The room was ok. Coffee machine didn't work. Some misunderstandings with the payment as I booked online which held me up a bit. Few more problems but in the end all went well.
Lovely breakfast.
My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Hilton London Metropole during the Olympics.
The hotel has the great advantage of being in a strategic point of the city, a few steps from the Edgware Road metro station, from which pass several lines that lead to every point in London.
The largest typical of a Hilton hotel rooms divided into 3 sectors, including a tower, where we booked a deluxe room with king bed. The double bed is big, but the deluxe room has little ... certainly not the size, nor the bathroom (shower in the tub .... how can a 4-star hotel still have it in 2012?!?).
Beyond the small disappointment related to the room, especially considering the price paid, we were happy with the staff at the time of checkin, while for checkout we opted for the "express" option, without having to go through the reception.
Last tip: it is forbidden to touch the minibar, it has sensors that detect the movement of what is contained in it.
Good venue for the ACI conference 2019. Audio visual was good; spacious, good environment; phone charging available; conveniently right next to Edgware road station; helpful staff. All went smoothly.
Second experience in this quality hotel which has a restaurant and a swimming pool.
The hotel was very neat. The receptionist were very polite
A beautiful place especially for the Arab brothers because it has Arab restaurants and shops
Relative to the price it's OK. But 1 mark deduction for lousy TV with only 2 viewable channels.
Amazing staff at breakfast - a complete contrast to poor customer service elsewhere in the hotel. Had to request a change of room as our room in the Tower block was in poor condition. Rooms in the West Wing are much better.
I was part of a large corporate booking and there were numerous issues with the rooms. Some people got their room without issue, others were made to give their own personal credit card information over. Some had to call for a duty manager as they were told they didn't have a room but the booking was mysteriously found once we complained. I found the staff at the front desk to be quite incompetent.
The room I had was seriously dated and smelt very stale. I would have complained but had seen all the hassle my colleagues had been through so decided against it. I would have expected better of a Hilton and was really disappointed. I personally would never book here again and after seeing the prices they charge for these disgusting rooms, they would have to pay me to stay there.
Not a bad stay until my girlfilriends watch and a pair of my shorts were clearly stolen by the cleaners. The hotel staff then did little to help, insinuating that we had miss placed the items ourselves. If you read the other reviews you will see that there is a theiving problem within the hotel.
Great service, was double booked and upgraded the room. Staff friendly, very good location for seeing London and would definitely do it again!
This hotel is widely famous for not returning the down payment even an agency in London has told me that so I chooses else where
Dirty and poorly maintained room, air conditioning not working, tv not working either ... staff who make no effort to speak our language ... bathroom which has never been refreshed which is in a dirty state: mold, dirt, impossible to use the bathtub !!! Anyway, run away from this hotel ... big disappointment ...:
Great location.
Crappy dated rooms with ratty looks and no included wifi, not even a bottle of water.
Over-priced, look elsewhere
They have the best conference rooms and events rooms. Attended an event well presented rooms.
Standard Hilton with lack of service!
Location is good.
If you can get the half board rate its worth it as their dinner buffer is good!
Location is very convenient as it provides an easy access to the tube station. Service and bar menu is good. A nice place to relax and have a chat.
Terrible. dated and old place... Needs major refurbishment. Extremely slow check in, huge queues for breakfast. Avoid....
Got a free upgrade to a superior room in the west wing on check-in. Nice modern public areas and my room seemed to be recently refurbished. Shame that the view was of another building even on the 13th floor.
Family member works there so my family has been than loads of time great service and great food recommend to go there while visiting central London
Genial and lovely only that we had a problem but although it was not solved the employees tried to fix it. With the language no problem because enough employees are Spanish.
This was the worse Hilton I have ever stayed in the room was not clean on the first night we had water coming up through the floor reported it and the moved us room
The next room we were in was just as bad despite saying the first room was dusty they didn t check the second Rouen and that was just as bad
The breakfast was not worth staying for we stayed 5 mins on the first morning and didn t go on the second
The only upside was the executive lounge which was well presented and had decent coffee
All in all it felt like we were staying in a run down bed and breakfast
Always good service when I come here for business meetings. The coffee is good and the staff polite but never pushy. The pastries also great.
When I arrived is was 100 degrees. No air conditioning. Many people had the same problem. Moved to another room. Smelled terrible. Moved to yet another room. Very small it did have air. Location is horrible. Cant believe Globus would have people stay here
Great facilities & great location. The bar on the top floor is as tacky as hell though. It looks like something from The Crystal Maze.
Wonderful, near the subway, restaurants and supermarkets. Large and clean family room. Comfortable beds and cotton sheets / quilt / duvet.
I'm going say this. No more and no less. When I was having my supper in the sports bar, I saw a two-finger size mouse running across the floor
Great location! everything is fine, very clean. A hotel worth recommending!
Nice inside. But the room was like a sauna, and they took 2 days to turn it off it was 27c so hot would not recommend it to anyone. Also not helpful.
I have stayed here several times over the last year or so. The rooms are very dated, badly in need of renovation. Everything works, but looks like it was installed in the 1980's and has not been changed since. The room was clean and comfortable, but very noisy - the windows let in a lot of noise from the busy street below. As a Hilton Diamond member, I much prefer to stay in the nearby Paddington Hilton.
Just stopped by to pick up a bus but the concierge was very helpful.
nice hotel good breakfast, near the mertro and 10 min walk to the center
I was only there for a few hours for a business presentation. We used one of their meeting rooms and the staff were very polite, room was clean and spotless and all amenities and whims were catered for.
Outdated .......
Really limited room for a sign like Hilton
We visited the hotel for an event so can't comment on the rooms but the hotel was very clean and had all the facilities we needed
First of all, I came too early, and the attendant told me I have to wait. He told me I could leave my bags with the concierge and I could go and see the town. Being me, I can't trust anyone with my stuff. I waited four hours so I can get my room. The attendant put me on the 18th floor, and every floor had at least ten rooms. Do the math. The bed was perfect and the pillows as well. I had good sleep every night.
Someone came in my room after I checked in and left chocolates and two bottles of water as a welcome gift. I never had that in my hotel life.
Breakfast was good. Is not what I expected, but I got nourished and that is all I need. I was expecting a larger variety, but it wasn't. The waitresses were good. The third day was the one that they were taking the dirty plates ASAP. I can't complain. I wanted to take pictures of the ground floor, but I saw a security guard tell another guy not to take pictures, so that was shot down. Overall, not bad.
Don't stay there unless you have to.
Rooms are bad as you see in the photos... Breakfast is ukkkkkk
Never again
I stayed in room 2310 .. don't let them give you that room
Great location, conveniently located to central London. The service was fantastic.
Only seeing this building from the outside when I visited London last week
As for me, the building is so luxurious. May be one day I could try to stay here
A huge hotel, and often full of tourists in the summer, but the staff are always helpful and friendly. The exec lounge is great if you're not too hungry in the evenings.
Excellent service. I spent 4 nights in the King Superior Room and it was perfect. I was worried about the quality of the WiFi looking at previous reviews, but it turned out to be good enough for me to work and have some video calls with my family. The room was spacious and it could have served a family with 2 kids, since it had two large beds. The room was clean. The bathroom has maybe an outdated look, but it was still clean and comfortable. Breakfast I'd say is good as well.
The location is excellent. Breakfast is also excellent.
Below average. Of course this is an international hotel chain and not a drop off, but for around 300 you can expect a bit more in central London. There are corners scrubbed, doors rickety, bathrooms minimal about motel-level and the staff tends to arrogance. The location is convenient (close to Paddington Station and therefore to the airport), but really spectacular sights are not in the area either. Competence Center ok, but could be anywhere in the world. Disappointed me.

Went there 3 times in our 7-day stay in London and that is not enough. The wealth of collections in the museum is awesome, especially from the middle east.
Needs renovation. Rooms look like in some B&B in the middle of nowhere, but costs a lot. No much to choose from for breakfast, you need to wait 5mins to even be admitted to restaurant around 8am. Worth maybe 1/3 of it's current prices.
Great location. Tube stations within walking distance. Rooms a bit worse for wear. Hallways smelled damp and looked unkempt. Lobby was fantastic and lively but sometimes rowdy. Good selection of breakfast but gets very crowded quickly.
Steer clear from the 23rd floor, great views but room noisy and old rooms. The lower floors are much better.
Very disapointed I must say. The rooms are very out dated. My room just kept blowing out cold air..called reception to ask someone to come and check out..no one turned up! I also requested for a bath room..only to be given a childs size. Had dinner in one of the restaurants..food was nice but the waiters kept forgeting to take our orders. I mean come on Hilton..surely something can be done about all this mess!
The room was a little worn but tolerant. The breakfast was not the best but perfectly ok. Good location for those who want to shop and go for some sightseeing
This place has the most outstanding service I have ever seen in a hotel of this category. I would not hesitate on returning to this place.
I have to stay here due to an exam held in the hotel from 8-12am. Although I have known the hotel isn t modern I was still shocked by the price which is 175 pounds compared to the room quality. Did the same price I can stay in a very nice hotel. I couldn t believe how old the room is! Also I can t understand why the exam organization chose this old hotel for holding the exam. Not recommend at all.
I ve stayed over and over in this hotel. The first time I ve stayed in this hotel was a very long time ago and I can confidently say that over time the quality of the service and the cleaning this of the rooms have dropped a lot over the past years. It has also been shocking that despite the drop in quality The prices have increased. I do not recommend this hotel for its rooms and services. I do recommend this hotel for its close proximity to Paddington and Edgeware Road. They have a great facility and I am sure with a slight improvement on management they can rise to the top again.
Was only there for one night. Room was fine and staff were excellent.
Building doesn't look too nice outside and not much to be envied if location but inside was good.
I stayed in the tower wing on the 21st floor in May 2019. The view was great but the room was very dated and in need of a refurb. The public spaces are modern and there are a number of eating places to choose from within the hotel. I wouldn't personally stay in this Hilton again until it had been refurbished.
Room was very dated and shabby, only three star from me I'm afraid.
Big place, decent sized rooms, pool, all you can eat breakfast, uncomfortable beds, small bathroom, ignorant guests
My stay was comfortable with one exception, the toilet would not flush properly.
The staff was really nice, the room clear and comfortable. A really perfect place to spent some days of holiday!! When I will come back in London Hilton metropol will be my choose!!
Very well organised event and conference, we were very impressed by the staff. Thanks for having us.
So disappointed that we weren t informed the swimming pool was fully booked until after we had checked in. For our family this was such an important part of our stay as this was essentially our summer holiday having cancelled our trip abroad due to quarantine.
My daughter was so upset she cried for an hour or more.
When I went down again to the fitness suite to see if there was a waiting list or cancellation list or process the lady on reception told me her waiting list was full and she couldn t help.
She then proceeded to wave a post it note at me, with a few names scribbled on. Apparently this was the waiting list.
Awful customer service and really ruined our stay.
Room was ok
Checkout was very good
Luggage help was very good
Room cleaning very good
Emergency line very bad
Help desk very bad - No one answers the phone on most occasions
Reception check in service - very bad
Overall they need more training in their customer management in order to deserve Hilton title
They are not following the optional process of welcoming the silver/gold members with free water bottles like other hilton hotels.
Noise from the street was really load but it was because of the permanent window which was open .. once talked to them they send technician and fix it and it really make difference reducing noise level.
Not much electricity outlets in the room
Nice service of dialing one magic number to be available with one button for all services.. but it takes a long time to pickup
uncomfortable beds has to be changed, didn't have good night sleep.
Didn't inform me that I forget some stuff in the room
Starbucks inside the hotel and ATM machines make a good added value to the hotel
Very close to two underground stations
Should I stay in this hotel next time?
NO without hesitation from
Poor car park reviews so had to park away from hotel. Poor slow service by staff. Communication problems. Building work happening which we were not aware of. Lift service was terrible. No stairs to other floors. Waiting time for lifts 25 plus minutes around slightly busy times. Only 2 lifts out of 4 working. Hallway untidy with used cutlery and waste. No room cleaning service. Mice seen in breakfast lounge. Beverage bar closes at 10pm so couldnt enjoy a drink after a long day out. Very expensive for poor quality hotel. Gutted the swimming pool wasnt available. Only positive is the location is good for tube stations and food places.
