Not staying here. Just doing the Blackhawks Convention.
The location was easy to get to, and the parking was not hard to find. The event was very nice, and the food was adequate. The dessert was fantastic!
Throughout the main thoroughfare of the City of Chicago .... on Michigan Avenue and across from Millenium Park.
Hilton hotels generally have high standard of service and accommodations. However, this one was a bit disappointing. First, the most basic amenity of bottled water was not provided. My calls were constantly put on hold or redirected to somewhere else where I was asked to leave a message. The receptionist did not sound happy/pleasant at all. Gym was closed early on Sunday by 9, and it wanted me to PAY for wifi. Nonetheless, the breakfast was good. It had a decent selection.
Best location. When you check in make sure your not on the subway side of the building, it's a 6am call everyday! Great if your a runner with having the park and river close by.
This hotel is great. It's got a very fancy atmosphere but no one judges if you're in plain clothes. Staff is excellently friendly and helpful. Beds and rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. All in all it's a lovely stay.
Stayed on the 18th floor in a room with two beds. Room was excellent, clean, and comfortable. Front desk was professional and didn't have any trouble.
Magnificent...
Nothing more to say....
Friendly staff, top notch service, comfortable rooms.
Nice spot for a convention, really clean and slick on the inside. Big beautiful restaurant and bar, wish I had a chance to hit it.
It's like a piece of history, absolutely beautiful , service during our stay was perfect and friendly, however some of the preparation and service during our conference wasn't on the ball and they struggled to serve such a large group, ran out of food and water and didn't provide enough seating even though a few hundred people never showed up, that was a little frustrating during an otherwise wonderful visit. It's worth paying for a view, & schedule some time to explore the hotel it's expansive and fantastic.
Clean and beautiful Views and location off Michigan ave
The Hilton was amazing.the room has beautiful views, the employers are very professional.i would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Had a event that was catered by the Hilton at the Hilton downtown Chicago. The salad, entre, and dessert were all very tasty and the service was great.
We arrived at the hotel at 6:00 pm on Tuesday only to find our room was still not ready. We had to wait in the lobby with all of our bags and were told that they would text me when my room was ready. At 7 p.m. I approached the front desk again and they said, oh yeah, your room is ready but we've been too busy to text you. Plan to have a lot of time on your hands if staying at this hotel. The front desk people were nice, but service is extremely slow.
We had the Superior room facing the lake .... Magnificent views!!!
Beautiful place, great location but expensive and everything costs extra.
Nice hotel for a professional event. A lot of space. But, horrible layout. Unless you have have a guide at all times, locating your next conference hall involves stumbling through random hallways and several winding staircases. Would make a better haunted house, honestly...
Nice hotel with nice amenities in downtown Chicago. The staff is friendly and courteous. It's what you would expect from the Hilton. I personally did not expierence any of the issues other people have who have reviewed the Hilton.
If you are a Hilton Honors member WiFi is free. Hilton Honors is free so it is worth signing up. The gym is not free for use so if this is important this may not be worth it to stay here. The servicing if the rooms is done well but can be done late in the afternoon depending on your room. Safes are available in the rooms.
Many rooms do inciude two bathrooms which is unique. At night the elevators do not have key access so there is staff to ensure only guests access higher floors.
There is parking as well as several restaurants on site. One thing I will say, everything is extra at this Hilton from parking to baggage holds, almost nothing does not come with an additional cost so I suggest you keep that in mind when planning your stay. Also it is frequently used for conferences.
Lastly if you have a room not facing the park keep in mind the elevated subway can be quite loud at night.
Came here for a work conference. Didn't stay in the rooms, but the lobby is beautiful and the conference rooms were big, bright, and well run
My room was located on 9 th floor next to laundry access area. Very noisy and no natural light, and faced brick wall.
It s not an average Hilton. It s a big, dull average Hilton. It s scale has flushed out any trace of personality and the rooms are deeply mediocre and corporate. If you get booked in for a convention enjoy but there are much better Hilton properties in Chicago.
Very nice hotel, but a bit too big and too crowded.
This is a historic hotel right by Grant Park, Millennial Park and Buckingham Fountain in Chicago. Also, if you get room facing east, you'll have a view of Lake Michigan. Beautiful hotel with nice rooms and great service. Highly recommend staying here or using for a conference.
Great historichotel, right on Michigan avenue. Awesome views!
Great staff! Clean rooms! Love staying at the Hilton when I visit Chicago.
Go here for Chicago Blackhawks convention. Very beautiful place.
Loved the hotel. The room was always clean, the staff friendly, and the scenery within the hotel was epic. I will stay again. I'd love to be on the elevator as it opens and step into the sounds of a grand piano. Yes, that will happen possibly during your visit!
Always impressed by the beauty of this hotel. Everything is perfect...always!
Beautiful hotel! Highly recommend for out of towners and residents!
Loved everything about this hotel. Conrad Hilton Suite primo!! Best desk staff and manager ever. Breakfast buffet delicious, hot and fresh. Omelet station a must try. Clean rooms and friendly attentive staff.
Large, comfortable and spacious hotel that is great to hold conferences. Rooms for meetings have hotel staff that come in to fix any technical issues and phone calls to the front desk can get extra help if needed.
Was there for the event. Friendly staff and updated decor
Wish I could give it 2.5
Not worth it for the price
The room where battle of the bamboo was staged in was massive and the sound system was fantastic
Amazing stay. Comfortable rooms, great views, and awesome location. Stay at the Hilton Chicago if you get the chance to visit the windy city!
The staff at this hotel was great, the room was large and very clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the our bathroom wasn't as updated as the one shown on the website. Another thing I like was how they use text to communicate with guests, it is much more efficient. Overall a very nice stay.
Nice and cozy place. Not the friendliest crew though
My wife and I had a great stay after a Cubs game. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel is in a great location to explore many areas of the city.
Stayed two nights for a short family get away. The rooms were clean and the staff were all extremely friendly. Every member of the cleaning staff that we met in the hallway always said good morning and had smiles on their faces. That says a lot to me
Great place to stay when you want to be walking distance to lake front areas.
Plus the hotel is just great. My visitors enjoy being here and what I experienced was very pleasant.
I definitely will recommend.
Wonderful location, huge gingerbread house in the lobby was a great touch
Beautiful hotel, great location, could not ask for better service and the price was amazing. Hilton Chicago helped make it the perfect trip.
What a grand and historic hotel! Beautiful on the inside and out. The beds were super comfy, the staff was very helpful and pleasant and the view from our room was gorgeous. When we come back for a weekend in the city, we will be staying here again. I loved how they had a display of all the famous celebrities and politicians who have stayed there along with snippets of the building's history along the walls.
Great iconic hotel in the heart of Chicago magnificent mile
Historic Hotel built in 1927 within walking distance of a LOT of Chicago Landmarks! Rooms were very clean, Housekeeping was awesome! Here for Business on our first visit to Chicago & still saw a lot! Only downside's were the line to check-in took a while because the Hilton Honors line took much longer than the regular line. Also, a 20oz. Coke at the Vending Machine is $3.25 EACH! So, bring your own drinks with you.
Good location. Service was slooooowwwww pretty much everywhere in the hotel.
Great location to Grant Park, Millennium Park, Art Institute, shopping and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and hotel staff friendly and professional.
First time visitor. Room was clean and everything was comfortable.
The Hilton Chicago is a rather good hotel, and the lobby and valet service that one sees upon first entering are fantastic. The lobby is a magnificent display, comprised of flashy decor, whilst remaining very subtle and classy. However, the Hilton Chicago, at least the time I stayed, housed many problems. Attempting to lower the temperature in the room was all for naught, as the temperature would not lower until we called the maintenance man and he manually lowered the temperature. Moreover, the TV was a nightmare to navigate, requiring a five minute investment just to get to a TV channel. Furthermore, the internet service was very shoddy. Though a $13/day is regular at most hotels for Wi-Fi, the Hilton Chicago deviates from the norm in that they will charge you $26/day total to use their in-room computer and your personal devices.
The Hilton Chicago is hit or miss, where you may get stuck with a nice room, or a bad room like I did.
Terrible service and accomadations. I do not recommend.
Nice hotel in a prominent place!
For jogging in the morning you have the most beautiful route right on your doorstep !!!!
The pool area is on the top floor and from there you have a wonderful view!
The breakfast was a bit American, but still very tasty!
This hotel is HUGE. This was my first time in Chicago and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The restaurant in the lobby has a yummy breakfast as well. All the holiday decorations and activities for children are great amenities as well!
Nice room, really, really overpriced Cafe. Even for hotel prices, wow. Clothing shop never seemed to be open.
Was there for wakandacon. Great convention facility
Friendly staff meet you at the door, and the friendly staff and cleanliness trickle into the lobby. Spacious and clean rooms with lots of modern updates. Perfectly tucked Into the Heart of the City. Close walking proximity to all you need or you're just an Uber away.
We're locals so this was a staycation and our first time here. The check-in was a bit crowded at the time as a convention is going on but that's to be expected. We self parked and as a former valet if you are a leery driver, valet. The room was nice and we had a city view saw we could watch trains go by and see the Sears Towers. Now the bathroom was small but it worked for the space. Service was topnotch and the hotel is beautiful. There's tons of things to do in walking distance or you can take a taxi to get around.
I was just picking up my family. I didn't even go in
I recently stayed at this hotel for four nights with my wife and daughter. We had a two double bed room with two bathrooms. The room size was quite comfortable for three people. The bathrooms were decent sized but there is no counter space for hardly anything you need to use. The room cleanliness was questionable, as there were cobwebs in the windows and the dust was noticeable on the furnishings. I ran my finger across the headboard of each bed and gathered a disgusting amount of dust. Obviously this isn't a part of the cleaning checklist, which begs the question of what else isn't on that list. The mattresses had not been rotated in a long time as there were large indentations of where previous guests had slept. This made the beds very uncomfortable and contributed to some long, sleepless nights. The hotel in general is in a great centralized point, close enough to most attractions to walk to. I never felt like the public spaces were overcrowded even though this is a fairly large hotel. The deli was convenient albeit over priced but that is what you pay for convenience I guess. The hotel was an easy walk (three blocks) from the Roosevelt CTA Orange Line station, which took from Midway airport. We would likely stay at this hotel again in future if we have another opportunity to visit Chicago.
I thought the hotel staff was helpful, but the facilities felt dated. We were there for a corporate work event and the hotel staff was very accommodating.
Great hotel! Clean, friendly, and incredible views!
Clean and spacious rooms. Quality has been top notch.
Beautiful, elegant, grand lady of Chicago.
Close to the Field Museum, the Aquarium, Art Museum, Soldier Field, everything you can think of that you want to be near in Chicago. We've stayed here twice now for a conference, have been very comfortable and happy here.
We love Kitty O'Shea's, yummy Irish style food. The Shepards pie is stellar, really no bad choices everything we tried was wonderful! Cheers
Great Room, giant Christmas Tree, free gingerbread cookies, what more could you want?
