Usually you'd think that a 'brand' named hotel would be a pleasant experience, After staying for 2 nights, I must say that it is the complete opposite of that. I checked in on a thursday, I was greeted by a nice enough man, who gave me a quote for $109 + a 30 dollar pet fee. That seemed nice enough, I was tired, so I booked it. I didn't know that I would soon regret my decision.

After entering my room, I quickly noticed that the hotel room was quite dirty, there was rancid dust everywhere. Apparently they didn't teach any of the maids to clean a room properly. Not to sound like a snob, but when you go to a hotel which is considered high class, you'd expect the room to be clean.

I had brought along a game console I own, because i like to play games before sleeping at night, Usually most hotels have the option to switch inputs, but the hilton whistler is too high class for that. I asked the front desk if they had the manufacturers remote for the TV, so i could switch inputs. And they thought it would be hilarious to send up a rude & smug maintenance person who literally said they don't allow third party devices because they want you to buy the movies on the television.

Overall basically every staff member was rude, as i walked through the lobby I received glares from the front desk people. I wouldn't expect any modicum of respect from anyone who works at this hotel.
Don't come here expecting a pleasant experience.

Now the real peg in the coffin is when I went to check out, Apparently the rate had changed magically, to $159 + a $30 dollar pet fee. The 400 deposit I had put on the room had been drained, and they had refused to change it, and refused to lay the fault on themselves. The manager for the hotel said "There's no way we gave that rate to you." Yes. How could the esteemed smug staff members of the elusive hilton hotel be wrong? Its clearly my fault. I still haven't gotten a refund for the money they STOLE.

TL;DR Staff are rude and condescending, Rooms could use more cleanliness. They run a monopoly on television content. And they will likely lie straight to your face about their rates.

Have a hard time recommending this place after a couple customer service gaffes on two separate trips.

After being told to contact management via email, there was no response or acknowledgement even with a followup and a phone call. So your experience may vary here.

Location is great, right in the village but there are lots of options so unless you get a killer deal perhaps avoid.

Amazing location with convenient and fast access to ski lifts, ski rentals, restaurants, shopping, bars, etc. Rooms are clean spacious and ours had a small kitchen which was perfect for breakfast, snacks, etc.

Nice hotel with great amenities but horribly thin walls. Couldn't fall asleep because guests next door were up talking around midnight. Mind you, they weren't being loud but we could hear every word they were saying. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you're looking to get a good night's sleep before hitting the slopes.

On line booking agent told me there was no spa on site. Which there is. Room had a full garbage and a bin of empties under the sink from the last visitors. No robe or slippers. No dish towel.

We paid extra fee to get a room with jacuzzi but it was not working properly and when we called front desk they said it should be working.... the parking is pain in this hotel you can bearly fit any car there. Overall stay was okay and rooms were clean.

Great room, great price for Whistler. I was happy to park my vehicle early before my room was ready by checking-in at the front desk. Nice centeral location by the lifts and stairway opens up to the Whistler Village Stroll walkway. The room had more amenities than I needed, and a USB port and outlet everywhere I turned, so that was nice for charging my electronics.

I stayed over a weekend. The bar downstairs had terribly slow service and the food was not good. We booked the hotel shuttle to take us to the spa in the morning but it never showed up. When we called the shuttle number given to us by the hotel, it was someone's private number and not the hotel shuttle. The rooms are nice.

The room we got smelled of smoke and staff were not very helpful. We eventually got moved but not until we talked to manager. The food was also below average. The only positive was the location. Do not recommend.

Nice 6 night stay. Whistler truely does have it all -- beginner to advanced downhill, great village area -- incredibly well thought out resort. This Hilton location allows quick access to the gondola that lets you out at the olympic chair beginner area. Lots of fun on the mountain learning downhill skiing. Our room #180 had a small kitchen and nice view of a different mountain.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It may not be the fanciest place but it is very nice and the staff was exceptional. Our room was huge and had a fireplace (the staff can bring you a special log to burn in the fireplace, great ambiance!) breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced. We were celebrating our anniversary and since the hotel knew that there was a beautiful treat for us in our room upon arrival, which was such a nice gesture. Location is fantastic, you walk out right by Lululemon in the village.

I stayed at Hilton Whistler recently and it s not a four star hotel. The room is tired, the facilities need work (both hot tubs jets had issues), and the front desk service ... meh: Didn t ask whether I was a Hhonors member (I am) or whether I wanted to join, and when I checked out dude wouldn t even offer me a receipt Pictures speak for themselves. Stayed in South Tower - FTLOG if you re already booked here, stay in the North.. I understand it s semi-decent. Bottom line, with so many choices in Whistler, why choose to stay here at all?

I was yelled at by the front desk staff and left crying after asking them to kindly assist with locating my lost items. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. I will be telling all of my friends and colleagues about this experience. The Whistler Hilton is a trash hotel.

Great location and very nice rooms. It's an excellent short walk to the town centre area with all the restaurants and shops, and I suppose to the Blackcomb entrance as well, if that's where you're headed. Nice pool and 2 hot tubs by the lobby (one outside, one in), and a quite well outfitted fitness room. I hear there's a spa, too! (It's down the same hall, but we didn't go there.) Else-wise, there's hot and cold running internet and a jetted tub, a/c in the room gave a good background ambience. Oh, and an open HDMI port on the TV.

The Hilton over Christmas was a disappointment. While the location is excellent, the hotel is overpriced and the front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. And here I paid the extra few hundred a night to avoid the poor customer service of those rental situations, but that was clearly a waste of money. It really doesn't cost much extra to smile or be polite. The room was clean, but we only saw a cleaner once, and she didn't clean the room, empty the garbage, or give us face cloths. The room was either too hot or cold, and the heater was so loud and clunky we didn't get very much sleep. Not alot of fun when you fall asleep at 6pm Christmas Eve because you're so tired. Good luck prying a luggage cart from the Bellman...hours spent lugging luggage and presents to and from the parking garage because the "luggage carts are all booked" as the manager stated, but then...as the bellman said, "luggage carts are only for bellman" ..and the tips that go with it of course. And when I told them at check out that I hadn't had much sleep in days because of the loud heater that sounded like a jet engine, the guy (who we also saw at check in) just told me I should have complained. Really? Because that went well when my husband asked the manager for a luggage cart?? Whistler has gone the way of over-charging for absolutely everything and making it completely unaffordable for residents. The Hilton needs to invest some of that money into improving their heating system and their customer services.

The air out at this point of history in BC is so bad that no outdoor activities are doable.
There us absolutely no need to step out, we have everything here. The staff is wonderful and the rooms spectacular.
We have a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen.
I want to move in!

There were great things about this Hilton, but it wasn't all great. The service and the staff were outstanding, and every interaction was very easy and genuinely nice. The location is also outstanding, super central to the Whistler village, slopes, shops, and restaurants. The food options were also good, with a plentiful breakfast buffet and some awesome room service options. The chicken breast was outstanding and the French fries were some of the best I've ever had! The room itself was quite spacious, and the kitchenette was a welcome addition. The overall room amenities were also nice, with a decent bathroom and nightstand with built-in chargers and USB ports. Two things about the hotel weren't great though... We could clearly hear the music from the bar and loud guests through midnight even with windows and doors closed. The other thing that threw us off was the overall state of the pool / hot tub. It felt old, had rust on it and wasn't very clean - we did not go back after a dip in our first night.

The hotel charges premium prices for very economy level accommodation.

The rooms are outdated, missing essential furniture; no dresser, no bench in front to put on your shoes or ski boots ( this is supposed to be a ski 'resort' hotel).

Room was also missing the standard bathrobes and coffee condiment's.

The heating system was awfully loud and rattling all night.

I really can't understand how this hotel charges these prices?! Maybe it's the 1978 Bidet that they have in the bathroom...

Was deciding between staying at the HIlton or the Westin. Decided to try out the Hilton.
It was a good experience. I booked a room with a kitchenette and I had requested a fireplace but I needed to upgrade in order to get a room with one. The price to upgrade was $30 per night. The hotel wasn't fully booked and 4/8 upgraded rooms in my hallway were not occupied.
The room was spacious. Heat control was a little bit tricky - even when we increased the heat, the vent would still blow out cold air so the room was always chilly. And on top of that, the fireplace required logs vs an electric/gas fireplace. The hotel provided only 1 complimentary log and more was available for $5 each. Nice big kitchenette. We also got a good view of the mountain.

Overall, it was a good experience. However, I feel like I would've gotten more value for my money at the westin. When I stayed at the Westin over Thanksgiving weekend - they gave us a free upgrade to their nicest suite on the top floor with nice high ceilings (at no cost) since they were not fully booked. The rooms also had a smartTV so the movies didn't cost an arm and a leg to buy from the hotel.

First off never book through ZenHotels or any 3rd party booking site. If you do this hotel will put you on one of the lower levels on the South Side of the hotel. This is the old part of the hotel and they put all the people who book on other sides there on the same floor like corralled cattle.

I paid $200 for a room for my spouse and I. When we arrived we were told our room came with two double beds. I said we didn't need two beds and asked for a room with one bed and the guy said it would cost $40 extra. When we got to our room it was one of those joining rooms that have a door that connects to the room next to us. It resulted in us being able to hear word for word the conversations between the man and woman in the room next to us as well as their TV late into the night.

On top of all this you will have to pay a $25 resort fee... and $34 for parking.

Ask me if paying nearly $300 for one night in this hotel was worth it?

You try to get out and support businesses and restaurants during this difficult time and to have a hotel suck everything they can from you without even making sure you enjoy your stay is absolutely ridiculous. I feel no compassion for these people. Shame on all of you.

Amazing resort, the staff are super accommodating and very friendly will go out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Rooms are very clean as well! 10/10 will stay every time we return. The restaurants are also delicious.

Though outwardly appealing, the hotel needs to be buffed up a bit for summer operations. Found it a bit disappointing for the price and Hilton's normal high standards. Good location in the village, especially with proximity to lifts.

I absolutely loved this place for many reasons. The hotel was cozy and big. Rooms were amazing and I loved the surrounding snowy mountains just outside the rooms, which are very close to each other. I have always liked Hilton and this Hilton hasn t let me down.

We had such a wonderful stay for our weekend trip to Whistler... in fact, we loved the Hilton and the staff so much, we extended our stay 1 more night! The pool area / bar staff are wonderful and super attentive (and prices were reasonable), front desk reception was super friendly and accommodating, and the room was fabulous with a full wood-burning fireplace! And not to mention the location of the hotel is perfectly close to all of the Whistler Village shops/restaurants. We epecially appreciated that the hotel was so dog friendly for our pup. We'll definitely be back to Whistler, and we'll be sure to be staying at the Hilton again!

We felt lucky to score a good deal on a Queen Studio, and after our cheerful check-in we unpacked our stuff in the room and realized that although we had a kitchen, we didn't have a small dinner table. I went to the Concierge to ask for one to be sent down and was pleasantly surprised when the check-in lady overheard us and offered an upgrade to a Premium Studio with Kitchen and King Size Bed!!! I'm guessing this wouldn't have been possible if there was snow on the mountain, but it turned our 23rd wedding anniversary into quite a happy weekend. The tall and friendly Ozzy maintenance dude was especially kind and helpful for tuning up the microwave that had been unplugged for cleaning, getting us a fresh light bulb that was burnt out, and also bringing us a fire log 2 nights in a row. Everyone at check-in and Concierge were eager to help with all our questions. Thumbs up!
