Central in the Hollywood Area, on the front of the Walk of Face, opposite of the Chinese Mann's Theatre, located close to a Tube Station (to the Universal Studios or Downtown Los Angeles)

This Hotel is legendary: the first academy awards shows have been in that hotel.

It has a nice outdoor swimming pool, with a bar,
The hotel rooms are nice and room service is very good.

The grand hall has a bar. And sometime some shows/partys are here where you can spot sometime celebrities.

The room rates might be more in the higher level but its by far worth it.

Place is historic ,but the management charges a service fee on top of the regular prices on food and drinks you order poolside and cafe.Other hotels I've stayed at have never had a service fee.Greed is the only answer I could assume.

Unique hotel reminiscent of the hotel in American Horror Story. Older and charming, expensive as you might expect given the location...pool area great, right on the Blvd so handy to everything.

We went to 25 degrees for burgers and drinks. Everything was good. Then headed up stairs to Spare Room for bowling and drinks. The score keeper was cool. Very 1920s atmosphere. Everything was pricey. $100 per hour for bowing but hey its a 70 year old lane. Valletta was reasonable and they validate part of it when you eat there so worth parking on property.

This hotel was amazing, and I stayed there for three days. They slept in a neat and cozy bunk. Customers would definitely have a good time when they are here. It was an incredible food. The facilities were satisfactory.

Nice place but we didn t see the library bar. We sent to the bar near the pool. The waitress was awful, absent (i finally ordered at the bar by myself after a long wait) then she made mistake on the bill.

We tried to check in a hour early and room wasnt ready. We were told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. We went and got something to eat and came back at 2:45. We were once again told the room wasnt ready...they were waiting on the manager to clear it. We were told 15 minutes again. 30 minutes later and after the 3pm standard check in, it still wasnt ready. I told them that we had to get in a room because we needed to start getting dressed for the Premiere we were attending at Graumans. 15 minutes later, we finally received our keys saying they had to paint something in the closet and they were afraid the paint would still be wet when we went in there. We got in our room and there isnt even a closet! The room was really warm, so we turned the air down. That didnt do a thing...the air didnt work. We didnt have time to do anything...we were already running late to our event. We came back to our room around 1130pm and were ready to go to bed. We tried to pull out the sofa bed, and it didnt come out all the way. We had to call the desk to get that fixed...at midnight. Then there werent any sheets or pillows for it, so they had to bring some up for it. Mind you it is still hot in the room. In the morning I went down to get some coffee and it was empty...no one around to ask to refill it. We went to check out and I expected them to ask us how our stay was. I planned on saying something at that point, but was never asked. I was asked for my room number and then told ok, youre all set. I wasnt given a receipt. I had to ask for one and they seemed inconvenienced that I wanted it printed out. I was furious that I paid almost $700 for one night for a room and experience that is less than I pay for staying at a La Quinta or Comfort inn. I will never stay there again, nor will I tell anyone else to.

I love this hotel as well as the history behind it. The service is always 5 out of 5. At the pool u can count on Sofia and Sergio providing you great service and being extremely friendly while staying professional along with accommodating.

Thank you to all the staff for keeping this property alive.

Check in was a breeze. Staff were promt and very helpful. They informed us of an event in the pool area, concert. Offered to move us to the tower as it would be going late. Room was a nice size, Cabana room. Clean and retro modern. All the More

Never experienced a more unprofessional General Manager. Lower staff was immensely more professional and it was obvious that they put the customer first, General Management was absurdly rude and more than disrespectful regarding discussion about hotel and hotel environment, will not be returning to the Roosevelt because of their unprofessional staff

Got in before check-in time, they told me I could check in early but only if I upgraded to the next size suite because that was the only one available. I thought it was worth the earlier check in so I went ahead and upgraded. Get to my room to find out it s the size of a shoebox (wonder what it would ve been if I hadn t upgraded?) That night I discovered how disgusting the room was. Razor hair in the shower, hair in the toilet, hair in the bed, it was so obvious the room hadn t been cleaned at all. Stains on the bed too. When I told the front desk, they told me I should ve told them earlier and they would ve switched me into a different room. No refund. Okay. The following night my friends were arriving so we were all splitting a room together. I watched in awe as they pulled the exact same upgrade scheme on them. No we can t check you in early unless you upgrade to the next available suite. They even tried to get us to upgrade and pay even more. We upgraded so we could put our luggage away. We get to the room and this one s better thankfully, looks clean if you don t look at anything too close. We decided we wanted to leave our trip a night earlier than planned due to the pandemic that s currently overtaking the world and the front desk told us no problem, we will refund the night you don t stay due to the circumstances. Now I hear from my friends that they are refusing to refund. While the Hollywood Roosevelt may be fun looking and kitschy, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. Unless you want to waste a bunch of money on unsanitary rooms. Stay away!!!!

I was not pleased with my experience here. The hotel rooms are nice but the overall hotel is lacking. I was especially disappointed with the Valet. First, even though we were overnight guests, parking was $40 for the night. When we were checking out, we called ahead of time to make sure that our car was ready. We checked out and then went to wait for our car. 30 minutes went by before we finally just asked where our car was. This is when the finally come up to us and tell us that they cannot find the keys. I have a feeling we would have kept waiting and they never would have said anything. Then the valet manager comes to talk to us and tell us that they lost my keys. We calmly talk to him and explain what the keys look like and say that we had plans and that we were running late. They offered to pay for a Taxi to take us where we wanted to go. As we were asking logistics questions he kept interupting us and telling us to "be calm" and "be patient with them". We were being calm and patient. Finally, after another 10 minutes they finally "found" our keys because they just needed to ask what was on them. We left and will never return to this hotel.

I went here a bit early on a Friday, around 2:00 PM to grab a drink with a couple of friends. We sat poolside, near the fireplace. It was not busy and they were having a champagne tasting event. Left within a couple of hours, but by then people were beginning to arrive in groups. Valet was around $25, but there is street parking and a parking structure across the street.

I was here attending an after party for a film during the AFI film festival. Nothing spectacular to speak of. The interior of the lobby and ballroom was clean and the decor retained the old architecture of the time when the hotel was built. There was nothing about the venue that stood out to me. It's in the middle of a central tourist area so there was a lot of foot traffic as well.

The room 502 had crumbs on the table, hand prints on the wall, painting tape was still on the side of the mirror in the bathroom, I have pictures. They applied unauthorized charges to my debit card 3 weeks after I check out! Sketchy, disrespectful, and unreliable staff from front desk all the way up to management. I wouldn't stay here again if someone paid me to. Not impressed. Very UNPROFESSIONAL.

It was a first-class hotel! I was not mistaken about coming to this place because all of my inquiries were excellently addressed by their polite crew. I am deeply impressed by how they handled the service correctly with no hassles at all. Your wonderful and affordable service was strongly recommended! Exceptional!

The hotel is beautiful! Our room was decorated beautifully. The staff at the hotel are very professional, friendly & helpful. The next time I visit Los Angeles, I will definitely stay at the Roosevelt!!! It is a very great location. Walking distance to many of the LA must sees!!

I did not spend the night here. I only sat in the lobby and enjoyed the white Russians from the bar. I loved the old nostalgic pictures in the lobby. It was very cozy and relaxing. I always took my out of town guests here. We were all impressed. Oh, and I never felt a presence of a ghost; never.

Historic hotel with lots of character. Room in main building was small. Bathrooms were even smaller with terrible design in shower spraying everywhere with no curtain. Service was ordinary. No one went above and beyond except Holly at the front desk.

This was the worst hotel experience I've had in my entire life. Nothing against the staff but simply the stay was terrible. AC wasn't working, guy comes in and has to fix it which still never really worked properly. TV connection was extremely poor and the AC tech reset the TV which did not fix it either. Bathtub had hair and wasn't cleaned properly. Bugs in the room, im talking centipedes. When I called to book a room, I was offered a Poolside Room with a cabana and no one mentioned the pool being shut but when i got there they said it was closed due to Covid-19 (which is understandable). I've come to the Roosevelt a few times, mostly to Teddy's and to attend professional gatherings. Everyone spoke highly of the hotel and this experience definitely will not have me book a room here again.

I stayed at the Roosevelt for 3 nights for business, checkin is supposed to be at 3pm i did not get my room until 6 and then had to switch rooms because it was not the one that I booked. My luggage was never delivered to the room which they said it would be sent right up , so I had to go back to the lobby to get it myself. After I checked out of the room they charged me with a 250$ deep cleaning fee which I have never heard of I was on a business trip had no one else in the room and was barley in it. They were extremely rude on the phone and would not refund my money or help in any way. The place is extremely loud to the point where you can t even fall asleep at night bathroom was filthy. Such a bad experience will never be back !

This hotel is gorgeous and very high end. My only gripes are that the beds have very sharp edges at the base that are shin killers and that there is no coffee maker in the room.

The pool is awesome, the public space are gorgeous, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
