Everything about this place is over priced and over hyped.

- Poor customer service - don't expect anyone to go out their way for you here.
- Small rooms
- $17 drinks
- $20 breakfast for some eggs and toast
- No coffee in the rooms and they stop giving free coffee in lobby at 9am
- Pool is dangerous, watch your stuff - the staff pretty much let's anyone walk around, there have been MANY reports of things stolen here.

Great hotel, it's beautiful and in a wonderful location, with very helpful staff and great services.

A great place to enjoy during your stay in Hollywood.

We were warmly greeted and offered a complimentary upgrade to the 11th floor which was a welcome surprise, great location and will be back again.

Very racist staff! In 2018, some of the staff in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is still highly prejudice. One of the bartenders at the hotel's restaurant recently refused to wait two African Americans, claiming that the only open table was "going to be reserved by someone", but did not know whom. So a group of non-reserved whites went came into the restaurant 5 minutes later and asked for a table, and were kindly escorted to the open one. Thankfully, the manager was called and the situation was handled, but that waiter/bartender (and many other racist ones like them) still work there. DO NOT EAT HERE if you are a minority, unless you're rich.

What a cool place. Has a haunted vibe which I am totally down for.

A lovely remnant of Old Hollywood. Graceful and charming. In hotel eateries are excellent.

My mom and I stayed here back in March of 2017, the hotel was gorgeous and the staff was accommodating for sure. The pool was beautiful, and room service was probably the best food I've ever had. There's a beautiful view of Hollywood Blvd from the burger restaurant and that was great. The awful part was the overall feeling there. We stayed on the 7th floor and our bathroom light would flip on and off all night long which was a sensored light you have to walk by to turn on. I'd get up and manually turn off the light and the second I'd lay back down it would flip right back on. It was creepy given the history and what people say goes on there. They switched us rooms and the same thing happened, they did give us a free breakfast which I guess was nice. Anyway I probably wouldn't stay again for that reason but everything here is gorgeous.

We had the company retreat in LA and stayed in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The location is super convenient, the hotel has very cool dining place and the bar. The staffs are all friendly. We even saw few movie star here.

Little known fact: you can prepurchase parking via app and use Roosevelt hotel valet parking. Valets were cool and quick. Great location right off Hollywood Blvd.

Everything was handled with efficiency and attention to every detail was given. The food was delicious, and the view was wonderful while dining. Thanks for doing such an outstanding job to make my stay so pleasurable!

This was our first stay at this hotel, but it won't be our last. The rooms are spacious, the air conditioning and other facilities are useful, and the hotel staff is courteous. I also had a great lunch at their buffet. Once again, thank you for a great experience!

The Hollywood Roosevelt has kept all of its old Hollywood charm without any of the Hollywood Boulevard turista feel. All of this service that I received here from the bar to the restaurant to the valet was all top notch and as one would expect from a boutique hotel.

This is a nice hotel. Good location in Hollywood. Proper swanky level for the price. The problem is they are super incredulous and arrogant about the inconvenience "private events" pose to their guests. The entire lobby area was closed. Guests could only enter and exit the hotel through the back door. We chose this hotel because the Teddy bar looked perfect to meet with clients. Now we had to site by the pool at the "pool bar". Not conducive to our needs.

I guess what even more irked me was the attitude the staff and even the desk manager I spoke to had about it. Basically they made me feel like I should be happy they were hosting some movie event at their hotel while I was staying there, rather than acknowledging it was a major inconvenience for my situation.

At any rate, it's a decent spot if you're just wanting to party around Hollywood. Pretty people hang out by the pool and rooms are OK. They just need to get over themselves and be more sensitive to guests when they're hosting their "LA private event" type things.

I attended a breast cancer benefit at this hotel in the main lobby. The hotel itself is historic and beautiful. It's an excellent place to hold an event, as it is spacious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I also really enjoy the bar. I definitely would like to come back to visit this hotel.

Place is okay. Place to strict. Everywhere you go. A security as you a question. All I was wearing was shorts tee and some candles to get some drinks at the pool

Marvellous rooms and amenities. Great view of the Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame. Valet was timely, and staff were quick to check in and out. Another place that really lives up to its fame!

Historic hotel with plenty to offer. Great spot for tourists. The bar in the lobby is great for a pre/post night drink.

Beautiful style of 1927 Architecture feel like going back in time early Hollywood glamorous and haunted .

The Roosevelt feels like a time warp. You have to get a drink at the Spare Room, it's a must.

very friendly staff,clean and good city-view corner room (no.1021). It is the best hotel which is exactly located at Hollywood Boulevard. But we didn't park our at Hotel (USD46/day). in this week, we parked at "Standard Parking " whose address is at 6922 Hollywood, USD25/day). I strongly recommend for this parking house because it is just next to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and very safe. it costs USD 25/day. you can let your car stay parkhous over nights. keep parking ticket with you all the time and pay it before returning your car. 0

Drinks are good. Kinda steep for what they serve though. Lobby is a chill place to chop it up with a bird before you take her back to the room yadigg.

Hollywood landmark hotel. Stat or stop in for drinks!

The atmosphere is as ornate and classy as the veneer it represents. The service, food, and accommodations are all fantastic, and its location is superb. Rooted in the heart of Hollywood, you can walk to most destinations like the Hollywood walk of fame or the Mann Chinese theater. I would highly recommend everything about this place.

I attended an event in the Oscar room, which lasted for two days. The hotel staff was very accommodating, though they overcharged for the lunch I ordered via room service. Still, the hotel is well-kept and historic!

Can t believe it s been a week since I ve been there, time does fly when you re having fun

We love the the old Hollywood classic feel and the staff are extremely hospitable and friendly. The pool is also a relaxing oasis to lounge and relax without all of the noise from Hollywood BLVD.

It s been years that I ve been out to the Roosevelt and it was always a good time back in the day I was there working and event and it was incredibly busy with a coinciding event happening at the same place but I wanted to make a point that people probably forget the valet and hotel staff never dropped the ball had a smile on their face and worked In a super timely manner so high-five to the staff for going above and beyond without breaking a sweat

A great historic hotel with fantastic rooms and amenities. World class staff ready to meet all expectations. Located right in the center of all things Hollywood. The room service is all you need without ever needing to leave the property for food and drinks. I always stop in to meet with clients at this hotel without any hassles.

We went to the library bar, a great small room with no menu. Just come in, talk about what you like to drink, and get a delicious cocktail. Easy and fun.

Awesome hotel! We got a Cabana room right by the pool for my girlfriend's 30th and it was fantastic. Pool party was on point. Unfortunately security wouldn't let us bring drinks to the pool from our room (literally 10ft away) so I have to dock a star but otherwise, great pool party spot! And very historical Hollywood.

It's a quintessential old-timey LA hotel. Plenty of good bars too, though drinks are a bit on the pricier side.

Free parking when you eat at the Public between 5-7pm.

I did not stay and only visited.

Very small beedrooms in an hotel located in a very dangerous sector of LA. Also, the Hotel closed the lobby and make the guest go back to the street because of a so call.."private event" in the lobby without any info about how to enter to the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in the middle of the night. For that they offer us a breakfast. And.. they didt event put shampoo in the bathroom in our second staying day. And..they charge us more than 1000 usd for four nights plus taxes.

My family and I were here in June 2019 and thought it was a very good hotel I hope we can go back there sometime when the corona virus is gone.

Hotel was bought out by a filming production. I was left to fend for myself for my remaining four days. I was HORRIFIED by the customer service I received regarding this matter. The woman who claims to be a "manager" tells me about the buyout, and that I must leave. With less than 24 hours notice, I was expected to find other sleeping arrangements, DURING A PANDEMIC. There was no offer of assistance. She said she "didn't know what to tell me" when I said I didn't have extra cash to pay for another place while waiting for the refund for my already paid for room. She also told me that she would only be refunding three of my six nights (even though after that day would have only been a total of two nights stayed)... This woman had no idea how to handle the situation and should be forced to take a customer service class to work in her position. This ruined an entire day of the time I had to spend in Hollywood. APPALLING. In the end, Jay, who understands how to treat customers, refunded one of my nights so in the end, I was only charged for one. However, there was still no offer to help make other arrangements for me to stay somewhere else. It should ABSOLUTELY be necessary for you to find, AND PAY, for other sleeping arrangements if you are forcing guests out. There is a much more detailed review posted on TripAdvisor dot com, but it is too long to post on Google.
