This is not a resort property. This a hotel w/ a spa. Resorts provide extra pampering. There are no Waiters on beach, no chairs or umbrellas provided. We have to pay $80 a day for 2 chairs and an umbrella. This is the cheapest option and only allows you to be at n the back row which Is 5 rows deep. The beach is not private and it appears non-guest can pay a fee to access beach. Our view was 3 shell cabanas in front of us. No view of ocean at all. Do not book this if u are looking
for anything other than a basic hotel room w/ modest amenities:

We started our vacation at Hilton Grand Parc Soleil in Orlando. Going from that Hilton property to this was a huge let down. The rooms are so small and outdated. The only nice thing was the beach proximity. The pools were HOT & not refreshing at all!

This place is dirty disgusting and horrible the Bedding is stained and dirty the carpets are also stained and dirty. The walls are stained and dirty. There are broken items such as the lampshade and the alarm clock. The air-conditioner does not turn off. We are leaving early and moving to the Hyatt. I do not recommend this place . I stayed here five years ago and this place was ok now its nothing but a crap hole and that's me being nice the Hilton family should be embarrassed by this place scumbags.

One of the best experiences and a wonderful resort. There is no use in paying resort fees, there is nothing in that. But as a Motel, I recommend that. If you take the east side of the room, it's useless. Take the room on the west side, so you can get to the beach view.

Beach is not private anyone can post up on top of you, crazy crowded, buy your own beach chair at Walmart for $10 instead of renting daily. Parking isn't free. Worth paying extra for beach side view beause street view (although great for people watching) has a $2 beer bar across the street open until 3am (jamminz) BUMPS you can feel it in your sleep. The staff is the best part made it all worth it; kind and conversational helpful and relaxed (Zlatan and Jennifer front desk esp above across and beyond). Avoid spring break if at all possible. Free bike rides sweet acrossndllnd yoga 8am on beach enjoyable. Very kid friendly

i love this hotel and it was even a little bit better this time. i have stayed here on short trips to the area at least twice a year for the past several years. because of status, i got to check in early, which is rare for this property. they dont like granting late check-outs either due to occupancy turnover. i finally got one of the renovated rooms on the 4th floor this trip after seeing the construction zone for a long time. my king room was beautifully decorated, clean, and located right over the pool area facing Pier 60 which is my favorite view. you cant see the sunset directly, but i could live on this balcony. breakfast was very good...i had free continental breakfast due to status but upgraded to the full hot buffet and was glad i did. unfortunately they have gone to forced valet rather than self-park, but TJ was a star staff member and always quick and friendly. the pool deck, and the pools themselves, were recently renovated and are perfect now. towel service for the beach is an excellent perk! i'll be back in a few months...

One of the worst Hiltons we stayed in. It's ok, but does not run up to the Hilton standard. Old carpets in the hallways and rooms, old sliding door to the bathroom, 2nd day no hot water (can happen sometimes), mold and rust in the bathroom, very limited complimentary breakfast. It's just not Hilton.

Very nice location, white sandy beach with games for kids, hotel has direct access from pool has a bar so you can sit outside by the beach watching kids playing !Pool facilities are great , rooms are ok maybe a bit old fashioned but clean and with big balconies with nice views to clearwater beach would highly recommend and will definitely return when i come to clearwater

If their price is decent then stay there. If it's priced high, I would skip. There's no doubt that the location is prime. The sand is white and the view is perfect. The hotel itself seemed clean but the wait staff is not trained well. Just unprofessional and not into their job. Just meh.

Will not be back, can't believe I wasted points on this place. Sucker you in with a cheap room rate and nickel and dime you to death for everything. Tried to check out early because of a hurricane and was charged.

Great location near restaurants, shops, and water activities! Beautiful beachfront hotel as well. However, hotel is in need of many upgrades. Members need to know that there is no Hilton Honors check-in line and no members lounge.

The resort was very nice...the employees were extremely helpful and there was a lot of things to do here. It took some time to get a cot and the rooms were smaller than expected, but it was a great place/location.

Great place! Pretty busy even though at 50% capacity. The pool is a good size, and even the kiddie pool is a good size. You can rent chairs, umbrellas and cabanas for the beach. I do think management needs to address the smell of propane in the lobby and ground level. Its apparent their A/C runs on it, but the smell shouldn't be that bad. Overall, we were very happy with the views, restaurants and hospitality. Highly recommend the Spotted Donkey on premises if you are hungry!

The beds are comfortable, staff is very nice and the rooms are clean. The rooms have some damage and could use some maintenance. The location is great and you can walk to a wide variety of places. The pools are nice and clean! Staff hangs around the pool and offers services. A lot of the activities advertised and included in the additional daily fees of staying here were unavailable... so that stunk a little for the kids. It definitely wasn't a bad stay, but for the price I could stay at "nicer" places. We didnt come to hang out in the room so it wasn't a huge deal, but I like to compare quality to price. :)

Summary:

Summary:
Fantastic location. Everything else not so much. For a "resort" in this price range this needs to be much, much better and provide a much higher value.

We stayed here for the weekend and were both completely disappointed.

Really the only thing the Hilton Clearwater Beach has going for it is the location. It is right on Clearwater Beach in walking distance to just about everything. Unfortunately so are many other places within the same price range that are far, far better.

You have to pay for parking (Self or valet) but the parking lots stay full and we were told "Oh just drive around and you should be able to find something. If not, park on the street and try again later". When being charged to park you had better have enough parking and be a bit more helpful.

Entering the building the lobby is beautiful and well laid out. That's where it stops though. The rest of the building is very dated looking and poorly designed.

The rooms are very simple without any standout features. The big issue here is when going out onto the balcony all the gulf facing rooms look out over the roof of the ground floor. That roof is covered with trash and AC/Laundry units so all you hear is machinery. It was impossible to hear the ocean which is a prime reason to pay all the extra fees/money to stay on the beach. Plus who wants to look out over a roof covered in cigarette butts and trash?

They charge a parking fee per car of $10/day self park or $18/day valet. They also charge a $20/day resort fee. The resort fee includes towels, 2 bottles of water (Refilled by room service so if you don't have room service come in you won't get your waters) and 2 tickets for drinks (Pina Colada, beer or a couple other well brand drinks to choose from) and that's it as far as I can tell. Beach items such as umbrellas or chairs are extra. No breakfast included (Breakfast options are Continental buffet for $14 or full breakfast buffet for $18).

The pool is very basic rectangular pool with nothing special. There is a hot tub though when we were there we were told by staff that the jets were broken.

There is one small bar outdoor by the pool and one small bar on the beach though they were all closed by 10pm even though it was the weekend.

Food at the restaurant was average though prices were high. Same goes for room service though that's to be expected.

Overall, there are several other hotels within walking distance that are in the exact same price range but offer much, much more (Sandpearl Resort for example). There was nothing that would bring me back here and several things that would specifically make me avoid this hotel.

Pros:
Right on Clearwater Beach but that's it

Cons:
Due to loud machinery on trash covered roof none of the rooms can hear the ocean
Expensive fees that don't really provide anything
Bars close early even on weekends
Outdated decor
Very hard uncomfortable mattress
Unhelpful staff
Very slow internet unless you pay to upgrade to "Premium wifi"

It's just okay. Rooms were small and not very many extras. No wet bar in room but there was a bar in the lobby which had a good acoustic guitar player one night. Hotel does not have a concierge - which I tend to expect from a Hilton. There is not much to do unless it's a water activity and it happened to be raining and cold when we were there. Hotel staff were really nice and extra accommodating. I expected more amenities for the amount they charge for a room.

Definitely not worth the asking price that I paid. The building is definitely out dated in terms of appearance and some mechanics like the squeaking and groaning elevator. One of the valet drivers, (the older one) almost hit me with a car and made me stop even though I had the right of way. The food is made well, the price not so much considering you can go across the street for better quality at a lower price. Parking is $25 a night on top of $25 dollars resort fee per day so keep that in mind when pricing things out. The room service is very quick. The gym is surprisingly equipped other than the removal of the water fountain due to "Covid 19". You would think that a nice resort would replace it with a contact-less water station but alas thankfully I had a janitor offer to bring me some water. I can confidently say that this location is a shadow of it's former self and could draw in more business with more competitive pricing and maybe get a permit for a more outdoor spa experience. A paint job and a revamping of the experience here. Walked out of my door to repair work being done in the corridor right by my room which woke my son up.

This was a really awesome experience. The food and complimentary breakfast tickets I had were well worth the price. I love the salmon. The tiki bar bartender was a super star and the slide outside on the beach was a nice touch. I would go here again. P.s. outstanding service by management!

Terrible experience. People in the bathroom off the beach in the women's were 3 people doing God knows what in a stall! No toilet paper!!! Unacceptable! I had kids with me! Never again !

Old hotel. They charge for EVERYTHING! Complimentary breakfast costs you $8. Beach chairs, umbrellas and cabana cost you. Even as a Hilton guest! Was told they would give us a king suite upgrade as a diamond member and then tried to charge us $150 more per night. Stay away from this hotel.

Get an outside pool facing room since the others unfortunately overlook the very loud hvac systems. If you are going to need your car daily, park in the garage two blocks north sice the hilton valet-only system takes forever. Otherwise just like all other Hiltons, nice, affordable and clean.

Outrageous price for an old room, terrible beds, moldy shower/tub, Elevators that didn't work on a regular basis. Incidental charges for items/ services not received and Outrageous prices for food and drink. $24.95 for breakfast buffet is a bit steep for what was provided. $17.00 for a club sandwich also Outrageous. Will not go to this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Great location and service. I got a pier view room.
The room was clean and looked modern. Service was prompt. The bar downstairs and the late night menu were good enough, though I had most of my main meals from elsewhere due to the nature of y trip.

The resort was nice and clean. My complaint is the underhanded way they try to rip you off! I vacationed with two other couples, we took an uber from the airport so didn't have a car. If not for the woman at the pool who told us to make sure we examine our bill for parking charges, I would never have known they charged me for parking every day we were there. They tried to get an extra $125 from us. The woman at the pool had been to that resort 30 times she said and almost every time she was charged for parking that she didn't use. And this is even after we told them we did not have a car when we checked in. Not cool Hilton!! Check your bill if you are going to stay there!!

Don't ever let them "upgrade" you to a Harbor View room. It means they hate you and want to torture you with no sleep for your entire stay by being kept awake by a dive bar, Jamminz, across the street (open til 3am)!

Oh, and the "resort fee" covers only access to the pool and gym, not beach chairs. And the "free" non-motorized water sports are only free from 8-9am.

And the toilets are child hight...as in mid calf. I feel like I'm in an elementary school bathroom.

Stay elsewhere.

Booked a FL style staycation for my son's 5th birthday. We have stayed at the Hilton a few times before but this was obviously a little different. We had a nice city view room. Great scene from the balcony of Mandalay Ave and the intercoastal water. Comfy queen beds, very clean room and shower. Front desk associates were friendly and super helpful! Let me check in early, before the room was ready, so we could hang out by the pool. Everywhere there were hand sanitizing stations. But needed a little patience, with the elevators, due to only so many people being able yo fit in at a time. But had a great stay!

The location was superb!!! the rooms were small but we were offered an upgrade and early check in which is why im giving 4 stars . The valet parking was a 1st for me and my family and it was such an inconvenience as we tried to call down to have the car ready but no one ever answered then it took forever once we walked down. I didn't like not having my keys to run to the car as needed. We got so frustrated at one point bc it was taking so long they just handed us our keys and we couldn't figure out how to exit we had to park and go ask ( you use your room key if not you have to pay w/ a credit card to exit ) then we got stuck behind a car for 5 min trying to figure out how to exit as well just over all was a pain ! The staff was very friendly and the water pressure was great ! The toilets as my son said would suck your soul down as they flushed so hard ! I would stay here again just for the location but would refuse valet that you pay 25 for anyways !

The postlitives: Friendly staff. The location was nice and we were able to walk to everything we needed. It was nice to have a bar at the beach...just be prepared to pay $12 for a drink. Also nice to have the cabanas, umbrellas, and chairs for the beach but they are also extra cost everyday.

The negatives: The room was disappointing. My "gulf view" room was all parking lot. When I asked the front desk if my gulf view room was supposed to be looking at the parking lot the answer I recieved was "yes". I should have saved myself the money and gotten a room without a balcony. The bed was definitely not a king size. It was overpriced for what we recieved especially since you have to pay for anything extra.

Wow did they do a facelift on the Hilton. I was here about a year-and-a-half ago and it was a completely different color and now it looks very European and very tropical absolutely awesome the service is impeccable I would highly recommend anybody to stay here because the staff is beautiful they treat you like a king. I would say one of the top five hotel resorts in Clearwater Beach

Over priced for a very old outdated hotel. This is the worst Hilton that I have ever been two. The great location isn't worth the price. I wished I would have stay anywhere but here. Tons of construction noise, dusty ,and labor's staring at the women in bikinis. The only thing that was first class was the gentleman at provided valet service. They were great. They always was very respectful looking to help with every need. I would like to say Thank you too the valet crew. You guys are the best thing that this old hotel has going for it.

This place is a joke, that leaves you broke! The WiFi is a joke. It works when it wants to. It just keeps kicking you off the server. When you try to log-in, using the "password" given to you by the front desk...it doesn't work. Different WiFi passwords depending on where you are in the hotel. Attended a conference here. No WiFi in conference rooms. Front desk said that it is pay per use, in the convention rooms. Really?.... $300 per night, with included WiFi, and the WiFi doesn't work in the whole hotel...just my room? What a joke. One of the towels in the bathroom had some brown stain on it! Really?.... These folks don't verify that the laundry is clean? What a joke. The hot water pressure is a joke. Hot water completely turns off when someone else (in another room) flushes their toilet or turns on their shower. I called the front desk and they pretended that this was some sort of isolated incident... like they were surprised to hear it. They said that they would send an "Engineer" right up. No one showed up. No hot water for 1/2 a day. They should of sent a plumber, not an Engineer. Any Engineer would tell you that this place is a joke. The in-room fridge was frozen solid.... what a joke. No extra pillows or blankets, too. Balcony was flooded by the room AC unit, as it did not have proper condensation drainage. This made the balcony useless. What a joke. The cleaning service didn't even clean our room one day until after 5pm. I came back from my conference to a dirty room. What a joke. Stay away from the place. It is nothing more than a tourist trap, that gives the Hilton brand a very bad name. They did succeed is one thing.... loosing a repeat customer. I will never visit another Hilton hotel again. You were warned.

Nearby restaurants, pier proximity, misc activities make this hotel a great location. Bed is super comfortable. Price is high even in off season. The hotel is in the middle of renovations and the rooms have been redone but the improvements make it better.

Great location, very professional and helpful Staff. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the parking is expensive, may not be their fault but guess should receive a discount (in my opinion). Great Place on the beach right next to the pier and all.

This review is to commend Nick and Justin (front desk/bell staff?) for their help and friendly service on Friday night.

My partner and I were stranded due to our rental car breaking down in Clearwater mere hours before we had a flight out of Tampa. We walked to this nearby Hilton and asked for assistance getting a cab. Even though we weren't guests, Justin rushed to help us inside and Nick arranged a ride to the airport for us. Pretty sure he even stayed slightly past his off time to make sure the car service arrived. We can't thank you enough, but thank you so much for all of your assistance!

Rooms were so small compared to pictures. Bathroom was very small. Because of covid there wasn't complimentary breakfast. The bill for 4 people was $94 with small portions and was horrible. They said it was still complimentary but had to choose from menu. That was a lie! Had to wait constantly for elevator. No one was social distancing or wearing mask inside hotel like they were supposed too. But the breakfast was what did it for me. Never will be back.

The ugly, the rooms are loud due to street noise from clubs and shops so if you are use to the living in New York City vibe you won't be bothered, the second thing to get over however is the loud air conditioning unit when they renovated the building they should have done these as well. The plus is the staff, restaurant, beach and zero pool with music that plays down in the water itself. This fascinated everyone, it was pretty cool. I went to the spa and it was a wonderful experience. Medically trained staff just what I needed. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great pool! Rooms dated but very clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Just wish we has more towels. Service fee of 25 dollars a day. Could not use most of amenities available for that fee. Great location! Will go again!

The stay there was a disaster. My wife and I were on our anniversary but paying a Hilton was definitely a mistake.
The rooms are not enough isolated, so you can hear everything from the next room.
The bathroom has no bathtub.
Parking $25 per day.
Seats and tents at the beach $200 per day.
The lobby has a very strong gas smell.
There is no full body mirror in the room.
Next to the building, they have a roof full of air conditioning machines, the sound and the heat from there is horrible.
Too many hidden fees, I paid all the charges at hotels.com and they charged me the resort fee and taxes again.
Very disappointed, I was expecting something better from a Hilton.
All the other buildings around them seem a lot better. I will never come back.

For our trip we wanted to stay for 3 nights in this hotel as a rest, on entry you had to first pay $ 150 for things like Wi-Fi and useless things and extra parking fees, the beach chairs at the beach are of course not included and cost from $ 50 upwards ... Depending on whether only couch, exta screen, etc. We were very nagatively surprised by the hotel and the view of the mega loud air conditioning and ventilation systems from the balcony were terrible! Very expensive breakfast is of course extra ... we were outside very good and cheaper breakfast.
