Beautiful hotel in person but they took the "Marilyn Monroe Mirror" out of the lobby and put it away and out of sight for guests to see/visit. I specifically came here to see the mirror and was very disappointed when the receptionist told me that it wasn't on display anymore.

Only came into the historical lobby lounge where a friendly cocktail waitress offered drinks from the bar. The selection of drinks and their prices were moderate. The classic decor and furniture made you feel like you went back in time.

The internet service here is absolutely atrocious. I was staying with many friends, and everyone had the same experience - beyond bad internet. Beds are comfortable, but the shower heads are also bad. Water barely comes out. Tub also drains really slow. Kept hearing random banging and metallic noises coming from the bathroom vent too... Yikes.

Just checked in to this really nice hotel. Clean, room is spacious, bed comfortable, love the pillows! Good shower head! Keurig machine a plus! Things to keep in mind, internet $9.95 per day unless you are a loyal member and parking is $49 per night with in and out privileges. Overall no complaints.

The Roosevelt Hotel is a nice place to stay. Lots of Hollywood history and right in the heart of Hollywood. Room was a little on the small side (wasn t there to hang out in the room) and had 1 hiccup with the front desk special request. Took 5 times of asking before we got the pillows switched out because my wife is allergic to down. Saying this Henry the manager did make it right and gave us breakfast at 25* the next morning. Coffee would be nice in the rooms but is available in the lobby in t he morning. I would recommend Roosevelt to others based on our stay.

This was a very nice hotel. The bed is comfy and the pillows are comfy. But then we figured out that people can just walk into your room because they have an all access key. And management does not handle it and hang up on you because they are too stressed.

The hotel is nice it has updated its rooms in the main tower and the cabana rooms by the pool have a feel for its historic heritage BUT after staying for 4 days we were never advised when we checked in that they would be charging us $45 ($36 +tax) a day for checking our rental car in everyday we stayed with them. Nice customer service. I rarely write reviews but these are fees you don't surprise your guests with. It's not the money it's the principal! Bad customer service my friend is a rep there and will def let him know how they treat their guests.

A great hotel with Hollywood flair. Great location. Very friendly staff. Extras are a little too expensive. But you get used to it. The pool is the heart of the hotel and a real highlight. The rooms are chic and cozy. However, a bit older.

Prime location, great views.

Prime location, great views.

The downsides would be the slow elevators, small rooms and the bright light that shines into the rooms facing west.

Overall nice hotel, would I stay here again? Not sure.

Easy check in process. You do have to pay for WiFi. Great location. Very clean room. Got an upgrade to a suite!!!! Perfect. Creepy gym and location. Wasn't a fan of walking outside in the dark at 5am.... Great roomservice! Recommend for business (like me) or pleasure.

Came here back in 2009 and now 10 years later it's still the same. The ballroom was set up nicely.
The way we were allowed to get into the event was through a guest list. I believe the staff was not ready for this because after an hour and 20 minutes we were all just allowed to get in without any form of checking.
I'm not sure if it's the venue or the guests who held the event. People were allowed to smoke indoors which was not so pleasant for us non smokers. The bar was disorganized and had such a small but efficient staff to handle us all and was extremely overpriced for such small drinks.
The dj was Ok.
We still had some fun.

GREAT STAFF!!! Very nice place to stay at.
Great location.
Only issues they really should invest in small microwave. I never been in a resort where there is not a mini microwave in the room and I travel a WHOLE LOT..

Great Hollywood hotel. The staff was friendly and very informative. The room was pleasant. I stayed in a Cabana and it was great. A lot of good night life at this hotel so if you are looking for quiet and cozy it might not be for you but otherwise highly recommended

Rooms were very Nostalgic in a good way. I can see why Marilyn Monroe loved it. Poolside drinks, cabanas and a dark bar on the inside with very eccentric drinks and food. Its been renovated but they keep the old hollywood glamour. A plus!!!

This hotel is a classic! Rooms are kept clean and enjoyed the celebrity photos to keep you entertained during the trips on the elevator, which is slow, by the way. The rooms are small, but it was built back in the day, right?

Very convenient to everything! Only half a mile away from food, shopping and entertainment!

Yes the prices are a bit high, and the parking charges of 40 each day kinda sucks, but if you want that Hollywood experience, you need to stay here at least once.

Just stayed for the second time at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and once again I was not disappointed. Everyone working there was polite, professional and quick to assist. It is rare to get this type of customer service from the start of the experience with the valet to checking out. If you are looking for a great hotel that is close to many LA attractions this is the place to stay.

Overall this was a lovely hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and polite. The building itself is gorgeous. The pool, a dream. My issues were 1. Heaven help you if you want to get any sleep past 7am in room 234 in the cabana rooms. The door to the bridge which connects you to the rest of the hotel is obscenely loud. 2. Housekeeping is inconsistent at best. They leave you one (for 4 days) bar of soap and then remove the body wash after you've only had it for one day. No shampoo, no conditioner. So that's it for toiletries, one bar of soap, 2 body lotions and a body wash that appears on the second day and disappears on the third. The spare toilet paper was never replaced. The room was clean but I wiped off a lot of black stuff on the shower walls with a washcloth. Awesome. 3. Everytime I had to call for room service or the front desk (missing hair dryer, morning coffee, etc) I had to call twice.

And last but not least, the final day before we checked out the hotel rented out the pool for a film shoot. Ok, cool, whatever. When I called the front desk to inquire how long the crew would be there because they made an awful lot of noise, I was informed "they paid a lot of money to film here". Ok....I paid a lot of money to stay in a hotel, not a film studio. I personally feel that the best solution would be to better sound proof the rooms but what do I know.

So, in a nutshell, the hotel is beautiful, historic, cool, a bit exasperating and the pool is an absolute mad house. Especially on weekends and most definitely not a place for kids. ( One presumably intoxicated woman wasn't shy about the fact that she wasnt wearing bottoms).
This hotel has some issues but it's got tons of charm.
