Holiday Inn JFK Review

Comfortable and quick shuttle ride from JFK. The lady at the front counter was very friendly, efficient and professional! The room was clean and comfy. Would definitely recommend!

Rooms were surprisingly big! A bit pricey, no breakfast.

It's an overpriced and underequipped hotel. They need more amenities for the price of the stay.

Stayed for 5 nights and all of the staff members I encountered throughout my stay were very friendly. The room was nice and clean, but pretty small for two people. My only major issue overall was that the despite the No Smoking signs everywhere, the hotel hallways and elevators wreaked of marijuana all day, everyday! If that s not your thing, then I d avoid.

I would like to give a special thank you to a great and professional staff member, Jessica, who went above and beyond to give great and professional service to my husband and I . From the very first encounter, she showed courtesy and compassion to us and made our stay so pleasant. She is a great asset to the company and her smile and sweetness comforted us in the time we were facing difficulty going to Florida due to the hurricane. The room was excellent, the restauranthe staff was amazing. We had a great experience and will definitely come back since we do lots of travelling. Jessica exceeds our expectation and I pray that God opens doors of success for her in this company or another.

Door wouldn't lock upon arrival, so they switched us rooms in the middle of the night, airplanes can be heard flying over head constantly as rooms bleed all sound from outside and halls, so do not sleep here if you are a light sleeper. After 12 hours our hotel keys expired and we couldn't access our room..then when trying to depart for the airport we found the tram only leaves on the top of the hour even after being told the tram runs every 15 minutes the night of our arrival... thus we had to waste money on an Uber to make it to the airport on time. Do not recommend for more than an overnight stay

Better that I expected very friendly receptionist and prompt and free transportation service to JFK

Location: not the best, but not the worst. Got a few restaurants mear and some shops.

It's a good idea to stay near the JFK international airport New York , just take air train to federal square and follow signs for shuttle bus . Take shuttle bus to hotel holiday inn .It's free of cost airport to hotel and hotel to airport. One day stay for two people may be USD 174 .

Liked my stay around me was restaurants and shopping places too. Clean room great staff and complementary airport drop.

I was at the Holiday INN because my connecting flight left 12 hours late. Excellent treatment.

Great room and service for an overnight layover at JFK. Bathrooms are small but the beds are comfortable and wifi worked well.

Very nice boutique style hotel. NYC tends to have very small rooms but this facility has surprisingly large rooms...by NYC standards. It is on the outskirts of JFK airport but much nicer and feels much safer as well. The restaurant has great food options and a warm friendly staff. Next time I have need to stay at JFK, I'll certainly consider this facility.

Front desk wouldn't changed my room when she had other rooms available. I had issues with the bathroom. Finally 12:30 in the am one of the front desk employees changed my room because I had a roach in the bathroom. I took pictures and videos of the roach as proof she was very friendly and polite, This hotel need more people like her.

This is a nice place it s right next to John F Kennedy AirPort Laguardia should get any negative review the clean there usually get to very easy do you airport is five minutes from the hotel that s including longer than you logged but I say this is a wild stab list please, Anthony for New York

Very very poor from desk staff. We just checked in and the lady at the front desk gave us 0 eye contact, no greeting, no smile, and she seemed as if we were a bother to her. Very very poor representation of what New York is suppose to be about. And to top of all off. The front desk staff gave us keys that do not work for our room. We went down to the desk for assistance and she tried to activate the keys a SECOND TIME and yet again the keys did not work. I am convinced this staff members is not capable of doing her job effectively. This is a huge inconvenience when we have been traveling ALLLLLLL day long. We will never return. NEVER.

Very convenient, ample parking, clean and guest snack bag was a nice useful surprise after a long flight. Tomika at front desk very kind and helpful.

Shuttle driver was scary. Ran a few red lights. Room was spacious. Lots of plugs for electronics. Pleasant staff.

There was a lot of noise coming from the hallway but you couldn't hear the planes. The room was clean and looked great.

Had a really nice experience. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and temperature was comfortable. Bed and pillows also comfortable. Hotel restaurant had limited menu choices but great service and tasty food with generous portions. There are also a good bit of fast and casual restaurants within driving distance. Everything looks updated and modern. Really appreciated the free and convenient shuttle to the airport. Would stay here again if I need to go to JFK.

I would not leave my car there again. Battery was dead due to alarm continuously going off.

Nice clean and comfortable room. Not sure of the neighborhood, but I am not from around here. Staff was friendly and courteous and I had a good night's rest.

Great location, a short shuttle ride from Federal Circle Station. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Pros: very clean, quiet, nice resturant good food, you pay.
Cons: incredibly small, no place to work, pull out table for desk, really???

Great staff! This location is very isolated from everything. The area is not very vibrant. My room was noisy due to street traffic all day and night. The staff did all that they could to make up for my unpleasant stay.

We chose to book this hotel mainly because of its location, it is in the city center and impeccable, but if you want to live in Old San Juan, there is a better choice. This is a small hotel with a small room, a small upper deck and a small bathroom. Mismatched pillows and sheets on the old wooden furniture, random sofa bed in the lobby, upstairs bathtub can be used for some cleaning (by the way they are very cold bathtub).

We stayed at the hotel for a night. Our room was very small, clean but badly sound-proofed, which kept us awake at night. Also, if you want to open more than one big suitcase, this will be difficult. The check-in was somehow challenging: CC wasn t accepted, one must wait after 3pm, and the staff seemed over-worked and unfriendly. At the kiosk, the price for one water bottle was 2$.
Unlike other reviews, the shuttle to the airport worked fine for us and the driver was super nice.

Good service with friendly staff. Good rooms with comfortable beds and adequate space. Overall the hotel meets all the expectations one would have for this hotel brand. However, the location is less than ideal; walking the area where hotel is located not recommended. Would recommend hotel if you need to stay near the airport for a night or two.

The Hotel is very convenient to JFK airport. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and is an added bonus for people who don't drive.
Transportation to shopping and restaurants at Green Acres Mall is reasonable and only 10 mins away.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and yes they could improve on the reception area, it is small.
I will be coming back in May with friends, this is my favorite hotel and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room accommodations were excellent and the front desk staff were very helpful.... However, the resident restaurant was overpriced and the quality of the food was below average. It seemed that the bar tender was providing alternative alcohol for top shelf" liquor.

I only stayed there for a few hours. The place was very clean and well-maintained. The customer service was very welcoming and pleasant to deal with.
I had the chance to try the local bar at the back of the hotel. They had plenty of options. I had the calamari dish and the beer they had on tap. Everything was great and the prices were very reasonable. There is a long-term parking lot across the street that is very convenient if you are flying from JFK.

Went there because I had a quick turnaround between flights and needed a shower/nap. We go there and had to wait close to an hour for their limited staff to clean a room. They should have told us, no rooms available!

The hotel was clean and well kept. Best customer service I have ever experienced in more than 35 years of traveling from the front desk to the maintenance crew & housekeeping staff!

For my short stay, it was a good experience. The bed some comfortable and everything in the room worked. Decent location from local shopping and food options with a 10 to 15 minute drive from the airport (straight road). Customer Service could of been better with more communication especially for being greeted as a member.
