strange smell in the room, not vacuumed properly. No free parking for hotel guests.

Great hotel. I loved the terrace view from the bar on top.

Struggle from the 1st day . Room given without AC and no fridge , after complaining they changed the room. If I kept quite they will not do any action.
The receptions staff were superiors but I found other management staff dealing with my case very cool and they not bother as the hotel is full with guests.

I stayed last month for 5 days conference. The hotel is a mirror reflection of London city " it is old but everything works just fine".
The hotel doesn't deserve more than 2 or 3 stars rating max. Elevators are very slow and clumsy. Heating and ventilation system are not working properly.
The only good thing about this hotel is Location.

Staff is friendly but is not as clean as I would have expected to be

Location is great located next to tube stations. The lobby is lovely and spacious and extends all the way through to many restaurants. The rooms can do with a modern twist but are reasonably sized which makes up for it. Prices are a bit on the expensive side but saying that most hotels around that area are similar priced.

So far dissapointed, fridge not working, can't connect to wifi, only 5 channels on TV and room is quite dated considering executive. Good location for West end

As someone who has stayed here multiple times for work and pleasure, this is a hard review to write because the last couple of times has just been okay, and if I had to judge on this last experience alone, I am not sure I would return.

The Pros: we were offered an upgrade to a "King Executive" room and all but one of the staff were friendly.

The cons:
1) Diamond status seemed not to be recognised at check-in. Amongst other things, we didn't receive and water and when I called to ask where it was, was told I have to go to the Herb n Kitchen shop to pick some up after returning back to reception for a voucher. Decided to skip it.

2) Hotel Security. We had stepped into the Whiskey/Gin lounge, but had to go to the loo. We were simply following the signs to the loo when security intercepts us to see "where are we going?" Being made to feel suspect in a place I am paying to stay in? Thanks, but no thanks. After that experience, we returned to the lounge to order a night cap drink and then left.

3) Housekeeping. There is really almost no excuse on a Sunday (or more generally, on a day someone is checking out), to knock on the door at 09:30 for a noon check out time. There is even less reason to repeat this a hour later. I shouldn't have to put up the DND sign.

4) Breakfast. This is a minor one. They used to have an omelette station. There seemed to be no way to order them.

It's still an okay overall (the price for the hotel room was reasonable), but basically it feels very much like a factory these days. I think you'll get a more consistent experience at the Hilton Paddington or the Doubletree Islington. It is 'HHonorable' fading.

Very close to station, Oxford street and Hyde Park. Lovely rooms and hotel staff are great, only rated 4/5 due to issues with air conditioning and fridge

Do not enter this hotel they're letting a car rental called green motion running a business scam and steal money from people they're probably part of this scam

Have traveled the world and many Hilton and other hotels. Booked for vacation several months in advance. Poor service at checkin ...waiting until 430 until finally got a room as a Diamond Elite member....staff and manager never showed much concern---condescending, nonchalant attitude despite going to desk 4 times to inquire (they do not contact you when room is ready I was told...????)
After checking in got our two rooms which were at best average, and completely separated down the hall from one another (not adjoining or close which was reason for choosing hotel when travelling c 3 kids).
Broken icemaker on floor, one room smelled. I have stayed at Comfort Inn's by airports in Podunk USA wayyyy better than this place.
2 stars only because the Executive Lounge was actually quite nice.
But the rooms and service were 1 star.....no way stay elsewhere.

Bar staff are very helpful as are the security and concierge. Front desk can vary depending on who is on. House keeping mostly take from the rooms and claim items have been thrown in the bin , being disabled means nothing to them(NOT ALL HOUSE KEEPING) few of them are lovely good people who getting a bad reputation because of the magnitude of thefts by thier coleagues. Lately the food is nothing less than trash.

Rooms need updating. The ones that already ate after small. Located in the Muslim area of town across the street from Edgewater tube station.

Services were really great. However, my room had a lot of wear and tear issues, my wallpaper was torn and ripped and my bathroom and front door lock was broken. Food and other services were great though.

A really big hotel with very helpful staff.
The rooms are really big and have every comfort available.
Ben clean and free wifi takes in every corner of the hotel, going too fast.
The sausages and the croissants at breakfast are delicious!

Standard room for a Hilton. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The location is good although not the best of the Hiltons in London. It is a short walk to either of two underground stations. It is ultra modern in style, the usual tower block. The Sky bar was a little disappointing although the view was good. We did not eat in apart from breakfast, but the breakfast was good quality with a choice of all the usual options plus the Hilton 'egg man' who will cook eggs to your choice of style and filling.

Nice hotel. Very busy. The area can get a bit sketchy at night. But during the day it is very safe. Good arabic and libanese food near the hotel. Requires some walking to get to downtown, but between taxi, metro and buslines everything is reachable. The hotel staff is very courteous and present to help. We did not have a chance to see the pool facilities but there is one on site. Breakfast buffet was always packed with people, but staff was fast so food was always stocked and hardly ran out of anything. We did not eat at the hotel s other restaurants.

This hotel was absolutely extrodinary. The most convenient hotel right in the center of London. The view is spectacular and the rooms are just to die for. Best hotel stay I've ever had!

What a disappointment. This property does brand damage for the Hilton name. Good thing Make It Right is the moto for this hotel. Because it is actually such a chaotic mess it is a certainty they will be trying to fix what has gone wrong. The facility has problems, the staffing is nightmarishly bad, and the service delivery is awful. If I wasn t trapped here due to a business meeting I would of left after day 1. If you have a choice, then please stay elsewhere in any other alternative.
I seldom take the time for reviews, but this has been exceptionally bad experience.

I have been at some conferences, good location within London, the main halls and other smaller rooms are too far away. It's a lot of walking, but good overall.

A bit deceiving when they speak of a modern look and feel. For the lobby, sure, but definitely not the room. Service has been excellent, check in we very suck even with a crowded lobby. WiFi is great, which seems so rare in a hotel. Overall, not bad.

The stay at the Hilton London Metropole was good. The location was easily accessible by bus and train. Check-in was quick and they had the room ready early. The room was comfortable and clean, and was kept clean daily.

A busy, old, dilapidated hotel, unfortunately locked on the elevator for 3 minutes .. There was no compensation or satisfaction, the premise that London developed city fell through this hotel's bad. I could not go back to this hotel even if I had to sleep in Hyde Park

Booked my room a month prior to arriving. On arrival the hotel was overbooked! Was then downgraded!!! The room is old, small, plug sockets not working, no cold water and not a comfortable evening! Expected much more...

2 stars less than it says. Old rooms, rotted doors, very narrow. Even the window wasn't clean (spoiled a great view from 20th floor).

Good location for walking distance to Hyde Park events and trains. We had a quiet room in the east wing overlooking the pool. Comfy, with bathroom that had a separate shower. Helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was busy and staff were efficient. I would use again at the right price.

Hotel was not clean, staff did not care about guess. There is no bathrooms on the lobby, one has to take the elevator to use a bathroom on the first floor, so I would not recommend drinking in lobby bar.
The staff in the front do not care about the guess and make us wait a long time to check us in. I had $200 dollars stolen from my room safe and security could not figure out how. I did not feel safe in the hotel. A homeless guy walked in from the street when I has eating and looked everywhere, no one stopped him or even noticed.
I would not recommend this hotel if you have a choice.

Rooms are solid but a tad outdated (TV slow, bathroom fittings old, bathroom gas faint stains).

Disappointed for Hilton, mold visible on the ceiling of the bathroom. Defective shower head and water pressure not strong enough.

Adjustable heating but never reaches the desired temperature. A cold air flow at the windows, perhaps due to aeration on the floor.
Otherwise the cleanliness is good.
The bedding is ok except it lacks sheets, savings or typically English (?)
Wall plugs present including 1 220v socket in bathroom and 1 only in the room 4 places.
Pool well maintained, a lot of bar.
Canteen Italian restaurant and excessive price, Del Arte is better bcp ...
