All I can say is uni accommodation wasn t like this in my day. My daughters accommodation was amazing when I dropped her off. She sourced and viewed it with the help of Sean and Dave at Trophy (who she said were great helping her find somewhere to live). I have to say the finish was more like a hotel than a uni flat. Clean, fresh and a lovely place for a father to be reassured and know his daughter is living in a well built and looked after place. Not a bad price too considering the standard.

DO NOT rent from this company unless you want to be treated like dirt. I have stayed in one of their properties for 4 months but then was forced to leave as there a fire occurred on the 9th of January in one of the properties. The fire was not even in my apartment and had nothing to do with me and but it transpired that none of the fire systems were working, even the fire department was appalled at the state of their fire safety and how the situation could have been a lot worse had everyone not got out in time.
Since January I have been staying at home, it takes me an hour and 15 minutes to get to university now and even worse with my disability as I have to use a wheelchair for long distances and all this extra travel is not good for my health and sometimes I have to miss university as I can't handle the travel so my studies are now getting affected .It is now February I was told I could cancel my contract but then when I said I want to cancel suddenly the whole company communication systems are now not working. They stopped replying to my emails, calls or texts. They have taken my money which I need back so I can move to another property. I am now depressed that I have to deal with all this and they won't let me back in to the property to collect my clothing and other various items so I have been forced to contact a solicitor and try to get this sorted.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Do not use this agency. Was shown a flat during quarantine on video and then when had the opportunity to look round was shown a completely different flat. was near impossible to get hold of the agent and kept being brushed off. Thankfully while trying to get hold of her we viewed some backup options with another agency as we were then emailed and told that there must have been a mistake but didn t say that it would be resolved and then went on to say we should look elsewhere. really terrible communication good luck to anyone who rents with these people.

We looked at the property in June 2018, a lovely house, but there was fly tipping immediately under the front window. (Trophy private land, but not part of the tenancy) We were promised by Dave, a seemingly lovely chap, that the rubbish would be moved before my daughter moved in. On that understanding, we signed the contract. She moved in on 6th July, fly tipping still there. It is now 8 weeks since she moved in. I managed to speak to Dave once a few weeks ago and he expressed embarrassment that it hadn't been moved, said he would escalate the situation and get back to me. He clearly has no intention of doing either of these things as he hasn't kept me up to date and he hasn't returned any of my subsequent calls. I also asked about us being allowed to install more security cameras, at our own expense, to try and stop fly tipping in the future and he hasn't got back to me about that either. He says Trophy pride themselves on being a good landlords and wants long term tenants. They are going about it the wrong way, and if it takes this long to get a health hazard removed, how long does it take to get other problems sorted?
REALLY disappointed because we really though we had found a decent landlord.
EDIT - 3 months now and still not moved.

Landlords only concern is money.

Landlords only concern is money.
Who do not reply to maintenance issues,
They will lie to you,
Rat infested properties,
Loud neighbors,
The list is too long to fully post, I would rate less than 1 star if it was possible.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY STUDENTS.

I have had a really positive experience from the start with enquiring about the property to eventually near enough moving in.

Your staff are a true asset to the company and it feels like nothing is ever too much trouble for them and emails are always responded to in a timely manner.

The staff are friendly and approachable and I have no trouble emailing and dealing with them.

I had a gentlemen show me round the first viewing (I can't remember his name) and he was really lovely and showed me round and gave me really helpful information which led to me reserving the flat.

Olivia in particular has been extremely helpful and always being a fantastic point of call whenever I have needed assistance or help and anything she hasn't been able to help with she has found someone who could help.

I have found the process overall really positive and not one I have experienced from an estate agents before, which to be honest to find a nice estate agents in Liverpool has been an experience. I have no problem with recommending TH to my friends and family and I am really excited to be moving in on the 15th July and I feel confident knowing that if I have any queries in the future/problems then they will be happy to help.

My niece is living in one of this landlord s properties this year. Infested with mice and nothing is being done - just constantly being lied to. One of her friends is also one of their tenants and has the pleasure of cockroaches as a housemate. Disgraceful that this company is getting away with it. Her father has contacted the council this morning to report them and I feel like contacting the press. Companies like this must be stopped!!

Stayed last years at the Scotland road property. Within the first week had flooding and raw sewage come up from our plug hole and shower and when asked about it they said United utilities were sorting it. A follow up phone call to United proved otherwise and the agency was lying to us. Agency was too lazy to solve a problem that could cause major health problems. Plumbing in the sink was so awful water seeped through the laminate flooring and caused an awful damp smell and caused the floor boards to separate. Tried to communicate many times, but no one ever answered the phone and left us to do the plumbing job unqualified. Broken blinds meant strangers travelling on the main road could see right into our studio which gave us no privacy. Promised a microwave oven and grill combo when in reality it was just a microwave. Plug sockets didn t work. And though this isn t an agency issue no tenants ever took the bins out and it took us many attempts to try and teach others what goes in recycling and what doesn t as our bins were rejected many times.

In sum do not rent from trophy homes unless you want an awful university experience.

Amazing quality student accommodation for an independently run business. As a parent of someone who s daughter is at uni in Liverpool I m impressed with the finish of the rooms and staff in the office.

Probably the best accommodation I've lived in since moving over to Liverpool 4 years ago. Locked myself out during out of office hours but they were still quick in getting someone out to me. Very helpful and friendly to deal with :)

When facing difficulties with my old accomodation, Trophy Homes moved me and my flatmates to another accomodation with no extra charge. The new accomodation is lovely and clean and I enjoy living there.

I don t understand how these other reviews are com...

I don t understand how these other reviews are commending this company. Am I the only one that has had such a bad experience? I signed a contract for a room in a student house but then my circumstances changed and I was told to get out of the contract I would need to find a replacement for the room. Fair enough. When I did actually find someone about 2 months ago now, I emailed and called with the information of the new tenant and their contact details. I was then told they would be in contact with them and send them the contract to sign which would in turn release me from the contract. I remained in contact with the new tenant to make sure everything got sorted, but still they have not received any contract to sign. After both of us calling for weeks and getting through twice to explain our situation and be told it would be sorted asap, still nothing has been done. When I do get through, it s either a minute conversation where I explain the situation, provide the contact details for the new tenant, including email and phone number and then told it will be sorted, or it s a 10 second phone call where I m told they will call me back but never do. It s been at least 2 months now and nothing has changed. I haven t set foot in the house ever, or paid anything to my knowledge. But still it isn t the best thing to be attached to a contract you want nothing to do with. Especially when there is someone who does want the room which is just sitting vacant and they can t have it because nobody in the company is bothering to sort the tenant switch which would only take a signature online. Ridiculous. Really regret signing with this company and as far as I m concerned I m nothing to do with them and refuse to be held by contract when they have had plenty of time to sort my release and are fully aware of the new tenants interest. The other tenants of the house are aware of the situation also and have told me they too can never get into contact with the landlord or company. Extremely unprofessional.

We have seen some of the lower reviews here and really can't understand, it seems malicious. This building is easily one of the best in Liverpool, and really sensible price. Never had any trouble at all with the office.

I moved in about a month ago in Highgate. I haven't got internet for about a month. Whenever I call the company, they always say they will call back but they never did. Until now I don't know what caused our internet problems and the staff of front desk says solving our internet problem is not their priority. My room is very small and I feel it is not worth money I paid. Do not recommend anyone who wants to live here in the future.

By far the worst lettings agency I have ever used, I feel sorry for any student who has to deal with this company. From the day we signed for our house they have been appalling. Lack of communication is a key downfall for this company since any time you ring them, they never answer or an admin team who don't even work for trophy homes answer.

Subsequently when we moved into our property we were found out that we had been missold and that our house was actually a badly painted and we had no access to heating for 8 weeks. Would have been great if trophyhomes would have fixed these issues.

Windsor House is a good building, safe community with not too many residents to contend with! Cinema Room is a nice touch, you can book it out for your flat for a private night and it is stocked with drinks and snacks for you. No real issues other than shower blocking which was fixed quickly.

Love my flat. Moved in in September and it s fab compared to my last place. I ve got my own tv, kitchen and ensuite. The Halloween hangover kit the night after our night out was a nice touch. Told all my friends for next year. They re jealous of my room.

We lived at Latimer House last year, and have to say it was really a great place to live. The wifi was a bit intermittent now and again, but it was always explained to us what was going on. It was 10 times better than the Fresh place we lived in which was double the price.

Currently staying in Latimer House, I've had no major issues so far, all repairs were prompt, there is more communication between the tenants and the landlord. My flat is genuinely an amazing value for money and I will be staying in the here next year. Would highly recommend the property as most other studios in Liverpool are way pricier and less of a value for money. One plus of the place is the washing machines, as almost all other places seem to use Circuit launderettes which are an absolute rip off.

I've previously rented in another of their properties - City View and have had a significantly less pleasant experience there and I would avoid the property likes plague. My studio had no space for a big hob, so I was promised that an induction hob 3 months prior to moving in. I was also promised a desk and I haven't had either of these on moving in. The desk arrived a month later, and I was left without a cooking facility for two months because every time I rang to query when I'll be receiving a hob I was told I'd get a callback, which I never received. In the first two weeks of moving in the back gates of the property were kicked in by feral kids that hang out in the area. The same kids were entering the property via the front door as some tenants refused to lock the doors and the door itself could be opened without a key if it wasn't locked. The mechanism on the doors wasn't changed for a good month at LEAST. The area itself is absolutely awful, I've seen a lad clearly off his head ripping off a pigeons head right under my window... There is also a constant issue with fly tipping. I had to beg to pay my first rent instalment. Again, been promised a callback which I never received. No selective landlords licence on the property. It's evident by how unsafe the property is in the event of a fire. On two occasions, new tenants are given master keys or the wrong keys. On both occasions, my friends rooms were ENTERED BY RANDOM PEOPLE. Hot water wasn't working properly mid november. It took countless emails to get them to come and fix the boiler a month later. Coming home from a tiring day and not being able to shower is infuriating to say the LEAST. Pest issues since November '18 (and prior according to one tenant), we've had mice, rats, and I had a fly infestation in my bathroom due to the mice dropping dead in-between the walls. Rodents were living under the showers and in the binroom scratching away every single night for weeks between 10pm-4am. Theres one washer and dryer to share between at least 11 tenants. Currently the dryer is out of use and has been for at least two months. I have reported it making funny noises months ago but no one ever came to fix it. Earlier in the year, the door of the washing machine was jammed for days, meaning that someone's clothes were stuck inside for days. It didn't get fixed for weeks leaving us with no choice but to use launderettes.

The company seems to have improved a lot, however it is only fair to let people know of how awful my experience at City View was. Regardless, I am very happy with my current apartment.
