I ALWAYS have issues with Hilton. They are not accommodating at all. I thought because I was here for a conference at this Hilton it would be better but no. I arrived here at 830am or so and it's now 2:45pm and I'm still waiting for my room. I've inquired 4 times and the front us acting like I'm bothering them. Meanwhile I'm watching ppl get their King beds that they keep telling me isn't available. Ughhhhh....I can't wait for this conference to be over!!! #BadCustomerService #RudeStaff #IHateHilton #TheyDontDeserveOneStar

Loved the Hilton. I was there for a conference and they did a great job managing the event. My room was quiet and clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel overall was very nice and quite clean. I would absolutely recommend.

Upon Check-in my card was declined even though it was authorized for the payment amount. Trying my card again several times was unsuccessful because the authorized amount was held on the card account. There arw up charges for more than 2 people but when we asked for an extra blanket set they claimed to be out of blankets. The next day they brought two very worn felt blankets with holes in them. The gym usage fee is greater than any gym I have been to before, the wifi is almost 20/night, there is a fee to hold your bag if you check out early and fly out later in the day. The next day I left a message at 11am asking why there was still a hold on the room total on my card even though they said it was declined and we paid the room total in full using another card. I didn't receive a call back until 3pm, and it was someone who I could not understand who asked me to repeat everything from the message, they said they would look into it. That was yesterday. I would stay clear of this "4-star" hotel

Overall very nice hotel. The location is perfect with an amazing view of Navy Pier, providing you get the right room. Has a very convenient cafe for snacks and light meals. One con is the room temperature. It was ridiculously hot forcing us to keep the windows open. With the heat shut off, our room would automatically rise to 75-F. Otherwise, very nice hotel. We would return again in the future.

It was a good time. Comfy beds. Only downfall that I can't give 5 stars for is because of the protesting. There was protesting going on even over night so from the moment we got there at 3pm till we left the morning after at 10am all you could hear was banging on drums, air horns and people yelling. I was on the top floor and still could hear it. Awful.

Great property and location however room was pretty bad. No bar fridge. Oh wait, there were 2 bar fridge, both unplugged and kept in room like storage. No coffee or tea. Connecting to internet was a pain. Was charged extra, had to call back for refund.

Nice.

I would highly recommend! I stayed in room 2348 and it was fabulous! We went to the 24th floor for complimentary breakfast, but they were at capacity and running low on food, so the hostess gave us a free upgrade to eat downstairs at the 720 restaurant. I really enjoyed my stay!

Was upgraded to lake view and parking due to credit card rewards. Stayed overnight Saturday after seeing The Blue Man Group and having dinner at Gino's East. Excellent room, large bed, speedy WiFi. The breakfast in the lounge was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

Nice room..stayed 3 nights. One night maid did not clean our room. Trash was overflowing and no linens or coffee for next day. Front desk did send linens but said housekeeping was gone for the day. Split the bill with my friend and they would not allow me to use my Hilton points.. disappointed. I paid half of the bill. Otherwise all was great

I went for the pub. The rooms were out of my price range. I got one for a third of the price a half mile down the road. The pub is affordable and actually has Guinness smithwicks and harp on tap.

The Hilton Chicago is a perfect location for business meetings. The staff and conference rooms were excellent. The beds on the other hand were lumpy and the air conditioner wouldn't turn off.

I can't believe I lived in the Chicago area for 50 years and never checked this place out! To be fair, I don't need a hotel where I live, and South Michigan Ave was a mixed bag most of that time. Today it's a great hotel with great amenities, and a killer view.

This is an excellent hotel; the staff in particular were very nice and accommodating. The amenities are awesome. There is a large, clean gym and even a lap pool. I'm so glad we stayed here.

Absolutely wonderful time. The concierge was amazing. Got us all the reservationa that we needed. Was upgraded to higher floor with a better room. Right in the middle of all of the action. Great gift shop with good selection. Thanks for such an amazing time!

Disclaimer: I didn't stay here. But, I did come for an event, and the building is incredibly nice. The facilities were well organized and clean. I can't speak to it as a hotel, but as a venue I would highly recommend (assuming you can afford to book it)

The reason for the 3 star was the room layout. It was my hubby and me and our little one. They put us in a room with 2 doubles and 2 bathrooms. But there's no walking around room. The layout was really strange. Other than that, it was good.

Fun information of what movies were shot there. How it was used during the war. I did not get to see the grand ballroom though. Walking distance or close to a lot of area attractions and restaurants. Pretty close to the Bean and the Chicago museum. For the most part we just walked when it wasn't too cold. We walked one way to the Shedd, that was because we started very late in the day. Same thing to the American Girl place and that was because it was raining when we started. We even walked to the children's museum. However, distance is relative so some might think its too far south of the mile.

Great hotel, best one I've been to in Chicago thus far! It was very easy to find, very clean, decently priced, had friendly and helpful staff, and was simply luxurious. We were walking distance to most everything and just a short taxi ride from millennium station, as we take the train in. Great experience, will for sure be visiting this hotel again.

This is classy place with alot of history. I've attended a number of conferences here since the 80s and always enjoyed the location, and looking at the facilities. You are right in a very active partnof town near the park, lakefront and right on michigan ave so there is no shortage of ways to spend your day or evening.

This hotel is not your usual Hilton standard. The usual amenities like working refrigerator or even a microwave are not in these hotels. The room I stayed at was dirty and had old pizza boxes in it. Guest services could not be contacted from the room. Also be aware that they will raise their parking charges depending on when you stay. If you unfortunately stay at this location, there are several parking locations near by, including across the street will let you park your car for a reasonable price.

Got a good rate, but surprise! The parking was over $60 for overnight - outrageous! Please add that to your expected price when looking at this hotels to stay at before you choose this location.

I loved this hotel. Its grand and beautiful architecture. My room was on the 25th floor and a great view of the Willis tower. I HAD 2 BATHROOM. 2 BATHROOMS!!! Its close to everything, the Buckingham fountain, grant park, millennium park etc. Worth the stay. Con is parking. Their parking is $62 for one day. Smh!

The front desk employees are always very helpful and offer a quick check in. I very much appreciate that. Also, it may have been a mistake, but I was given a suite that was absolutely amazing. Great beds, very clean

Mostly great. Fitness center is amazing, even has a 3 lane lap pool! Only thing I thought was weird is that a standard room has two tiny full bathrooms, rather than just one regular size bathroom. Consider a remodel and combine the two small bathrooms into one bigger bath. A hotel room that sleeps for doesn't need to toilets and two tubs.
