We loved our time here! Location is great close to a lot of really fun things! There was plenty to do at the resort and nearby. Rooms are nice staff was friendly food was good and to the daycare was amazing! Worth absolutely every penny! The daycare workers were smart and fun and friendly and actually enjoy doing their job. They have an amazing indoor play place that puts any fast food joint to shame! It has rock wall climbing a movie area benches for coloring and building Legos and all sorts of things. They will watch your kids the entire evening for like 75 bucks each. They even feed them dinner!

At first, experience was good. Then shortly after soured. Poor customer service, way too over run with kids. Elevators continuously wet, our dinner reservation was canceled without communication. Seems like not enough employees for large holiday weekend. Poor planning and staffing on resort administration.

Jimmy was the best customer service you can ask for at a hotel. I ve stayed at this resort multiple times and he truly made a difference my stay. The hospitality from him was incredible and I highly appreciate his ability to be professional and personable at the same time - truly an art of hospitality!
(Also - great resort - highly recommend for a Austin staycation!)

Great place!! Staff was great...the security guy that came at us with a flashlight and demanded ID while in the hot tub was cool too...after he explained the situation with the neighborhood kids

Nice place to look at but terrible internet access for guests. 0.32mbps was the benchmark in a sample of 10 tests. To anyone who stays at this facility, do not expect anything. Kites fly faster than the internet speed here.

I have spoken to four or five different employees at the front desk trying to get them to EMAIL to me a copy of my receipt/statement.Still haven t gotten an email from my stay on 3-8 to 3-10.

We always enjoy our time here. The staff are great and the grounds are wonderful! They've been making some changes recently and they're paying off. We will continue to return here whenever we can.

The spa was my favorite part, but could have been better in the types of services provided--no laser hair removal, electrolysis, facial peels, nor lasers. I'm more interested in something with permanent results.

We showed up early and were able to check in before their normal time as they had a number of early checkouts. The front attendant was very helpful and kind. After checkout, it got worse.
They told us we had the "lake view" rooms, but as you can see in the picture. There is no view.

We were there to catch the tail end of the Balloon Festival which was supposed to run through the Sunday we arrived. The website and signs in the hotel all stated the festival would still he up and when we arrived they stated that was in fact not true.
Despite that, we filled the rest of the day with other events. We rode on the "Sunset cruise" which was not near sunset at all. 2nd, the captain allowed a child to drive the boat. Which would be great it the kid didn't constantly turn the boat and soak everybody on the boat multiple times. I get it, you may get wet on a boat. But not soaked, and not something that's listed on the "romantic" section of their website.
Lastly, the reservations I had made over a month ahead of time at the Yacht Club were canceled as they decided to not open on Easter after I made it clear when I made the reservations that it was a holiday and they'd be open.
Even ordering room service, 2 of the desserts we ordered were out.
Despite the cleanliness and courtesy of the employees, the money spent and 4 star resort were not deserved.

I wanted to like this place so bad. I really, really did.
I booked this as a mini honeymoon trip for my husband and I. The amenities on the website I looked forward to: the romance package with champagne and strawberries delivered to the room upon arrival, our spa day, the adults only hot tub, scenery and convienent shuttle service around the resort.
What I received: no champagne and strawberries (had to call to get it, was delivered an hour later), a sub-par spa with views of cars passing, a closed adults only hot tub and only one option of hot tub that was swarming with kids running around constantly, construction on every turn, and get this: the shuttle wouldn t come from the hotel to pick us up from the Yacht Club so a 16 year old employee took us in his boss messy car.....
I really don t understand how or why I am paying $2,000 for this stay and I am extremely disappointed in my honeymoon experience, which we can t get back.

*edit to include today s awful experience (we would be gone to La Cantera Resort if they let us cancel without taking more of our money)

They should be required to let you know when their is a convention here. There are tons of children running around the resort, on hover boards, downing pixi sticks, having free reign of the elevators, lobby, common spaces etc with no control or reprimanding. No adult supervision. They are probably 8-13 in age. It s been all morning (one had a COFFEE this morning...)
Then, I went to the market cafe to get sandwiches for my husband and I. The ladies checking me out continued to tell me they didn t have what I was asking for. So, as I thought of alternatives, they proceeded to take the order of the girl behind me instead, pushing me back in line....how RUDE! I then paid $30 for two sandwiches that have probably been sitting there for 2 or more days by the looks of it, two bags of chips and a small coffee. Did I mention that the other ADVERTISED lunch place here would be the pool bar, which is...you guessed it....closed. I feel so lied to.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RELAXING WEEKEND, please, PLEASE don t go here. I highly recommend La Cantera in San Antonio.

I came here as a guest to a social event and I have had a wonderful experience. I will say that the main bar and the bar at the pool is lacking in quality. Get something on the rocks and it's good enough. Just here for the view? Then you are more than set.

The grounds were very clean and well landscaped. The rooms are decent, nothing fancy and housekeeping does a great job but I sneezed the whole time. Our ac was leaking condensation into our closet and it's the loudest ac I've ever heard. Food here is pretty good and the amenities are great for a family of 4. Planned activities are a little thin. We tried to do a tye dyed t-shirt and they didn't have enough dye. Toys at pool were a few old noodles. Kids love the tortoises and birds. We used jet skis and paddle board and the marina has a great kids slide into the lake. We stayed in the Paseo Condo.

Really nice resort, absolutely beautiful. Both pools are great, the rooms are great. Not much is included with the initial price so it is pretty expensive and it only gets more expensive if you drink or eat there. There is, however, a really neat bar called Hole in One that's only a 4 minute drive from the resort that's nice and cheaper for good food and great happy hour drinks lol.

Average at best. Hoping that the stay will improve. If so I will update. Had breakfast at Lantana. Service was intermittent. Finally got the mimosas we ordered after we had eaten breakfast. We ordered the omelet and it was basically tasteless. On to the Yacht club pool has an "adult swim up bar area" which translates into a slab of concrete surrounded by underwater stools. You can't swim in the area as it it small and to get a beverage you have to get out and wander to the bar. On the off chance you can get a wait person to assist you the bartenders are so slow you may die of dehydration. Attempted to make a reservation for dinner at the Yacht club via the concierge but unfortunately they are closed on Sunday & Monday evenings.

The room itself has been renovated and is quite comfortable. We chose the executive suite for the view.

Fancy fancy. Elegant. All newly remodeled. Lots of places to eat. Kids activities. Well kniwn for golf courses. Private boat ride with a guide on the lake was reasonable and worth my time. Service was first class. Free golf cart or limo rides all over the resort. Beds we're especially plush linens and so comfortable. Very classy. Upscale. A Sandy Beach and tons of chairs are by the big yacht club pool. Open bar all the time. I enjoyed having coffee amidst the lovely tropical landscaping. No weeds in site anywhere. And no workers disrupting the atmosphere. Full stocked kitchens in the apartments. They are the best choice. They may be called cabanas? Lower floor was our choice. No stairs at all. Could park right by entry. Lots of activities scheduled for all ages. All types of water toys for rent. Upscale Marine store. Amidst upscale housing. Even has streets with an airport. Houses had private hangers. Very cool. Fun destinations within an hour drive for short tours. In peach, wine, and Bluebonnet country. Lots of fruit markets around and even you pick it farms. Area is just gorgeous. This resort is five star. Worth every penny. Go anytime of year

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL resort! We stayed there October 28-30, 2016.
Staff was great, dining was ok.....rooms are a bit dated but what will keep us from staying there again was how HORRIBLE the beds and linens are! We stayed for our anniversary weekend and paid over 300 per night and got no rest at all. Our weekend cost over 1K....not a cheap spot to stay. The mattresses are awful and the bedding is cheap and old. VERY disappointed! Definitely NOT resort quality! I spoke with a manager about it and she apologized and gave us a 100.00 credit. Big deal. I also filled out the survey they sent me after our stay and never heard anything from the management. Big disappointment for the money. We love Marble Falls and will stay at the new Holiday Inn next time we go up there. I had hoped that the resort would contact us and make it right but they did not.

Not a bad hotel - pricey comparatively speaking. Be weary of the additional resort fee - knocking one star for that. I always find this an unethical way of advertising a lower price. If all little fees are compulsory addons at check in, what's the point in separating it out. At the end of the day I have to pay it to the same facility and in my mind is my nightly charge.

The resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. J's is great and convenient. The putting course is gorgeous. Great activities for kids. I understand procedures during this pandemic, but making reservations for the pool and only being open during certain times has made it impossible for us to actually make it to the pool. We had reservations for each afternoon, but we have 2 young kids that still take naps and by the time we would wake up, our reserved time would be over. Miss the good ol days of being able to go to the pool whenever you are able to. I'll keep my review of the Yacht Club restaurant separate since that was the only negative of our entire vacation. I'll just say they have a lot of work to do there, for me to consider it fine dining.

Sad because its such a nice place and we've enjoyed numerous stays over the years. I
I was in the service industry for 20yrs. I saw so much wrong.............

I could think of a dozen things wrong or could be done way getter...
There seemed to be no captain of the ship so to speak.? Lots of staff people milling around or unsure of whatto do for guest..

Failing so short during a bad time econisocially and socially all while having adequate staffing is confusing to me.
Hiring only young inexperienced people is not helping your cause either. They simply needed better training or guidance.
Imho.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary last weekend and left disappointed with our stay here. We arrived around 4:30 which was after check in time, and our room was not ready. We were not able to check in until almost 6p. This was a huge inconvenience as we had to figure out what to do until our room was ready, this ruined the plans we had for the night. Given our late check in, we still had to check out by 11a. Not a great experience from a place that should provide that every time!

Absolutely loved this place!!! My now fiancee and I were there for new years and had a blast. From the time we booked our stay everyone was super friendly and helpful. We were even bumped to a junior suite which was really cool. Unfortunately the weather was cold and rainy so couldnt really enjoy the outside features of the resort. But wow this place is beautiful. J's restaurant located on the first floor was really good. We really enjoyed our stay here. What made it even more special is the fact i proposed to my girlfriend at the stroke of midnight. So obviously this place holds a special place in our hearts and definitely look forward to another stay.

Worse management I have ever experienced. The employees would be doing their jobs to the best of their abilities and the manager would tell at them in front of guest. They seem to always be out of supplies and the golf courses looked like a wreck.
