Disappointing. Very tired hotel long overdue for a revamp. Carpets dirty, when we arrived it smelt as if someone had died in the fridge. This was thankfully fixed the next day. You don't get into bed, you get onto it...hard is an understatement. Pillows due for retirement. Have stayed in many Hilton hotels and this plus the Prince K.... In Hawaii rank at the very bottom.

Very good located business hotel, 10 mins on foot from Paddington station (good when you are coming from Heathrow) and 2 from Edgware Road station. Communal areas (lobby, restaurant, bars, conference facilities, etc) are extremely good. The room I got in the Tower wing, less so: ageing and smoke-smelling despite being on a non-smoking floor... Very good breakfast. Paid WiFi a big no go... But if you sign up for Hilton Honors you get it free.

Small but clean and well appointed rooms centrally located. Steps from the tube and minutes walk to Hyde Park and Buckingham palace and errands. Great but sometimes crowded hotel. Well worth the price and will return definitely.

Very noisy crowded all the time, slow check in. Very mean with toiletries in rooms. Double bedroom with 2 occupants only one bathe/ hand / face towel, have to take towels from the cleaning/service trolley myself because our request was ignored for not extra towels but the right towels for a 2 people.

I ordered a deluxe room and stated that I would want it to be in the new refurbished floors. I even called to confirm and they still placed me in the old floor. The bathroom drain was clogged and room just felt old and used. I had to complain to get moved to one of the new refurbished floors. The staff was nice and helpful and the location is perfect for people who eat halal food. However, the room problem left a negative impression. People pay the same amount of money but some stay in old rooms. Its not fair.

It's not the best hotel nor the worst hotel I have stayed at.

Good things about the hotel:
++Close to the underground
++About 10 min from the city with a cab or with the underground
+ Nice sized room (we took a room for 4 people)
+We did not get the view towards the city however our friends got that view, so if you want to have the scenery towards the London City you should ask for it!
++The cleaners were super friendly and did a great job cleaning!!!!
+ Great staff
+ Great looking bar
+- okay price
+ Starbucks inside the hotel

Not so good/Bad things about this hotel: (not so good= +-) (Bad= --)
+- The lobby could have looked better, kind of felt cheap.
-- The rooftop bar felt really cheap and the prices were not that cheap, feels really outdated in a bad way like they tried to make it look expensive but failed, bad drinks, bad DJ however kind staff working there.
--- The worst thing for me was the beds!! The beds were to hard, so hard that my back hurt during the whole vacation! And every time you moved just a little bit the bed would make a squeaking noise which would wake you up.
+- Did not understand why they had watches for sale in the hall next to the lobby which made it feel cheap.

I would recommend this hotel if you're planning on spending a lot of time outside of the hotel.

Our room was in the tower. It was not so great. Our room was the size of a closet. No room for any of us. On our final night there there was a false fire alarm. We were on the 18th floor. Not so great when your 9 year old had just fallen asleep after throwing up all night and then has to go down 18 flights of stairs at 1225 am. Don't think I'll ever go back there

It started out alright. But as with every hotel its downfall is its staff a lot of the. Had a leak in my room which had dated furniture. Called the service woman multiple times for a simple fix and was met with incompetence on her part. If you can not do your job, give it to someone else. Idiocy. Would not recommend. Hilton is not the same, stay elsewhere.

A truly majestic hotel, frequented by tourists from all over the mondo..collegato well with all public transport 2 meters londinesi.le stops are located a few tens of meters as well as the bus stops that take you in all areas of London . I would recommend getting breakfast at the hotel at half the price when purchased at check in .. international breakfast buffet with different types of food for any type of esigenza..le immaculate rooms and Italian personnel present both in the dining room is the spectacular reception the bar is the restaurant of the 23 floor with views across London

Great place access wise, although there are no drop curbs outside and the taxis pull up in the only area low enough to cross the road in my wheelchair. Otherwise, staff were friendly, very nice facilities and generally enjoyable

Outrageous prices and run down rooms! On my business trip to London, I stayed at the Hilton London Metropol. I would not have chosen this hotel myself, but had hoped for the high price at least a corresponding room to get.
The inventory of the room was apparently still from the seventies and not well maintained. The wallpaper has come off the wall in some places. Some parts of the facility were broken or not fully functional. In particular, the bathroom was in very poor condition. Never again Hilton!

I booked into this hotel for a conference. The lobby and bar area of the hotel is beautiful and really well-designed, however the rooms are extremely dated. I had certain expectations associated with a Hilton hotel and unfortunately these were not met. The room itself was very small, smaller than most budget hotels, and the window looked directly onto a concrete wall a couple of meters away. The decor appeared to be very out-of-date and really did need updating. The Peter Thomas Roth amenities were very nice, but not replaced by staff once used. There is a mini-fridge in the room, however you are not able to place your own items in there. There is a sign inside the fridge stating that there is a sensor and that you will be charged for opening the fridge. This was really ridiculous and very disappointing as I was not able to have any chilled drinks in my room. Catering for the conference group was average - certainly nothing to write home about. I certainly wouldn't be keen to stay in the hotel again, and would choose a Premier Inn next time for a better experience.

This hotel deserves its five stars because it's very nice for the value. I wasn't expecting anything too great, but I was surprised by the overall cleanliness of the room and the amazing breakfast. The location's also really great (right next to an Underground station) and in a lively area.

Good hotel, great location, with great breakfast and services but a bit run down and staff shortages. Fridge didn't work and even though I called reception twice they never showed up to replace it...

If you really want to know it sucks, smallest rooms in world, no plugs for charging phones, can't even plug in the hair dryer they provide in room, elevators we're out yesterday, keys didn't work in door, coffie pot worked once to heat water then quit & the refridgaters hasn't worked in a long time there is a big note on it. I'm not a happy camper can you tell?

Well appo nted hotel, clean, pleasant and professional staff..when we were there in our room they had strange heating issues, so they moved us to another room. For central London price was right too..

Comfortable rooms, excellent catering services, very polite efficient staff. This hotel is perfectly located for visitors wanting to visit the West End shops. Hyde Park is a short bus ride away.
Plenty of eating places in nearby Edgware Road.
My grandchildren loved it.

It is very convenient to get close to the subway station. The entrance is a large revolving door. The lobby is new but the room is relatively old. It is also very small. There are no toiletries and refrigerators and mineral water. The service staff is still ok, and the first night is broken. Three hours of water, we can't take a bath. The price of one night is not cheap, but people feel that it is not worth the price. The CP value is low.

So here's my issue with this hotel. It is by no means a five star Hilton hotel period.
If you're unlucky and you end up in the tower rooms. Which isn't he old part. As you can see in the pictures the room was filthy small , dated and worn down very badly. Hallways were dingy and id struggle give it more than a one star hotel.

However if you're placed in the new wing the rooms are Mich better and cleaner. With decent views and they don't seem as dated. Bed is a bit uncomfortable though. And the. I'd rate it as a 3 star hotel.

Only saving Grace for the hotel is the front desk staff as they're helpful and it has a good location.

Room service charges extra for delivery ! At a Hilton mind you. !

Over all it isn't worth the price paid and I wouldn't recommend.

Not up to usual Hilton standards. The room was old, carpeting in room completely disgusting, heavily stained, almost nauseating. Some travelers in our group had more updated rooms but still sub-par for Hilton. Very disappointed and would not recommend. There are better choices close by. Some notable positives: helpful concierge, close tube station, nice bar, coffee shop. Lobby area is beautiful unfortunately, it all goes downhill after you head up the lift to your room.

I have stayed in many hotels over the years and I rarely review them as you have certain expectations from hotels that are usually met. Hilton London Metropole has the absolutely worse hotel room I have ever seen. My bathroom was covered with mould which Im 100% sure is health damaging risk. Long queues to check in and check out.

Staff were however polite and professional. I have also not tried the restaurant but if its even remotely close to the way rooms are preserved id be concerned.

Beware and don't accept a room in the west tower. The room i was given as a hhonors member was the most grubby and dirty hotel room I have ever had the misfortune to endure. The bathroom had black mould and the room carpet stuck to the soles of my shoes and were covered in stains (don't remove your shoes). I was surprised that Hilton allow rooms this tatty to tarnish their usual good standards. There are other Hilton properties close by in the same price range, do your self a favour and go there instead.
