Rooms clean..arcade sucks.. need better dock fishing for guests

Decided to come on down for Labor Day weekend, my girlfriend and I were not disappointed. I'd been to this resort several years back, but had forgotten how beautiful this place is.

First off, we had so many options on activities and we don't even golf. Had an amazing time visiting near by Longhorn Caverns (highly recommended), laying by the beach at the Yacht Club and paddle boarding at the marina (their equipment can use upgrades).

The property grounds are immaculate, we highly recommend a stroll through their gardens... amazing. The food was amazing and the service overall was great, even though the resort was 100% booked, they were able to take good care of us and 1,000 of our good friends

Partially renovated. Room decor outdated. Lobby and restaurants more modern. Overpriced.

We originally were going to 4th of July weekend, however there were some technical issues that came up and our reservation had to get moved to the weekend after by mistake. Chris Davis took very good care of my party to ensure we could get everything moved and still have a wonderful experience despite of the date change. I was very impressed by all other staff members at the resort, and they took extreme measures to ensure safety was a priority while visiting the resort. We LOVED the Putt Putt course onsite and it's so much fun, with breathtaking views. The Marina and Spa were also amazing. Justin at the Marina in particular took the extra step to help us get a last minute wave runner rental and that was my favorite part of the trip! Chuy who served as at the Yacht Club pool was fantastic, and literally the best service I've had at a pool anywhere.

This place is awesome! A really great place to take your kids. Lots fun activities for the kids and adults. Customer service was excellent. It is pricey, but totally worth it. I stayed 3 nights and there were enough activities to do on property to keep my family and I busy all day on all 3 days. We also went to Longhorn Caverns which is about 15 minutes away, that was also a really cool place.

The Turkey lunch was so very good and plenty of it. The desserts were too delightful . Oh so good thank you. Made our Thanksgiving the best ever. God's blessings.

Horseshoe Bay was a pleasant surprise, finding this type of resort in the Texas Hill Country. The accommodations were nice and staff friendly.

2nd time visiting and I was even more impressed. Rooms are incredibly clean. Grounds are so striking, with water gardens that top any ive seen. The putting greens were very sophisticated and fun.

Cons: Paid for a 7th floor with a "hill country view" see attached photo. The building is under construction and it was difficult to sleep. We got moved to the "best room' and it looked like my first apartment in college and construction was even worse there. Ended up moving back to our original room. We were given a day pass to "the spa" which was basically a small greenhouse with a pool Food on property from the room service to the yacht club was like bad airplane food. The hotel is far from everything

Pro: The bed in the tower was very comfortable.

Absolutely breathtaking environments greeted with a sense of Texas hospitality from all service members. Truly an amazing place to visit and possibly drop anchor.

Service was great, amenities were amazing, overall great place to come to. Surely will be back again.

Nice resort but poorly managed restaurant. We have eaten here several times during our stay. The service is so slow. Each time well over an hour before the food comes with relatively few people in the restaurant.

Horseshoe Bay is our favorite family getaway! The recent renovations at the pool are a wonderful enhancement. Drinks, food and atmosphere are top notch. The sand area at the pool is full of kiddos in the summer and my son loves going between the pool and beach. When you need a more adult moment, there are nice restaurants and a beautiful view of the lake. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This resort was a really nice place to go on a work vacation. I have stayed at many of the highest rated hotels. All of the "snooty places" . I enjoyed this 4 diamond resort the best. The Texas hospitality was the difference. They never acted like they were doing me a favor and allowing me to stay there.

The room was clean and basic with a nice lake view. The resort is showing its age, so a lot of amenities are being remodeled. We were disappointed at how many extras were chargeable and not included in the room price

Rooms were very nice and clean. The grounds were gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Staff was very attentive and helpful. So many activities to choose from!

Exceptional resort property with many amenities. Excellent service from the restaurant staff. Food was good but not great.

Great place to stay, relax enjoy the surroundings, the lake, it has something for every family member and includes a lovely Japanese garden as its own hidden gem.

Beautiful resort. Great staff. Wish I had more time to enjoy the amenities. Pool and hot tub at the Yacht Club are stunning with gorgeous water views! The villas are spacious. Great for a family. Wonderful location for a work event. Don't miss checking out the birds near the putt putt course. I would definitely visit again!

Underwhelming and overpriced for what you get. Definitely won t be going back, but can at least say most of the customer service we received was of good quality.

So far everyone is very friendly and informative that helps when when your an out of stater...

It is a place like none has rooms for parties, meetings of all kinds and I attended a wedding at the best country style ... the friendly and helpful people there is a lot of detail in everything they do to please the customer to keep the sense of Attention the food is very good with extraordinary smoked impressions in everything they offer ....

What an excellent experience!!!!! The staff on Saturday night at front desk was just out of this world kind and polite. After covid canceled our wedding, we randomly took an aimless drive and landed here. Could not have been a better experience simply because of the staff and comfortability!!!

The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurants were pretty good. I loved the cherry Manhattan at Lantana and the quesadilla burger at the golf club's grill. My only food complaint would be that my steak at the yacht club kind of burnt on the outside, which messed with being able to enjoy the bernaise. The rooms in the hotel were a bit out of date, but clean and comfortable. Also, we enjoyed getting to chat with Cindy about the birds! We wished the hammock yard had more hammocks (there was only one), and that there weren't so many bugs around it.

Great place to eat after a round of golf. Very well manicured resort environment.

It is very gorgeous and the staff are really helpful.

Very beautiful location overlooking LBJ lake lake. The grounds are well kept and there is plenty to do within the resort.

My favorite getaway. Lantana restaurant is great. Great customer service all around. Putt putt, zin garden, exotic birds, yacht club pool of the lake. Hotel pool. Peaceful and relaxing. Didn't get to try the spa.

No other place like it in the deep, real Hill Country

Beautiful place, needs bigger pool and 20.00 for a burger is just stupid and greedy.

The apartments are very cosy and comfortable. Heated pool and jacuzzi are open till 10 pm and you can enjoy it irrespective of the weather. You can spend time in the mini golf course and enjoy the artificially created natural surroundings to the maximum. A great place to holiday with family! Food too is great especially the breakfast buffet

The place is nice, lots to do, and during this crazy time (Covid-19) everyone seemed to be abiding by the mask rule so I felt fairly safe.

Here is my one complaint - if you like peace and quiet - DO NOT GET A ROOM BY THE POOL! The music is obnoxious and will quickly ruin any thoughts of relaxing.

Stay was great. Restaurant was okay, food quality doesn't match the price, but it was good.

The renovation they are doing on the resort is great, it s beautiful now. The pool is nice, there is a lot of seating and a kids pool. They are still figuring it out a little with the staff, and doing more construction. But it was nice and new.

I attended a wedding at horseshoe Bay and can say it was the most beautiful ceremony and reception I have been to. Everywhere you turn is wonderful architecture, grounds keeping, and style. The staff was always helpful and prompt. Would absolutely recommend!

Nice place. Staff friendly. Only criticism was very limited cuisine options. Could not find a burger or Mexican food options. We are in Texas..... The food was good but I prefer a menu that is not overly weighted towards Italian.

The pool bar was great! The pina colada was delicious, but the margarita could use a little work.

Rooms were clean. Front desk conveyed an attitude you would find at two start hotels for all four days that we stayed. Room service took an hour and a half (we ordered chips and salsa, and a sandwich). Dry cleaning was dropped off at 7:30 in the morning for same day service. It took two days to get back.

Pretty amazing resort. Great staff. Beautiful grounds. Just so many things to do there.

We came for the TMPA conference and stayed in the villas. I will not be coming back and wouldn't recommend it. It's pricey and wasn't what I expected.

I had ants in my room, there was a cockroach in the main living area, and had other small bugs crawling around the tables. The food is OKAY, but it's overpriced. To give you an idea, I bought a large pizza and a sprite and paid $25!

I gave it three stars because the landscaping is really nice and the hotel staff were friendly.

They couldn't have treated my wife and I better when they found out it was our anniversary. Beautiful and relaxing

Inadequate staffing in only dining room. Remodeling with jackhammers all day. Newly renovated rooms without phone, hairdryer, clock, desk chair, iron or ironing board.

Rooms need updating. Also it's not attached to Yacht club (which all the website pics portray as the hotel). Spa is mediocre as well.

Beautiful grounds, staff were attentive and corrected mistakes quickly. Walking to your vehicle at night should be done at your own risk. I was nearly ran over by a marked horseshoe SUV.

We came here for the pools and activities for the little ones. Pools are a little better than any nice hotel. The lunch menu and drinks are typical, same goes for their prices. The lakeside pool was larger but more for adults. Staying at the villa with a pool and gym was very convenient. Teens, adults and couples would enjoy this place.

Went there on a business trip and LOVED IT! A LITTLE PIECE OF PARADISE that I didnt know existed! Needless to say I'll be back for my birthday weekend! It was so peaceful it was just wonderful!!!

Very nice resort with things to do for every age group, especially if you like to be one with nature. I'd like to go back and visit with my family. It was great for a business retreat though.

A beautiful place. We had a family reunion here and rented a lovely apartment. It was fantastic!

We stayed at this great resort for four days because I won a sales award and we are so glad Comcast chose this resort as the destination place. We rented some Jet Skis, got a massage and played some golf at the miniature golf course and had a blast doing all of them.

The room was clean and the pillows and bed were very comfortable. The two queen beds had plenty of space around them for a family of four and we had a great view of the pool as well.

We were treated very well by staff and accommodated very quickly in all our requests especially from Brandy Shipman who was a delight and someone my wife now calls a friend. She was always cheerful and accommodating and went above and beyond on all things during our stay.

We didn t get a chance to get on the big golf course due to this being a family outing but I m sure that was amazing as well. I highly recommend this resort for anyone wanting to enjoy a great golf game or just get away with the family.

Beautiful Resort. Many Lake amenities. Amazing beds, super friendly staff, wonderful food, heated pool, great fitness center, many free events. Perfect location. Military friendly. Absolutely stunning grounds. If you're needing a hotel on Lake LBJ, this is the place.

Amazing golf courses. We stayed in the waters and the condo was fantastic. Staff a little disorganized across the board but very friendly and went out of their way to fix things. Overall a great experience.

Nice place to come and relax, beautiful gardens western and Japanies garden, peefect for walking around and enjoying yourself with the other half.

Nice resort. Great restaurants. As a guest, these folks asked me to take pictures for them of two of their Thanksgiving events in exchange for a credit. Then they stopped returning calls and went back on their commitment to me. I was a guest too, who took my family there for 3 years at Thanksgiving time. Disappointing that they would do this to a guest who was their with a lot of family. I certainly won't be back and would warn people to be cautious about some of the people working there. It was certainly a mistake on my part to take them at their word, but it sure won't encourage me to head back there.

Plenty of places for family fun, very clean and service is very hospitable
