Have purchased 3 cars from Hoover Toyota over the years. Buying process has always been up front and straight forward. Service Dept seems to be lacking at times though. Brought my 2008 Toyota Sequoia to them for a cranking issue..after telling me nothing was wrong with it, and charging me $49.95 to tell me nothing was wrong with it, car continued to have cranking issues. Took to another shop, was diagnosed as needing a fuel pressure sensor..after replacing the sensor I have had no more issues. I honestly don't think they even attempted to re-create my issue...very disappointing..
5/10/2019 went back with my wife s 2016 highlander, they redeemed themselves...showed up with no appointment, they replaced axle under warranty and car was ready is less than 3 hours. Well done.

Bought my truck out of state but I come here for scheduled factory maintenance. Had an experience last week where some work was supposed to be done but it was missed in the final inspection before they handed over the keys. This isn t a complaint post about that, instead I was really impressed with how they handled it. Instead of a series of excuses the tech came out and apologized directly and owned up to missing the bit of information on the work order and immediately went about correcting it. It s nice to know that the people here are trustworthy and honest. Would recommend this dealership to any Toyota current or future owners.
All of the staff were very nice and accommodating. My oil change and inspection was quick and everything came out fine. I was very pleased with the service.

Bought 3 cars in two years from Hoover Toyota, and because we expect these cars to last us a REALLY long time, we don t see the need to go back anytime soon. But should the need arise, it will be the first place we go. I had other dealerships tell me all the things that they couldn t do, the Hoover sales team told us what they could do, and delivered. Kevin and Lee were awesome, and Richard in the financial department delivered the goods.

When I arrived, the person that greeted me, told me to sign two electronic forms without explaining what was on those forms.
It was hidden behind the signature pad. I requested an oil change.
After an hour of waiting, I was told I could use a cabin filter replacement, and a tire patch. I approved the tire patch. It took another hour to do this. Why were they inspecting my vehicle when it was taking this long in the first place?
When I went to pay, I was asked to sign three documents, each with the same agreement disclaiming any and all warranties on their work. This agreement was deceptively on the same document where the charges were written as if to indicate you cannot authorize payment without agreeing to waive any complaints you have to their work. I refused to sign after paying.
I will never return to this dealership ever again. I have never had to sign that much garbage at any other Toyota dealership.
Ernest was great! I didn't exactly leave with the car I wanted (due to the higher monthly payment) but he found me the same color and model with a few less options to make it within my budget. They even brought it in from Panama City. Jason put together a great package for me too and found a bank to work with my retirement income. I'd definitely recommend you buy a car here. This was a great car buying experience.
Hoover Totota has been taking care of my 11 year old Prius since the day I bought it. Always friendly and efficient. I am very pleased with their work and plan to let them nurture my Prius for as long as it lives.
Workers there are very nice, but everything in the service building is very over priced. I paid over $400 for a door handle install. A door handle. I personally feel like that price is very high

Our salesman, Sheldon, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the available cars and their features, but he didn't try to push us toward something we didn't want. Everyone with whom we interacted at the dealership was friendly, but not "pushy."

First of all, the service adviser people are nice. I don t know where the ball drops, but the actual service of my vehicle sucks. I have never waited here for under 3 hours. They claim to top off my fluids, but my windshield wiper fluid was not topped off for 3 service visits. On the fourth, I finally said something and it got done thanks to a service adviser named James. Thank you, Mr. James.
Not topping my fluids is fine, but don t write that you did something when you didn t.
One occasion, I waited over 3 hours, happened to see my car parked out front, set a timer, and waited another 45 minutes before anyone came and gave me my keys. After multiple failed attempts to find someone to get my keys. On another, I had a 0600 appointment, no one showed up to the service department until after 0800. No email, text, call saying they d be starting late.
On my most recent adventure here, I had a nail in my tire. Come to find out it was in the same tire I had patched here previously; 2 tire rotations before. If my tires were rotated properly, rearward cross for a 4WD, the original holy tire would have been in the front driver position, not the front passenger position.
After I was told I needed a new tire, I had to bring my car back the next day. I presented this information to the manager upon dropping it off and he claimed he d find out what was going on and get back with me. No call. 6 pm rolls around and no one has called to tell me my car is ready. I go to see if I can get it, my car hasn t even been touched, no one is there for me to rent a vehicle, and I am stuck without my house keys (because they re with my car keys and I have never left my vehicle for an overnight repair) or a way to work in the morning.
Needless to say more. I will no longer be servicing my vehicle here. More than 3 strikes is enough.
ADVICE IF YOU KEEP GOING EVEN THOUGH THEY SUCK: mark your tires, check your fluids and oil after visits, and plan a whole day or two around your servicing. Otherwise you ll be stuck with a, We re sorry. Here s a free oil change. That probably won t even be done right either.
I brought my corolla to Hoover Toyota and informed the service technician that my radio was broken. The service tech was very kind and working hard. He told me the service would take about 2 hours. 3 hours later he came to inform me that my radio was broken...... I KNOW, this is why my car and I are at the Toyota service center... 30 minutes later - 6:30- I m the last person waiting and the dealership is closing. Someone came to check me out, explained that I would need a new radio (obviously). I spent 3 and a half hours at Toyota and was charged 50 dollars for them to tell me that my radio was (still) broken. Very annoying... darn.

Very disappointed in the service and staff here. I brought my car in for a recall to be fixed. Upon picking up my car I found they had picked up my dirty floor mat and it dumped dirt and rocks all over my cup holders. They then set the dirty mat on my teal colored car seat in the back and got my floor carpet dirty since they moved my mat. I decided to let it slide and shook off the mat, replaced it, and drove away. About a quarter mile down the road I realized my dash cam was off. It s set to turn on when the car is on so I assumed they accidentally unplugged it from the back of the cigarette lighter while they were doing their maintenance. I brought the car back and asked them to fixed this, also mentioned that they got dirt all over my car. They weren t very apologetic but took my car back. After about 10 minutes they came to me and said they didn t know how to fix it but it wasn t their fault. I told them it had never had an issue until they took my car apart and that they would need to fix this issue. They asked who installed the camera to which I answered Best Buy. They said again this was not their fault and I should see if Best Buy could fix it. I said no problem, but Toyota will need to pay that Best Buy bill since they broke it. The tech walked away and returned with his managers card telling me to have Best Buy call her. I almost left and realized if I did I would never hear from Toyota again and would be stuck with the Best Buy bill. I came back and asked for the manager who managed to get them to take my car apart yet again and finally fix my dash camera as should have been done in the first place. Not much of an apology was made as they stand by not unplugging it although there s no possible way for me to have unplugged something behind my dash. I don t mind that they made a mistake I just wanted them to own it and fix it. Also, since they didn t actually clean my car after getting dirt everywhere I went home to vacuum my car. At this point I didn t plan to write a review until I looked on my passenger floor and found a straight razor laying there. I have dogs and children that could have been injured by this, I could have even been injured. Will not be back.

My in-laws had an expensive job done on my wife's Highlander, but our clan failed to keep a record of all the specifics. Anyway, I ended up going in and inadvertantly asking for a repeat job to be done a few months later. In the process of doing the unnecessary repeat job, Matthew Contorno at Hoover Toyota realized what was going on.
Matt had the job completed and persuaded the manager not to charge me. As a result, Hoover Toyota absorbed hundreds of dollars and hours of labor on my behalf. If Matt would've decided not to say anything at all, I may have never even realized that we wasted the money.
I was deeply encouraged by Matt's honesty. I won't forget the moment when he patted me on the shoulder and said, "Merry Christmas." $500 means a whole lot to me as a 24-year-old husband/part-time pastor/full-time graduate school student.
My experience at Hoover Toyota was excellent. I worked directly with Greg Oliver and he was extremely helpful by finding the exact model and configuration that I wanted. This review is regarding the Hoover Toyota Service Department.
Took my 2004 Matrix in for a 2nd airbag recall fix, along with another recall , I believe it was the airbag sensor assembly. Dropped it off, everything great, went back to pick it up the next day and when I started the car the airbag light came on on the dash. I started to back out thinking it would go off, but it didn't. I drove about 100 ft to another parking place in front of the service bay and went in to find my service manager, Jonathan. He came out with a technician and they took the car around to the back to check it. About 35 minutes later , he came out and told me that the airbag light and the codes had nothing to do with the recall fix that was done but was on the other side and was a "terrible coincidence". Found out that the fix would cost around $700 for the part and labor. I was told that driving it was dangerous because driver side airbag would not deploy and the horn wouldn't work because there was an electrical problem associated with the codes. Went ahead and took it home because they were closing. My husband called Toyota Corporate on Wednesday and they kicked it back to Hoover Toyota, who did call on Thursday to let us know they were "reviewing" the matter and would let us know within 24-48 hours if they would fix the problem. No call back. Reached out to Corporate again on Tuesday afternoon, and they couldn't get hold of customer service at Hoover Toyota and had to leave a message asking them to call us. I called Corporate again today because we still hadn't heard back and after 2 calls they finally talked to Laura and Steve at Hoover Toyota who said they would call me. And they did. According to them it is all just a coincidence that has nothing to do with anything they did in fixing an airbag and airbag sensor recall because the problem is with the driver's side airbag and electrical, specifically the spiral cable. Outcome: not their responsibility even though the vehicle had no warning lights, no codes prior to their technicians working on it, and that I should understand that it is an old car. I ended up hanging up because all Laura did was talk in circles (Steve never spoke). I guess the idea is if they give you the run-around and wait you out eventually you will give in and let them make the "repair".
Unlikely that we will take our 3 Toyota vehicles to them for anything in the future.

Took my car in because it had trouble starting. Turns out it needs a new battery, which they charged over $300 to install, and they pushed some engine flushes that it looks like didn t need to be done. Now I m out $650. What a crooked group.
I have a 17 Corolla with close to 200,000 miles on it and have only gone to Toyota dealerships for servicing. They ve ALL treated me right and taken great care of us, with Hoover being my most-frequented location. Shan and the guys were especially awesome this time, getting me back in my car with four new tires and a brand new wheel (after a huge chunk of firewood and I had a small altercation on I-20 the evening before) in less than about three hours, including shuttling me back and forth to my house so I could wait there. Highly recommend. Thanks, guys!

Received a new timing belt/water pump service replacement. They completed it, in about a day and a half. A day or so later, the a/c belt squeeled on crank, so I called ahead and let them know about it, where then they offered to fix the problem free of charge. They quoted me a two hour fix and had it completed within an hour. Would recommend their services again.

During my visit Hoover Toyota, I was really pleased with the service center. There is complimentary coffee and water and the waiting area which I really appreciated. I brought my car in for its routine maintenance and when it came back it looked like it had been washed. All in all it was a good visit.

I also had a great service tech., Barry, who diagnosed any problems that may be lurking in my vehicle.
I don't know how it works in the service department but when I left, with a newly, aligned vehicle, my Lexus floated like a dream!
