

We were from 16 to 24 January 2018.we left Rome with an Alitalia flight stopover in Paris ... and in Paris, a flight to puntacana, we arrived in the evening (-5 time zone from Italy) they took us immediately to the hotel (voyage agency prive nexus)
The distance from the airport to the hotel 10/15 minutes by bus 10 km

There were 3 of us (2 adults 1 child 9 years) they first gave us a room a bit ambush away from everything ... then the second day they changed it with a first floor (6202) halfway away from everything overlooking the pool - --not big room a wardrobe but great location ...

Clean pools of which a reserved area (privilege) with a warm pool (small) and a reserved one (no children)
Excursions soana excellent you can also do with those of the beach (in 3 . 160 all including lunch) king you have to bargain
1 hour by bus then fast boat and return by catamaran ... music and rum .... on the island possibility to take lobster 20/25 per piece ...
there are other excursions (not too much) dolphin adventure park
There are also some good price shops at the end of the beach on the right side ....

Fantastically beautiful hotel

Hotel in general

The resort has around 500 rooms, which are spread over several 3-story buildings. As Germans, we were / are a bit of a fringe group ;-), which we don't find bad, besides the 90% US citizens.

From early in the morning until late in the evening, the employees bustle through the resort: cleaning, tending the garden, making rooms, maintenance, etc.

Location and surroundings

The hotel is approximately 10 to 15 minutes from Punta Cana Airport. The BeLive Resort is right next door as a direct neighbor.

The fine sandy, almost powder-like, hotel-owned beach is simply a dream ... it alone is worth the trip!

If you leave the hotel through the large iron gate and continue straight ahead, there are a few small shops for souvenir shopping and cigarettes. There is also a pharmacy here. A little further away there are 2 shopping centers, which we did not visit.

There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel.

Excursions can be booked through your own tour operator, but none are cheaper than 100! The water sports center located on the beach also offers excursions, some of which are a bit cheaper.

service

The service is just perfect! The staff are always friendly and always greet you and are very attentive even without constant tips!

All employees speak English and the communication works over here without any problems. We found the behavior of some German guests very strange who ordered their drinks in German ??? gave up and then got upset that the man at the bar didn't understand.

There is room cleaning twice a day. 1x in the morning and 1x around 7 p.m. Since we were in the "Prefferd Club", we unfortunately cannot say exactly whether this will also happen in the normal rooms. But even after the first cleaning, everything is tip-top-clean!

gastronomy

In addition to the main buffet restaurant, there are 4 a la carte restaurants (Japanese / Chinese, Mexican, French, Italian & a grill restaurant on the beach. We only have the French, the Mexican and the grill restaurant We could not find a qualitative, outstanding difference to the buffet, so we only used the buffet afterwards.

The buffet restaurant offers something for everyone and there are also various stations where the food is freshly prepared. I especially like to mention the freshly prepared pizza in the buffet restaurant, which is very, very tasty!

All restaurants are clean and there is a member of staff at the entrances who offers the guests some "hand disinfection gel" before they enter!

Sports, pool & entertainment

There is entertainment, but we didn't use it. The shows that are shown in our own theater are really nice.

The "core zone" with table tennis, billiards and air hockey is also suitable for passing the time. The hotel also offers a tennis court and in the water sports center on the beach, you can borrow a kayak, sailboat or even diving goggles for 1 hour free of charge. The usual, chargeable things like parasailing, diving, banana boating and surfing are also offered here

room

Our prefered room in building number was big enough with 41 square meters. We have a king-size bed, a flat screen TV (only Deutsche Welle as a German channel), DVD player (films can be borrowed for free in the lobby), coffee machine, minibar (refilled daily with: 2x beer, 2x Cola, 2x Cola Light, 1x Sprite, 1x Fanta and 1x orange juice), terrace with 2 chairs and a table.

The bathroom is very large with a jacuzzi / shower and 2 sinks. Here, too, they were always thoroughly cleaned!

Just a wonderful, relaxing vacation amongst tropical gardens and white sand beaches. Super friendly staff.

The people at the hotel were very friendly, sadly the restaurants did not have much variety. We ordered food from the Italian place (chicken fettuccini) and they only gave us pasta Alfredo. When asked for the chicken, they just cut out Parmesan chicken and threw It in our dish. It was pretty disgusting. The breakfast in the morning also, was poor. All the food was very cold and not much of taste, even when waking up as early as they opened. The beach is also very mediocre, full of seaweed and you have to sit behind the palm trees if not the sellers will come at you like vultures trying to sell you everything and not let you enjoy the relaxation of the weather and waves. Overall, the staff were friendly and helped us with our schedules and Covid test (which was free of cost). The room was pretty small, but the shower did get clogged. If you re used to humid smell you ll be okay. It was clean when we got there and we didn t complain at all. King size bed was very comfortable. The night shows were mid but E for effort. The wifi also was not working as much in the room but it s Dominican Republic, the signal is just not as strong. If you re in the lobby area you ll be great. So the experience was pretty good with excursions, Spa treatment and views. The only negative thing was the food, the beach and the flooded (clogged) bathroom. Wish they had more entertainment and stuff to do at the hotel. Since leaving the resort wasn t in our plans or comfort.

Very calm I went in May 2019 for a week, very well rest

The grounds are beauriful and clean. The pool was spotless. They are great about picking up glasses. The beach was great. Entertainment was awesome. Food was good. The workers are very friendly and encourage you to take part in activitie. Our room was aweful. Dirty, toilet broke, had to ask for towels every day, got locked out on the balconey, they promised us a new room never came through. Many of the workers do not speek english so could not get help. Once everything was fixed we had a great time. Just our room was an issue. They did not comp us in anyway for all of the room issues. If they had i would have given them 5.

Spectacular vacation. The staff is excellent, just like the food and pool. In October the seagrass was gone, which increased the value of the beach immensely

I COMPLETELY HATED IT. At first it was ok, seaweed all over the beach and in the water but the most appaling thing was the management and their treatment. I booked a trip at the resort from one of the representatives who promised me it was a smooth ride with a Catamaran. I explained i had a hip replacement and couldnt do anything bumpy. Long story short i woke up at 7am to go on the ride there 1hr from Punta Cana they explain the Catamaran is not available put on life vests and ride with Speedboad to the island, which i of course couldnt do. Told the tourguide that he put me on the first taxi back to the resort not giving me an option to stay wait on the bus nothing. I came to the resort fare was 120$ confronted the guy who lied to me not telling me about the speedboats they failed to take any responisbility for the situation. Simply gave me my money back and said u can pay taxi that i didnt order with that. Wow management was NOT helpful, simply stated well if you didnt like it there is enough American and Canadian tourists who will come back this is the Carribean. WOW .. Wow talked to other people at the resort some hated it some were on the fence but stated definitely not coming back here. I went to Jamaica a few times and loved it. Punta Cana and especially this resort. Never Again! Shame on them!!!
