We have been going to Honda Universe for the last ...

We have been going to Honda Universe for the last 15 years or so and have had amazing service and care every step of the way! We have purchased probably 10 - 12 cars over that time and most recently purchased 3 cars this past summer for me and our 2 sons. Our salesman Steve, and especially the sales manager John McGraw, literally treated us like family. John is incredibly personable and ensured that everything was smooth and easy. Great cars and great deals! We do not even consider another dealer when looking to purchase our cars.

We also use Honda Universe for maintenance on our vehicles and enjoy the same high level of care. Special thanks to Bob for always looking out for us.

It is my pleasure to give Jessica and Honda Universe a great rating because they gave such great service. They delivered everything that they said they would and more! When the deal was complete Jessica was still telling me more things that were included with my car. Steve, the manager, helped with the pricing, and he was nice as well (and pretty funny). This dealership operates with warmth and integrity. By the time my transaction was complete, I felt like I made new friends. They even had great coffee! I am actually looking forward to going back when my license plates come in. Oh, did I mention that I LOVE MY HONDA? Awesome awesome experience. I myself work in the car business so when it comes to looking for a new car I want to make sure none of my time is wasted. I contacted many Honda dealers and got the run around. I was fed up until a friend of mine referred me to Danny. Needless to say Danny was the nicest upfront guy. gave me everything I wanted in minutes plus more. My husband walked into the showroom the very next day, Danny had the car cleaned and ready for him. Let's just say my husband was out of there in less then 90 minutes with his beautiful new SI! Thank you so much again Danny! I will certainly be sending him tons of referrals after everything he did!

My girlfriend just recently leased a Honda from Honda Universe and I just have to say the experience couldn't have been any better! Rahsaan was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience a cakewalk. John continually followed up with her through out the process and made sure her experience was the best it could be and it really was. Thank you to both Rahsaan and John for making her first car buying experience the best, she will definitely be coming back for another!

We had a great experience dealing with the whole team at Honda Universe
Coming in with some credit issues, we needed help and patience to get us into a vehicle we could get approved for, and be able to afford. Michelle showed us a number of cars that were within our range and Nick found a way to work out the deal so we walked away with everything we wanted. We never felt like they were just going through the motions and we were confident they would do whatever they had to do to get us in a brand new car. We even enjoyed sitting down with Ozzy in the finance dept.
Everyone we dealt with was personable and friendly
We would recommend Honda Universe to anyone looking for a new, used or leased car

Our experience purchasing our car was amazing. Christina was great and got us exactly what we needed. But the service department has not been as great. We had a DVD player put in after we purchased the van and it has been nothing but a debacle. They messed up our appointment time, gave us a DVD player that s not even close to matching my interior. My husband had to take 1 1/2 off to deal with this bc we live an hour away. Nothing has been done to compensate us for all the time we ve spent dealing with this. I definitely won t be recommending bringing your car to the service department at Honda Universe.

First off I want to start by saying the only helpful and nice person at Honda was fianancr manage Cynthia Cubero. My husband went in to buy a car and Karlos Merrick helped him they negotiated and came to terms on a price, unfortunately I was not there and had to go back over the weekend to file paperwork since the car is under both of us. Karlos was extremely dismissive and any question I asked him he kept telling he would go over it at the end once I signed the paper work with Cynthia. I like I was treated completely unfair because I am young and a women. I went back and forth with both Karlos with I'm assuming was the manager on duty Nick Salerno on why the price of the car changed and why nobody wanted to give me any answers for my questions. They kept telling me that when my husband came back they would explain things to him. I was not going to take that I finally got answers and got the price back down to what original agreement was. Long story we still had to back and we explained to James Fredrick that going there was a very long ride and expensive in gas and tolls if there was any way possible they can ship the license plates he said YES!. Fast forward to a couple weeks and we get a call that they can longer ship the plates to us anymore. Ugh it's very frustrating and very unfair for them to say something and not follow through with it. Anyways if I was you and was shopping for a car I would NEVER recommend this place.

Just bought my 2017 Honda Accord from Honda Universe. I have been a long time Nissan customer and I have to say I love my new Honda. And my salesperson Rahsaan was awesome and well informed and made sure I had a good experience and was very reassuring! And my finance person(sorry I forgot his name -_-) was awesome and answered any and all questions I had. I love the confidence he had to get me a good interest rate. Do not go there. Not a good experience... They tell you something and you trust them for nothing, you will lose your time if you go there. Dealer ask you to pay, but if the dealer has to give money back for example they don't care. They have a mediocre system. They give you words without proof of refounds or they give you word something will be for you on a day and when you go there, you wait hours for just excuses

I have been searching for cars on the internet. I...

I have been searching for cars on the internet. I came across a car that I liked and the price was good. However, prices on the internet are misleading because they do not reflect a prep fee which is a bait and lure tactic. That fee added nearly 1200 to the price of the car. Obvousbly when I hear this I am upset bc it was a hidden charge. I proceed to leave the dealership and receive a call stating they would remove the charge. What bothers me is they are acting like they are doing me a favor when in fact they deceived me into coming to the dealership and wasting hours of my time. I am in the service industry and I would never hide a charge like that from an advertised price. I am very disappointed with Honda and the time I wasted visiting their dealership.

The showroom sales department and managers are awful. You walk in there and you get icy stares. No welcome, no costumer service. Especially the manager James Frederick (and I think it was also Nick Salerno or Danny...not sure as they refused to give their names). I would stay far away and give the business to a place that acts like they want it. The service department on the other hand, is GREAT.

I walked into Honda Universe of Lakewood expecting the same salesman style of smile and jargon but instead I was met at the door by Mr. Kyle Crawford, salesperson, who actually had a genuine smile. That was the beginning of what turned into one of the most pleasant purchasing experiences I have ever had. Kyle had me meet the financial manager, Pat who could not have been more sincere, honest and personable. It was a true pleasure to honestly negotiate with these two gentleman who from the beginning I knew actually had my best interests at heart. Pat has the ability to make you feel that he is on your team and no matter what it takes he will do it if it means you walking out a satisfied customer. And that is exactly what I am as I drive my new Honda Civic LX. The price was more than fair but it was the attitude of the staff at Honda Universe that made such an impression on me. They were and are the best!!!!! Kyle, Pat and Carolyn are awesome. I highly recommend this dealership to any and all who want a fair deal, fair price and then to leave with a smile on their face.

I am extremely satisfied with the service I experienced at Honda Universe and our salesman John McGraw is responsible for that. I went to this dealership with my boyfriend in hopes of finding him a great car. When we got there we went to John McGraw and he helped us figure out which car is the best for him and the best payment plan for the car. Once we found the right car we were worried that we would have to make huge payments monthly but John worked with us so that would not happen. He showed us other cars and payments just in case we could not get a loan that would fit our financial limit. Even though the process was long, he was by our side the whole time! I am very pleased with the customer service that we received and I will definitely recommend this salesman and dealership to my friends and family!

My daughter leased both of her Hondas at Honda Universe--first she got an SUV, then recently a van. I was with her both times, and both of those times she was helped by Mr. John McGraw, who was very friendly/courteous, and answered all my daughter's questions to her satisfaction. My son-in-law was also pleased, so he, too, leased a new CRV for himself! When it's time for me to lease or buy, I'm going straight to see John because I know first-hand that I can trust him to help me too.

I purchased a car from honda about 2 months ago and everything was great, great customer service. But the day i picked my car up, the sales man named George aka Famous told me to bring bk the gas recipt n i would be refunded because the car was literally on E i never got refunded as promised. Also there were 2 bad bald tires on the car George aka Famous promised me that i would have 2 new tires well its 2 months later and i have no new tires. This man told me to call him last sunday for my tires and i did n he again sent me to voicemail. So yesterday 3/5/2019. I texted his phone telling him how unprofessional he is. He responded with a lol and SAID do what i want because i dont even remember his name. So MR GEORGE AKA FAMOUS THINKS IT OKAY TO LYE TO A CUSTOMER JUST BECAUSE HE THINKS I DONT REMEMBER HIS NAME. I HAVE PROOF OF ALL HIS PROMISES AND HE STILLED JUST SENT ME THE LOL N I HAVE PROOF OF THAT ALSO.. ALL I WANT IS WHAT US OWED TO ME AND THATS MY NEW TIRES . SO MR GEORGE AKA FAMOUS I WISH YOU WOULD MAKE GOOD AND KEEP YA WORD. YOU ARE MAKING HONDA LOOK VERY BAD AS NOBODY WANTS TO DEAL WITH A LIER.. So today is march 22nd and im still waiting on tires from honda that i was promised. This may not seem so important to other ppl or honda but i have to drive my children around hoping that i dont have a blow out or something. As i spoke with this manager guy i feel like they are just giving me the run around. This is not fair at all. I will be posting pictures of the tires. I'm going to purchase my own tires i dont think i should have to but to keep me and my kids safe thats what i have to do because the man that sold me the car n promised me 2 new tires is a lier and apparently honda thinks its ok to allow their sale ppl to sale a car with bad tires and allow their sales ppl to LYE TO THE CUSTOMER.. Even though I didn t purchase a vehicle at Honda, the attitude and personality my sales rep had was unparalleled. During the process, I felt comfortable and at ease with Tommy as he was very kind and I could tell his intentions were to help me out as best he could- very rare with car salesmen in general, especially in my experience. All I can say is WOW! I cant begin to tell anyone how satisfied I am with my experience at Honda Universe, I feel my salesman Paul Dugan really took my needs into consideration and got me a better deal than any of the other four Honda dealerships I visited, he really made me feel like family and I will no longer be purchasing a car from anyone else except Paul Dugan. The Manager Glenn Swenson was very easy to deal with and super friendly, the duo made my overall experience unmatchable by any other dealership. I love my new Honda Accord, WAY TO GO HONDA UNIVERSE!.

Tony from the service department was a well mannered and attentive gentleman. This was my first experience with any Honda dealership and he made it an easy and fast one. I called them in the morning he told me to come in, they diagnosed the problem and let me know it could be fixed immediately. My car was in and out by the afternoon. Would highly recommend coming here.

Ask for Brian. I had a horrible week shopping for cars and I ended up purchasing elsewhere, but Brian was perhaps the best salesman I came across. He wasn't pushy or rude and went out of his way to try to find something that worked within my budget days after I left and kept in touch. I ended up going with a car that was a little bigger, but Brian had gone out of his way to find me a good deal.

Service members were fine. Prices were inflated. So I skipped the 24.90 tire rotation and 70.00 oil change. Went to Mavis for service same day and it was much better pricing. Freehold honda is much cheaper to maintain your car. 4 oil changes for 100.00 bucks. Awesome. As I usually pay 45.00 each change.

I was so impressed with the customer service here. Neil was our sales guy and he was so helpful. He was there to answer every question we had. Nick also helped with making sure we got what we came in for. We got a 2020 Honda Civic Sedan and I couldn t be any happier, especially because they had the blue color that I wanted. And Steve helped us with getting insurance. He made sure we got the best too. Everyone should purchase a car here. They are AWESOME!! Thank you Universe Honda for making me so happy!!!
