Usually you'd think that a 'brand' named hotel would be a pleasant experience, After staying for 2 nights, I must say that it is the complete opposite of that. I checked in on a thursday, I was greeted by a nice enough man, who gave me a quote for $109 + a 30 dollar pet fee. That seemed nice enough, I was tired, so I booked it. I didn't know that I would soon regret my decision.

After entering my room, I quickly noticed that the hotel room was quite dirty, there was rancid dust everywhere. Apparently they didn't teach any of the maids to clean a room properly. Not to sound like a snob, but when you go to a hotel which is considered high class, you'd expect the room to be clean.

I had brought along a game console I own, because i like to play games before sleeping at night, Usually most hotels have the option to switch inputs, but the hilton whistler is too high class for that. I asked the front desk if they had the manufacturers remote for the TV, so i could switch inputs. And they thought it would be hilarious to send up a rude & smug maintenance person who literally said they don't allow third party devices because they want you to buy the movies on the television.

Overall basically every staff member was rude, as i walked through the lobby I received glares from the front desk people. I wouldn't expect any modicum of respect from anyone who works at this hotel.
Don't come here expecting a pleasant experience.

Now the real peg in the coffin is when I went to check out, Apparently the rate had changed magically, to $159 + a $30 dollar pet fee. The 400 deposit I had put on the room had been drained, and they had refused to change it, and refused to lay the fault on themselves. The manager for the hotel said "There's no way we gave that rate to you." Yes. How could the esteemed smug staff members of the elusive hilton hotel be wrong? Its clearly my fault. I still haven't gotten a refund for the money they STOLE.

TL;DR Staff are rude and condescending, Rooms could use more cleanliness. They run a monopoly on television content. And they will likely lie straight to your face about their rates.
