Even giving Airwest one star is too many. First let me start by saying after spending about 10, 000 dollars on central air, you would think I would have a cool home during the warm weather.....WRONG!! The only room that gets cool is the living room....this is what 10 thousand dollars gets you with this company!! Then they didn't finish my insulation in my attic....that was a mission to get someone out to finish. This week my husband called for a service regarding the system not cooling. Well the day of our appointment, I took off work so we could have our system worked on and we get a call 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment that they have to cancel because they have a commercial account that needs their immediate attention. So basically their commercial accounts are high priority and screw the residential accounts. Take your business elsewhere, worse decision I ever made was hiring these clowns.

I had Airwest replace my aging heating system. The installation included a new furance, new duct work and a whole house fan. We are extremely happy with the new system. Dave was a pleasure to work with and is very knowledgable. The installation went very smoothly. Compared to the other bids I received, Airwest was extremely competitive .

Airwest perform a great job of replacing our HVAC units. They replaced the condenser outside, the forced air unit in the attic and all the registers. They did it in one day leaving everything very clean once completed.

Used Air West for an install 2 years ago. It was trickier than usual install and they did a good job.
We needed an electrical line with a conduit run and Dave suggested his go to electrician. We did not care for the electrician's work as he drilled a hole in flooring that would not allow a straight line of conduit to go through the ceiling.
Since our install I have recommended Airwest to colleagues and friends and everyone has said good things about Airwest and their service. One thanked me for a "solid" referral.

They reached out to me after receiving my info on home advisor and had left a message. I then followed up and called the after hours phone number and left a message but I got no response the entire day. Guess the job wasn t worth getting. I originally gave 1 star, but decided to change it to 2. I m huge on customer service and treating my own clients as if they were friends and family. But to call someone and then not returning my call (I called same day, 20 minutes later) for an entire day gave me that I just want to make commission off you type of feel. So my review is based off that alone and not their services.

Used to work here before I moved out of state, great people, and was alot to learn from, been 3 years sense, and I've went into refrigeration service and installing. Running pipe setting cases, but still remember airwest, great company

I have continually tried contacting Dave Dretzka, who is the apparent owner of the company. He does not pay his outstanding debts, and I find him to be a great disappointment as a business owner. He is active in his church and I would think that would matter. It really is too bad that a businessman behaves in such an unprofessional and cowardly manner. Steer clear of this company. There are many honest companies out there, Dave's is NOT one.

The customer service girl named Carla was so rude to me and unhelpful when I asked about certain plans. I know airwest itself isn t a bad company, but you guys need to check Carla and her nasty attitude

One year ago, August 2017 I decided to upgrade my over 30 years old Payne AC unit and I had three companies quoting for the job. Dave with Airwest made a good impression, extremely knowledgeable, and his quote was the best as well, budget wise.
April 12, 2018 I made appointment for them to come and replace it and within almost three hours they were done. Nice, neat and clean job, very polite and careful working (inside replacing the coil above the furnace) as well as outside with the new condenser.

Friday, June 8th, 2018 I experienced a little problem with the new AC unit and emailed Dave @ 7:30 PM. Monday morning I had Chris come and within minutes he troubleshoot the problem and provided solution.

Since then until now, September 2018, I enjoyed a nice and cool house and had no problem during the recent heat wave we've experienced.

Communication with company was good, service was good and so far I am grateful for their work and recommend them.

One of your workers almost crashed into us while making a right onto La mirada this afternoon at around 1:45 pm today. When we got next to him he looked in his late 30s-40 years of age Hispanic and was talking on the phone while driving. Terrible.

After talking with several HVAC companies my husband and I decided to go with Airwest. We liked Dave and he seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. We didn't have central air in our house, so we had to get the duct work replaced, a new furnace, and an air conditioner. When they were all done and it was time to plug in the AC unit, it was discovered there was a problem with our electrical panel. Dave recommended we replace it, but said there was a work around and he would have his guy come out to give us a bid and do the work around so that we could at least get our AC running. He also asked for the final payment since they had completed the work. Like an idiot, I trusted him and gave him the final payment. I waited a few days to hear from him or the electrician and didn't hear anything. Then I called him, and 3 days later I had not heard back. I called again and 2 days later still hadn't heard back. I called him a third and fourth time and never heard from him. He got his money, why care if I have a shiny new air conditioner I can't use and its 94 degrees outside.

David finally got back to me and they fixed it so we can use our air conditioner. So now I am a happier customer with a cool house.

Dave is very responsive and his pricing is great. We showed up on time and provided an estimate same day. Him and his crew was professional and very knowledgeable. They took down old duct work In our warehouse and installed all new duct work. They did a great job protection the work area, minimizing distruption during work hours. We are very happy with overwall service and product.

1 year ago our waterline was clogged and replaced, because it was 1year and 2weeks after our warranty they required we pay to replace it again. In one year the price had doubled from $100 to $200 for the same job. These bastards make up there prices as they service from call to call. Also when he was very unfriendly and said he had a lot of jobs todo that day he didnt have time to discuss price with his office and said that we should pay the $200 or he will leave right away leaving us hostage to their price inflating tactics... please stay away from these bastards..

Air west were quick and responded well to our call when our heating system failed.

I used Airwest to evaluate my air conditioning system before it got hot this past summer. They were the most professional air conditioning and heating service I have ever used. The technician took the time to explain everything to me, didn't try to sell me some thing I didn't need and replaced the filter for free. I highly recommend Airwest for your air conditioning and heating needs.

I recently had a new furnace and air conditioning unit installed in my home. My wife and I are very please with the unit they recommended and the timely installation. We had a very challenging job as we have a low pitched roof (orginally a rock roof) on a home built in 1955 making access to ducts almost impossible due to lack of crawl space. They contracted removing old ducting and installing a new 200 amp electrical box at an affordable cost that was better than other firms. They also coordinated with HERS testing and city inspections (a lot of companies like to avoid this part). The installation crew was top notch. The tech support guys were equally excellent in addressing a couple issues that were resolved. Thanks to the excellent investigation and analysis of Dave (top installer) he was able to determine why we were not getting adequate airflow into 2 rooms that were additions. Turns out that when ducts were installed for the addition (25 years ago) they were not connected properly. Airwest corrected the problem for both rooms. The only issue I had was getting followup info and calls from Joe and Dave when they said they would. I found myself calling them to get status, upon which they were very responsive. The crews showed up on time as scheduled. I recommend AirWest to anyone looking for value on airconditioning or heating needs .
