I'm a first time car buyer. I was extremely cautious going into this process and didn't want to be rushed into a car I would regret. I visited a couple dealerships and researched many prices before deciding on what model and trim I was interested in (Honda Civic EX). I had my thoughts set on a CPO vehicle I was eyeing. As soon as we entered the lot, Shawn Smith was there to greet us and make sure we were taken care of. He took the time to give us a run down under the hood (when no other dealerships did that), and let me take the car out for the spin. Unfortunately, the car I originally wanted had some stains that had no guarantees of coming out, but Shawn surpassed my expectations and was able to get me an even better deal on a BRAND NEW vehicle which was much more competitive than another dealer's initial price, and one that I was very comfortable with accepting--even beating True Blue's price. That's when you know he cares about customers over profit. He could have easily just told me to go home and stop wasting his time, but he stayed very patient with me as all the events took several hours with all the steps that needed to be done, and all the people I needed to consult/call for blessings. I can't thank Shawn enough!! Thank you + Honda DTLA for everything!

This review has been a long time coming (bought memorial day weekend), but something I've always been meaning to write given the experience we had.

We had dealt with some shady dealers and tactics; and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much different when we showed up here. I had my guard up and was prepared to be SOLD to. However, I can't say enough about the whole experience and treatment we received. Mercedes was awesome from start to finish - trying to make us feel comfortable and chat. It felt like we were talking to a friend though and really getting to know each other, not just BS small talk. She was knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the night and test drive.

They had the car we wanted and we decided to sit down and see what we could pull off - When it came time to negotiate, (Steve and Dan I think?) were awesome, fair, and up front. I never once felt like I was being led on, lied to, hard sold, or treated poorly. Even after choosing a price, they were fair and accommodating with financing and finishing up.

Nothing like ringing the deal bell after midnight to top off buying a new car too!

We ended up leaving after 1am when the staff stayed late to finish deals and wait for everything to clear. Rather than rushing us off so they could sleep, they made us feel taken care of and Mercedes stayed until 1:30am to show us how to work the iphone program in the new crv.

Summary: awesome staff, no hard sell, fair and transparent negotiating , and ..... HONESTY - something we hadn't seen yet in dealerships. We wanted a specific car, and the dealer was less important to me. I never thought I'd be so happy with the experience and dealership.

There was a recall of Honda Fit 2019. I had to wait a lot of time. Service wasn't quick. However, they thoroughly inspected and repaired it. Even problems not related to the recall were repaired for free. I am grateful to them.

BUYERS BEWARE. I said it before and I will say it again. Their service department is the worse. The Manager Juan Salazar is there to scammed you and lied to you. He would tell you wherever you need to hear so you would drive away. My problems begun in DEC 2017 that was the first time I took my car for maintenance. Imagine that, It only took them one service for them to messed my car up. Juan Promised and assured me that he was gonna replace the shield that protects my "ENGINE". I just found out that they never did. How do I know this? There is no shield underneath. So basically my Engine is expose to the elements, to anything that may damage and shorten its life. That's how serious this is. So Yes. BUYERS BEWARE.

Amazing customer service! It's great to know there are reps who take pride in their job but also look for customer satisfaction. Although the process can be time consuming, it's worth it when a new or returning customer can take a test drive and say, "This is the car I want and this is the one I will take home!" Despite the new location, the place is crowded with customers and reps who have great knowledge with no space for "I'm not sure, let me go ask."

-SALES REVIEW-It's my first time that I wrote review on yelp because I had the worst experience by Sales staff. I went to the dealership with my girl friends to purchase her new car after I made appointment with them via phone call. The first salesman who showed us car was very courteous and made us very comfortable (UNTIL AT THIS POINT) We were interested in buying 2015 Honda Fit and the care was very inexpensive and full of high technology (even better than my 2014 Lexus IS for some parts). It was first time for my girl friend to purchase a new car so she wants to think about several options either getting base model or EX-model. Also, we were considering between purchasing or leasing option. Later on, Sailyn Cruz came and the problems and worst experience began. He suddenly replaced the first sales guy and started pushing to sell their car today but I went to the dealership around 7pm and still needed time to think about several options over the night. So I told the sales manager that "I need quotes for base vs EX model or purchase/lease, and I will come back tomorrow after I decide with my gf. After that, he suddenly changed his face, told us "I will be back a second" and left us then never came back. Later on, different sales man who has angry face and no smile came to us and even didn't introduce himself to us (Indian American guy) He started to repeat the same questions what the sales manager asked us, never listen to us, and just told us what he wanted. I told him that I am not gonna buy the car tonight but we need a quote and will come back tomorrow (My gf and I really liked the car and was going to come back tomorrow after we decide). The angry sales man asked us, "How much do you wanna pay for down payment". I answered "2,000." He asked me again, "how much do you wish to pay for monthly payment". and I told him, "I don't know. Can you give us a quote so we can think about it?". He asked me with angry face, "You have to give me the amount that you can pay." Seriously?, I am just trying to buy a 15k compact car.. can they just give a quote to customers? I was upset by answering the same question over and over and rude attitude from the last sales man. We just left the dealership and the sales manager was laughing and joking around with other people. Never expect apologize from them or professional attitude. When I came back home with bad mood and I read the sales review from yelp and well.. I found that I was not first victim who mistreated by their horrible sales service. I don't even bother to call their General manager Carolyn to complain because their terrible sales service has been like this forever. If you don't believe me, please read previous reviews from other people. So don't consider to go to this place EVER. You will get nothing but only feeling of anger. However, I loved the Honda Fit and will go to different branch of Honda dealership tomorrow even though Honda of DTLA is only 5 minutes distance from my place.

Go see my boy Miguel Umana (an excellent salesman) he will help you get a ride with little or no credit. Our credit wasn t the best when we first leased our 2016 Civic but Miguel helped us out. Literally we send everyone to him and they leave with a car. Now a year later we were able to turn the lease into a purchase, I highly recommend this dealership to everyone because the staff really care about helping out in getting you in a car

I wish I was able to give this place ZERO stars, the staff has been so rude. I ve been trying to fix the problem for the car I got in this place and no one helps me. They ve been avoiding me, every time I call they say they ll send an email to such person and or return my calls and they don t. As a customer I feel degraded this shouldn t be the way to treat their customers . As soon they sell you the car and have an issue they don t want to deal with you.

New location is terrible. Service even worse. I recommend any other Honda dealership other then this location. I drove in as a walk in. Everything was going well, I got checked in. After 15 minutes of waiting... a representative walks up to my car to notify me that it s appointments only. There is about 10-12 representatives on the floor. It took 15 minutes of my time! I m a paying customer. And every other dealership does walk ins. Some of the staff look high, others look like they are on cocaine. Nobody is up to standards. Managers are nowhere to be found upon request. Also to lease a car here you have to give a high down payment regardless of your credit!! I recommend any other honda dealership. Low down payment! Walk ins are welcome all day. Good luck on your service here. And even more on leasing a car at this very poorly staffed location. Sad to say that I m an investor with Honda and for once I felt like I was nothing. Thank you honds of downtown Los Angeles for the experience.

I went to purchase a 2018 Honda Civic from them yesterday -- the salesman who helped me (Reynaldo Guzman) was polite and knowledgeable, and did not try to oversell me on anything. Their financing office gave me a good deal on the car, and I was able to drive home with it the same day. The only word of caution I would offer is to visit on a day off or otherwise make sure your schedule is flexible, as the location can get quite busy (and they were apparently understaffed). I have no complaints on the quality of customer service I received, though.

Absolutely best experience buying a car! My sales rep, Frida, was nothing short of wonderful, and she made the entire time enjoyable. I would recommend her for anyone buying a car because she was extremely knowledgeable, genuine, and made sure the customer received the best service as possible. The whole dealership was practicing excellent COVID-19 protocol and social distancing, but it didn't detract at all from the overall experience. I left happy, excited, and most importantly with a brand new Honda Accord!

Hands down one of the best experiences I've had at a dealership. I went in wanting to exchange my lease for a newer model and that's what ended up happening and that was all thanks in part to the amazing team at Honda Los Angeles and especially to Joshua Velasquez who helped me get the deal I wanted with extra amenities. It took 5 hours but I ended up with what I wanted and they ended up with a customer for life for how attentive and accommodating they were to all my needs and worries. Joshua took the time to explain everything about the car and what came with the lease. He went over every little detail to make sure that everything was the way I wanted and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much Honda LA team and Joshua Velasquez for putting me into a new car (2017 Honda CR-V) at a great price! I took my Honda in for an AC issue. My Honda is just over a year old and under warranty miles. Now I had just purchased my Honda less than three months ago at a third big largest NonHonda dealer and purchased an extended warranty. It turns out my Honda AC was not cover under the Honda warranty nor the extended warranty I bought at the time of purchasing my vehicle due to natural causes. That s not all in my unfortunate experience with Honda. I had made reservations to have my Honda inspected at the Honda of downtown Los Angeles and dropped it off the night before then called the next to follow up. By the end of the day, I found out my car was never looked at.
I ask the service adviser if there where busy I can take it out and take it to another Honda. Well, I have to pay out of pocket for a new AC. Wait, there s more. I ask is there s anything I can do to prevent this. The service agent said there s nothing we can do to avoid this. So this tells me it can happen again. Not only was this unfortunate news. I had to ask Honda to inspect two other issues that they said warrant there. I still have does problems with my Honda and feel I have just pushed aside. After a week, I had a miss call to follow up over the phone on my experience with Honda. I work 9 to 5 pm, and there s no way I can be on my phone. I left a message to have a callback, and I never received any callback not a pleasant first-time experience.
