Hotel staff was very courteous and professional. I stayed in the cabana suites. The first thing that hits you is the musty smell walking down the hallways. Had my wife been with me, she would have marched right back out. The furniture in the rooms are perplexing, as if made for a small person? The desk, bed and nightstands don't stand more than 10 inches tall... seriously. When walking thru the pool area, a few unsavory characters and a cloud of pot smoke to navigate thru. Location is convenient to walk of fame, etc. but take my advice and stay at a more modern hotel - even if further away.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly and even waved a day off the cost of my final bill. I loved the vibe, the interior decor, and location. I can't wait to go back! Thanks guys!

Spent a Saturday afternoon here with friends. Paid $40 for a towel, fruit tray and water. After being indoors for a few months it was a nice way to get out without feeling like I would catch covid! Lol

Well I would give this hotel five stars except for the fact that I came during the Sundance Film Festival and some other screenwriters thing and I didn't know how formal of a hotel this was! I came on my birthday with my husband and a couple friends for a good time this hotel has a long history and I remember staying there back in the 90s in a beautiful Master Suite with all the amenities! The last time I went they did not have the Cordial welcoming feel that you get at such hotels such as Loews at Highland and Hollywood. At the Loews Hotel you could go in dressed however you felt like and when I went to the ROOSEVELT first time I walk down stairs and I was dressed in nice clothes I just wasn't wearing a dress or anything and was just looking for the bar and went to a restaurant and the lady just right off the bat said you have to be a guest to eat here and needless to say when I made reservations and came down later with my husband and had the lobster and filet mignon as we were next to famous actors and musicians it was only a few of us in the restaurant and the other people in the restaurant were very famous I cannot say who they were but one of them was wearing just a T-shirt and Levi's and the other was in a full mink coat! With more diamonds then I think think Tiffany's has in their store LOL. After dinner we went out and caught our limo and they were all sorts of Paparazzi outside which is not unusual same at Lowe's but this time they were rude I guess they assumed by our looks that we were not anything special and since the Screen Actors Guild was there and everything people made comments like oh everybody thinks they're a movie star actually we were on our way to the scream Awards! Little did they know. But it's just the fact I like a hotel where they welcome you regardless of what you look like because looks are very deceiving! If I wanted to I could have come in with a mink coat and everything else I didn't. But I'll tell you we were in a two bedroom suite with a living room and they even had turndown service and gave you candies on your pillow at night! The only other thing I don't like about it was it was so dark. Now there's lots of ghost stories from this hotel for people who are into that sort of thing but it does give you kind of a forbidding feeling. A little uncomfortable. Maybe it was just that night but a lot of the After parties for the big events such as the Grammys and whatnot are held at the Roosevelt so it's not uncommon for an entire bar to be shut down and only Screen Actors Guild members allowed well the rest of the tenants have to go to the pool to drink or the restaurant when they are open. I don't give it 5 stars because of the rudeness of the staff assuming that I did not live there because how I was dressed when in reality I was staying in one of the most expensive Suites in the hotel. So I'm sure the lady did get talk to about her rudeness with me and I must say the Dakota restaurant as it was called at the time has excellent food and incredible service! Full 5-star service. It's really not shocking to see that their prices are actually cheaper than Lowe's now because Lowe's so much more welcoming and has a lot more on the premises although the Roosevelt has been a long-standing Hollywood who's who a famous people place to go. It's definitely a hotel where you want to stay for more than one night just because there's so much to do and it is so nice.

Historically known for Marilyn Monroe' suite, the hotel rooms are clean, but some are small. Plenty of parking. Swimming pool side bar, lounges. The hotel hosts a number of events throughout the year, including press media. Prices and more details available on their website.

Apparently the fact of going to Los Angeles is going to suppose that anything can surprise you and this super hotel is no exception, because it is not only one of the most iconic hotels in Los Angeles, because it is a building that I recommend coming to visit just to see the surprises that await you

The staff here are VERY rude. We called ahead and asked for early checkin and hypo allergenic room and when we got there neither were ready, then the staff tried to tell me I'd have to wait even though they had another room ready. Eventually they did offer me an upgrade but were still snooty and rude.

Also the valet dudes were super rude. Yelled at my Uber driver for taking too long to load my luggage. Real ass holes at the Roosevelt.

But the rooms are cool haha

Classic hotel, great location, historic building, cool bars and pool area. I'd hit it.

Only thing is some of the prices are outrageous (parking, coffee, water/sandals in room), and the elevators are slow.

Sat in the amazingly gorgeous lobby to enjoy drinks and dessert. I would recommend to any weary traveler who wants to escape the madness of Hollywood Blvd and luxuriate in times gone by - stop in and have a drink. Next time we'll have to get a room and stay.

I had $1,000 taken out of my safe and I went to security they only suspected that my friend who was in the room may have taken it but that is very highly impossible as she does not know the code (she runs a very successful business) it's a security issue they didn't do a proper investigation and tried to point the finger on my friend instead when it's very clear to me that one of the employee have gotten in and took it ! So basically nothing was resolved and will not recommend this hotel to anyone and happily will share this story to many people! Do NOT stay here unless you like your personal belongings stolen

Their room service sucks. The worst I've ever seen. Sometimes you go to check in and they accidentally booked the room you reserved so you get a crappier on (e.g. King bed downgraded to Two Doubles). The location is excellent. Love their onsite gym and the pool closes late. Their restaurant is really good if you go there for brunch, but way over priced for what it offers. It's always crowded in the lobby. The staff is very pleasant.

I've been here two years in a row for my girlfriend's birthday at the Spare Room, and it has been great both times. The customer service is awesome, the lanes are very cool, and Donald who keeps score kicks ass. I will be back for sure

I want to love this hotel, but every time I stay there, I get the creepiest/haunted vibes. Rooms are small and dark, as are the hallways. The big draw at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is the pool area.

Beautiful interior. It's a great place to go out for a drink with friends- the only drawback is he noise level. Not a place for an intimate conversation but if a fun, lively atmosphere is what you want this is the place.

Went to the bar in there and I had a pretty good time. It's kinda small, but not in a bad way. The bartenders were friendly, their karaoke people were funny and the drinks aren't overpriced. They also have 2 bowling lanes in there, but who would pay $100 an hour to go bowling?

Stayed here in room 1011 with my wife and 18 month...

Stayed here in room 1011 with my wife and 18 month old daughter. This place seemed nice at first glance but the charm was a facade and everything quickly deteriorated in quality.

They were hosting an art fair while we were staying at the hotel which made catching an elevator up or down a total nightmare (especially with a stroller). The staff tried to be as helpful as possible but this festival was clearly oversubscribed for the capabilities of the building. The 2 slow, old elevators made the situation unbearable.

Then, in our room, the least annoying problem was the TV was not working. In order to use the TV you had to unplug it from the wall and then plug it back in. If you did that the TV would work until you turned it off again. Not a huge deal but pretty annoying.

The next problem we experienced was our air conditioning broke in the middle of the night every night. The room would not get below 75 degrees in the middle of the night despite outside temperatures in the high 40s. It was rather odd but made it difficult to sleep in such a warm room.

Lastly, we had our 18 month old and reserved a crib. When we arrived the crib was not yet setup so we called the front desk multiple times to have a crib delivered. They weren't very responsive, likely due to the capacity issues with the art fair. The crib arrived while we were out at dinner and we quickly got our daughter ready for bed. She was exhausted at this point due to the time change and as soon as we had her dressed for bed I laid her down in the crib. The mattress of the crib then fell directly through the bottom and the metal structure collapsed. The staff had not setup the crib properly. They had forgotten to install the wood base for the mattress that gives the crib it's structural rigidity.

Thankfully my daughter was not hurt by this incident; however, she was extremely scared.

I called the front desk and, though i was clearly not happy I didn't yell or get over excited with the lady on the phone. After explaining the situation her response was "don't take it out on me". Flabbergasted by this response, i asked her what the appropriate action would be to get this resolved ASAP as my daughter needs to get to sleep. She said they'd send someone right up. About 15 minutes later someone showed up, took a look at the crib, said "yeah they did not set that up correctly at all". Finally, after another 15 minutes with an increasingly cranky baby we were able to get her safely in the crib and put to bed.

Anyway, this hotel clearly does not care about their paying guests if they have another event going on. They prioritize the event and it's patrons above the safety and well being of the people renting rooms. I wouldn not recommend this hotel.

Has a chic feel. Would stay again. The staff was very friendly which is always nice. The hotel is a little worn down in parts (like the hallway carpet). Shower is a weird setup but that contributes to its charm.

I hate LA. But, I will come to LA just if I can stay at the Roosevelt.

Friendly service, clean, sexy and modern it s the perfect LA weekend getaway destination.

We stayed off season on a Friday in November, but even then saw and experienced a full range of exciting people and events. There was a private Coca-Cola event, as well as an Audi event going on that weekend. Also, the cocktail server at the pool reminisced with us about how Miley Cyrus was there only the week before. Expect to be seen, and see the unexpected.

With this said, it is a little on the pricier side of things. But truthfully, you pay for the location and for the ambience. You can walk right outside the hotel and just scream Hello, Hollywood! It s that city-centric.

Fare thee well, Roosevelt Hotel. Until we meet again.
