I was here for the Vogue Knitting Live Chicago and I wasn't disappointed. From the security to the restaurants to the fabulous entryway and quite little alcoves on the second floor, I enjoyed the Hilton immensely. The Hilton is also a Chicago PAWS sponsor and a Paws statue greets you on the sidewalk at the main entrance.
Would highly recommend. Great location! Large, clean rooms!
Nice hotel, expensive food, but overall all amazing
Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms at an ideal location for our trip! It's enormous and has some museum quality areas you can explore and enjoy. On the expensive side so I wouldn't stay here often but nice to experience every once in a while.
Beautiful hotel. Very brief stay, but enjoyed the hotel
Very nice Hotel. The staff is excellent and I found the rooms to be well maintained and comfortable. Highly recommended
The Hilton Chicago is on Michigan street, which is one of the main streets of Chicago. From the hotel, it is about a mile to the Tribune, Trump building, and it is even closer to Grant Park. The room I stayed in isn't huge for one with two beds, but it worked nicely for our needs. The bathroom is not very well stocked with towels, by they do have a lot of complimentary shower products - three travel bottles of shampoo and conditioner, along with three bars of soap. The hotel is so large that the rooms can be pretty far from the lobby - our room is two minutes from the elevator, and another from there down to the main floor. The check-in line was also abnormally long - it was a 10-minite wait just to approach the counter to check in. Considering the size of the hotel, this may be normal. Overall, the hotel is very nice.
Our daughter is starting at Columbia College and i can't wait to make this our home away from home. Such a beautiful building and gorgeous fitness room and pool.
I would not recommend this hotel. The maid went through our luggage and when the incident was reported, we were treated like liars.
Great location along Michigan Avenue. The building has a 1920s feel to it. Walls are a bit on the thin side as you can easily hear your next door neighbor s conversation.
Very Pricey, but worth it! Great views of the city and great staff. Rooms were nothing special, I guess you just pay for the name. Everything was just cookie cutter, but that's what you expect right? Overall we were happy with the room.
After a week i really didn t have time to visit all the amenities of the hotel. What can I say it s Chicago. I agree with some of the reviews. The rooms could be quieter. I had to turn my tv up one evening. Bathroom was nice size but single room was tiny. I appreciate the classical hotel look. A bit too dark in the halls and over all. Chicago 1930s. Not allot of natural light. People working there were very helpful. Kind to talk to.
Very nice hotel, everything was clean and it is close to the Field Museum. David at the bar was nice and a good guy to talk to. The two complaints would be not enough seating around the pool, there was plenty of room for more chairs and tables. The other would be the lack of information in the room, they have a tablet in the room that is supposed to provide information, but it was slow and useless.
Great hotel/service/location/ and value. I come here in January to see Buddy Guy (even though I live an hour away) and have always been happy with my stays.
Spacious room with a great view. Very friendly staff. Best of all double room had two bathrooms.
The atmosphere was very professional. The bar has all the drinks and the employees were very friendly. About the food, it was tasty. I like very much.
The hotel is clean and with good location. The thing is that I wanted room with view to the park but they gave me some other room with no view and I didn't like it. The staff was Okey but still I made the reservation so I can enjoy my view from the room. The price is high.
I only stopped in to use the FedEx shipping center. The employee there who helped me was kind and patient and I wish there were more people like him in the service industry.
We went to the adjoined restaurant for brunch. This restaurant was phenomenal in every respect. We had a fifteen person party and they catered for us with such ease. The food was delicious, and we were served unlimited coffee with our meal. The hotel also seemed extremely neat. I only ventured as far as the reception room, but from what I saw the receptionist was efficient, as there were completely new people every time I made my way through the reception area over to the bathrooms. The bathroom in the lobby, by the way, was aesthetically pleasing, yet it seemed not too clean. There were paper towers strewn around, and the toilet seats were dirty, but that's to be expected anywhere children are allowed.
enjoyed the service they provided. Breakfast is great. Like the price combined with the breakfast
My favorite hotel in Chicago !!! Erick the ambassador is amazing and very helpful !!!
The rooms were decent but the beds were small and the restruants inside were expensive and Kitty O Sheas is attached and everyone goes there for lunch and dinner so it gets really crowded
Attended a conference here. Good signage and facilities. Easy access to public transit and restaurants.
I was there for a professional event. Very professional staff, clean space and wonderful location.
The room was great, view nothing to write home about but the price was great and the time spent there was magical
My favorite hotel in Chicago. I make an excuse to go here once a year
Great place, issues with check in but they resolved the issues in a timely manner.
Fantastic hotel! Comfortable room and bed. Pleasant and helpful staff, and nice views outside. Would stay here again!
The lobby was beautiful. The employees were helpful. But, the room was poorly insulated; I can hear the Summer dance festival down the street
Excellent location, service is great, and lots of history at the hotel
Oh my word, I can not put into words the amazing time my bff and I had at this amazing hotel!!!
Swanky baby, swanky. The Irish bar in the lobby is worth stopping into for a burger and a pint after dark.
The hotel lobby is beautifulbeautiful, the elevators are fast and available within seconds of calling. Location is great for the South loop area. Didn't have much need for service. Room was clean and beds comfortable, but overall room was nothing to write home about. My company paid for the room, but if it was on me, I think I could do better for the price. That said, we had no problems.
Immaculate historical property with great amenities. Gym and pool area are enormous. Multiple lounge and dining choices with a range in price.
Loved it.
Our rooms were nice. Clean. Useful amenities.
Restaurants served great food. The breakfast was fit for a Queen.
Parking ramp connecting to the hotel.
Stores to shop in.
Was a great location.
What else could you want.
Friendly staff, clean room, no issues! The hotel is an older building, but has tons of appeal
Recently attended a wedding in the grand ballroom, food was great, and the room was beautiful
Nice location, next to great food and transportation around the city. Comfortable rooms.
We stayed here over our anniversary in august, I was impressed from the start, easy check in, great room, I loved the bed. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. We will definitely be back.
Great price for the quality and quantity of services you recieve
Neat historic hotel. Elevators shake so much I have a concussion. Expensive food inside the hotel. Walk anywhere to find reasonable prices for dinner. Great convention area, and lovely staff.
Great location. Clean rooms. Awesome interior spaces.
Clean, but lots of outside noise. Bathroom large, but no counter space.
Attended Sox the convention on Sunday. Everything ran smoothly, staff was friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful Hotel, Great service. Love their breakfast???
Ultimate. Hilton Chicago, Great rooms,Tasty food Swimming pool is very awesome.I really really really very happy .
Had a great time staying for New Years! Clean, well stocked room, and quiet despite the many people in the hotel!
What can I say, this is a landmark. But way too busy for my. I stay because we had a corporate function here otherwise....
Gorgeous hotel with very interesting architecture designs. The first hotel in Chicago to host 3000 guests but very expensive compared to others, extremely expensive parking, small rooms, no Fox Sports, so no Cubs game, no breakfast, no complimentary internet or breakfast. Consierge was not smiling or helpful. Did not mention there was a large discount to conference participants. Would rather stay at the hotel next door.
Love older hotel decor and architecture. Clean room, friendly, tentative staff.
We had a very nice room and although we did not request a view of the lake, we still had one. It was beautiful. Did not use extra services, so I cannot speak to those. The location is fantastic.
We stayed for the CIMUN XIV conference. The hotel staff have been lovely - so responsive and thorough and kind to every request I had as a teacher advisor and definitely made the weekend easier. So glad the conference chooses this hotel to host us.
I went for the multisport convention. Facilities we're fantastic
Edit: added a star because the break was pretty good.
Disappointed as a Hilton Diamond
The exterior of the hotel is nice to look at, but that s about the only good thing I can say. I was upgraded to junior king suite because of diamond status, but the room was small (like European small) because the thick 4-feet wall dividing the sitting area and bedroom made the whole setup two small compartments. Entrance door opens to a wall, suite door blocks half of nightstand, holes in the sheets, peeling wallpapers, dark/dingy, no sound proofing walls/windows. Check out the pictures. I can easily hear ALL the traffic on the busy street below. Glad I brought ear plugs! I guess I should manage my expectations that not all Hiltons are equal, even for diamond members.

First time I seen hotel where you need to pay extra for WiFi and usage of a gym. Plus during my stay my key stoped working 2 times and each time I had to go to front desk and wait in line.
Great comfortable hotel with a lot of history,,,,convenient location,,,rooms were very comfortable,,,liked the coffee maker and the heater in the bathroom,,,, enjoyed the Irish Resteraunt as well as the other restaurant,,,liked having the coffee shop and quick grab place but it didn't seem like it was managed well ,,,,no dates on fresh food and had to return peanut butter sandwich that was at least a week old ,,,,,I will be back ,,,,thank you!
Typical convention hotel, although concierge level good. Overpriced for what it is.
Attended Hilton Chicago for my triathlon. They were very accommodating of my race and gave ample time to check out. They were prepared for the influx in people and bikes.
Staying at the Hilton Chicago was a great decision! If you are going to be nearby this hotel, then Book your hotel here! Great staff, service, & amenities. Highly recommended! Had a nice and very comfortable stay there! Thanks again to the staff!
Very nice experience. Servers were very quick and attentive. Overall great experience.
meh, bc its aged, should get renovated especially for the high Hilton pricetag.
Historic hotel with beautiful architecture and superb amenities such as the gym. The gym is my favorite part of the hotel because it has various cardio machines, a sauna, and an indoor track.
I went in briefly for a drink of water. Found it immediately to the right near some empty dining tables. Chilled and filtered water from a dispenser. Well air conditioned and well-staffed.
Very nice, good location with access to museums, restaurants. Excellent staff and facilities.
