Rooms were clean and big. Pretty big hotel but part of it still have an old look....
This has been a very nice hotel for a weekend stay. It's in a very convenient location in the city, across from the park where my run starts tomorrow. The room is clean and well-designed. The staff we have interacted with have been very nice. The only problem I've noticed is the difficulty in accessing the wifi from the room.
Nice room, very comfortable bed. Great amenities relative to other hotels. Service was very good. Some noise due to construction, likely depends on where your room is.
Rooms are pretty nice, a bit smaller than expected, but not uncomfortable. Everything is clean and the sound exposure is minimal. Great location for quick access to city and parks. Some rooms have nice views as well (park facing view). WiFi is super slow, that was the only frustration point.
Bummer they no longer have the executive lounge but great location and a must see.
Friendly staff and very clean lobby good breakfast option
Definitely recommend attending seminars there. The food is excellent!
I have to pay for everything .. At the first night The shower came out of the wall suddenly and stopped the cold water ... I was about to be burnt by hot water !! I believe It is too much for its room, coffee and service.
I have stayed here for a 6 days for a conference. The front desk was very friendly and helpful in not only checking-in but also providing me with a map pointing out the main attractions surrounding the hotel. My room was one with three windows facing the lake. You are waking up with a great view and the night lights you can see too. Location is great with this hotel. Overall, the housekeeper was efficient and when I returned to my room for a break, the room is already cleaned and put back to order. Overall, I would come back to stay with my family the next time.
Very historic hotel with great lake side rooms. A bit strange with some of the spiders outside windows, but they never got in the room and after a while were sorta interesting to watch (Ha!). The location and the quality of the hotel was very good and I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
Super friendly and helpful staff and a true four star experience. The athletic center feels like an upscale gym and every inch of the hotel is beautiful and clean.
Located ideally close to downtown Chicago by lake Michigan, Hilton Chicago embodied what a premium hotel should be like. Entering the front lobby it felt like I was entering an art museum. The decor was a perfect mix of the renaissance and modern material design. The rooms were spacious, and had two separate bathrooms with their own showers. The staff was nothing but professional. I would highly recommend this hotel for your temporary stay
Delicious food, outstanding service, beautiful place to be with friends, family and have a good time! Highly recommended
CHICAGO landmark with an outstanding business center
Very nice looking hotel. The confirmation email should include the phone number and address. The in room computer is bad.
Great location on Michigan Ave across from Grant Park. Lots of interesting history in the hotel. Gym has an entrance fee if you want to work out.
The architecture inside and out is simply gorgeous.. one of my favourite Hotels if you are in the area... The Normandie Lounge itself is a wonderful place to check out...
My room is very spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable, but the pillows are to firm for my liking, but everyone is different. I would stay here in the future if business brings me back to Chicago.
Kitty O'Shea's was a nice bar. Service was a little slow.
Company hosted a fundraiser there today. Very nice venue and the wait staff were fabulous.
Worst Hilton in the U.S.
Small beds, noisy, realy rude people everywhere you ask for something.
Worst attendance when we left the luggage in the morning, on top of paying 3 usd each, including a baby bag for my daughter's doll!!!
Need I say anything about this iconic hotel - everything is majestic. No free WiFi was a let down though.
The Hilton Chicago is a very nice hotel. It has a great ambiance, and plenty of history to boot. It is pretty conveniently located along the river, not too far away from the main downtown area. It has a few shops and restaurants inside. My room was really nice and has all the amenities that you would want in it. There is a finesse area, but I didn't use it at all because it is an additional cost. Seems like those types of things should be included. The onsite restaurants/bars are pretty good. The Irish bar can get really loud, so I took my food to go.
You can get a little lost when trying to find your room because the place is a bit like a maze, but once I got used to it, it wasn't too bad. Other than the fitness area costing extra money, the reason I gave the Chicago Hilton a 3 was because of the onsite convenience store not being open very late, and being pretty pricey. I got to the hotel after the store had closed, so I had to go out and pick something up for a small snack. There are soda vending machines on the room floors, but nothing for snacks. Also, a bag of shareable M&M's costs $7, about a 350% markup. If I wasn't there for work, I would probably find a different hotel. but this one is still very nice.
Excellent views, excellent history, excellent value.
My parents stayed here when they visited us in Chicago! They had a really comfortable stay and enjoyed being so close to the parks.
Stayed here i love it.

One of America's Historic Hotels
You are close to so much to see and do including Buddy Guys Legends!
This hotel is amazing! The history and the architecture and the attention to details are superb! If you stay ask for a room on the executive level with a view of the city or lake!
We had a graduation ceremony..n everything was perfectly set up..
Overall, a very nice hotel. Right on the south edge of downtown, close to Congress Parkway and all expressways. Surrounded by an excellent selection of restaurants and shopping.
However, there is ONE major issue that alone docks off a star - the slow and unreliable internet access. You'll have better luck tethering to your smartphone and using its data connection.
The price is high but understandable for such a historic hotel with such a large on-site convention center. The rooms are a bit small but nicely furnished and decorated. The staff is nice but seemed overwhelmed by the shear scale of this hotel - it IS the third largest in the city, after all, with over 2025 rooms. Parking fees are exorbitant, and internet access isn't worth a penny, even though you're charged almost $20 for the so-called "premium" access, but honestly there's so much to do in the city that you'll be spending most of your daylight hours out and about, right?
The junior suites were great for kids that go to bed early. A connecting room allowed us to stay up later. Great views of Grant park, the planitarium and shed aquarium
Great location in Chicago. Hotel rooms are clean with great food and service.
Attended Unity 2018 at Hilton. Great place for a large scale event, but the dinner service was underwhelming.
What a beautiful hotel! One of the Grand Hotels with so much rich Chicago History! Must see during the Holidays. So close to all Chicago attractions! Definitely recommend staying here! Five star service and accommodations!
As lovely as this hotel is, they only have ONE microwave available for guests and is not available after 11pm.
The Hilton Chicago is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
I guess because I was black I really didn't feel as tho I was treated fairly
Okay, I know it has awesome history, and incredible reputation...but in all honesty, unless you are forced to stay long term (2 days or more) for business, or a conference...this level of "comfort" isn't justified for the price.
For less money, I can can get more room and more amenities just a few blocks in either direction.
From a PERSONAL VACATION Traveller, I would recommend elsewhere, but if you are attending for a large conference, this will accomplish the goal nicely.
If you can afford the upscale suites and room service, none of what I have just communicated is remotely relevant. But for the traveler looking for a jumping off point for a weekend away in the windy city....take a pass.
(Small side note to drive home the point. The executive floors offer robes. Great. The hotel is famous for it's environmental awareness. Fabulous. So what's the downside? The robes feel like they dried outside on the line, rough as sandpaper. For that kind of money....my robe should be baby soft, no matter what environmental concerns you may have)
Great Experience! Great price, great location and friendly staff.
Historic building, large and slightly quirky layout. Fitness centre on 8th floor even has an indoor running track, as well as a landed pool. Breakfast queue can be a little long at peak times, but food is actually good. Rooms tend to be smaller than other Hilton properties. Staff are a mixture of friendly and gruff.
Beautiful hotel. Excellent location. Warm and comfortable. Good bars.
Stayed here a few times while my apartment was being worked on, and I truly enjoyed my stay. Rooms are very clean, spacious for NYC. There's a beautiful courtyard in the back of the hotel.
Room was great, signing in took a long time with no one else in line, clean and will kept
Was there for a social event at the hotel bar. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere and line stress were really nice
This location is a full service hotel with an amazing location and ambiance. The hotel has a contribution to my daughter's college UChicago. My only complaint is the excessive charge for parking.
Good location. Fairly quick check in and good sized rooms.
Food is a little pricey, but a nice selection for eating healthy. Very nice rooms and lobby areas. Very well located for the Shedd aquarium, Soldier Field, Adler planetarium, and much more. Great local eateries right around the corners.
Room was very nice and the staff extremely helpful and polite.
Stayed here on a business trip and enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. There are a lot of elevators so you don t ever have to wait for one. Definitely would recommend to a friend.
Historic charm. Friendly housekeeping staff and reception. Large workout gym (for a hotel) with a compact indoor track. Nice, big pool. Would definitely stay here again.
Always a great time here during Blackhawks convention. I bring my 3 grandsons done there for the weekend and they have fun getting autographs and meeting new and retired players of the Blackhawks. Also they love going to the pool and hot tub.
Nice, grand hotel with lots of amenities and restaurants. They specialize in professional events
Fabulous hotel! The staff excels at Customer service.
Very large and nice Hotel. If you order Pizza at night, you have to go down to the lobby to pick it up from the delivery guy
I really enjoyed my stay. Great location and nice clean rooms. I guess my only reason it's not a 5 star is the prices. Some of the stores in the lobby really mark up their stuff. I guess it's no different than most hotels in big cities, but these seems a little higher. That being said, I have no problem staying her again
