It's everything you'd expect from the Hyatt in Chicago. Upscale hotel in a wonderful City.
Very nice 5* hotel. Service is outstanding and the staff is excellent. The room is very spacious and the amenities are really good. The closets are spacious and the restroom is inviting. The on-site restaurant is very good and the prices are reasonable. Recommended!
Classic hotel with modern service and professionalism. Great location, great room and a great location to get around Chicago. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was old style but had modern and solid pressure. Will stay here again in an instant.
Very helpful staff. It was very clean and a beautiful hotel. There is so much to do without leaving the hotel. It is located in a beautiful part of the city and has a great view of the city.
Overall the hotel stay was great. Nice room, clean bathroom and great location. I took one star off primarily because this is the first hotel ever I have stayed in that charges people to use their gym. I was very unhappy to see that even on rainy day, I couldn t use the gym without a fee of $15 per day. On sunny days, I wouldn t even have tried as the Lake Michigan front is incredible place to run. And best of all, watching the sunset on horizon - priceless.
Excellent location for downtown chicago. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Hotel itself is self-sufficient
The hotel was clean. Huge TV in our room! It was very clean and beds were comfy. Amazing hotel
right in downtown Chicago, easily accessible by public transit. well air conditioned and clean
Beautiful historic hotel with large meeting rooms. On-site food is expensive, but there are several restaurants in walking distance.
Beautiful hotel. Rooms are well appointed and the staff very courteous. Will definitely return our next time in Chicago
Beautiful ambience, ideal location, perfect for business stay.
Better to send your money to a charity. Quality definitely doesn't meet the price tag: old rooms, no internet, drafts, no breakfast included
Enjoyed our visit, nice rooms, good food and overall a positive experience.
Charged 62 dollars for parking on top of are room charge
Beautiful place, walking distance from nearly everything in downtown. Updated, upscale rooms and the staff was top tier.
Stayed here overnight for a work event. The hotel is old for the price. Many of the amenities in the room just seemed run down(hvac, bath shower head loose, peeling ceilng paint). The views of the room were also lacking in my particular case.
Had the brunch buffet, quite pricey for the choices
For the money, I truly don't think there is a better hotel in Chicago.
Company had conference on site. The services weren't good.
Nicely updated room and great view of Chicago. The location can't be beat. The one negative was that our thermostat did not work properly
Crappy rooms, crappy service, and crappy food....stay away.
Beautiful hotel. The location is perfect. Quick walk to Grant park and museums. Hotel rooms are comfortable, nothing fancy though. The room was hot when we arrived, and took awhile to cool down. Only complaint.
The driveway entrance is on Balbo and when you enter the hotel from there, you're greeted with an immense room fill with lots of hustle and bustle. The grand ballroom, is indeed GRAND. The ceiling ornately display portraits and dozens of chandelier. When I'm here for a gala or ball, I like to go upstairs and just stare down at the crowd. The upstairs is a great place just to people-watch away from the crowd.
Great venue! The lake rooms are kinda hard to find and take a while to get to though
Felt as clean and comfortable as being at home. Service was very friendly and helpful but not intrusive....they left us be, met all of our needs and helped quickly when we asked for it. Like staying in a museum - a well-kept relic of Chicago full of marble, plush carpets and chandeliers. They were very tolerant of our dog. Perfect place to stay with dog as it's directly across the street from Grant Park. Amazingly large pool for downtown and even though it was indoor, the large windows kept the space feeling light and clean. My only complaint would be lack of fridge and water in the rooms.
It's freezing for no apparent reason. Too many people have been complaining about this.
Friendly staff, lovely hotel, great views, awesome location.
Simply the best! Beautiful hotel, lovely artisans gift shop. Great service, comfortable clean rooms. Enjoy the live music at Kitty O Shea s!
A little secret for families, or friends on a girl s getaway; book the two beds/ two baths room and you ll get out the door faster in the morning! Three great breakfast places to try within walking distance of this hotel, or grab a cab to the Grand Lux Cafe, but get there early on weekends.
Wish they had program like spg. Pass on cleaning the room and give me points
It's a clean, beautiful, historic building with very friendly staff. The rooms are big with great amenities and comfortable beds.
Beautiful hotel. Great views of Grant park, beds were plush and comfy, breakfast buffet had lots of great variety and your staff was absolutely awesome. Leah checked me in at the front desk and she made my weekend by upgrading me. So glad I choose this hotel and will be back in a few weeks.
Beautiful Hotel. Very comfortable bed. There were 2 bathrooms in the room, which was convenient. Room felt small considering of the hotel and other rooms. I really appreciated the pool, hot tub and sauna....it was very nice. It was a great location, allowing us to walk to local restaurants and entertainment.
I ate at the restaurant for thanksgiving. The food was wonderful, the service was spectacular. Highly recommended!
Very close to everything in downtown, the bus stop is literally across the street. Food was good; gym and the pool was great size and had all the necessary equipments. Workers were really friendly. Loved my visit to Hiltons.
The hotel rooms are all set up strangely because of the age is the hotel. They are all remodeled though and the wifi works throughout.
I went to the factory inspection, but it was cleaner than Hilton in other areas.
Very cool old hotel in a great location. The parking is ridiculously expensive at 62 a night and that s self park. All in all has a elegant feel and staff was friendly.
The park is nice too :-). Could use a cigarette and a cocktail though.
The most beautiful hotel I have ever seen. We were here for the Blackhawks Convention. We brought our 2 year old son because he is a hockey fanatic who LOVES Patrick Kane. It was sad he didnt get a chance to meet him or get an autograph. Next year, we will be in attendance and may stay the entire weekend.
We stayed on the 21st floor, room 2125. The heat in the room never reached the temp we wanted. It wouldn't kick on fast and would reach a certain temp and shut off and never reached what we set it at. Our fridge was barley cool. The television kept pixelating. The elevators were kinda scary for me since they wobbled and they were very small. I am not a complainer at all, but this hotel was not worth the price. Also, parking overnight is $62 on top of paying for the hotel room. Not worth it.
This is my favorite old hotel in Chicago. I love coming here for conferences. The ballroom is spectacular.
For a Hilton you d expect a lot better. The accommodation was adequate but the soft product/extras they offer were terrible. The rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint and a little jazzing up but it s fine.
We tipped the house keeping everyday but they couldn t even be bothered to empty our bins or give us fresh towels. Also they charge for every little extra they can without doing anything extra.
Need a package delivered to the hotel?
$10 charge
Need to leave your bags there for a few hours after you check out?
$3 per bag and $1 per coat
For a 5 star hotel it leaves a lot to be desired
Excellent five star hotel. My stay here was amazing. An experience nevera to forget
Found dead roaches in the private dining room. My bed sheet has a hole in it. No hand soap in the room. The staff was very welcoming though
The staff here was exceptional. The breakfasts were delicious and the morning staff was so very thoughtful and caring. My only disappointment was the lighting in the bedroom and the bathroom was very dim, even with every light on.
It's an average room. For the price, I was surprised that the coffee machine was broke, a light out in the bathroom, a broken exhaust fan, and no hair dryer. The building itself is very nice but I'm more concerned about my room. The staff was very polite and professional.
The hotel is in a great location. The beds are comfortable. There's really nothing to complain about here.
Hilton Chicago is a wonderful hotel, great staff, great location, great history. I love staying here!
Great location, however the rooms are small and cramped
Beautiful building and meeting rooms. Confusing layout (bathrooms in stairwells, for instance).
Great service, they were very helpful wheb we asked for an extra cot and pillows. Very clean and well taken care of rooms. Beautiful furnishings all around the hotel. Great experience.
Great experience had by all!! Beautiful place to stay with all the amenities you would expect!
Visited in January. Staff very friendly and attentive. Have added giving their Hilton Honors members bottled water. Beautiful service historic hotel.
Very nice and very friendly. Breakfast was a little pricey for what it was.
