Beautiful historic hotel. Loved roaming around and seeing everything. The staff is super kind. And I fangirled when I found out the Tower of Terror rode at Disney was designed after this hotel!
this place is haunted some visitors have ghost or faces in the mirror
Really nice and vintage, but lobby elevators had out of date permits and were full of garbage.
I use to live around the corner from the Roosevelt and at every open opportunity I dropped in. whether it be for a swim, to lounge around the pool, for food, for drinks. whatever you name it I was there. and I've also been to the rooms, I always recommended that people stay there and have only heard good things!
Fabulous rooms, great staff, amazing location right on Hollywood Blvd Would return again
Just met up with someone briefly. The outside was not impressive given the age of the building, but the refabrication inside was impressive. So really it is interesting to see a historical landmark that has modern relevance given what's been done to it on the inside. Very tasteful.
Great atmosphere and happy hour. Service is ok if your sitting at a sofa but much better at the bar.
Went here for drinks at the bar. Service was good and the servers were friendly.
The valet stand is a mess. I waited for my car for over 30 minutes. The bathrooms are ill conceived. Water gets all over when showering and you have to wedge yourself into the not to use the toilet. The toilet paper is public school quality. The room is nice but there is no way to completely closed the curtains to block out the light completely.
Beautiful building inside and out. Great bar and bartender. Historican living and past.
Superb hotel! Well located on the Walk of Fame and 2 minutes from the metro. Lovely pool and spacious room.
Thier employees stole my hand truck and tried stealing my DJ gear as well, but we caught them in the act. UPDATE ON 03/08/20. Received what appears to be an automated response from the management at the Roosevelt (see below). He/she seems to somewhat offer a resolution, bot actually not. It doesn't make much sense, and I read through it several times. If they truly wanted to fix this situation, wouldn't they include some contact details?
Location, location, location! In the heart of Hollywood. Only 15 mins from Runyon canyon, 20 mins from Griffith observatory. Rooms are average size, bathroom was tiny but has all you need. Clean hotel with comfortable bed. No coffee maker in room, but a well stocked mini bar. The pool is nice and heated. Staff is excellent.
Great hotel. Been there at an after party. Loved it!
This used to be such a legendary spot I really really was sad to give this place one star iI even had to wait 3 days to make sure I did this review correct, so let's see because I went there on new years to celebrate with friends and just have a great time I had a reservation had bottle serves get to the roosevelt they had everything screwed up and it was just a miserable time for me i didn't even go in just terrible I was so upset
Nice place, cool bars , usually will see a celebrity or two walking around.
If ever I wanted to film the movie, The Shining, I would come back to this hotel. What is with the awkward baseball taped artwork? It looked absolutely atrocious. There was no theme and the color scheme was off. The furniture was not matching the room's colors. Every piece of furniture did zero favors to the room itself. The windows were that of a psychiatric ward's. Additionally, the windows were broken. The hallways looked unkept. The TV did not work at all. Water was not complimentary and was ridiculously expensive.
This place is very racist. I do not recommend this place at all. The staff member Henri should never work the door. He gave me a fake name, when I said I would report him to the management. This hotel is very overated and should be more like a two star hotel...Honestly
Went to a wedding at the Roosevelt hotel. Beautiful venue and a great rooftop bar.
You people do not know that there s ghosts haunted all over the place. I been room 1200 that the tv is on at 3 a.m morning I want to come again
Great venue, amazing atmosphere, and the event I went to hosted a tremendous showing of people.
The poolside chairs were wet, having them changed out for dry ones before the night scene starts would be nice.
Gary was very welcoming he allowed us teachers from Massachusetts a tour of the hotel helpful historical information thank you Gary
Great venue awesome staff. The nicest ambassador working today!! Loved her
Little pricey but the best burger I have ever had! 25*
The custom drinks were really good. Pretty pricey though.
Classic hotel on Hollywood Boulevard within walking distance of the tourist street and the Dolby Theater. The rooms by the pool (Cabana) are nice and cozy with a balcony facing the pool. Keep in mind that the pool will be renovated in March 2019.
The hotel has poor insulation so be prepared for noise from neighboring rooms and corridors.
Conveniently located and has a nice pool. A little downside: noise. The wall is probably too thin to protect you from the noise from other rooms and corridors. Especially in the morning, you will hear a lot going on from the house keeping crew from 7 am.
Enjoyed some drinks by the pool at the Tropicana. This is a really classy spot, great place to end a night out in Hollywood!
Great Bars inside and pool side. Great rooms w beautiful views. Love this big hotel.
Location location location! U can't be in better surrounding when in Hollywood! Overall it's a nice hotel but worth the high $$$
I went here for my friend's wedding and the place really brings back Hollywood glamour. The ball room is simply exquisite. As any other places in Hollywood, you need to get ready and be familiar with the parking. But this parking lot was surprisingly accessible. I give it two thumbs up!
I stay here a lot and it's a great hotel. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. There is a lot of history here and the pool is amazing. The bars are really good as well. Hotel is convenient to most of what you want to see and do in LA.
Beautiful rooms and an old world Hollywood feel. Gorgeous pool too! I loved my time here and highly recommended it.
This is a very good hotel! Staff is very nice very good service! The rooms are very nice. This hotel is amazing over all. I recommend staying at this hotel!
The hotel was nice but I woke up in the middle of the night to find a bed bug on me. I managed to bring them home and had to get my entire apartment fumigated several times. Lots of money spent, and it took a psychological toll on me.
Didn't stay here, but I had some drinks and food with some friends. First in the bar in the main lobby, then out by the pool. Great spot to chill! Next time I'm going bowling upstairs.
P.s. have one of the staff tell you the story about Charlie Chaplin teaching Shirley Temple how to tap dance!
beautiful womans there, like the bars in this place very nice!
Was there for Oscar viewing party. Very classy old world property well maintained and extremely friendly staff and service. Highly recommend
Extremely expensive
Not worth it in my opinion
It appears nice but has many major downfalls
Buffet wasn't all that to be 30 per person in my opinion
I felt welcomed upon my arrival. The bell boys greeted me and took my bags. The man at the front desk was kind. The location is at the center of Hollywood, everything is walking distance and I had no trouble whatsoever
Great location, very comfortable, maybe a bit dark, but overall positive.
Never stayed here but I walked inside . It is gorgeous. I want to stay one night.
Amazing Magic Show!!! Go see it! Drinks were delicious
Pool party was off the chain. Went for my bachelor party and it didn't disappoint. We booked a room on the pool level which provided easy access throughout the day. It's not cheap, but the crowd was super fun & friendly - the whole crew had a blast. The room itself was really luxurious especially the shower. Certainly a memorable experience.
Didn't stay long, great ambiance , pool side dining area looked great.
Nice hotel and The Public Kitchen Resturant and nice. The pool area is beautiful the evening.
A hotel that will relax you. It has a long history and many celebrities have lived here. And the first Oscar awards ceremony was held here, you can have a good time here!
4 stars for the hotel and 5 for library bar, which I frequent. One star for the bartender we had tonight. He didn't want to be there and didn't seem to want to serve us. Extremely rude. I love this place and will come back for sure, never seen this bartender before. Hopefully I don't again.
Arrive to request my room at 22 hrs and I have already been waiting 4 hours 3 rooms PREPAID. And they have not been able to assign me and their family room their explanation /
They do not have a system ... I think this is not a justification
The restaurant and bar are great lunch spots. Surprisingly not busy and great escape from tourists
