Close to the airport, very friendly hotel, they shuttled us down to walmart and to the eating districts nearby, very customer service oriented... oh and the breakfast was delicious.

Nice hotel. Recently renovated. Great food at the restaurant.
Super close to the airport with a free shuttle. When I came thru (Fall '17) they were in the middle of a massive remodel of the common areas. They had a nice, sizable fitness area, a nice looking pool, and a relaxing view of the water. I also didn't notice airport noise. We came in late and the staff was helpful.
Lost a star because the rooms are a bit on the small end and there was a charge for the Wi-Fi ($9.99/night). Literally EVERY OTHER Marriott I've been to has a free tier of wifi. Even the KC airport has free WiFi. The charge is unacceptable if they want to attract business travellers, and they need to remove it.
Room was clean. The water pressure was not very strong in the shower. No mini fridge in the room. Overall an ok experience for someone looking to wait out a long layover or rest for a night after a long flight.
Parking is decent, the renovation going on is mildly annoying, but the food from the catering has been amazing these past few days, and service has been very nuce.
Awesome, friendly staff. Great beer selection and amazing food.
Worked well for catching an early flight. Certain amount of noise comes with constant traffic.
The whole hotel has been redone recently and the restaurant is very nice. The view of the lake behind the hotel is also surprisingly beautiful. Would be a cool place for a reception or a party.
The shuttle to and from the airport was convenient and frequent. The rooms were nice and comfortable. It was a little annoying that everything seemed to be an extra cost (WiFi, business center) but otherwise it was decent.
Very nice. I love the new up to date decorating. Very modern and nice.
Very nice, clean, friendly, conviently by the airport
I attended a direct sales pep rally and new product launch. I did not stay at this hotel . The staff was friendly and greeted me with a smile . The event room was set up as .ost tyipcal events . Round tables , table clothes , ice water and goblets with a small of candy . Basic ( but that could be part of pricing for renting a event room ). Smoking areas out side of the hotel were close to the entrance and supplied adequate shelter from the elements . Also to note smoking areas were situated so nonsmokers weren't blasted with smoke or odor upon entering and leaving the hotel
Beautiful view over the lake with the planes taking off in the background.
Wonderful experience with the Marriott staff. Friendly and attentive.
We were there for a wedding and it was great. The service was excellent.
Room and service was terrific. I wish the shower had a little more pressure and would have like if they offered free WiFi.
Love this hotel! Beds are comfortable, food is amazing, and service is great!
It's a good hotel to stay in or to park your car for few weeks
Stayed here a few times because of proximity to airport, and always felt a bit disappointed afterwards.
Pros:
-convenient location
-Front desk service is typically friendly
-Restaurant and bar has decent food and drinks.
Cons:
-Rooms are very small and dated. Desperate need of face lift if it wants to be considered a 3 star hotel... you are paying Marriott price for 2 star accommodations.
-No free WiFi on top of this inflated price will leave you feeling even more ripped off.
-while restaurant food was decent, each time I went it was packed with obnoxious loud guests. Bad acoustics contributes to an unpleasant experience... each time I felt like eating fast and getting out. Service for dine in was extremely slow as they are understaffed if restaurant is half full.
Recommend the Hilton near the airport... get more bang for your buck...
Hotel entry faces to the west northwest. Very cold winds in the winter months walking from the parking. The parking signage was confusing along the street. They all note permit parking only. I was there for a short business meeting. I ignored the signs, parked as close as I could to the front door in non handicapped spot. PS, plenty of handicap parking a little closer to the front door. Good views to a lake from the dining bar area. The staff gladly lowered the sun shades when the sun bounced off the water into the table we were sitting
I would come back.
Only issue is they wouldn't honor my messed up reservation so I had to find a different hotel. Not paying $165 for a night!
Currently under renovations but the new rooms are quite an improvement and I'm sure the rest will be quite decent once compketr6
Restaurant food is solid for the weary traveler. Poke bowl is surprisingly solid for land locked KC
eeds power outlets at desk. Right now just a strip on the floor. Great staff though.
We had our wedding here in January. The staff were amazing from our check-in to helping setting up for the wedding and making sure everything ran smooth especially with the crazy weather that day!! I would like to especially thank Kris Swoboda for going above and beyond her duties and making this more special for us! I would definitely recommend them to Friends and Family.
A nice hotel that's very close to the airport. They have a restaurant that has good views out over a man-made lake. The workout room is pretty well-stocked. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. Good WiFi.
I've only been here 4 hours off a good vacation to Florida but my train doesn't leave till morning. So I figured if I had to get a hotel I may as well get a nice one. I'm with my 2 year old daughter . Two keys didnt work. Then I was in room and someone knocked at around 4 PM I immediately got up and was walking to door about 5 seconds after the knock aa man opened the door. I am irate
Excellent hotel in terms of its facilities (lobby, bar, room). In excellent location 5 minutes from the Kansas City Airport and with a nice view of a lake in the rooms facing the back and side of the hotel.
Have not stayed there, but the location is very convenient to fly out of MCI
Hotel was a 5 food was good the shuttle back from airport was a 1.
We had to call three times over a 55 minute wait
I was here for a meeting, don't know anything about the rooms. But they served great food and desserts. Nice conference rooms.
Stayed at the Airport Marriott in a Lakeview room that was simply marvelous. Wonderful view of the lake and planes arriving and departing from the airport across the lake. The staff was so very polite professional and courteous. Midnight room service was prompt and delicious.
The rooms are very old and although they appear to be maintained, they are not thoroughly cleaned. The HVAC vent in my room was covered in dust and the bathroom was not even entered by housekeeping on the second day of my stay. The concierge lounge is the worst I've experienced for Marriott properties. My room was on the first floor and the noise of people coming and going was bad enough I had to wear earplugs to sleep. My room also had some kins of banging around in the vents but only on one night of my 3 night stay. The location is very close to the airport which is great, although if you want to eat outside the hotel you'll be driving at least 10 minutes. The gym is modern and has great equipment.
Great expirence but venue was a little small for what was hosted there
Great airport hotel. Good bar that serves food until 1am.
Location is great! I love the lake right next to the hotel. All the workers are friendly and helpful! Would go there again.
Service was great, it was under construction but what was done is lovely. Beds were good, pillows were good. But the showers leaked a ton of water onto the floor and I hit my head twice getting in and out of the shower
My assigned room is nice and clean. The lounge has good dinner apps, ribs and soup, and the restaurant's crab cakes were delicious. Not quite Maryland crab cakes, but I would most definitely order them again.
Fantastic hotel. Great staff. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful walking path next to a lake.
Will be great once the renovations are done. Until then lots of noise.
The rooms have been nicely renovated and the restaurant serves good food.
I went to a wedding, and the service was spectacular, the bathrooms were so clean, and everything was great, no family will have a big time.
This is my third stay at this location. I've accumulated about 60 nights total in those 3 stays.
Every stay I have issues. No hot water. Broken TV. No water at all. I only let them in my room to clean every 4-5 days for fresh towels. And they have not shown up to clean 4 times now (after I explicitly asked the front desk, face to face). I have eaten at the restaurant 3 times. The order was messed up all 3 times. So I gave up going there.
This place has a serious lack of attention to detail.
On a side note, Nancy in the concierge room is fantastic.
We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, and I have to say I was very impressed with the decor and amenities.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. While my room is substantially renovated, the kitchen is untouched which seems odd. The main reason for the three star is the 3 requests it took to get the room swept. There was food and dirt on the ground from previous gusts
I just stopped in to have a drink at the bar eoth friends after a wedding. The bar was very nice and a good size. I would recommend if you are on the area or waiting for a flight.
A great place to get breakfast when you have a layover at KCI
The remodel of the rooms turned out nicely my only complaint would be the size of the bathroom. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Convenient and prompt shuttle to the airport.
Wonderful stay with grandkids. Pool was a favorite place to visit along with the fitness center.
Rooms are smaller after the remodeling. Still, great value for their "park & fly" option.
Nice enough rooms, but absolutely no one enforcing the mask policy when Marriott was
Proud to give me a piece of paper when I checked in stating how they were being safe. Disappointed to say the least, there were a bunch of drunken cowboys fresh from a wedding all over the lobby with no masks on when I checked in. Felt very uncomfortable with the situation.
We love the new decor. Excellent service. Our concierge level room was very comfortably furnished. Bed was divine to sleep in. We loved the restaurant...my rueben was the best I have had in years. The homemade chips and onion dip are superb. They will bring another serving if you ask (you will want more). Great place to park and fly too
Staff is great. This is a very convenient location if you are doing an over night stay. There is a nice bar that is open to 130am and serves food that late. Rooms are a little dated but clean. Parking is free which is always nice at a full service Marriott
The hotel was undergoing light construction, there were outlets in our room that wouldn't work, but the main reason im giving them 3 stars was due to the heat in the room. The thermostat would not go to air conditioning. We called the front desk and they said they'd send someone up. Forty minutes later and no one ever showed up. It was quite frustrating.
It was amazing I loved the lake and the food was great!
Great onsite bar and restaurant. Comfortable beds. Modern updated rooms. Convenient airport shuttle runs every 20 minutes. Backs up to a beautiful lake and walking path.
I've stayed here many times (because my company picks it) and I've been disappointed many times. I checked into my room and the heater was maker an extremely loud banging noise like someone was trapped inside. I moved rooms. My new room has a low but constant rattle coming from the air vent but apparently that's as good as it's going to get. My sink is clogged and the lamps in the room look crooked despite the recent remodel. The worst part was the food was horrendous. I ordered a flank steak with herb fries. There were no herbs on them just plain soggy fries and only like 8 of them. It also came with "crispy brussel sprouts".....yeah no kidding, they were so charred that they crumbled into ash. When I made mention to my server that this didn't look like the description , she said " the kitchen does what they want." Whatever that means. If you have to stay here bring ear plugs and maybe eat before you arrive.
It is currently being remodeled, but I arrived late at night and only the signs indicated it, there was no mess and still was clean
Hotel under construction. "Restaurant/bar" in some dingy conference room". Room freezing but can't switch to heat because it's "not cold enough outside" (meanwhile I can see my breath outside). Sink in bathroom doesn't drain, AND housekeeping doesn't clean it. Toilet just keeps filling. All night. Non stop. This is an embarrassment for a full service Marriott.
The bar was severely understaffed and slow. Good drinks, though. Comfortable and plentiful seating both inside and out.
The conference rooms were huge and the chandeliers in there looked great. Looked and felt very high class.
Very friendly staff as well.
Nice Hotel! Jessica at the front desk was super helpful in getting me a room. Would stay there again.
Great M Club and service. Easy to find. Nice modern rooms.
We went to get Brunch for Mother's Day. The food was great and the staff was very nice, however for some reason we were not allowed to scoot two tables together which meant we had to split our one group into two. We were also unaware of the recent remodel, but it looked very nice. That said, the dining area seemed smaller than it was before and the buffet counter was also basically cut in half (size-wise, not literally) compared to the original one. All in all a solid 4/5, at least if you're only there for brunch.
Good, quiet, clean room. Good check-in process. Only complaint is that that beds are not queen sized.
Rooms are comfortable but I had some issues with credit card. They've taken from booking card and after that from my own. There is a little mess around bookings.
Staff super friendly and helpful. Room wasnt very clean. Dirt on floor. Dust everywhere. Staff super loud when cleaning room beside ours slamming drawers and doors. Beds were super comfy though.
Stayed for a 3 week stint. Rooms are clean, but could use an update. The concierge lounge is manned by some of the nicest people and the hor d'oeuvres are good. Internet is pricey, yet the parking is free. The workout room is quite nice, multiple tredmills and ellipticals. Kind of a pain to hook up my PS4 to the TV and Internet.
Been staying at the Marriott for over 15 years when in town for business. Always been a good experience until the last 2 years when I've seen the level of service decline to unacceptable levels.
Usually I arrive too late to eat at the restaurant, but the bar has pretty good food. Still does. But the service is abysmal. The staff is extremely slow. There is zero attention to detail so you never get what you asked for. Takes multiple requests to finally get anything sorted out. Bartender walks away from you while you are still talking and ordering. Overall it is simply rude and incompetent.
Do a lot of work from my computer. Last trip I couldn't get on the wifi for hours because the staff refused to enter the required last name into their computer to allow me to purchase internet service. Finally I found someone at the front desk who would listen and got the problem straightened out. Of course now I have wasted a couple of hours making for a very short time to rest before working the next morning.
It is a shame to see what this once nice property has turned into. Hopefully management can turn it around, but for now I will no longer be staying here.
Avoid.
Its good and bad. All the dining is outside the gates. Lines are short
Under renovation, but the updated rooms are very nice. Restaurant is pretty good as well.
Great Hotel with great amenities. My bed was so comfortable and TV screen was awesome. Bathroom was clean and whole room was well maintained.
The people were very nice. Our room was very comfortable and inviting. We dined in the restaurant, and the food was delicious. The restaurant does not have a gluten free menu, but they did accommodate my order, without the gluten foods. Thank you!!
