Good, but unually very busy hotel. Several on site restaurants to choose from from casual to formal dining. Breakfast is very busy at peak times, expect to wait for a table. Rooms and dacore are standard for this call of hotel, but don't expect any of the newer twists such as iPhone docs, mirracast TVs or coffee machines.

Hilton London metropole was so disappointing. Definitely not upto my expectations. The only pro with the hotel was the location. The hotel is very out dated very old fashioned bathrooms. Like a shower in the bath tub uncomfortable bed small rooms. Very ancient and old looking decor all around breakfast was so busy cramped no variety. Check in took very long long queues at check in inefficient unfriendly staff.

The bedrooms are the usual London small but overpriced. We were in an "executive" double which means you have a small double bed and a large L shaped desk. The windows have secondary double glazing (not seen that since 1976) and we're dirty on the inside and needed a good referb.

Not had brekkie yet. Fingers crossed that will be worth the money

Amazing hotel. All staff are very helpful and willing to go that extra mile to make sure your stay is a wonderful experience. Clean rooms. Restaurant is excellent!!! I had the best experience here. Would recommend.

Visited london for the first time, really nice hotel, friendly and knowledgable staff (between the 4 front office staff - I believe they spoke every possible language) The hotel is very close to the train station, breakfast is really good, loads of really cool mom and pop shops ands stores around the area; the area is very family friendly i saw loads of families l, felt safe throughout and never felt uncomfortable. Oh and to top it off theres a starbucks right across!

Terrible Hotel, rooms smelled of cigarette smoke (which made all our clothes smell after 3 days), swimming pool was closed for the full duration of our stay (3 nights), staff don't care, breakfast is poor...not the usual Hilton standard.

Unrenovated rooms are dismal. Well worn and "dented" mattress, stained grout, no working control of tempertaure, no outlets near the bed, drafty windows ... Were it not for the ideal location for me, I would not stay here. Renovated rooms are fine, but there is no assurance you'll get one.

Lobby area is great and the breakfast was lovely. They have a halal section also which is brilliant for us. Lavinia was very helpful with our kids who wouldn't sit still and helped keep them occupied for us. It is busy at breakfast but the range of items is brilliant.
The pool is much smaller then I thought and 1.4m deep so not suitable for very young kids but it was fun nonetheless.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel, primarily for its proximity to the Edgware Road underground station which allowed me to easily travel around the city in a very short amount of time.

Travelers should be aware that this hotel is under renovation and rooms on the 14th floor and above have been modernized and are more of what you would expect from a Hilton.

I initially stayed on the 12th floor and the room felt about 30 years old and wasn't very clean (dirty, beat up carpet, mold growing on the bathroom ceiling) - I requested a different room and they granted it the next day for $20 extra a day. Had I not been able to do this, I probably would have checked out early and moved to a different hotel.

Looks awful on the outside but this hotel is actually rather nice on the inside. Pretty standard city centre Hilton, but the conference centre in here is well equipped and versatile, which makes it a very popular venue for smaller trade shows and larger business meetings. If you're visiting London and this place is in your budget, then it's an ideal hotel for being close to the city centre but not so close that you feel boxed in.

Paddington train and tubes are a quick (albeit confusing) walk and the two flavours of Edgware Road station are easy as well. You might have to cross the road a baffling number of times to get to them though.

They disabled the mini bard for some reason.
The carpet aren t clean and the bathroom is very small.
The only good thing about it is location and breakfast.

I stayed for one night only. The room was basic but clean, pleasant and functional which is all I needed. The staff I found to be very pleasant, helpful and accommodating, which for a large London hotel is not always the case. Lovely bar area for a relaxing drink in the evening. Breakfast I found enjoyable with well organised staff to assist if needed. I would happily visit again based on my short experience.

Front desk was great! However, rooms were outdated, the beds were essentially large cots that wheeled away when you sat on them. The carpet was grimy and not vaccuumed. The cleaners only came on our last day to wake us at 8am despite housekeeping requests daily! The hall had the same used food plates left behind for 2 days! And calling for any assistance took over 30rings before the line was answered. It was worse than a 2 star hotel, and completely unworthy of the Hilton name.

Used to be good quality all round but sadly we were given a seriously lacking service - car park procedures were confusing especially to the reception staff, fixing the broken fridge and air conditioning in the room took 3 days to show up and fix, and the wallpaper was coming off the walls...

We were lucky enough to stay on one of the renovated floors. The room we had was really nice although small. Unfortunately there were still dirty dishes outside of our room from a previous guest and there was also a bunch of trash left by a previous guest in the closet that was missed by the cleaning staff. The food and drinks in the lobby bar were absolutely fantastic. The breakfast buffet was tasty but chaotic because of the hundreds of people having breakfast at the same time and also because the setup was pretty disorganised (empty plates in the middle of the buffet instead of at the sides, only one bread toaster that was placed at the narrowest part, ...). I felt there was a lot of improvement there, mostly if it was organised more efficiently.

Unfortunately this visit (yes we are returning guests) we are not happy at all with the visit. As Gold members we were offered an upgrade upon checking this we said we appreciated and thanked the receptionist. However we were moved down 6 More

This hotel is amazing. From the moment you walk through the revolving door you are greeted with luxurious standards from ceiling to floor. All staff look immaculate and the decoration is beautiful. Although this hotel is situated in the heart of a London high street it feels so relaxing once you step inside with high ceilings and marbled floors I would recommend this hotel again and again , the rooms are exemplary.

Nice
