I have had nothing but a bad experience since the moment i stepped in the door at Honda downtown. I have owned Honda s for years and have never had the horrible customer service that i have had with them. Not only was the car buying experience awful from start to finish but what has gone on after has been even worse. I have a charge on my account that was promised to me by 3 different employees would be removed. Every time i call to speak with someone at Honda they tell me they will look into things and call me back and not once has anyone called me back. It s always me waiting for weeks at a time and then me calling them back for an update. They have now ruined my credit due to this charge being sent to collections even though i have been working with them on this with no answers for six months. Finally this month i received an answer of there is nothing we can do after six months of back and forth. The GM refuses to speak to me and no one will even give me his information to leave a message or email. I am disgusted at the way the situation has been handled. I will never buy a car from them again. Not only do i still have this charge on my account but my credit is destroyed. Worst experience of my life with any dealership. Do not waste your time buying a car here. They just want the deal done and don t care about the customer after.

**UPDATE: I once again have called the customer service manager several times and there still has been no response and no resolution. Worst customer service here.

I just bought my car here on 10/11. The lady helping me was Frida. Our overall experience was great being a first time car buyer. She gave us offers and helped us out with our counteroffer. All my questions were asked and explained to us. I gave it a 4 not because of Frida or the service but because as a first time buyer I would have expected for the car to be washed beautifully. Left spotless. Especially the car being a 2020 car. We got to take the car home at night so we didnt notice how dirty it actually was. But besides that it was a great experience. Thank Frida and thank you Honda!

She pushed to get a car they just received (with the plastic on and everything) to be all set up for me to pick up the next morning. Buying a car can be so stressful but the two of them truly made it easy for us. Already wanting to buy a second car from them.

Good customer service from the service department. Heike Guillen, at the service desk was quick, knowledgeable and courteous. The work was quickly diagnosed and repaired on time and per the estimate. I will be back for all services for our CRV.

Bought my car from this dealership a little over 3 years ago, and never encountered a problem with it until now. I was a little reluctant of taking my car here for service because of the bad reviews I've read. I had no choice since I was desperate to get my car fixed ASAP, so I made an appointment. The whole process was a breeze and luckily ended up getting my car fixed on the same day at no charge since they had the replacement parts available. Also, since I was eligible for the warranty that came with the car, I didn't have to pay a dime. Alan was very helpful with my questions and followed up as promised. The only thing I regret doing was stressing myself out for nothing. Thank you, Honda of Downtown L.A.!

Unfortunately, an excellent Honda brand selling or partnering with accessory companies such as VIZEM CAM, a super-poor Chinese camera, never buy it as they leave it at a discount for $ 999 but before they buy something always ask their seller to show them the camera They are in full right, and all those people who bought Vizen Cam never keep quiet their vote counts, and have been honest, of course always without offending or mistreating anyone, remember the advocacy always has to be positive.
In the same way they sell an alarm that is at $ 999, when I agreed to buy the package it was because I said for the price it must be something mega WOW but great disappointment my people apart from that they do not even have a phone number of that company to claim or that they explain to you that it is wrong with the camera, LADIES AND LADIES, HONDA is not responsible after you buy and unfortunately once you sign and install it you can not undo the contract, that my Race does not happen the same, for that It's the reviews trust them.
My complaint is for the accessories, The cars are excellent, and NEVER those who are first to buy a car, HOLD a car READ because after they deliver it, you will go through this EXAMPLE: from the car 25,000 to purchase and Honda decides that The car is worth only 13,000 what will happen is that 12,000 will be added to your new account and returned financed along with your new account if you grab another car.
Most of the time those who are just new customers for the first time, they are going to throw the choro that because they do not have credit and that is why they cannot sell them a car, they are not discouraged cars there are even to win, they speak raise their vote you are the decision to read or buy. My intention is that they do not go through the same thing that I pass is unfair. When I came to Honda to ask for a Vizen Cam phone number they left me waiting 3 hours and they never gave me the number. And although Honda responds to this comment by giving a phone number, they don't even say who to talk to and even now nobody has answered me. Although I pay interest and taxes on that camera accessory and there is no guarantee please never buy that camera, unless you want to check it for yourself, according to them, at the dealer they told me that nobody has gone to complain that That camera doesn't work. Go and give your complaint if you bought it. That have k. Excellent day,

I have hated buying cars and my hatred proved to be right when I tried to purchase a 2018 Honda CR-V. I went through 5 Honda dealers where I was baited and switched with car pricing. I was so disheartened I was ready to give up on getting the Honda CR-V. Then I reached out to Honda of Downtown LA and it was night and day. I negotiated a price with Lindsey over the email. She was fair and transparent and offered a super competitive price. I expected the bait and switch again when I got down there, because I was so use to being lied to. But the price was honored, and Jane, my salesperson took me on a test drive and was super knowledgeable and patient with me despite the many hiccups that I was causing on the deal. The great experience continued when I went into the Finance office and closed the deal. Unlike the finance offices in other dealers where it almost seems like they are putting a gun to your head to guy additional warranties, insurance, etc., Honda of Downtown LA was not like that at all. They offered their services, explained the services and pricing options, but I never felt as if I had to buy something extra in order to leave the dealership with my car. Everything, from beginning to end, was a great experience. I lost faith in buying cars but Honda of Downtown LA renewed my faith and showed me that not all dealers had to be shady and unethical. I would definitely recommend this dealership and comeback again when it's time to buy my next car.

All I can say is that I am very pleased with their services. I went in to Honda of DTLA after I was unable to resolve a concern I've had with my car for months in another Honda Services Location. Staff were friendly, Trevor was the person that assisted me throughout the process and just wanted to say thank you. Regardless of not finding the issue during the first few attempts he always maintained a "never give up" attitude which helped find the problem and fix it. Overall, great experience. Thank you!

My lease was ending in a few months and a representative called me to come in to see my options as I wasn't to sure on which route to take. However, I was excited at the idea of getting into a new car, I even took my girlfriend with me for the experience. Upon arriving I was greeted and was told of the limitations in place due to covid-19. I waited at a table when Angel Galvez arrived and spoke to us. He came off very sluggish, at first I had to ask him to repeat himself many times as I couldn't understand him. He offered us water while he went to speak to someone, after many back and forth trips he never brought us the water. When we asked him for it, he went to go get it and then came back to tell us he couldn't give us any due to covid, which is understandable but why not know that from the start. Anyway, after some talking another gentleman then came along with Angel and I am so glad that he did because he played a major part in my decision of actually getting into a new car. Christopher took over the rest of the talking (phew) he was very helpful with understanding my options for financing, leasing, or keeping my vehicle. Angel came back into the picture at this point, as he was gonna be taking me for my test drive which took him forever to find the car. While heading outside, I asked him simple questions about the car, like if it had remote start, he didn't have an answer for me and never got back to me with one lol great job representing your brand. We got back to Christopher and after a bit of battling on pricing, I decided on a new Accord Sport. Christopher got us set up and ready to go to the next step and sign our contract. He led us to lounge area upstairs where he told us we were waiting for the finance manager as she was with someone else. Some time went by but he continued to check on us with updates. I decided to get an alarm for the car and I finalized my contract. Angel came back and told us he would be getting my car it was just being washed so we sat and waited. After some time went by, Angel was nowhere to be found. I finally saw him with other customer so I respectfully waived at him and waited until he was free. He walked by me and said he'd be back, didn't even stop walking to tell me that just walked off. Some more time went by before I saw him again as he updated me and said he dropped off my car with the guy installing the alarm. Some more time went by, and again Angel was nowhere in sight. I asked the person at the front desk if they knew what was going on with my car, she called for angel with no answer from him until the second call. Christopher saw us still waiting and even he goes "you guys are still here?" We then explained to him we were still waiting on the car and he quickly tells us he was gonna check on it. Christopher comes back with Angel to tell us that the gentleman that was gonna install the alarm had gone to lunch. Not once was that ever mentioned by Angel, he never even came to give us an update. We had waited over an hour and a half AFTER signing off and paying thanks to Angel's incompetence. That was the worst experience I ever had, truly. I should have known from those early signals when we first spoke and asked for help from someone besides Angel. I bought my first Car here in 2017 and my experience was great and it was what really drove me back, I even left you guys review about it. I took my girlfriend so she could see what to expect before she buys her car in a few months, we definitely will be rethinking about coming to this Honda ever again. However there are great helpful people here, its a shame how one persons incompetence can throw that all away. If anyone does decides on getting a car here, just stay away from Angel Galvez and im sure you'll have a better experience.

The experience started off good. Freddie was our salesman and walked us through and eventually made my mom feel comfortable enough with buying the CRV which was her dream car. Eventually Freddie left as well as the older manager in charge, I'm assuming they were off the clock. Things took a turn when they placed us with a saleswoman with a very unique hairstyle and the afternoon manager (a younger gentleman) took over our sale. The saleswoman was not interested in making a sale, didn't want to negotiate, and rudely bumped us down to a "cheaper" model because she forcibly wanted a $5000 downpayment which my mom didn't want to give. Not only that but they lost her ID and said they would call to return it. Its been a few weeks and my mom proudly drives her 2020 VW Tiguan with leather, sunroof, keyless start, and luxury rims for the same cost a basic CRV would be. I highly recommend VW DTLA .

I knew exactly what car I was getting, how much it would cost, and what the financing terms would be before I even got to the dealership. Every single employee in this place is rude has the worst customer service ever, not type of people skills. The sales man & boss of the place kept trying to pressure me into buying a car i was NOT interested in.!!!!!! why the fu** would i want to pay for a car i do not like?. Had me waiting 5 hours to tell me at the end they couldn't work with the deal i wanted. all they care about is money they try to hustle you so be careful !!! Got helped fast William (salesman) was a upgrade from the saleman from Honda of Glendale . He made me and my wife feel like we been friends for years . He helped us find a good car. With a good price and fit for what I needed. Before arriving I had it in my mind I wasn t going to get a car that day. Since I arrived one hr before closing . But the staff was there for me. They even stood 3 threes after closing to help me get a car and the deal he help me work out. Was a deal I couldn t decline. So that night. Do not purchase a vehicle from DTLA Honda. The quality and pride in their work is not taken seriously obviously. Please note I have had nothing but issues with this vehicle thus far. Not only did they keep me there waiting hours while purchasing but the vehicle was purchased without any fluids being checked. Two days after purchasing the car I noticed the window wiper fluid containers were BONE DRY. The night the car was purchased I was told all fluids had been checked and I was good to go. Please note, The night I bought the vehicle it was only on half a tank of gas (clearly from the vehicle being test driven). I had been there from 4pm to 10pm so needless to say I was exhausted and ready to go. I sent the photo proof into my sales associate that the vehicle did not come with a full tank of gas as it was clearly stated. I then had to return to Honda to get the full tank of gas I was entitled to THE NEXT DAY. Please note when I expressed interest in the car it was stated to have 7 miles on it when it actually had 20 miles on it (an additional inconsistency). All in all my car is not two weeks old and this will be my second time bringing it back for issues that are totally and completely avoidable if possible I would have taken my purchase and business to a different dealer. DTLA has no respect for your time if you are a busy person whatsoever do not purchase anything from them not even a bottled water.

WORST DEALER EVER, I somehow now owe Honda around $30,000+ (plus have already paid around 4,000) dollars for a 2018 Honda Civic LX, their most basic model. It started with a lease where I was paying 462 dollars FOR A LEASE even after a 1,000 deposit. I just decided to do an early buyout at a different dealer in hopes of lowering payments and still had a balance of around 26,000 HIGHER than this vehicle s MSRP. Complete BS. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to get ripped off like I did.

Mercedes Reyes was my salesperson and she was so nice and worked with me practically the entire day!! She was honest, genuine, and really wanted to help me unlike others I've met. The finance person Joey was also amazing. I would definitely suggest anyone reading this and looking for a vehicle to go to Honda Downtown LA. Best experience ever.

I ve now gone back for a recall service and they can t seem to tell me what those screws are. I asked for an estimate with a breakdown of parts vs labour and got a cryptic list of numbers. They claim that all my concerns can t be addressed because there are no technicians working.

I asked for an A1 service and I felt like I was being hustled into paying extra for the B1 service. My service advisor explained that it was recommended to have the B1 service done but that s not what I wanted. I told her I would get my service done at the Honda I used to work at because I would have gotten a better deal. I paid $70 for my oil change and that didn t even include a tire rotation....which is what I brought my car in for.

1. No space to receive cars for all super tight service.

2. The waiting room is super awkward, the coffee is scary DO NOT CREATE, DO NOT MILK, DO NOT SUGAR, NO NAPKINS, NOTHING ONLY BLACK COFFEE. There is nothing to prepare coffee.

3. I came to replace a light and they told me that the estimated waiting time would be 6 hours and I arrived at 7:30 am and made an appointment.

4. Several of the employees are talking to each other about their lives and eating at their desk and people are waiting impatiently.

5. I would not recommend this Dealer to anyone, never of the nuncas. Honestly very bad experience, very uncomfortable and slow very slow.

6. I was not even offered the shutter service.

7. Buy my 2017 crv car at Honda of Costa Mesa they are definitely much better than here. I hope this comment also has a response from some Manager. Hopefully and respond and follow up on bad experiences too. Thank you.

After being stressed out about getting another car...

After being stressed out about getting another car, I decided to come here in search of a car. William Herrera aka Billy was absolutely amazing. He made the process so easy and stress free. He was also honest and straight forward which I greatly appreciated because some dealers are the complete opposite. Overall I had a wonderful experience with Honda of Downtown LA. If you're looking for a new car, head over to them and ask for William !!!!!

One star for the time they spent on test-drive and 3 cups of water. 4 stars off for they baited and fooled me!
At the beginning everything looked OK, Chris helped me in the test-drive, the CRV was in good condition. What it came to the price, just like the most dealers, they are willing to offer a best price only you promise you will buy their car. Upon my strong request, the used car manager Steve indicated (but not promised at this point) around 15000 could be a buy-today price. OK, with this in mind, I kept visiting other dealers and comparing different deals. After looking at several CRVs, I felt this CRV in Downtown Honda was the car I want, so I called Chris to ask for a good price again, and told him if the price is satisfactory, I will buy the car today (they always say they need your commitment so they can give you the best price). He was still reluctant to offer a best price, so I asked him can I buy the car today with 15000, he said "yes, normally you can". OK, that sounds a good deal, and I would take it if there were no better deals. Later that day, I visited a Mazda dealer south of Los Angeles, they have a good Mazda CX-5 in stock, it's just that their price is a little bit above my budget. I want to negotiate the price with the Mazda dealer but they said they can't give you a tentative price if you don't promise to buy it. OK, if no dealer is willing to give a price then you can't actually compare different deals. I decided to call Chris asking for buy-today price again, and he asked for my commitment again, I told him I will either buy his CRV or the Mazda CX5, this was the best commitment I could give because I just can't promise I will buy your car without knowing what price you would give me finally! He asked me to drive back to Downtown Honda to talk about the price, but my friends warned me he might be just trying to persuade me to leave Mazda now. So I insisted he must give me a price, and I would make my final proposal to Mazda based on that price. If Mazda took it, I would buy CX5, if not I would buy his CRV. He was still reluctant to offer a buy-today price but asked me to propose, I said 14500, he said he need to talk to the manager. When he called back he confirmed I could buy today with 14500. It sounded like a pretty good deal and I made my final proposal to Mazda based on that price, which got declined by Mazda. Then I asked my friend to drive me to Downtown to finish the deal, I called Chris again to confirm it and to discuss payment method. But when I asked can I pay 14500 by card and take the car today, he said no, the price of the car is 16600! Haha, I suddenly realized what had happened, he and probably conspired with the manager, just tried to make a false promise to bait me to leave Mazda, that was all they want! I tried to argue with him why he didn't keep the promise, he said he couldn't recall it first, then he said he was referring to another car which we didn't even test-drove, at last he even said the offer was approved by the first manager, but the second manager couldn't agree. OMG, what kind of excuses were they using, they probably just have enough number of managers to kill all the promise they make! I am raged by being fooled like this, I am amazed by how such a big dealer doesn't care about reputation at all, I am also surprised how come they think this strategy will work. By fooling me like this, do they expect I can accept a price reset by them? I understand dealers and in general all merchants try to maximize the profit, but at least you have to keep your promise. Baiting with a lie is definitely across the line!! That was my whole day searching for a car with my friends helping me, that was a great lesson taught by Downtown Honda. Well-played!

Came back about 3 times before I made the decision to go with this dealer in Downtown LA instead of the many others close to my house in the southbay area. Taylor was our salesmen he was great he sat down with us and we were able to negotiate a price on the vehicle we were searching for, he didn't pressure us like other salesmen and he was able to find us a convenient price & accommodate us with what we were looking for. Made it clear we weren't financing with the dealer but with our credit union & that we did not want an option contract just a purchase order, they were understanding that we weren't interested in the dealer trying to beat our credit unions interest rate. It was a long process but it went really smooth. I'm happy we went with them & have no regrets.

The car was sold to me and it was not detailed, as promised. I had to come back and spend a significant part of my New Year's Eve day back at the dealership instead of with my family. NOBODY at any point ever apologized to me that I had to come back to get what I was told to expect. Instead, I was shamed by the manager, and everyone I had interactions with that day except for Chris. I wrote Chris about the treatment I received and my disappointments and he never responded. I just wanted to make it right.

I had purchased the car at night. I am career person and just needed a reliable car. I don't have the time to do a lot of shopping around. I did not expect to have to come back to the dealership with a car that was missing floor mats and with scratches on the windows and dirty smudges on the upholstery. I came to you expecting high quality. I would not expect to be treated like a problem for confronting these issues. I was shocked to be told, very coldly by a female sales rep that "nothing you get is going to be perfect." I am sure that HONDA corporate office will not be too pleased to hear that these words were the final words spoken to a new Honda consumer.

I was only trying to be solution-oriented when I was asked what we might do but I was shot down in the moment when I put two and two together and proposed the idea of offering me the mats for all the inconvenience and unmet expectations. Your manager who came out (after Nora had shamed me) had a very rigid and intimidating presence. He was totally unresponsive to the issues I presented. He was clearly not there to communicate WITH me. He was not there to offer solutions, either. He was there to make me feel uncomfortable and intimidated. He was insulting towards me: "You're just trying to get some free mats." Then nothing. Literally just stood there, blankly with cold, vacant eyes for a long while. Very weird. In other words, he just wanted me to leave. Unheard. Unsatisfied as a customer.

NO SALES PEOPLE EVER EXPLAINED TO ME that normal features like floor mats and a trunk cover ARE NOT INCLUDED and these are separate items that need to be purchased as "extras." I've never heard of that. Cars have always just come with these things. I must tell HONDA that it is very poor customer service not to be up-front about this kind of basic information with the consumer. These are some of the highlights that made me feel unhappy that I purchased from your Honda dealership. I left feeling like all that mattered was that your people worked as a team (too many different individuals per one customer is impersonal and confusing) and I am left feeling like all that mattered was making a final sale. Your "family"(?) definitely did not leave me feeling well-informed, comfortable, or satisfied on my end because of the way I was treated. I feel very much an outsider and your manager definitely left it on that note. Of course I'm not just trying to get something for nothing. I had to return yet another time to pick up mats that I purchased.

After 5 months, the rear windshield wiper stopped working. It has gotten so loose that sometimes it hangs down below the window. The A/C doesn't get very cold. The car came with minor scratches I didn't see until it was daylight the next day. I have no idea where they stored this car, but it was so dirty when I was able to see it the next morning. I brought it back in and Jerry, who had been nice to me at the time of sale, treated me like I was being picky for showing him the dirt. It was dirty. I don't want to be treated like I'm a pest when I am just coming back to get what I was told to expect. I have photos. I also have a life and a career and no time. Definitely not recommending this kind of service to anyone else I know!

Went in today and met with Wiggy Torres. He had called earlier in the week to check in as the end of my 2014 Civic lease was nearing. I've been a bit hesitant about what I needed to do before turning in my car. He answered all my questions and promised to check in with me in a few days. Called again last evening and set up and appointment with me for today.

He (and the entire team) were incredible. Already had a car on the lot ready for me to test drive when I arrived. Was extremely transparent and upfront about the end of lease process and the steps I would need to take to secure a new one. From the get go Wiggy let me know that if I could work with him and Honda, they could work with me. They did three years ago when I leased my first car, and did again today. I would recommend this dealership to anyone in the area. They are patient and reliable, accommodating and understanding .

I was without A car for a few months and finally decided to get one. Found the pre-owned Lexus listed online and came to see it. There was Sales pressure with gimmicky questions from day one.

I saw the tacky dealership gimmicks coming a mile away & requested my boyfriend come with me. When I finally decided to purchase the vehicle I made an appointment with the salesman.

During discussion of monthly payments, I was informed that the cost of the vehicle I wanted was now $1500 more because it came with required paint and fabric protection that the dealership puts in all of the cars they sell, including used ones.
After some brief discussion he offered to take off the cheaper paint protection plan, stating it would cost the dealership money. He then offered me several monthly payment numbers and I agreed to one that was acceptable. He then informed me it would take 1.5 hours to draw up my contract and that if I leave the dealership during this time, I would take myself out of the wait queue.

Once I had agreed to the payments, The salesman requested to see my debit card to show his manager I was serious about a down payment. While waiting in the dealership for a contract draw up, the salesman comes to me with my debit card and a declined receipt. He had attempted to charge my down payment to my debit card, but the amount was larger than the daily limit on my account so the transaction was declined. While I was able to call my bank to allow this one time charge eventually, why would you charge me a down payment without my permission, when I had not signed anything or seen a contract yet?

I was then invited into an upstairs financing office. The finance guy had printed up a contract, but I came to find the contract included an additional $4000 warranty on top of the vehicle price. He had informed me that he included it to allow for a better interest rate from the bank, and informed me that without it I might not get such a good rate. He had added the most expensive warranty offered by the dealership to my contract, just to get it to match the exact monthly payment the salesman had suggested earlier. With gritted teeth I had to request the warranty be removed while The finance guy Mansplained to me why I needed it (because the 2015 used SUV I bought could start breaking down, and I ll need it to be fixed). during this sales pitch he had also asked if I had driven an SUV before, with the implication that it was somehow an entirely different beast of a vehicle than a sedan. And yes, I ve been driving SUV s since I started driving dude, but darn my genetics, being of small stature and a young looking female, that seemed the best way to talk to me. My boyfriend still teases me about this!

Looking at the brochure of warranties I realized that had it been offered to me, in the format of warranty tiers, I would be more likely to agree to a higher warranty level than when it s placed forcefully on the contract. I also noticed in the corner of jerome s desk a flyer that indicated the dealership offered paint protection, fabric protection, an alarm system and a dash cam as additional OPTIONS, Rather than forced additions to the price of a car as I was informed prior.

Overall this experience was not pleasant. These types of tactics and lacks in Communication are what give car dealerships a bad name and make it very difficult for a female to safely purchase a vehicle on her own.
