Has great shopping, great food, gorgeous beach, gorgeous place to be. My favorite part was the bell hop boy in the elevator.

Iconic Historic Hotel located on one of the most picturesque beaches in California.
Sun Deck Bar prices are great and the views are awesome, especially during sunsets.
This place is obviously iconic. Great beach and lovely hotel. Tons of shops and food to keep you busy. I highly reccomend biking around the island. We love coming to San Diego and this is our go to place for lodging as long as you dont mind the hustle and bustle of the resort feel of this hotel.
Hotel del Coronado has a beautiful view of the beach and the lawn is a nice warm place to lay out to enjoy the warm beach weather. It's definitely a classic spot and a must see for all tourists that enjoy places with a lot of history.
A very cool, historic hotel. The main lobby, elevator & pool decks are enjoyable. We also enjoyed food & drinks at several of the onsite restaurants.
Fantastic beach access!!
Beautiful hotel, although it is old it is still maintained well. I would highly recommend this place.
Beautiful hotel! Right on the water. So much history here. Highly recommended!
Lovely old school hotel with a great sense of history and modern amenities. Great food choices and killer views
Beautiful location! We stayed at Hotel Del in an oceanview tower room over July 4th holiday. The resort put together many great family-friendly events and fireworks show. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and the views spectacular. I wish there were more variety in the kid menus between the various restaurants onsite and better communication upon check-in at how the breakfast service works when included with room. Overall a great experience, we would absolutely return.
Best location for a banquet or a resort style vacation! Any holiday is enhanced here. 4th of July Parade and Christmas are my favorite there.
Great drinks at the bar. A little pricey but what do you expect.
This hotel! Great place to eat, shop and got to the beach not to mention BEAUTIFUL.
I was just at the beach in the surrounding area. Very nice. Very peaceful.
Incredible experience. Four stars were given because everything is so very expensive - fireside seating, breakfast, wine, roasting marshmallows on the beach, ice skating, cabanas. Seems like some things should be included in the cost of staying at the hotel. The views and the beach are gorgeous.
Excellent grounds, amazing view and beach, attentive and friendly staff. If you're looking into this hotel, you already know what to expect. And it will live up to those expectations.
Got a drink and sat out on their deck. Great view of the sunset and ocean.
Make sure you ask plenty of questions due to poor signage, there are sneaky prices on things and they claim there is a "big" sign to clarify but there is not. Will not be touring this place anymore. Was nice until we realized we were being scammed. Thanks.
Gorgeous beach and pool area. Everyone who works there is very helpful.
Fantastic and iconic old hotel on Coronado peninsula. The say Frank Baum designed the emerald city of Oz based on his visits to the hotel and he in kinds designed the chandeliers for the ballroom
An amazing hotel. The views from the rooms are breath taking
Stop by for lunch and the food was great. We had the grill scallops and sea bass.
Booked our king size bedroom 2 1/2 months ago. Arrived and was told no king size rooms available excepts one with frosted windows. We were looking forward to our family trip to the ocean and the room we end up with is a view of the roof. Thanks Hotel Del Coronado
Beautiful historical hotel with all the amenities of a new hotel, just beautiful and located near a great Beach and ocean view made it even better
Friendly service, really nice rooms, and high quality food. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.
The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Super nice. Super classy
If you have not ever stayed here you need to. Now that it is managed by Hilton it is so much better than it used to be. The beach is awesome the food is delicious and there is no riffraff.
Hotel is a great place to take friends and family for a day at the beach. Several restaurant. and bar options, great views and right on the beach.
I was just there to visit the location during the day time. Beautiful views of the beach front. Short walk to many restaurants around.
Amazing place! Historical and beautiful. The beach is spectacular!!
Beautiful and historical. Gorgeous beach just steps away from the hotel. Rooms have seen better days, could do with some renovations.
We always spend a few days here when we are attending the craziness of San Diego Comic-Con. The Del is a world away from the crowds!
The day we went to check in we arrived just before 4 pm. When we arrived our rooms weren't ready for check in ( we had 2 rooms). Finally a little before 5 one of our rooms were ready. We called about 530 to check on other room and were told not ready yet. We went to grab dinner and finally at about 630 the second room was ready. Once we got to our room and walked in it spelled terrible, almost like something was molding. My wife called the front desk and asked to be moved, the front desk said there were no other rooms available so they will send someone up to "freshen up" the room. We left for over and hour to come back and no one has come up yet. My wife called again and repeated all this to the front desk. After traveling all day we just wanted to give our son(6) a bath and go to bed. As soon as my son get ready for the bath maintenance showed up with a spray bottle. After he sprayed about half the bottle all over the carpet I asked him to stop because it was all wet now.
We were told we would be moved rooms the next morning. Well the next morning came and no new room. Finally about 4 pm we were told we would be moved. So we had to rush because we had dinner reservations to get to.
I was not impressed at all with the rooms. Stains in the carpets, dusty, the safety door latch was broke....
For the price that you pay I was expecting better service and rooms. I am pretty comfortable saying that next time we go on vacation we won't be staying there.
Wow! What an amazing hotel. Staff was super friendly and everything was clean. I was blown away by the place.
Great hotel. Good costumer service and nice amenities. They even have an eagle that chases off the seagulls while you are eating!
Do not spend your hard earned money at this hotel. Very disappointed. Our ocean view turned out to be a MESSY under construction roof. Our room felt like it was a mile away from check in.
Hallways were dirty, room smelled musty. We paid $572 per night + parking was $40. Look else where, all your money they charge is NOT going into any upgrades!!! Never ever again.
The Hotel Del Coronado is our family's favorite place to splurge on and stay. The location is phenomenal and the history is fun. You'll probably want to spend most of your time hanging out on the amazing beach, but there is a pretty amazing pool if you can tear yourself away from the beach for a while. Some other available activities include renting bikes (or even bike surries), trained surfing lessons, or joining an exercise class. We love the Del and plan to save up and return as often as possible.
My wife and I visited the Hotel del Coronado during our trip to San Diego. We spent approximately two hours at the hotel and strolling through the various sites around the hotel including Coronado beach and the nearby shops. This hotel is very beautiful and it can make for a nice afternoon stroll to walk around this hotel.
Amazing experience. The food and service was perfect. The view and atmosphere were ideal as well.
Great location - the scenery is amazing, even if you're a San Diego native.
Beautiful hotel. Great shops and an awesome beach.
Love the restaurants and the moo time ice cream shop. A walk on the beach afterwards is just perfect
Just terrible. Came here for our anniversary and our view was a construction site and the room was decrepit. The shower water was ice cold too. They also ended up charging me for a room upgrade I never received, they said it was a mistake because there was another guest with my last name. What a joke! Stay away from this place.
Historically beautiful. Loved hanging out and walking the beach. Parking is expensive!!
The facilty is amazing though under renovation. The part that disapointed me was each point of contact with staff members I felt I was treat indifferently and just another guest and I didn't matter.
A beautiful hotel with an amazing seaside restaurant although wait times are usually high.
Very beautiful hotel in walking distance of the beach. We stayed in the Cabanas when walking into our room we noticed the windows were dirty, we were informed that no room service was available due to covid, and we were constantly harassed by security due to the large number of family members we had. I believe this was all unacceptable for the price per day everyone in our party paid. Good experience but would not stay there again.
Beautiful hotel, easily accessible for visitors interested in its long and storied history, easily accessible and wonderful beach for a day of relaxation
Only walked around the premises and ate ice cream. Looked like a nice place though.
Pretty great hotel. Right on the beach. Staff was willing to accommodate everything.
Went to the hotel to grab a drink at the bar and watch the sunset which was gorgeous. Prices are high ($11 for local beer), but the location is prime.
Grand old hotel on the beach. It sounds great but it was a bumpy visit. The staff did their best to accommodate but I won't lie, it wasn't a good stay.
Just had the breakfast brunch at the Coronado. The brunch was well stocked with plenty of options, though the price, at $38 a head, is steep. Would recommend if the comfortable with the price.
Excellent place to stay. Great building and all staff I meet verry friendly. Good service snd rooms.
Beautiful venue, just went to the beach and played Frisbee
Didn't stay here but walked around for a while and honestly it is worth the $5 for parking. Really fits the SD-vibe from an outsider's perspective. Most buildings this old with this much wood burned to the ground. It's a beautiful building without being undesirably too perfect, if you feel me. An HP annual private event was going on. I bet this place always has some sort of event going on due to location and grandeur. Lots of amenities on site.
This hotel is a historic gem. The scenery is breath taking. The hotel's architecture is amazing and the history is fascinating!
Great piece of history -- fun grounds to visit and shops and eateries are nice. Rooms....pass. The smells in the hall will have you asking where the sewage treatment plant is.
Awesome, beautiful hotel and location. The CA pines are huge and awesome, nice place out back to watch the sunset and we we're lucky enough to find discount racks in just about every store so got some great resort stuff at 75% off! Lots of history here!
Wonderful hotel!!! Great location. The rooms, amenities, and most importantly, the people working there were all nice! I will absolutely be back. The only negative I can think of was no blackout curtains for a good sleep in. Minor, but be aware. Cheers!
Unbelievably bad guest service, overcharging, and one mistake after another. I feel sad for how this historic hotel turned out! It's now the worst place to stay.
Right on the beach. Enjoyed a few drinks at the bar l.
Five stars all the way. This is easily one of the finest resort hotels in the area and nothing even comes close. The service is outstanding.
The staff are wonderful and the view is gorgeous! The room though decent sized and clean I was surprised by the dated and stained carpet in my room. I also don't like the fact that you have to pay a daily fee for amenities like "free WiFi", the gym, bottled water and coffee whether you use them or not...!
Historical and beautiful. I always feel like I am on vacation when I am just visiting the hotel for the day. Great for brunch or just walking around. I'm sure the rooms are lovely too
I had strawberry cheesecake icecream and it was absolutely delicious. They have a huge selection.
Cool place nice shops great Beach views and love the bar on the beach. But in my opinion this place is a bit too touristy.
Only went to the beach. The beach is amazing!!! So beautiful & clean.
I was very excited to stay at this hotel but was disappointed and am still feeling the effects of my experience . The room was not clean . There was hair in the bathtub and stains on the sheets . After wearing the hotel robe, I got numerous bug bites that are extremely itchy .
Great place! Make sure to get a room with a beach view and balcony. Taco hut is overrated but the drinks are fantastic! We had a great time.
Staying at the hotel feels like you're living in a part of history, but that comes at a price. We didn't have hot water for the first 24 hours, and there are no real perks to being a guest there. The beach is public, and hotel guests pay the same amount as non-guests to rent a beach chair for the day. My suggestion... stay at a nearby hotel and visit Coronado during the day. Use the money you save for their Sunday brunch. THAT was AMAZING! And well worth the price.
Huge hotel, staff not very helpful, we got a dark room that was nothing to write home about. Nice location with views. Not impressed overall.
Quite expensive... $40 for valet parking for 1.5 hrs. Apparently the Sunday brunch is fabulous but it costs $96 per person. The beach and grounds are absolutely stunning though. The self parking option is $30 This would be a great place for a planned vacation.
With a friend who was staying, just passed through. Beautiful grounds
Definitely a lot of history and character. Friendly staff. I prefer a more modern, luxurious feel
Loved it great views of the ocean and long sandy beach
Felt a bit out of place. People/staff aren t welcoming at all
This is a must visit. I only stopped by for dinner at Eno, next time in San Diego I will stay here at least one night. It is incredible!
There's no place like the Del. Crown room brunches or smores on the beach. It's amazing in all seasons
The landmark of Coronado, stunning location and fantastic restaurants and bars. Amazing for sunsets, romantic dinners and even time with kids. Spa is incredible too!
one of my favourite spots in San Diego for many reasons but this is an amazing wedding venue also and the building and surrounding area offer so many beautiful opportunities for for stunning photographs
