Was booked here by the production company I was filming for out in LA for 3 days and 2 nights my room was small but had a great view of Hollywood boulevard it was clean and the room service was impeccable my only issue was the $300 hold they put on my credit card when I arrived which baffled me because there was not even a stocked Mini bar in my room? The pool was great and the drinks are very expensive but all in all I had a decent time.

The bar was absolutely exquisite! The staff was very polite and were ready and quick to serve. The atmosphere was also very nice, I particularly liked the dim lighting. It was a very enjoyable experience and I plan on returning in the near future.

I love the style of this classic hotel. The staff was very friendly and hospitable at the valet stand and the front desk.

My only complaints would be that the bathroom didn't have any ventilation so it got really steamy during showers, and the bathroom door automatically swung shut so we had to use a lamp cord to tie it open to air out. Also the bedposts are dark, 6" shorter than the mattress and stick out horizontally from the mattress by about 6" as well, which of course meant that I banged my shin into them a couple of times.

Super friendly high quality service.

Super friendly high quality service.
My boyfriend and I made accidentally a reservation for the wrong date in a Cabana, all payed for. When we checked-in the hostess told us our reservation was not that day but the following month. We were tired from our trip and angry for the terrible mistake. The hostess kindly suggested to call Trivago's customer service and change the date of check-in so we did. After fixing our check-in date reservation we were told by trivago that The Roosevelt had no longer available Cabanas but we had the option of taking a regular room with a King size bed for the same price. Disappointed, we took our only option and returned to The Roosevelt Hotel. There, our new host Francis notice that we where there earlier and had a problem with our reservation. He kindly offered to switch us to a Cabana!!! How amazing is that?! THANK YOU SO MUCH FRANCIS!
we really appreciate what you did!
Overall, the hotel is amazing
We loved our stay.

Great location.Walking distance to everything "Hollywood" Rooms are dated and small. I was charged several times at the bar for "gratuity" on drink purchases. Some staff appear to take advantage of tourists for personal gain.

Very nice Hotel, historic, on Hollywood Blvd, GREAT Staff, very friendly.
Rooms are high class and the hotel still offers room service. Takes you back to 1920's & 1930's and the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Went there for a drink at the lobby bar to see that historical place. Ok!
Was cool but not much, consider that i did not sleep there.
Very old place and cool to been there.
It's not that i didn't like, the discoteque was the element of that stress, the lobby surrounding the sound like heel.
That fantom get sick there for sure....

This place lost all of it's stars due to the horrible customer service provided by the parking attendent, he is the most rude, vulgar and uneducated person I have ever come accross. The hotel is fine but the poor service provided by their attendent is inexcusable.

So I travel a lot, and at least 10 stops are in LA.. I usually hotel hop just to check out new hotels. Then I stayed at the Hollywood Roosevelt. It was a game changer, I even left a 5star glowing review after my first stay.. I loved this hotel so much I created an "iPrefer" account to accrue points because I had no intentions of staying anywhere else. Since then I've stayed there 4-5 times, even getting two rooms on one occasion.. The only reason I wouldn't stay there was if my work took me too far from the area.. My last stay here started off bad. I realized as I was booking my reservation that none of my previous stays had been accounted for.. I called to see why no points had been added and I got an associate who was incredible, it was the only positive of this experience. She assured me that she would speak to a manager and get back to me. A few hours later she did and she had talked to her manager and relayed that the manager was going to adjust everything.. When I checked in a few days later, I had reserved a "King Loft Suite" which was an upgrade, and it was a room style I had stayed in before. The room I got had a split 2 room bathroom, a really small room with a shower and an even smaller room with a sink and toilet. Both rooms no bigger than a large hall closet. Not necessarily a big deal for a standard room (which do have bigger bathrooms) but compared to the other "King Loft Suites" it was pretty drastic. When I called the front desk I was assured that there were no options for me. Later I went down to check the status of my points to see if they had been added. The manager told me that it was impossible for anyone to add points retroactively, and couldn't be done without knowing my membership number which I never provided. I recalled to him the phone conversation I had had earlier with the associate, and he just didn't believe me. Fortunately a few minutes later the associate I had spoken with overheard our conversation and confirmed exactly what I had originally told him.. There are at least three other incidents that happened during this trip but my thumbs are getting tired.. To sum it up, I thought I had found my "go to" hotel for my LA trips. Unfortunately I won't be staying here again. I actually checked out 3 days early and moved to another hotel. If this is your first time at the Roosevelt, it's amazing and I recommend it. My intentions are not to discourage anyone from staying here.. But if you travel a lot to Los Angeles often and are looking for a hotel that appreciates repeat visits/stays, this is not a great property. There are plenty of higher end properties in the area that would love $350-$450 per night. Hopefully I will find my next "go to" hotel soon.

Pricey, pricey, pricey. No pool at hotel, as it's a bar and as such - they reserve the right to select their customers. I don't need a hotel I'm paying thousands to, to tell me I'm not cool or attractive enough to go to the pool. Thanks.

I've not stayed at the hotel as a guest, but have guns there got decades, the most recent years during the AFI FEST for various functions and afterparties. The food I've eaten there has been really very good as have the hor d'oeuvres. A lot of Hollywood history here too.

I traveled to Los Angeles and spent 2 nights staying at this hotel, the issue was that they took a credit card as a deposit for my stay, which would be refunded if we did not use or had a problem to charge us, so they charged me U $ S 300.-but they never returned them to me now I have to face an expense plus the 30% tax TO BOLUDO and nobody reimburses me, EYE WITH THESE CHANTAS are in silence of radio

I stayed here for 2 nights on my way home from a business trip. Usually I don't write reviews like this because I hate the negativity but I feel like I need to warn any other people considering a stay here.

I was treated poorly by the bartenders and cocktail hosts in the Public bar lobby area. They ignored me, bartenders served all the other people before helping me (some people came after me and they literally looked past me to help someone else). The cocktail waitress had a poor look on her face and I could tell she didn't want to serve me dinner (she didn't even bring me silverware with my dinner - I had to CHASE someone down for it because I was sitting for 10 mins waiting and no one came by).

Rooms are small but nicely decorated, views are nice, mini bar, and great location. The crowd of men that visit here can be a bit aggressive if you're a women (not related to the hotel service, but I was approached on 2 occasions while I was eating dinner). From now on when I'm in Hollywood I'll stay at the W. I've never been treated poorly by staff there.

This will probably be my favorite place to stay when visiting LA the rooms are very nice and clean, the staff is super nice and friendly especially the security guard I forgot to get his name-he was very attentive and guided me very well as to where the shopping places were. I do recommend to stay in the highest floor possible. My room was in the 8th floor and I could still hear the crazy traffic not a lot but enough for my sensitive ears.
