Attended a two day business conference. Excellent venue for large groups, extremely efficient staff, excellent food and accommodation. Well done to the Hilton conferencing and events team!

Hello. We have just returned from an overnight stay in Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
The stay was magnificent. Each member of staff was genuinely courteous, friendly and very eager to help.
This is what makes the difference between a plush hotel and one which is plush and inviting and pleasurable. Well done to all of you.

The bar in the lobby area has an excellent selection of spirits and really great bar staff. They're able to make almost anything we've asked them to and it's not too expensive unless you have a very pricy spirit.

Somewhat underwhelming. Courtesy bus from train station only holds 7 and the driver mislead us into believing there would be no more buses. Reception staff curt at best and the dirty wine glass left in my room was a disappointment. Good food though.

The hotel is close to the NEC, Resort World, and the airport. No need to take the taxi, nor bus. However, The choice in the "executive lounge" was rather disappointing. WiFi for 3 days costs 34 pounds (or around 60 euros), but it is really, really unstable. If you wish to be connected, go to the executive lounge (if you have access). However, it's highly recommended to acquire the WiFi for free, as it's really not worth your money. The same counts for the room, they charge you around 200 pounds a night for the room we booked, yet the room was not "executive". In addition, the cleaners did not clean the rooms properly (they did not change the towels, did not empty the trash can), so another disappointment.

Access to this hotel was a nightmare they had closed the access road and not bothered to show diversions! This is a massive hotel and I was attending a corporate xmas roadshow. I was able to pre book parking so the automatic barriers recognised my car registration. I was disappointed with the refreshments provided to delegates when they arrived. It is totally unacceptable to provide no milk or sugar or English tea bags with your hot water and coffee because of delegates demands why are staff not monitoring this!! Lunch was equally disappointing with hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza or over cooked fish offered in horrid cardboard containers with plastic flatware.I appreciate that the organisers chose this option but such a pedestrian choice shouldn t be made available in the first place. The hotel feels very 90 s in its decor and needs a refresh. The swing doors to the venue wouldn t lock and kept swinging back which could pose an evacuation problem in case of a fire. On the plus side the audio visual and auditorium was excellent although it would benefit from tiered seating

Rooms for single occupancy and relatively small but newly refurbished and cleaned. Restaurant was full at 7.30pm, just a joke! service at the bar-restaurant was chaotic... Just a very hotel...

Fairly standard Hilton, certainly as far as room is concerned. What makes this different is the friendlyness of the staff which is surprisingly good for what you normally get from a large hotel.

Had an amazing stay. Minutes walk from NEC I stayed to go to cake international. I had a twin room it was spotlessly clean the breakfast was amazing. The staff were very professional and e freely helpful. The concierge watched our bags on last day so we could go to NEC all day and pick them up before we left. I will stay there every time from now.photo is of amazing work by Emma Jayne from Aberdare

I have mixed feelings about the hotel: it is very modern and attractive, and the staff are excellent. However my visit coincided with one set of the lifts breaking down, which was a nuisance though the stairs were perfectly good once you found them. Besides, that could happy in any hotel.

No my issue was that the room was extremely warm, because the weather was. Unfortunately the aircon was noisy so we opened the window - and then realised we were very convenient for the airport. ;) Also there was some ornamental fountain that makes quite a noise out the back. Neither are the hotels fault.

The hotel is large, modern, sterile and perfect for the NEC. So large it is easy to get lost, but once you find breakfast it was worth the journey.

If you need a hotel near the NEC o would definitely recommend the Airport Hilton; first rate for conventions, absolutely perfect. If you are looking for cosy comfort, a romantic break or cheap look elsewhere. Still very good at what it does.

Staying for company function. Ok-ish room clean but dated, poor TV quality and selection of the entertainment. Evening meal served was great while breakfast not so much. Smell in the room and corridors putting off - however, this may be very subjective. Located very conveniently.

Executive room looks a little tired. Rust round bath plughole and the shower isn't as clean as most would like even though it's just hard water marks. Beware of clicking onto any booking emails to explore the upgrades! I'm not sure, but I think it assumed I wanted to although I was only looking. Couldn't find any cancel button! . I could be cynical and say I suspect it's company policy but it's more likely to be an IT cock up in their favour

It's a Hilton. All the benefits of a big hotel chain. Sadly you have to pay extra to park and the car park is an odd shape. No problem in a car, but if driving a commercial vehicle anything over 7.5t will struggle to make the turns

Have stayed in alot of Hiltons hotels and by far the worst rooms. The only thing holding this hotel together is the staff. Liam on concierge and the ladies at breakfast were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms need renovations badly. Stayed in executive rooms and very standard. Twin rooms are very small with on of the beds sloping.

I visit this hotel a few times a year for conventions. It's always very busy but we love coming back, it's like our 2nd home. The rooms are always lovely and the beds are really comfortable. There can be a long wait for food in the bar during cons but the food stalls they have bought in have been amazing. Parking is a bit expensive but better if you have con discount. Food varies each time I go but the chicken parm I had last time was great. The gym and pool are lovely, great facilities. Always look forward to coming back

Very tired and dated hotel, not enough staff on, the ones that were on were rude and actually laughed at us when we complained about the lack of working car park payment machines. Having to pay for 2 days parking whilst staying for one night is ridiculous.

The hotel is right next to the NEC it is located on a lake opposite resorts world the rooms are fairly plain i stayed in a queen executive suite which was lovely it had a queen sized bed shower and a bath tea and coffee facilities hair dryer all the little bits . Service was excellent as you would expect the hotel from the outside looks dated but apart from.that cant fault it

I have stayed here 5 times with my place of work. Its a large hotel close to the Train Station & Airport. Its mainly used as a conference hotel with lots of large rooms you can book. Like most Hilton hotels it's expensive and I have to say the rooms are okay large Bathrooms comfortable beds and you can get a smoking room. There is pool that can be used which is nice.

Not what I expected....in my room the toilet and shower were not shut off from the bedroom so no privacy at all. The TV in the bedroom was constantly grainy and difficult to watch. Food and drink way overpriced and small portions. Won t stay here again, had better rooms and facilities for less at the Premier Inn just down the road.

Not experienced in disabled needs whatsoever. 36 hours to tell me they don't provide emergency wheelchair. I asked before booking in the said they would call me within the hour, 36 hours later and many discussions they had to borrow one from LG head office.
Staff really didn't care.

cannot cope when the hotel is busy

cannot cope when the hotel is busy

desk staff are not constant with their information

food is expensive and today I was served stale bread as part of their "street food" outlet and serving staff were unfriendly and rude

other option was to order food in the bar at an ordering station as table service was suspended and staff took over 10 mins to enter and pay for 2 steaks given that we are disabled and cannot stand for long not good

brought it up with bar management who was dismissive so much for "make it right"

options for food were limited as the main restaurant was shut the whole weekend even though it was fully booked and there were no other options nearby as they were all fully booked

room was cold and heating was non-existent even with the temp turned way up

not very impressed in all in Hilton staff attitude or demeanour and we are honours card holders

This hotel is massive!!! Nice and helpful staff. The rooms are alright, but good enough to just sleep in. However, the activities outside is what make this place a prime location with the Resort centre just behind the building. There's a path between the hotel and the resort for quicker access. Walking to and fro this hotel will give you your 10,000 steps for the day. The swimming pool is kept clean too. Access to the gym facilities is 24 hours. My only gripe was the not so great wifi.

Ignore the reviews with mention of dated decor. It's not cutting edge modern but I've stopped in much worse hotels. Make sure you check if there are any service areas near your room as mine was pretty noisy.
