Horrible service and terrible staff, makes you never want to come back again. Beautiful hotel but the service makes it not worth it.

It's a swanky place but I'm not a fan of the Hollywood rabble/tourists.
Stayed at the location, great facility great rooms. We do a couple of events over there so it was really easy and simple to just register. I appreciate the counter very helpful. Roosevelt is a high-class hotel as everyone knows so specially in that location for tourism is great. Me as being in LA for a while was not as favoring to have a lot of tourism outside just because it was very complex for me and it was a little too overwhelming. But at the same time for every tourist it s a perfect spot for you to experience a lot of the Los Angeles culture and not just Los Angeles culture because it s very wide but a lot of the Los Angeles vibe. Thank you so much for the rooms it was very comfortable and I appreciate it!!
Also they have gym and they have the exercise facility which is not far away so it s very exclusive been very nice one working out early in the morning very very useful thank you!!
Amazing ambiance and venue. Uncaring staff. Overpriced drinks (almost $20 for a mojito).
It was ok nothing wow about it. Besides that strange death. Which is why I went.
Great for visitors to Hollywood. Old Hollywood glamour, great service and vegan burgers!
I didn't want to leave. Hotel staff was great. room was fabulous. I had one horrible night at an Airbnb. I should have stayed both nights here. Skip the Airbnb and stay at the Roosevelt. It is luxurious and close to all the fun!
Top notch, historic location, beautiful, expensive drinks.
I love the Library Bar here. The drinks are expensive but worth it.
Relatively reasonable price + great location (one block away from subway station / close to LA downtown and Hollywood if you drive) + cozy and clear room = 4 stars But minus one star since this hotel is little bit of rundown, and needs little bit of upgrade or renovation in the future. Overall the hotel is lovely and cozy. This is not a luxury Hotel. Not modern enough, not very upscale. But very lovely and cozy. However this hotel is little bit of rundown (you can notice some details inside the washroom) Their parking is very safe and easy. Staffs are very helpful and nice. Their courtyard is definitely a must for every visitor. Enjoy drinks and friends under the stars in the courtyard will be one of the highlights.
The Vulture Festival was a lot of fun. Overall, the ambiance and culture was great to be in.
Currently here for our honeymoon. The staff are so friendly. Had a room ready for us at 10am with a complimentary upgrade. Came back from the pool and had the cutest congrats note with some treats... highly recommend! (Also the beverages are amazing)
Absolutely VIP service, but hyper expensive. If you're rich it's perfect. If not it's Still great, if expensive.
Amazing comfort in the middle of Hollywood! Charming and luxurious. Catch a glimpse of a celebrity or two!
Went to the Tropicana Bar to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was fine.
So much history and walk out the door right on to Hollywood Boulevard
Great pool. Great service. Great night life. Enjoyed staying here.
Although, I never had the chance to stay in the rooms, for money wise it was out of my reach. I have been at several pool parties at this establishment. They were great, and I kind of enjoyed them. Of course, it would get crowded. The drinks, of course, were marked up at these parties. Still, I have been at the lobby, and they have a good bar there too. Furthermore, the drinks there are cheaper than at pool parties. The place itself is clean, and rooms, from pictures, look spacious.
Small rooms with an older feel. Wifi not included with the room.
Fantastic experience. Great check-in experience and valet staff are top notch. Live jazz in the lobby bar and well made cocktails. Lots of history here and decor recently restored to original character. Definitely worth it and within walking distance of all the standard Hollywood sites.
Great venue on the heart of Hollywood. Efficient and friendly staff, plush ambiance and excellent food.
I absolutely love this hotel establishment...Its worth the price especially since it's a historic hotel right off Hollywood blvd. Hotel service was wonderful the bed mattress was beyond comfortable whew talk about a good nights sleep. The pool area is simply amazing....I love this hotel and would certainly be back...
Beautiful! Very good staff too. Great experience here.
Room 322 at The Hollywood Roosevelt is the smallest, darkest most depressing room I have stayed in at a "first class hotel." Add the drone of construction from the floor below and AC that barely work $6 small Evian bottles, slow wifi you have to pay for and a cupboard bathroom and your picture is complete. AVOID.
Impressive stay, comfort and excellent treatment both in the Hotel and in the bar.
Without a doubt, I will return as soon as I can.
Lovely hotel. Well-appointed rooms, great amenities and a very friendly and helpful staff.
I decided to stay at the Roosevelt, and I'm quite happy I did. Other then the great location, the customer service here is top-notch from checking-in to checking-out and everything in between. This hotel is full of history and confidence. I highly recommend anyone visiting or looking for a staycation. My a/c started acting weird, and they had Engineering up in minutes, and everything was resolved promptly. Hotel Roosevelt will absolutely be my go-to Hotel when I visit LA.
Not a bad place to stay I will be back. However, paying 20 plus dollars a drink for a subpar cocktail outrageous. I got one round for myself in three of my friends spent $80 for a few cocktails and a beer. The room was nice and your on Hollywood Boulevard so not a bad price.
It's a beautiful place to go eat. I went there late at night and was surprised at how well kept the place was. Bathrooms were excellent.
This hotel has the old Hollywood vibe with modern touches. It s clean, well run and conveniently located to the Hollywood walk of fame. The burger joint downstairs is also super yummy. When I m looking for a fun weekend in LA - this spot is my go to! Only suggestion is that parking is pricey (50$ for 24 hours), so maybe plan to use a lot nearby.
Great atmosphere..great people lighting God rooms were great
I was there for a work function in the hidden room and the place was awesome.
Mixed feelings here. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of one because the front desk staff brought my son a present for his birthday, and they were very friendly and accommodating. Having said that, this place is disgusting and the farthest thing from clean. The bathroom floor was supposed to be white, closer to dark gray/blackish it was so dirty. If it weren't expensive and we already paid, we would have left. They dont even bother putting a top sheet on the beds. Also, they did a huge renovation not too long ago, and still only have elevator in one spot, and it happens to be the slowest elevator in existence. Bottom line though, this place is absolutely filthy and they need to step up their housekeeping game. And it is absolutely true you will run into corners of beds and injure yourself as everyone else mentioned.
Perfect location, comfortable rooms and nice service.
I always thought the hotel was outdated, but the rooms were pretty nice and comfortable. Convenient location for tourists.
A nice hotel, with nice clean rooms and cool vibe.
On the down side, it s full of events which sometime makes it harder to enjoy the facilities like closing an elevator or a bar for a event
Not a bad place. A little over the top and expensive.
The Roosevelt is in a great location, and has a classic ambience and environment that gives the sense of both class and fun. The pool area is beautiful, peaceful, and surprisingly quiet for its proximity to Hollywood Boulevard.
Pretty nice, classy hotel right on Hollywood walk of fame.
The bar was amazing the people are generous and polite and very walcomeing
We are currently staying here. It's morning 3 of 4. This has been one of the most pleasant experiences ever. The staff is insanely friendly, the food and service is incredible, and the location is perfect for easy access to everything. The only criticism I would make, and the reason this review is 4 stars and not 5, is that the room was a bit dirty when we checked in (some trash on the floor, hair in the sink, etc.). Just some small stuff, nothing upsetting. Overall so far a great experience! Thank you, staff at the Roosevelt!!
The library has amazing drinks, a great vibes but was a smaller sized venue. Would highly recommend.
Rude downstairs; upstairs cool but small. Very friendly. I am going back.
Great hotel with lots of history! We came for one day as layover on our honeymoon and they upgraded our room for no additional charge. Staff very friendly and they provide great service! Great location, walking distance to Chinese Theater, etc. We hope to come back again some day!
I had booked a two queen bed room. When I walked into my room I realized they had giving me a handicap room. The reason I confirm it was a handicap room was due to the barthroom it didn t had the regular countertop vanity. Also the room was extemely stuffy and hot and even though we turn on the AC it didn t really make a difference. I was so disappointed with my stay here in the hotel. Based on other ratings I thought I was going to be a great experience but it Was completely the opposite. When I check out I ask the guy at the reception if there was a reason why they game me this room. He didn t have an explanation!
It was a nice stay, aside the absence of wireless access relative to the cost of the room. The rooms are nice. But be prepared, it's a tourist destination.
An iconic and legendary piece of Hollywood History. Look for nightlife in The Spare Room!
Amazing atmosphere service was incredible as was the architecture.
We had an amazing time at the drive-in theater event!
Great Hollywood Pool Room Spot ( from the Movie " CATCH ME IF YOU CAN" t
Not too far from most attractions. We Will definately be coming back at The Hollywood Roosevelt
Great place to meet a friend. The ambience and service were clean & professional.
The hotel itself is reasonably nice but our issue was at check in. We booked 2 rooms a couple of months in advance. Our flight got in at 1 and check in is at 3 so we went to the hotel restaurant and ate and waited for the hotel to call when the room was ready. By 3:15 they still hadn't called as they said they would. I went to the front desk and they said only one room was ready. We all piled into that one room and waited for the second. At 4 pm I called and they said it still wasn't ready but would be ready soon. I questioned why they would have a 3 pm check in and not have rooms ready and they said they can't control when people check out. After this there was a knock on the door and an employee came by to check the wet bar inventory. We questioned why this wasn't done in advance of our arriving and she said there were too many rooms for her to check them all in advance. The wet bar items are pricey and had we consumed them and they were billed to the prior occupant I'm sure they would not have been happy. By 4:30 my jet lagged crew of 6 was fed up with being confined in the small room and I called down again to the front desk. Fifteen minutes later we finally were in both rooms. No offer was made to compensate us for the inconvenience. We will not be staying here again.
Great hotel. Pool parties in the summer and drinks at night.
Extremely professional staff and rooms are ALWAYS quiet at night and immaculate.
Clean, quiet, and upscale bar in the main lobby is a great place to go to for a change in atmosphere.
