ATTENTION ATTENTION the staff has the home on arrival at the top however when leaving, I am told that my deposit of $ 150 will be in my bank account within 10 days maximum. I want to clarify, the deposit is well debited from my account and not just a print! It's been a month and I still have not recovered my deposit of $ 150. I tried to call but I do not speak English very well so I hang up in the nose! and the mails I am told to wait until we find a solution but I still have no solution and it dates to December 3. So I would rather recommend the hotel but I would change all staff including officials who do not realize the risks they take by acting and being thieves.

Was upgraded to a complimentary Cabana room. Kind of a small room but nice nonetheless. Service was good and areas like the lounge areas and event spaces looked great. The one knock I have is the lighting in the rooms and bathrooms is pretty bad. So it is a bit of a pain if you're trying to get ready for an event while you're there. Overall nice place.

This place while beautiful on the outside is far from friendly and lacks warmth. It is actually very snobby and pretentious where staff walk around with their noses in the air as if they are too good for the rest of the world. At times they cater to that elitist element and you may have to deal with the smell of blunt smoke frequently wafting thru the common spaces. During their frequent party nights drunk revelers spill out onto the drive and rudely smoke cigarettes in front of the doorway. Wait times for valet service during these events can be excruciatingly long due to the fact that they pack cars into every available space sometimes 2 and 3 cars deep in order to accommodate.
It's a shame really for such a beautiful historic landmark location to be run by such greedy elitist snobs. It's definitely worth a visit to see the beautiful restoration but be mindful you may have to run into some undesirable and downright repugnant people both guest and employee while there...

Location is great, the rooms are very over priced for what you get. We had to pay 4k for 2 rooms... For 1 night. And when we asked for any service they informed us that it'll be done when it's convenient for them - "we don't like to rush our staff" is what was actually said. So... They obviously aren't hurting for business, so they don't need yours... Is the tone. So pay for the 5 star location, but do NOT expect 5 star service.

Over priced hotel, riding on the coat tails of those who've stayed before. They try to impress you with pictures of celebrities who have visited the hotel prominently displayed on the walls in the common areas (this is LA, celebrities have been and are everywhere). Expect to pay an additional $50 on top of the price of the room to park and $15 for basic WiFi. The shower is a perfect example of form over function. It has no door, so most of the water ends up all over the bathroom floor. The 10x10 room is small enough, but they still found it necessary to cram in a chest with alcohol, water bottles, Doritos and tacky $20 flip flops. Most places save those items for the gift shop. Times must be tough at the Roosevelt...

Probably the best value for money you re going to get being in this hotel. The room was nice, spacious, clean, and the staff was very friendly. I got the full experience of staying here and paid a good price. The building was like nothing I ve ever seen before either, A glass pyramid with a light shining up to the sky at night!

This is an amazing place to hang out during the day or party the night away. Several night spots and an amazing California adult pool. Food is good but pricey. Nice retro vibe in the public spaces but the guest rooms are dates and need a refresh. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Beautiful refurbished room. Upscale finishes and bedding. Beautiful public spaces. Only negatives are $45 per night parking fee and loud music from party by the pool that went on until 3 a.m. Close to all the freaks of Hollywood Blvd. if that's what you're looking for. Staff was wonderfully polite and helpful. Top notch service.

Bre Smith and staff are rock stars. Me and wife's wedding anniversary was made memorable because of Ms Smiths generosity. Pool food, drinks, ambience over the weekend was on point. Staff was firing on all cylinders. Service was top notch and everyone was courteous and professional.

The Cabana suite was out of this world Mtv cribs status with plush bed, expensive furnishing, ample square footage, full bar, and a lanai with fireplace that opens up to the heart of the hotel, the tropical pool area.

Ms Smith was exceptional with her attention to details. She kept wife's glass full with yummy cocktails, remembered our names and reason for stay and had room service deliver a bottle of bubbly, plate of decadent chocolate treats and a hand written note wishing us a happy anniversary. Wife couldn't be happier with our experience here.

I recommend this classy historic landmark of a hotel to anyone that desires a place to party, eat well, treated like a VIP, rest and relax and is central to Hollywood. All the buzz of Hollywood is within walking distance.

Stoked on returning.

The location is amazing. The front desk were unapologetic to the issues that were brought to them. Upon check in I was advised to wait an extra 30 minutes because the room had a great garden view. When I got to the room, it was a concrete patio with 2 chairs. No garden in sight. There was a puddle of water on the floor from the AC dripping. AC was fixed on the second day. The bathroom tile was infested with black mold. Rooms are really tiny and don t match the description on the website. The hotel also oversold some of the room types. There is no excuse for poor customer service, and not being honest with your customers is just plain unethical.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel . It is centrally located and it definitely represents it being a upscale hotel. The service was great: the breakfast buffet the dinner and the room service. The room was clean and with comfortable beds (firm) customer service was excellent they definitely aim to please. The atmosphere was great. "It's worth returning to a reputable hotel and location.

My wife and I are just getting back from our honeymoon at The Hollywood Roosevelt and enjoyed our stay so much I created an account to write this. Our stay was one of the highlights of the trip, such a classy, gorgeous, accommodating hotel. Really felt like being in old time Hollywood. The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. Rocco the Bellman especially went out of his way to make our stay special. We stayed in the Cabana Rooms overlooking the pool and highly recommend that. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Can't recommend this place enough!!

Hospitality, hospitality, hospitality. The HR is the hotel for those who enjoy excellent service. At check in we received a free upgrade, valet service is quick - having our car ready in minutes. The bars in the hotel are amazing, especially the juice bar - serving unique drinks mixed with fresh squeezed fruits and freshly picked herbs. You name your ingredients and they create tailored cocktails. The pool is private with full service drinks and food. I really can't say enough about the hotel. Will only stay there.

I mean I know the history of the place but expect some of the workers, who you can tell don't want to work to have a per say a "LA" mentality, if you not waving money, you not getting respect type of attitude but the security are nice an helpful.. The rooms are Ok, the best part is your on the strip an if you go here on the weekends you might catch a lit pool party an possibly some celebrities with their nose in the air.. ;) have fun.. #dobetter world

I travel regularly and never take the time to write these but this is the worst hotel experience I ve had in quite a while. This should not be considered a 4 star hotel... The photos are not a true representation of the rooms, they are barely updated. Beds, tables, chairs, bath tubs are in bad condition. The cleanliness was probably the most horrific. I switched rooms and both had stains on bed sheets, curtains, and bath towels.. yes, bath towels. The front desk was not helpful and the girl asked me so why don t you like your room? When I came downstairs to switch rooms after finding stained towels and a disheveled room. Smh.. never again.

Nice old hotel with very nice recently renovated rooms. Great location and great staff. My one issue is some rooms are noisier than others due to proximity to Hollywood Blvd or the Pool. The windows are new and double pane but are sometimes impossible to close all the way so let in excessive noise making the issue worse. Try closing the top half of the double hung window first so you can fully latch it, this helps reduce noise. The beds have very nice bed coverings but I personally don't find the mattresses very comfortable. Some rooms have small bathrooms with very little counter space. I guess this comes with the territory of it being an old building. The various bars and spaces in the hotel are amazing and beautiful. Drinks are expensive but delicious. The bar staff are pretty great. If I could I would give the hotel a 4.5 stars.

Worse experience ever! They put us on the 3rd floor and because of the club below we had to stay up all night, it sounded like being inside the club and my wife, pregnant, and exhausted. We talked to the manager and they just told us that they have no other room. Horrible horrible horrible experience! Don t book this place or you ll regret it!
