Great pool! Friendly and terrific ambiance. Can forgive them for highway robbery parking fees since it's a hotel for the very rich :) however, they definitely need to fire the person who chose the bed frames. The heavy wood sticks out way beyond the mattress making for several bruised shins. Someone in the lobby should take a bruised shin survey of the guests! That said: Fantastic bedding and pillows.

Nice inside the lobby, I only went in as a visitor but all the mivie star pictures have gone from the 2nd floor where the academy room is and the Charlie Chaplin seated statue is no longer on display. I preferred this iconic hotel a few years back when it was a visitor attraction

Hotel rooms and restuarant were really nice. The location of the hotel was in the heart of boulevard - always busy and buzzing. Staff were always on hand.

No free water or kettle in the room was disappointing, complimentary coffee advise as available in lobby - but after a long trek or first thing, a cuppa in the room is always nice. Starbucks right across street sorted the morning requirements.

Arriving on Sunday afternoon, the full swing pool party and excessive teen/twenty-something flesh in high heels in every public corner of the hotel can be a bit overwhelming, it's what the hotel is famous for so just be ready.

Overall great location and famous hotel. Would stay again and recommend to others, just be sure of what to expect.

So amazing. Great atmosphere! Small rooms but comfy beds and a mini fridge. Beautiful decor and old time photos of Hollywood stars such as Marilyn Monroe. There's a bar and restaurant downstairs. Fountain features inside. Friendly staff. Great location! Hollywood high school is right behind the motel. And of course you're on Hollywood Blvd. Vallet parking. And they throw amazing parties on the roof.

Stayed in a Cabana downstairs by the pool, and also stayed in the Marilyn Suite. Had a hard time getting towels and robes (called for them 4 times) in the Cabana, and the air conditioning in the Marilyn Suite was non-functional the whole stay there. I love the way the hotel is set up, and the novelty of it all was fascinating. I would absolutely stay again, staff was so accommodating and apologetic for any inconveniences. For someone like me that does not need all the glitz and glamour the Cabana suites are quaint and beautiful. Probably the most posh pool party during the weekend I have ever attended. Thank you again to everyone at the Roosevelt for making vacation in Hollywood such a lovely experience.

I been enjoying this lovely landmark since 1988. Alphy's Soda Pop club. Club for teenage stars...Hung out with Cory Feldman, Corey Haim, Alyssa Milano, Soleil Moonfry, David Mendenhall, Jason Harvey, Alphonso Ribero, Ricky Shroeder to name a few. TV in the 80s was awesome.

Great location for a visit to Hollywood! All extras expensive eg. Parking, mini bar, etc. However, the burger restaurant in the hotel is really recommendable. The maid had difficulties always for 4 persons to put towels - after a short call, but the missing towels came immediately. The rooms are small but functional.

My wife and I had a fabulous time at the The Hollywood Roosevelt! We could not have been happier with our stay. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and recommended several local restaurants during our stay. The rooms are super clean and very tastefully decorated. The shower is definitely a highlight!! We rented the bikes and took a fantastic ride down to South Congress for shopping and lunch at Homeslice Pizza!! I would give six stars if I could....an amazing experience!

Very central, great bowling alley, well equipped gym and nice pool however reception and foyer feels cold and unfriendly and both areas need an extreme makeover. Rooms need some power points replaced with modern combined all in one power and 2.4A USB points

Love the building. Gets lots of traffic but it's always clean. Staff are not just polite but genuinely nice and helpful. Airconditioner in room was perfect. Best hotel experience I've ever had.

Any tour or visit to Hollywood should start right here. Because the Hollywood Roosevelt is where it all started. A joint venture between Hollywood's first blockbuster star, Douglas Fairbanks, and Sid Grauman, the legendary hotel opened in 1927 and immediately hosted the first Academy Awards. The rest is Old Hollywood history. Today the hotel is enjoyed by all people from all walks of life, and who knows, maybe even some future legends.

Rubbish hotel. $300 A room not including breakfast, Wi-Fi or even water. 2 lifts for 300 rooms and slow front counter service make checking out an awful experience. They sell rooms on their old reputation but actually their service is below average. I do not recommend this hotel.

We've come to this hotel a number of times and enjoyed all our stays. Perfectly located on Hollywood Blvd, with the Walk of Fame just outside the hotel. Their Cabana rooms with view on the pool are highly recommended. It feels like they were renovated very recently, and are reasonably insulated so manageably quiet despite a very active pool scene (but expect to be surrounded by parties, it's part of the charm!). The pool itself is fantastic, nice size. There is also a cool poolside bar to enjoy. Service throughout the hotel was good; room service was efficient and food very tasty.

So, the room was extremely tiny for the price we paid. Like, difficult to leave your suitcase open kind of small. We were a little stir crazy by the end of our three days. But the staff was nice, room service was good but, again, expensive. A grilled cheese (no sides or drinks) ended up being about $20... But it was a very good grilled cheese and it was pretty big. Free coffee offered in lobby was nice. Great location.

The place has a lot of history (and a little bit of spooky), is centrally located, friendly staff. But the rooms are old and cramped, there are literally two elevators servicing the entire hotel and they are old fashioned and slow. Go there for your dose of history, but there are better alternatives if you're looking for comfort, modern amenities and convenience.

The property was clean and the staff was so friendly. I left Florida with my brother to get away for a bit and Nicole was a HUGE help. As well as Amy. I wish I could remember all staffs names. But everyone from front desk, pool service, custodial, valet and even security at the front. They were absolutely top of the line. I will definitely be back to see the wonderful staff and hotel. The location, great. The food, great. The drinks, great. The pool, great. Loved my stay and I hope to be back soon. Its just a place you have to experience and stay. HIGHLY recommend. I ll definitely be back soon. stay beautiful Hollywood Roosevelt

The interior is very beautiful and the internal staff is very nice. Worked here at an event being held in their ballroom. Also located very close to Hollywood/Highlands so you can visit the Walk of Stars, the many shops, catch a movie at El Capitan or TCL, or even attend a taping of the Jimmy Kimmel show nearby.

The Hollywood Roosevelt is a nice, if business like hotel deep in the heart of Hollywood. I really didn't like the fact they charged SO MUCH for wifi, in fact ,I felt nickel and dimed the entire time I was there but thems the breaks, I guess. I do like they just recently redid the rooms - they really did need an update - and the fact the Spare Room is a great place for drinks. Service at the hotel is top notch too! I left my shirt in the room and I called and picked it up a week later!

The location is of course great, the hotel chic - but just old-fashioned, but that makes the whole. Visually, I liked it. The biggest drawback for me was the staff. Unfortunately, this was - except at the front desk - often rather arrogant and only friendly, if there was a tip. When I did not have the bills for the bell one fast enough, an annoyed groan came. This is - I think - absolutely not. And only after the tip imagine and smile. I prefer to tip, if you are friendly from the beginning and not only after payment ... The second drawback for me was that the hotel is too expensive. I like to pay a lot for a hotel, but that a hotel has no WiFi or water included, is cheeky. I've stayed in much better hotels for the same price, including Hollywood. I would go there only as a stopgap, even if the hotel itself is beautiful. Especially young people and loud music - I love

Attended the movie night at the pool. It's a lovely setting and we had a great time, but drinks and food are expensive. That's to be expected at this type of place, though. It's a fun place to take out of town guests.
