So the power went out and our slot machines froze. Took over an hour to get mine up and running and get my money to print out. Lame.
The hotel is ok, however the service was, in our opinion not. To check in (if you can t check in with the self check in) you have to stand in line for a really long time, the room we had was small and when we called because the lights were not working no-one came. The pool is nice, and you get a towel, however there are way too few beds so a lot of guests are laying on the concrete alongside the pool.
Always came to gamble in this hotel when we stayed in Caesars Palace last year so decided to stay there this time and loved it! Probably the best location on the strip and one of the cheapest hotels too. Of course it's not quite as luxurious as Caesars Palace but I'd definitely stay here again. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews about the rooms but I thought our room was rather lovely! So no complaints there. Highly recommended!
High roller wheel view is pretty epic! Very nice rooms, no coffee pot in room but managed fine. Always a great experience seeing the flamingos and other birds. The steakhouse they have is also very delicious!
So close to everything, I loved my bed! I slept Beautifully!
Comfortable environment, alot of action from the strip
I went there for the bottomless mimosa breakfast buffet. It was really yummy and being able to look out onto the garden was lovely.
This was an amazing stay. First time here and the staff and front desk were nice and the room is totally worth it. The location OS dead center of everywhere. Stay here if you want to be in the middle of it all great location
Amazing views from top floors and very central to everything, reasonable rates
you will not get anything which they promised. we booked strip view room and the lady from front desk bluntly told us that some construction is going on, she lied. the room we got was big instead but not strip facing. There is no facility in room like drinking water, was expecting at least drinking water bottle from them, daily usage stuff was less. i just like the room service people and hotel ambiance, which is good. be careful while booking room and stick on it !
the casino is super smocky and uncomfortable.
but the location is good and i like their room. very bright and clean. The style might be a little out of date, but i like brighter room. and you have empty fridge could be used
We have had wonderful time room was very clean nice. We had a newly renovated room . Check in was simple but long wait. You are in heart of everything on strip. Would give 5 star but not coffee maker in room. Love it will definitely stay again.
Yes, the flamingos are awesome. I loved the setup of the casino floor as well
Great experience at the Flamingo...the only real reason it's not a 5 star is because it's not a 5 start hotel in the first place. But what it is and does...it is and does real well. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Not 1 issue at all the entire time staying there. Some of the casino area could use updating just a little, but nothing problematic. The room was clean...a little dated but stylish still. And Ceasars rewards problem is well done...staff tries to find you benefits and deals. So wonderful every property we interacted with them. Keep it up... everyone!
We go every year to this hotel for my birthday and this year was BY FAR the WORST experience I ve ever had at any hotel I ve ever stayed at!
We were put in a downgraded room from what we paid for. The safe was locked and the curtains were broken once we finally got in the room we were supposed to be it.
The smell of weed gave everyone a second hand high with how strong it was.
The guest were obnoxious and ruder than most times due to the inexpensive prices of rates.
And we go specifically for the pool, but no word was said to us was we asked about restrictions that the pool was limited to 300 people per day.
So unless you want to drop $700+ per day you don t get to go to the pool.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!
The Flamingo provides a tasteful blend of old school vegas with modern infusions. The vibe downstairsis exactly what you hope for, with a good mix of different machines and tables on the floor, a top notch restraunt and other eateries, and a flamingo habitat, there is a lot to love.
However, some downsides included a pool entry process that seemed broken (spent 3 days on a texting based waitlist and was unable to purchase a cabana or daybed for less than 500$ at the gate) The room (junior suite) was also dated in some aspects.
They seemed to take COVID seriously with mask rules being enforced on the casino floor, temp checks at check-in, and sanatizing stations available on the casino floor.
They hold the Ozawa Cup International Tournament here yearly simply because the place is great. Not so happy of the parking fee but it's one of Las Vegas icons. You'll get quite a walking exercise from the parking to the hotel but we all need that every once in a while. Staff don't smile or greet guest as we remember before though.
Hit or miss with clean rooms. Elevators on the Habitat side would malfunction. No microwave in the rooms. The service was always short towels or coffee. Pricey on food and room service. Did have a good view from the living room.
Nice grounds nice to see the birds . Break from the sidewalk
It was clean comfy fast elevators friendly staff! Good food. Efficient
Rooms are nice and there are alot of different gaming options.
Nicely remodeled room on the strip. For the price and location it's hard to beat.
Beautiful suites! Great staff, great amenities. Located mid strip, that was nice too.
The hotel and casino is great. The hotel is going through renovations and they are looking amazing and coming along. The updated rooms are clean and amazing!
This was my first trip to Vegas and my next I'll be staying at the Flamingo again!
The room was clean and nice, had the most beautiful view, I could look out the window and see the Fountains of Bellagio. The staff here was really nice, and the atmosphere was to die for... I will most definitely be coming back to stay here.
Really pretty. Lots of flamingos that are alive and other birds ducks and Aquatic animals like koi fish are all inside Courtyard the pool adult pool is there as well. You can walk through get to the center of Courtyard are there are even more shops
Breakfast buffet, variety to choose and stay full til almost the end of the day. Art Deco feel of the place. Amazing views of the Sth American Flamingos. Chilled out vibe with great customer service.
The south entrance of the casino always smells like a heavy nauseating air freshener. It smells so bad I get dizzy if I walk by that entrance. The North entrance side of the casino is cool
Casual hotel close to other casinos. Have stayed here multiple times. Rooms were nice and clean. Not too pricey but not too cheap. The location of the casino is more central on the Strip. Not a bad casino at all for a few days. Worth it if you want a more central location versus on one side of the Strip.
For a 3 star hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. Almost everything in the room was new. The staff was very friendly, with the lone exception being a rude male bartender (bugsy's bar) from Louisiana. Hey management, he was rude to the waitresses too. The strip view room on 24th floor was great, we could see bellagio fountains. The location cannot get any better if you want to be centrally located on the strip. Good value hotel with history, nature park and amazing location.
Check in earlier and without any problems. No rush while checking out (11 am is check out time, I left around 11.30)
Got a newly renovated room with a great view for an extra 30$ charge. Stuff members were helpful and kind.
Location is great, everything reachable in walking distance.
Cannot say anything about the buffet but the line was very long everyday!
Made reservations and prepaid for a king room with a tub to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Checked in and was told I was "upgraded" to a 2 queen room with a direct view of the Linq promenade and accompanying band performance I am told SHOULD quiet down by 2am or so. But- they offered me ear plugs! How amazingly awful. Their excuse is they are sold out? WtF! Why reserve a room when it isnt available? Horrible and I will spend my funds anywhere but ceasars properties after this experience.
Great place. Right near everything. Great place to stay if you are seeing a show at Brooklyn bowl.
Me & My Love It There Da Room R Very Nice , We R Staying There Until Friday Morning , We Stay Here Again & Again Cause IT A VERY GREATLY WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY , GOD BLESS US WITH THESE AWESOME BLESSED GIFTS
Our hotel room did not have working lights in half the room, staff was pushy to get us out of the room an hour before check out time, and the parking charged us twice; even though we pre paid, we were still charged at the gate when leaving. We were also charged with a secret $50 fee at the end of our stay for no explainable reason. Choose a different resort on the strip.
This is an iconic casino and has been renovated to have a modern look. The rooms are nice and are not dated at all. You can usually find good deals at the Flamingo I'd highly recommend staying at this hotel. Pretty lively on Friday and Saturday nights in the casino. There's a food court with Johnny rockets and real flamingos you can take pictures of outside!
Can't think of a bad thing to say about the Flamingo. Our room was on the 28th (top) floor, with a view of the fountains of Bellagio. Amazing service and outstanding facilities. Chevy Chase was spotted staying in the Flamingo during our stay, but sadly, we didn't get to meet him. Great casinos, shows, fitness center and restaurants. The location is also central on the strip right across from Caesars palace.
We enjoy staying at the Flamingo and this time they gave us a room in the newly renovated Gold Tower. Our room was nice and we never had issues with waiting too long for the elevator. The reason why this is a four star review and not a five star review is that the overall air quality in the Flamingo is below average. They need to work on their air purification on the main floors of the hotel/casino. There is a notable difference between the Flamingo and newly renovated casinos and hotels.
It's hard to find a more iconic and memorable hotel and casino in Las Vegas than the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Yeah, it's a bit dated now, but without the Flamingo who knows if we would have the same Las Vegas strip that we have today. Here are a few fun facts about the Flamingo: The Flamingo site occupies 40 acres originally owned by one of Las Vegas' first settlers, Charles "Pops" Squires. Squires paid $8.75 an acre for the land. In 1947 Bugsy Siegel (the mobster) lead the development of the original Fabulous Flamingo.
Being a "Platinum" level guest I would expect a little more respect then the non player reward guest. I paid extra the guaranteed connecting rooms, which was approx. $17.50 per room per night in addition to my regular rate, taxes and resort fees. Upon arrival, I was informed that two double queen rooms that connected "did not exist" and there is nothing they could do. I had to dig up my email confirmation showing them my communication with another Caesars reservation specialist to get them to find me an option, since after all they didn't mind taking the extra money I had to spend to "guarantee" it. Then I was told the room type I had also booked, wasn't an option for connecting rooms - which again I opted for the nicer more updated rooms with a view and again I had paid for that, but what I had to settle for was two rooms that were below the room request I had paid for and had a confirmation of. Not even a single apology or any reference to have a manager come over and try to help. I finally requested for a manager at this point to just help find two rooms that connected. His name was Mike and he had little to absolutely no customer experience skills. This was all inside the "Diamond and Platinum" check in area. which isn't your normal check in desk.
To top things off and officially be the final straw for my decision to return to M Life rewards over Caesars Total rewards program was I had asked for the lady who checked me in to not put the normal "hold/deposits" on the same card I had used to book, which is on file being a TR card and all and instead use my business card for the deposits. However not only was my card on file charged an additional $405, but the so called "pending" or "pre=authorization deposit: of $500 (each room being $250) was also charged! It wasn't pending at all. She literally charged the card. So rather only what incidentals or charges to the room to post out of the $500 they charged it - did not provide a receipt for my company's business card for my file and now I have to wait 7-10 business days for them to issue a refund and its already been 48hr since my trip and no alert or pending credit, so the feeling is they just robbed an extra $905 for my weekend.
I had two additional trips one in August and one in September, these both have no already been cancelled and my reservation will be taken elsewhere.
Flamingo is a fun, friendly casino to stay at or just visit. If you stay, the pool area is spacious and fun and the rooms are nice and affordable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is always a necessary stop every time we're in Vegas, and I highly recommend it for anyone. It's a beautiful walk through a "tropical" habitat for flamingo, other birds and fish. Please check out Flamingo's website for info. I highly recommend Flamingo to stay and/or visit.
I was pleasantly surprised with the room.. easy check in..easy check out..quick deposit return..cant ask for any better in sin city
A smoky, lively bar/restaurant/casino establishment right in the middle of the strip. An ok place, but very touristy.
We didn't stay there, but we did visit the flamingos in the garden area. The birds are so beautiful. And watching the smiling faces of the kids, makes it all worthwhile.
Love staying here! Had a blast at the pool the music was on point!
Didn't stay at hotel room, but want to next time. Went there for casino, and mostly the birds they have in their courtyard. Some are rescued and are being taken care of there. Informative signs are a nice touch. I could spend hours and hours there just watching them all--swim, call to each other, preen, nap, and, and, and... and I would have spent more hours if I had more time!
Please, if you have children, teach them to respect these beautiful creatures, and not to harass them. It is a great way to introduce children (or yourself) to birdwatching.
We booked a room with a child. First, when we checked in we were hoping to hit the pool. Check in was at 4 and the family pool closed at 5pm! Like what the heck!!! So our son only got 30 minutes in. The room was dated and really needed some work and dusting! The lamps and phone were dusty! As you can see in the photos! Plug plates were busted; Pay Day wrapper in the night stand drawer! Bathroom needs renovation! Just not the hotel I d want to stay at again!
Covid had line long at check in but was able to get your room. Wasn't the one we asked for and reserved but they got us in the right room the next day. Pool was tremendously cold. Left wallet in room and they mailed to me.
The casino and the hotel is great. You can't really go wrong with this option. And don't miss out on the events held in this and the other hotels.
Nice park with flamingo) also, you can take pictures with parrots for $15. I'm disappointed with lunch at the buffet(((
It is so pretty, and the slots were very good to me!!
Good beds. Does need a little cleaning and updating
Room was bright, clean, and newly remodel. The only thing missing was a coffee maker. Liked the convince of kiosk check in and check out. Great price for mid week. Always enjoy staying at the Flamingo.
TO FLAMINGO: You might want to consider fixing these.
I was disappointed with the room that they gave me, will give this experience 1 start but ive stayed in here a few times so far this is the not so good experience. I get it, we dont usually stay in the room when going to vegas but imagine taking a shower seeing these not knowing where to put your soap. Not to mention a lot of stuff in my roon was not working, such as some lights.
The flamingos are super cool, alongside the different birds they have outside. Super pretty.
My husband and I love this hotel, mainly for its location on the strip which we think is pretty central. The rooms are comfortable, maybe not the glitziest or biggest. The Flamingo Garden is an amazing space and I would highly recommend a quick wander through the scenery to admire the many birds that live there - the Pelican feeds happen twice a day.
Lots of great energy people having fun safe wearing mask socially distancing
Great hotel right in the centre of the strip. The rooms are clean and in good condition. Large bathroom with plenty of features. Unfortunately the swimming pool is only open limited hours so it might not be possible to use the pool if arriving back late from a long day out.
It was a worthwhile experience in flamingo Las Vegas hotel. Their airport taxi is good, the drivers are nice and always on time.
However, it couldn't go down well with me when I was asked to pay additional charges of $125. I see that as a hidden charges.
Love the Flamingo. It's our go-to place to stay on the Strip. Prime location and reasonable. Found the Bird Bar this time and enjoyed their happy hour several times. Fun to go visit the live flamingos in the sanctuary.
The flamingo is in a great location with nice rooms, views and easy access to everything. The staff is great. Breakfast is good and satisfying. Nice but not as luxurious as some of the others but one of the better locations.
Stayed there for business. The room was modern and clean but nothing special. Would have been improved with some coffee and tea facilities and the shower was not flexible to use.
The Flamingo is a flashy flashback of a bygone era. The lights are amazing. The people are helpful and attentive. I spent a long time here. Bugsy Seigel s memorial is small and it s just outside the chapel. Small venue for a wedding chapel and stairs for days. I don t recommend a wedding here. The Flamingos, both live and faux, are a spectacle not to be missed. It s in the heart of Las Vegas. It s not Caesars so you ll be happy when staying on the ides of March. Caesars Palace is across the street.
Loved the birds. Rest assured that kids will be fascinated.
Poor service, NO microwaves, WiFi only available for 2 days, and sound travels easily through the walls. Would rather stay at ANY Best Western. As expected, food is expensive here at the hotel in Vegas but the quality DOES NOT match the price.
Heard that the Flamingo was the lower class of the hotels on the strip but we were happily surprised when we saw new carpets and everything in immaculate condition. Will definitely be back!
Annual girls pilgrimage to Vegas. Flamingo never disappoints.
LOVED it here. On the strip, rooms are clean, and lots of entertainment!!
Excellent staff customer service, beautiful hotel with more than enough slots, table games and restaurants. With social distancing implemented it was a struggle to get through check in but the guest services rep was overly cordial. The upgrade to the suite was a great idea My only issue was being harassed by security for recording my slot play. I'm a youtuber who receives income from sharing my travel experiences.
All of the people at the flamingo we re super nice. But manny with bag check and Ruth at the front desk really made our stay special. They were so kind and so enthusiastic. I will be returning because of the amazing hospitality I was shown through the whole staff, but especially these two.
Great early check in, and the customer service at check in was great! ..... but after several requests about our bathroom TV not working, it was NEVER fixed. The AC in the room was horrible, it never felt cold! A couple of lights didn t work as well. I come to Vegas every year and this is a hotel I don t highly recommend.
Love this place. Right in the middle of the action with graft prices
Great value, really good hotel and pretty view, very comfortable and clean. Complimentary breakfast is ok
Certain section and it's quite all to yourself Wonderful casino
Love it here
The waitress and Host are always so Attentive
Checked us into a queen room on the wrong side of the hotel. The non smoking room reeked of smoke. Called the front desk, they couldn't do anything about it until tomorrow if I called. They did send someone up to spray the room. We did get into the king strip view room the next day.
In town for work. Pleasant staff and decor. The room I had was recently upgraded so it was pretty nice. However, the towels I received all throughout my stay were as thin and rough as sandpaper. Shower was narrow and didn t make any sense that I had to be fully in the shower to reach the faucet handle. Also, didn t like the WiFi stinginess ($15 charge for anything over 2 devices).
It's a fine hotel. A bit older and has a definite odor of old tobacco in the lobby and casino. Watch out for all the Wyndham people trying to sell you timeshares every day when you enter or go back and forth to your room.
Let me first start by say the remodel looks great! Covied19 body heat temperatures are at the front door with security at a lot of other resorts to take extra measures but not here. We've been without hot water for 3 days now and I reported it twice. We can't get into the pool due to the amount of people that can only be in the pool area at one time. I get that but make it only for the people staying at the resort. But the problem i have with that is I'm staying at the resort and can't get into the pool I'm paying for. Very disappointed!!!
DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU DONT MIND NOT BEING ALLOWED AN ENTRANCE TO THE POOL. Booked at this hotel thinking I was able to enjoy my time at the pool BUT there s a capacity limit so if you want to be at the pool you have to be there at 7AM! That s ridiculous! Next time they should warn people before they book a room.
They are working to improve rooms--not all are created the same. I must say the staff I interacted with where very friendly and helpful.
The Flamingo is perfectly positioned on the Strip. Close to major attractions such as High Roller. Check in was efficient and the staff are friendly and helpful.
