Amazing service beautiful location! This hotel went above and beyond to offer a satisfactory stay. when I called to explain that I needed secured parking they noted with their security staff and front desk to assure that upon arrival I would be able to check in and park the car with no issues. Upon arrival I was greeted with a smile and directed to parking. The room was large and comfortable. Fully stocked mini bar!

We should have posted this review a year ago but were trying for a long time to get in touch with the manager about a situation we experienced there. We stayed at the Hollywood Roosevelt at a convention in the fall of 2019 and the building is gorgeous. We loved the old architecture and the people who worked there made us feel right at home--especially Mark, the bellhop, who went out of his way to help us in every way. We would have given the hotel 5 stars, but when we got to our room, the fridge was crammed with cans of soft drinks and there were junk food snacks in a tray nearby. We are health minded so we had to take the time to remove all the sodas from the inside of the refrigerator and replace it with our bottled waters and then when we went to leave and check out, we had to take the time to put all the cans back in the fridge. When we got home, we found our credit card had been debited for $10.95 for snacks we never ate. We tried several times to communicate with the manager via email but were never successful, so we finally gave up. The in-room snack/junk food fiasco was the only reason we gave it 3 stars. If we could, we would have given Mark all 5 stars! :)

Our stay at the Roosevelt was great. We were treated very well and our rooms were very nice. Definitely on the small side, but larger rooms are available. I do wish they had a spa available. They have a message therapist available, but they come to your room. It is located walking distance from Hollywood and Highland. I recommend it.

Awesome! Been here for so many times, and I always love to go back. The Hotel is at a good location, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Even the entire place of the hotel was very good to visit and chill. Honestly, I truly enjoyed it when I' around here. Thank you always for the good smile, and Keep it Up!

Stayed here for a conference with my Mother and LOVED everything about the hotel from the worn, original flooring to the gorgeous pool/bar area out the back.

The room we stayed in was very long and narrow and the bathroom small but it was trendy, super clean AND we even got a chocolate dipped fruit platter upon our arrival.
Some fantastic restaurants, clubs and bars inside, the staff are all very helpful and the location is great. The only slight criticism is how loud the music around the pool area can get late at night but hey, I'm not complaining- it gives the hotel a cool, happening vibe :)

Hotel not as advertised. Restaurant that is listed on the web site is closed for remodel. Pool and pool deck restaurant closed for the Oscars. Lobby bar closed for private event until 10 pm then when went back at 11 pm told was closed because it s slow right now . Lobby bar advertised as open until 2 am daily. Only option for my $500 a night suite was the 24 hour burger place. Not exactly what I was expecting for so much money every night. Will never return.

Horrible service the building is neglected feels trashy and taken for granted. Not sure the staff or owners know the history here. Made me sad, if Douglass Fairbanks were alive he'd be livid. Tropicana staff was neglectful and rude.

One of the older hotels, this is the place where the first Academy Awards ceremony was held. The rooms are decent though not very spacious, and they don't have basic facilities like tea/ coffee kettles in the rooms. Room service has a very limited selection, though they have an attached diner-like restaurant which has limited but tasty fare. Staff are friendly and courteous. The Hollywood walk of Fame is right outside the hotel, and one of the famous "Hollywood Walking Trails" starts a short 10-min walk away. Stay here if you're fond of the experience of staying at a "historic" place, but don't come with very high expectations so.you won't be disappointed.

Great rooms and ideal location, right in the middle of Hollywood.
Check-In and Concierge desks are not the most convenient.
There are cheaper options, but the Roosevelt is worth the splurge.

The drinks were (as always) excellent. The poolside bar however was closed which was odd for a Saturday evening and the restaurant out front took quite a while to have any available seating.

It's overrated, a little outdated, over priced and if you like guests smoking anything around you and your children, then go.. Otherwise there are much better places to go.
No coffee in room, $6 bottles of water, old small towels, one robe per room(sz Small) very small bathrooms but comfortable bed.

We spent 3 days in this hotel and had a good time. It is newly furnished room with such comfortable beds and all the basic necessities. They offered Onsen(Hot Spring) that is about 8 minutes walk through the hotel and it is so nice and make yourself so relaxing after a long day of travel and tiredness. Breakfast is buffet type and quite a lot to choose from. Highly recommended place for everyone!

2 Days Only to LA, Perfect Location in a Very Nice Hotel. The pool is a little overloaded in the summer (and not by children). It seemed more like the RDV trendy with DJ, silicone and chocolate bar ... the price of consumption was also a little disconnected ...

We visited one morning for brekfast, however not very professional of staff to chase after you to accuse you of leaving the bill short only to discover you had in fact left the correct amount.

Waked in to the bar on a sunday night with a few friends and was immediately helped. The drinks were great and the atmosphere felt like a Hollywood Hotel should feel. I do wish they had a better craft beer selection but not sure what the usual coustomer at the hotel would order, there was definitely no IPA being poured. On a final note I loved the lobby and bar decor. Cheers!!

I called in advance to ask if the pool seats were rented out to third party promoters and if so, could I please get in contact with them to be assured I would have a seat. I was assured that hotel guests get first priority at the pool. I spent $3,500 to stay at the hotel for a week. While there, the pool was completely closed off to me for a fashion show on Sunday and I was not permitted to sit in a chair or lounge 4th of July because the seats had been sold by a third party.

The hotel is perfect for those who want to see everything. Most of the big places are 5-15 minutes away by vehicle. I'd recommend walking or using an Uber over driving yourself though, the parking is valet, rather than self-done. The rooms are pretty good for the location and cost.

Really cool hotel. Always something going on by the pool and Sunday pool parties are really good. Beware if you wanna have a relaxing holiday, don't get a hotel room by the pool.
