Attended an Edward Tufte Design seminar held in the ballroom at the Chicago Hilton. The room was organized like a lecture hall seating about 200 professionals. The facilities were great. Coffee, tea, and water service was provided. Both coffee and tea surpassed my expectations. Enough staff was on hand to facilitate the event. There were enough restrooms to handle the guests of the event. Overall, I was impressed by the facilities and staff. It would be a wonderful venue for a formal event like a wedding reception or Christmas party.

The food was surprisingly good. The bedroom was cozy, if a bit small. The bathroom is definitely a bit too small. The bug downside is the layout. Traveling around the halls can get very confusing and something aren't labeled well. The staff is very friendly, however.

Staff all very friendly and room big and comfortable. Only marking down due to no bottled water in rooms, and no toiletries. Breakfast was epic, who knew you could make a French toast sandwich with peanut butter and banana!

It's a beautiful hotel, probably the best I've been so far. However I must say that, while there I was not provided with mouthwash and they didn't want to change me some money on the counter. i was contacted and it seems it was an error of the staff. Still that hurt my stay a little. I can't lie when I say I didn't feel really welcomed there...

Great staff, great location. A few hiccups with the room (desk lamp flickered, plumbing in bathroom made odd occasional noises during the night), but those were small. Lots of nice on-site amenities. Great restaurants, nice gym, good pool and two hot tubs (although one seemed to have some leftover floaties from previous guests). Solid, good place to stay. They'll take good care of you. The minor things I noted here should not dissuade anybody. I noticed them but wasn't bothered enough by any of them to complain. I'm sure if I had said anything to anyone, they would have taken care of things immediately.

Worst Hilton in the whole Chain. Wifi is not free for everybody! Staff is friendly but the hotel desperatly needs a makeover. It might be better to tear it down right away. Ugly and long Isles, the rooms dont have sunproof curtains - the morning sun around 6 illuminates the rooms! Untight windows still single glazed! loud airconditions, way to soft beds. There is a Computer touchscrren in every room that switches itself on around 4am - every Night!!! The often crowded Lobby-area due to weekly held conventions or meetings is stressful. At least you coud buy cheap jewellery there from a mobile booth. (For whatever reason)

Had a lovely time in Chicago being from the East Coast... Hilton always comes through... Staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful... Traveling alone I felt extremely safe there... A bit stuffy but that's to be expected... Will again return to your hotel and will recommend to others... Thanks!

The temperature control did not work, i asked for silverware to be brought to my room and they tried to charge me $5 for it.... the place looks good but customer service is not up to par. Otherwise would have enjoyed my stay if not for that. Also the bed and breakfast option was only for buffet as the waiter described, although the voucher stated any meal.

A terrible experience. We went for the Hawks convention this weekend and the hotel is a disaster. None of the escalators worked. How is that even possible that they would all be out at the same time? No bedding was provided for the pull out couch and it took an hour and several phone calls to get sheets and pillows. When I asked for three pillows I was told two would have to suffice. Needless to say I was not amused and insisted on my pillows. We had a message on the phone in our suite and it went on and on about how the staff was here to help and when you call the service line no one answers. That summed it up for me. I will never stay at the Chicago Hilton again. I will say that this is an issue with this singular hotel. I have had nothing but good service from other Hiltons.

Hilton is a nice place to stay but it's nothing special like it used to be. I've stayed in the Hilton Towers for my annual visit to Chicago for over 20 years. By staying in the Towers, you checked in on the 24th floor avoiding long lines, you had Concierge Service there, breakfast was provided, afternoon hors d'oeuvres and a lounge were also available as well as Express Elevators to the 22-25 floors. Now the only thing you get is the Express Elevator and a $10 food allowance per day (that won't buy breakfast in Chicago!). Even Holiday Inn Express serves breakfast! The room was clean pretty much and was nice once we got the drawers to stay closed without propping a chair against them and once they changed out the room refrigerator for the one freezing the water and soda we had stored.... Not things you expect from This crown jewel of the Hilton Hotel chain. It was very disappointing.

Close to everything and just far enough from the epicenters to rest. Love the history. Incredible lake view from room 2170. Nice quiet room no wall rattles that I often associate to staying in old building's. Odd room lighting having to plug/unplug a lamp with no switch. 5 star but only gave 4 because of older beds and pillows that suck! Hilton can do better especially on executive levels.

It's a very old buding with amazing interior decorating and historic paintings. Rooms were generally clean but, the staff was fairly non existent. It is however extremely well located. Situated in the heart of Michigan Ave.

The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating! The location is perfect for going to the McCormick conference center as well as downtown. We will definitely be staying here in the future!

LOVED, the hotel and the people there. Was visiting from Columbus Ohio for an Organization Regional Conference and they were nothing but helpful! Really appreciated the staff and the guest staying at the hotel.

Premium price for a hotel only to find the rooms are not well maintained. Peeling paint, doors that don't shut, windows with rusty frames and screws, and wifi that's not consistant. The service is great though. Greetings with a smile from every employee thus far.

Absolutely beautiful place. The hotel as great staff, lovely rooms, an awesome pool, and a great fitness room. Although I didn't like how much parking was. For 1 night was $62 and once you leave you have to pay again. This was my first time at Chicago and I am from Columbus so most of our hotels are free parking and if they charge they charge less than $20 a night. The Hyatt and Marriott were only $15 a night. I stayed there for 5 nights and I had to make sure I finished everything I wanted to before I came back so I wouldn't have to pay that much again. But lovely hotel I just think they could maybe reduce the cost of parking every night or at least include in-out privileges.

The hotel is located close to the aquarium and soldier Field, and walking distance to Millennium Park Clean spacious room. Good service. I was very impressed with the quality of the blackout curtains. Only real down side is the wifi isn't free.

Overall, a great hotel. I'm not native to Chicago, so I didn't know about his loud the trains can be at night. If the noise bothers you, make sure you request a room with that in mind. Barring that, the room was well kept and the hotel as a whole is very well run.

Amazing experience! They have a pool for all of you who love swimming just like me. Delicious breakfast buffet, and they have a bar there. Amazing views and service. Super nice people there and beautiful furniture. Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying at Chicago for a while or for a couple days.

I really like the atmosphere of the room and having two bathrooms is great. Downside it is missing a few small things alot of hotels I have stayed at in the past have like handsoap, a coffee maker, hairdryer ext.

We love the Hilton Chicago! The staff are very well trained and handled our stay impeccably. The room was very good and clean. For the money it exceeds my expectations. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Also, it is a quick walk to a great many attractions.
