My wife and i stopped in for breakfast at the hotel del coronado. the parking lot sign was set up in a deceptive way to have every person to pay at least 30 dollars there . The sign on the way in says from top to bottom left to right 0 to 3 hrs ... 5 dollars. On the way out when you pay , top to bottom ,left to right says 0 to 3 hrs ,with no validation is 30 dollars.... and validation you would have to have spent 50 dollars inside. Its not about the money , its about being scammed, why else would they print 2 different signs.

From the minute I called for a room the staff was warm and welcoming. Had a room with 2 double beds and huge balcony facing quiet interior courtyard. Bathrooms are small and floor sloped down but it's all part of the charm. Room was clean-furniture and bedding updated & comfy. Elevator guy has worked there for decades! Loved the family atmosphere, right on beach, little promenade of shops and restaurants. So super charming. Really a step back in time and such a cool unique experience. Of course food is a little pricey but it's too be expected at a resort. Also there was a line to get coffee in the morning...only one cashier. Just have to be patient. Super cute gift shop type stores. My little one loved the mermaid shop. Best location on Coronado. Would love to go back again.

Not what you would expect from this hotel. Room was ok, not great. The water in the shower would go hot and cold, never staying at one temperature. Large groups are not handle well. Restaurants are over priced. Beautiful place but I was disappointed with the stay.

The Hotel Del Coronado is a beautiful place to visit, even on the gloomiest of days. The staff is always friendly, and the interior is gorgeous and worth checking out, even if you aren't staying there!

We went in to use the bathroom and buy a bottle of water on a Saturday afternoon. The parking in the area was crazy and my bottle of water was $6. The line for the bathroom was long (only two stalls int the downstairs bathroom) and it was out of toilet paper. The beach out front was very crowded. I recommend parking further down the beach and bringing your own water!

If you are willing to pay 400 to 600 usd per Night, it is a historic hotel made all of wood that opened in the late 1800s. Beautiful beach and good service. I've found just as good for half the price.

We didn't stay here but came check out the beach. Their beach and restaurants are open to the public. The beach atmosphere is lively, with the view of the historic hotel makes it an interesting place. The restaurant is super expensive. We paid $40 for a chicken salad and $20 for 2 pieces of Tacos. But do check out the fast food options by the beach. There's a taco place there that makes unbelievably delict tacos, it must be the best taco I've ever had.

During a quick trip to San Diego, my friend and I decided to get a pedicure at the Hotel del Coronado. Our experience was...interesting. While the staff was nice, they didn't really seem to be on the same page. The pedicure itself was nice, but not worth what we paid. However, the pedicure did last for a solid month which I was pleased with. Before and after the pedicure, we were able to utilize the locker room and spa pool, which was a a nice perk. After we were done, we visited one of the bars on the property only to find outrageous prices. While there is historical significance behind this hotel and property, my first visit did not meet my expectations. I would give it another chance in the future though.

I was here for a conference. The meals were outstanding and the facilities are quite comfortable. The hotel has so many unique features; so much ambiance! The gym is small for the size of the hotel. There is an outdoor spin class, though Overall, a great experience.

The Del was our halfway turnaround point on our bike ride from Sorrento Valley to Coronado via the Coaster and the Ferry. We got some ice cream and also had a small picnic. Fun day with my Sweety!

A beautiful place to take photos. Just wish parking was free. If you can find a spot across the street, grab and and just walk across. Otherwise it's like $30 or something. Not worth it for that price if its a quick visit.

Mainly seafood at the restaurant, but the burger was surprisingly good. Very nice views of the beach. Very big beach and very clean, soft sand. Candy shop with great selection, and gelato place with limited variety but good flavors. The hotel architecture is very neat. Fun for just looking around. Service was decent. Lots of tourists.

Amazing and beautiful historic hotel. The hotel is big and full of shops and restaurants to keep you intrigued. The pool overlooks the ocean and is in a perfect location, and it is a two second walk to the ocean beach.

The look of the hotel is amazing! Our favorite bartender was Jose, and he doesn t work their anymore which was very very hard and saddening for my family and I. Getting rid of him ruined everything for us. Hilton definitely made a poor choice in doing that. Most likely won t be coming back. They also charged extra for every little thing.

This is a giant, expensive resort. If you're not in one of the top of the line accommodations, there are going to be things you're purposefully excluded from, like the best placed beach bars. There are a bunch of restaurants that all close at 9pm. There's a lot of stuff to spend money on like beach kibanas, bike rentals, and preppy clothes. The food is good. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beach is beautiful. Exactly what you'd expect from a giant, established beach resort, basically.

The lady Rose who works in the coffee shop near the lobby was absolutely rude. She cursed at a group of boys. She made fun of my wife s weight. She told the group of boys the coffee was free and then tried to charge them.

Go see how great this huge, old, beautiful hotel is. The beach is huge and a fun for the whole family. The elevator operator looks like he's been there since the hotel opened. When was the last time you saw an elevator operator? Thanksgiving dinner was $145.00 but worth it. Coronado town is old California and a great walking experience. Don't miss it if you've never been.

A very historic hotel, very popular hotel for travelers and locals. Wonderful customer service and food, nice beach front and it's own swimming pool and indoor shops. Easy to do everything from here from traveling by foot around the Island, to going to the mainland to see Sea world or the San Diego Zoo.

Beautiful setting. We skated at the outdoor ice rink and the weather was sunny and just warm enough. Can't beat the view - ice skating by the beach was a treat. The holiday decorations inside and on the hotel grounds were also beautiful.
