Older hotel that still caters to meeting groups. Doesn't have a fine dining restaurant, but food is good at the two small food areas. Not in my top 20 choice for staying downtown. River North area of the city has a lot more to offer.

Professional staff were courteous, helpful and understanding in spite of an obscenely busy lobby. The location amd views were phenomenal. Rooms were clean and ready. This hotel and staff contributed to a memorable and positive Chicago weekend experience. I will return if staying downtown again.
Room was comfortable (executive level), slept like a baby in the king-sized bed. Didn't have a view...my room looked out to another wall of room windows. Everyone was helpful and cheerful in the hotel. Loved the corned beef and cabbage at the Irish pub.
We stayed here for a conference earlier this year and had a great experience. The location is perfect for exploring the city and the accommodations were great! Would highly recommend.
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location near Millennium Park. Awesome gym, pool, bars and restaurants. The walls are thin though. You will be able to hear your neighbors or people coming home in the wee hours of the morning from the bars.
This hotel was trash. The reception for Hilton honours members was disengaged and snobby. The rooms are cheap. The LG tv struggled, the new touch screen interaction thing is useless. It froze halfway during ordering dinner. We ordered over the phone and 2 out of 4 meals were incorrect ... the A/c did not work and I was on hold to the point I hung up when calling 'customer service'. I Regret staying here and won't in the future.
Stayed here for a three day weekend. Customer service was on par. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Checked in early on our first day with no issues. Bed was very comfortable just like sleeping on my pillowtop mattress at home. Tried both bars on-site and enjoyed both no issues there. The only thing I warn is for people not used to being in a city is to bring some earplugs for the traffic and honking you might hear while you sleep.
Disappointing experience. Was the worst Hilton I have ever been to, although it's calling itself the ''flagship''. Dated interior, long waiting lines and unfriendly staff. 2 stars because the view from my hotel room was nice.
Good location-walking distance to Amtrak/Union Station, Art Institute, several Theatres, Buckingham Fountain, the "Bean"..and it looks like an upscale hotel, until they try to put you in a room without a view: single window looking out over a plastic/tarp covered rooftop at a brick wall. Immediately asked for a different room. Second room was better, but was located right by the elevators, so you can imagine the noise and was SN, which we were not. Still looked over a flat rooftop, but acceptable compared to the first room, which they should consider making into a closet. Not sure if I would stay again.
The room were somewhat expensive but not expensive enough to afford. Very very clean rooms, spacious, has fridge drinks and comfy beds. Staff was excellent and overall had a fantastic stay!
The staff was professional and courteous. They provided prompt assistance. The overall building looked luxurious. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel the next time I'm in town.
Very Nice Hotel with a Helpful, Courteous staff. The little store for 7/11 like purchases, charges double the price tho. (Sm.Chocolate milk, sm.gatorade and 2 kit kats = 13.50.
We booked a hotel block and the wedding suite at the Hilton Chicago for our wedding. Hotel was clean and gorgeous but beware two things:
1. Parking is extremely expensive, and invariably you will need to pay parking for your makeup and photography vendors, not to mention coordinator and florist. Budget $300-$600 more depending on how many people you need to park.
2. The billing department is useless. It s 3 weeks after our wedding and we are still working with them to fix mistakes they made in the first place to charge our guest s and vendor s credit cards for charges associated with rooms we booked.
Beautiful hotel but there are plenty of those in Chicago. I regret going with the Hilton and wish we had stuck with our tried and True Hyatt
Great service, beautiful hotel, and great location for museums, Grant Park, Millenium Park, and other attractions. Right at the South end of the Magnificent Mile, you're a short walk from the lake and Buckingham Fountain. If you have a need during your stay, they make it right. Also, if you're a blues fan, half a block walk to Buddy Guy's Legends Club. My favorite when staying in the city.
Incredible hotel and atmosphere! The location is great and the on-site parking rates were reasonable for the area. Attended a trade show there (not an overnight stay) and the hall was beautiful. Would definitely stay there if visiting overnight
Very poor service for a Hilton. Arrived and the room did not feel clean, we took antibacterial wipes to everything. We had a guaranteed child s crib ordered, which wasn t in our room when we arrived. Told we could get a late check out only to find out on the day we couldn t. There were several other nuisance issues. Overall, poor quality and I d recommend staying elsewhere.
I'm a sucker for elegant old hotels, and the Hilton Chicago is in that category. Location is mixed. We went with our young kids, so being able to walk across the street into the park was wonderful. So if your visit is centered around Grant/Milennium Park, the Field Museum, the Aquarium, the Planetarium, the Bears, or the Art Institute, then this hotel is perfect. If your trip is centered around high end shopping and restaurants, then this is the wrong hotel. The hotel is pricey, but I think it is worth it.
Booked a room for 1 night on July 7, 2019. Everything was good until I got home and saw that 2 of my rims were all scratched up. I paid $75 for valet parking, in that case I should ve paid the $62 and parked it myself. I called the hotel and they filed a claim and 4 hours later emailed me that they couldn t do anything because I called them after I had left the parking garage. They should put up a big sign when entering the garage saying CHECK YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU LEAVE so that this doesn t happen to anyone else. I take care of my stuff specially my truck and my rims were not like that before. I wouldn t blame someone else for something i did! Lesson learned but won t be staying here again.
Great hotel. Very clean and they recycle!! Reminds me of the movie the fugitive will Harrison Ford. Staff are super professional definitely coming back.
When I book a Hilton, I expect a little higher standards. This hotel was average at best. It was $113 a night and parking was $45 a night. Service was okay. Room was alright. Nothing really stood out like I think it should at a Hilton. Plus, the parking garage for the hotel had a pipe above our car that dripped rusty water on it over the 3 days we left it there...there are 2 semi-permanent stains on our car now.
This hotel imposes very unreasonable extra charges for using the gym or getting any item delivered to the room. Housekeeping service did not meet expectations to resupply bathroom items and coffee/tea bags/cups. Not recommended.
Attending a professional conference here. Food has been good, service/staff have been incredibly helpful but the layout of this hotel is crushingly confusing and frustrating.
Amazing hotel right in downtown Chicago. All amenties are provided in one central place. The staff are generally extremely helpful, and the building itself is well managed and opulent. Overall, nice place, highly recommended.
Waiting hours for a room to be available. People who have checked in after me to the same type of room have already gotten theirs. This is unacceptable.
Had a conference here. The hotel room was spacious and clean. It was two double beds with two full bathrooms. Front desk was able to check us in early. Online check out was super simple. View was not great. The meeting space was expansive. The basement rooms were a little tricky to find. Had lunch at Kitty OShae and the service was fast and food was good. All in all- a nice stay
It leaves much to be desired! After making the reservation they invited me to be Hilton honors, but they did not charge me the points for having made the reservation with Booking. The room is very nice but the bathroom is small, there is no complimentary mineral water or slippers, the wifi is disconnected all the time! And despite being Hilton Honors they charged me $ 2 for each luggage to store it for a couple of hours!
Everything is great. The conference rooms are nice enough but they are all over the place, almost like a maze. The wifi isn't great, but you can pay for better service. The wired connection in my room is great!
The hotel is very nice; historic decor but updated rooms. We had a king room on an executive floor despite getting the room heavily discounted. Things were clean, staff was friendly and helpful.
