This airport was built to be very open and all the TSA walls and things have really messed it up.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were comfortable. Just wished they had a foam pillow in the rooms. Feather pillows don't give much support. Staff was great & friendly.
This is NOT your typical Marriott! Yes it is convenient to the airport but that's about it. They are in the middle of a VERY much needed renovation. Our room was very dusty when we checked in. The bathroom was very small. The room showed A LOT of wear and tear in it. The pictures on the internet are not what this place currently looks like! Our room was made up one day and our remote somehow disappeared! There are several people in our party in different rooms and everyone says the same thing!
Steak soup, steak salad, steak steak. The renovated restaurant is awesome. Nice rooms, super close to MCI, and the staff is wonderful.
Had a great experience especially with the server/host. Victoria Johnson. She did an excalent job. Above and beyond. Made the experience that much enjoyable.
It's a good hotel. We had a late flight (2 am) and it was fairly easy to walk here from the airport (less than a mile). Great service. Very clean. Didn't offer hot breakfast like other Marriott's I've been to. Rooms are pretty small but decorated nicely.
Fantastic experience for a stay and conference. The rooms are great, service is fantastic and food at local restaurants is amazing.
Parking lot was clean. Appeared to be nice and quiet. Unfortunately I was only there to drop off a vehicle.
Decent hotel. Rooms facing the lake are away from the airport noise. In the middle of nowhere. The convenience of being close to the airport rarely outweighs the noise and the lousy location.
Older hotel but kept up nice. Restaurant is below average quality.
I have never stayed at a hotel where you were unable to control the temperature of your room. When I complained about it being over 75 degrees, their solution was to bring a fan to my room. The sink drain would not drain properly. Lastly, I am 6'4" and would hit my head on the light when taking a shower. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
This hotel is not up to usual Marriott standards. I was traveling with a large group for training and each of us had issues. The AC continually goes out and there are leaking ceilings throughout the hotel. Three of my colleagues had $ taken from there rooms. Only one was reimbursed. A manager completely blew off one colleague's complaint about the missing money. Fire alarms went off at 4:30 am and 5:30 am on two separate Sundays for no apparent reason. One gentleman had his car towed without his knowledge (he was not parked illegally). It got to the point of ridiculous by the end of three weeks. I will say that most staff was pleasant and did what they could to improve our stay and my room was impeccably cleaned everyday. I truly believe the problem is management or lack of. If you're looking for a Marriott experience, rethink this hotel.
Very nice employees. It definitely needs better sound isolation. I could hear the complete conversation of my neighbors. The new renovation looks great from a distance. The finish work was poorly done and looked bad. My bathroom door would not stay closed. The concierge lounge was very small.
I picked up a friend for dinner. The lobby was very clean and neat, and the concierge offered to ring my friends room.
This is a great hotel. It's clean, has nice amenities, and ample parking. You do get what you pay for, but considering the price I wouldn't call it a deal or an especially great value. It's good for what it is - a nice hotel.
The whole hotel has been beautifully remodeled. Justin, food manager, personally ensured our food was perfect. Great experience.
My first stay at this property was 30 years ago, and it appears that the manager filed to upgrade the HVAC during the recent remodel. As a lifetime Platinum, I recommend avoiding this property and stay at the Fairfield Inn down the street.
This was a great place to stay! Very clean and the staff was very friendly. We had an early (read 5 am) flight and as we were leaving the hotel, the man at the front desk gave our daughter a brand new stuffed animal to take with us on the plane ride. It made her day (and ours)! Highly recommend staying here!
Approximately $230.00 for one person, one night plus $20.00 for a 5 minute phone call to Carrollton Missouri from here in Kansas city Missouri mind you, I don't think I would return.
Got there and was put in the basement (lower level) not a real big deal, I'm ok with that. Get into my room and throw my stuff up on the bed to look out the window. All I get to see is a giant wall of another part of the hotel and a bunch of rocks (you know, since I'm in the basement, below ground level).
Whatever, I won't be spending much time in here, it's fine. Go over to my bed and by the bathroom wall, it's pretty cold over there. I jump up and feel water seeping into my socks now. I look around and see that there was a leak or an on-going leak happening that clearly has been there for a while because the carpeting up against the wall had been peeling off.
I call front desk and they say ok, we'll send an engineer down. They come down, move me to another room. Well, clearly housekeeping KNEW there was a leak and told no one. Thanks for that.
Wake up in the morning to go eat breakfast and I tell them I'm with a group for a meeting there. Lady taking me to my table says 'Ok! Great, I'll write it down!"
Alright...I sit down, and a waitress comes over to ask me if I want something to drink, I say no and get up to get my food. Finish everything and get ready to get up because, free breakfast and the waitress stops me and tells me I need to pay for my meal. Ok...well I was told breakfast was free soo...
Open the bill and it's $20...TWENTY dollars for an omelette and a couple pieces of sausage/bacon. What the freaking crap? Crappy hotel, I'll never be going there again. We WILL certainly go to Embassy Suites down the road though, as they were amazing.
Michelle at the bar is a good reason NOT to visit in the evening. It took 10 minutes just to order appetizers. Waaaaay too strong of a liquor taste to my Long Island. Hopefully the kitchen does better with my sweet potato fries and my asparagus.
I love it when I ask for certain accommodations and they fulfill them! Makes me feel welcomed and right at home.
Definitely not the cleanest hotel especially considering we are going through a pandemic right now. Checked in first room and went to bathroom to wash my hands and the faucet and mirror had water spots all over it like it hadn t been cleaned since the last guest. Noticed it on the shower door as well. Went to the front desk and Karen, how was very nice, got us in another room. Bathroom looked a little better but still noticed they cut corners in the room with mirrors and tv screen streaked. The light fixtures were dusty in both rooms. Thankfully we had some antibacterial wipes to clean wipe things down. Shouldn t have to do that in a hotel room.
Perfectly located, long hours available for airport shuttle, nice staff
Decent hotel nothing spectacular but nothing terrible about it either. The air control in the room was a bit strange and appeared to be controlled by the hotel. Sometimes able to only control heat other times only able to control AC. Hallway ceiling was really low too. Not a bad thing just peculiar.
Nice hotel, there were renovations going on when i was there
but i wish it was much closer to the terminals.
The hotel was very clean the employees were very professional an gave great customer service... I would definitely stay overnight again.. Close to shops an they even had shuttles to the airport...
Overall excellent! Kali was a great bartender, the food is awesome (try the steak soup) and the fitness center is top notch. Highly recommended!
We had a 3 day work conference. The place is nice and the staff is friendly.
Got there about 10 PM and the room was still available for us. Got the airport shuttle schedule. Then went to sleep. Very nice rooms
Since their renovation, this place is very nice. Clean, beautiful view with the water/pond/lake out back. Nice restaurant. It sure makes early flights easier to get to!
Great place. Especially if you have an early flight the next day.
The rooms look beautiful. They are doing some construction right now but if you can look past that it's nice. Can't beat a shuttle to the airport!
Great location minutes from the terminal. Beautiful facility.
Great place just a staff that was rude but other than that very convenient place and pleasant
Old and a little outdated....They are remodeling, so improvements are coming...I was not an overnight guest so I didn't see the guest rooms
Great amazing stay for the night and such a beautiful beautiful building!
It's a ways out from restaurants, et al., but a fine place to stay.
The renovation has been on going and is very inconvenient. The breakfast buffet was disgusting and overpriced. Service was poor because they apparently sent servers home. I feel bad for the one server that was stuck running around.
WARNING, NO FREE WI-FI! The staff from what I experienced, was very rude and thought too highly of themselves. They screwed up my reservation, and they don't even have a hot tub. This is just an overpriced airport hotel, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.
The event room was nice and clean. I didn't have any problems.
Just ate dinner at The Airport Marriott . The Dining Experience was Above Average . NICE .
Nicely updated rooms and lobby very comfy beds and pillows close to the airport
Amazing Marriott service. A great place to stay the night before an early morning flight.
Maybe a mixed review because of my timing. My room was extremely comfortable. But the hotel is under major renovation. If the renovation turns out as nice as the room, its an excellent business hotel.
Excellent restaurant, comfortable rooms, perfect location. Rooms and carpet are a little worn but are being renovated.
We attended Missouri Special Olympics State Games and the people at Marriott were so very accommodating. Great experience.
Very nice property with upscale bar and lounge and restaurant highly recommended
Overall it was fine. Don't get a room on the bottom floor.
My window had a view of rocks and a wall.
I kept my curtains closed the whole time bc I didn't get sunlight through the window anyway.
Last two visits here, I was assigned a room without functioning AC. This time, the room was also filthy...hair in the bathroom, spider nests in the drapes, dead worms on the floor....I mean ridiculously gross. I can't even take off my shoes.
After 2 hours or getting room service to re-clean my room, they sent two engineers to fix the AC. They found wiring in the ceiling that was "repaired" and never ever hooked back up. Then I had to request room service to clean up after the engineers mess.
Still the AC would not work so they moved me next door and gave me a 10 dollar voucher for the restaurant.
Unfortunately the room next door was also filthy and the process was about to start over. I gave up, cleaned the floor, pulled down the cobwebs and put a do not disturb sign on the door.
They just updated it, but it is a surface remodel. The doors still won't open to the outside, the patio is under construction and the cleaning staff is poor to say the least.
They have fancy new dressers and bathroom doors, but the mechanical items in this hotel are tired.
Friendly staff, amenities, and proximity to the airport make this location a no-brainer prior to an early flight!
The hotel was being remodeled so alittle messy. But the rooms were clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good.
The staff were great, the hotel is nice, the restaurant is decent and decently priced. They don't have included in-room wi-fi, so I would choose a different hotel.
Stayed here before a trip to Mexico. Very clean and the rooms were clean. The service at the Resturant was slow and took longer than it should have.
I had a really good experience here. They allowed us to check in early to two separate rooms and even upgraded my room since my original room wasn't ready for early check-in. Superb customer service at the front desk. Rooms exceeded expectations.
Great place. People at hotel were friendly. Food wasn't great for breakfast but was expensive. Rooms were nice and are being updated.
Nice staff. Decent rooms. Very poor water pressure.
I was in a meeting room only and we had the hotel cater lunch. Theu had very generous size portions and the staff was kind.
Staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice, there was an issue with the heat/ac not working (Although it was fixed the following day). The restaurant is excellent, however expensive. But so are most hotels at airports.
Temperature in the room was horribly hot, you couldn t turn the ac on to make it more comfortable. Tv was nice but 1/2 the channels didn t come in clear, and the bed....let s just say it s the worst nights sleep I ve had in a long time.
Bar and restaurant was. very nice..excellent staff with good service
The place is very beautiful! I love the employees in Marriot. They are so kind and helpful. I've met Carolyn McClure, Director of Sales and Marketing, who welcomed me to the Hotel. The Hotel is beautiful, peaceful and homefeeling. the staff are very kind and understanding. Carolyn, helped me in my planning for my anniversary. Im so happy i chose Marriot. My next anniversary, wherever it will be, I know that my number one choice will be Marriot. Thank you Carolyn!
Overall good experience. Beds a really really soft, not a lot of support
I was here for a chamber meeting. The food was very good, entertainment was great
Under construction but looks like it is going to be beautiful when done. The staff have been very pleasant
Everything was great, just got pricing a little mixed up. But they got it all fixed before ee checked out.
