Beautiful and clean hotel in a prime location. Had some trouble getting a refund when we paid cash and they charged it again too the room. After a few phone calls repeating the same thing (nobody wrote notes in my account until I asked to speak with a supervisor) I did get my money back though. Had that more been the case I would have rated 2 stars. Had it not happened in the first place, I would have given them 5.

Excellent staff, clean rooms in beautiful downtown area near the lake. Highly recommend.

Not planning to return, ever. Our Friday night into Saturday stay was awful and equated to no sleep.
Saturday morning 1:00a. Smoke alarm in room goes off for no reason.
Saturday morning 5:00a. Smoke alarm goes off again. Called front desk who suggests they send someone to the room to replace the batteries. No thanks we would prefer to have the issue addressed after we leave.
Saturday morning 7:00a. Someone knocking at the door, followed by a phone call from the maintenance guy attempting to address the smoke alarm. Nope, still not interested...sleeping.
Saturday morning 8:30a. Commotion in the hallway, when I investigate by opening the door I was informed by three room attendants they were preparing for their workday. My apologies for being woken up by the disruption to inconvenience your day. I appreciate the facial expressions and tone used to address my concern. Asking me if you were loud really should not expect a response.
No way we fell back to sleep so we checked out.

Beautiful historical building with excellent service and close to everything, in the downtown area.

We went to the Irish Pub attached to the Hilton everything was pretty good although the drinks are a little expensive.

Absolutely fantastic; the manager that I spoke with there definitely saved the day and kept me being an Hilton's member.

Beautiful hotel. Conference rooms were gorgeous. We had a nice view of the lake from the room. The gingerbread creation of local Chicago landmarks was impressive

Check in was one of the best experiences I've had. The room is large, and well apportioned! Staff that I've encountered have been friendly and accommodating.

Really nice hotel, next to one of the best blues bars in the world.

The hotel had so much history and the rooms were beautiful. However, don't go wondering around. You will never find your way back!

The hotel is beautiful, but there is no free WiFi and there is a charge for using the gym.

Check-in was seamless, building is beautiful (super-fast elevators), and it's a great location for all things tourist, business, and the loop. The staff was able to direct me to a late night food spot and remembered me when I got back after midnight, didn't have to check my key again.

Beautiful lobby but semi small rooms. Having said that, very nice rooms.

This Hilton is beautiful on the outside and magnificent on the inside. At the time of my stay a wedding was being held there.
The check-in or registration area is relatively small, I had to wait a while.
The rooms are clean and good, but the 2 bed room with 2 bathrooms is so small that there is hardly any space for a suitcase. However, I saw a 2 bed room with a bathroom that was enormous with a great view of the Willis Tower ...
So either you are unlucky and have a mini room and still pay more (because of 2x bathroom) or you are extremely lucky ... that's why 1 star deduction.
For the money, I expect more than squeezing between the bed and the wall!

Very clean, tidy and accommodating. Very large pool-fun for kids and even lanes to swim laps. Style of decor was upscale. Had a room with 2 bathrooms which was amazing.

The Hilton Chicago is a fantastic hotel to stay at. Right in the heart of the windy city. The lobby was absolutely gorgeous with marble from floor to ceiling. The front desk staff were very helpful and patient. The room I stayed in had a beautiful window view. The rooms were clean and modern.

Went to the Hilton for an event. Service is fantastic, food delicious, located in beautiful downtown Chicago, and the room was spacious with a very comfortable bed.

Our room was facing the lake, it was amazing! We where on the floor that had the complementary snacks in the afternoon and a continental breakfast in the morning. There was even a butler......best money for a upgraded room I've spent in a long time. The one thing I wasn't so thrilled about is that our room was near a lounge area and we could hear people at night talking and making noise. It wasn't the worst thing ever but it was a tad annoying.

I, absolutely, recommend staying at Hilton on Michigan Ave. I took hours walking around taking photos. The pool is great. The hotel is very large. There are a handful of stores. The ballroom was perfect for the convention. My room was $120 a night. I was offered an upgrade for a room with the Lakeview for $50 more. I did not take it because I knew I would not be in my room often. Great security also!

nice place. good location. good breakfast. mostly friendly people. minus a star for still charging some for wifi in 2018, and for making it difficult for free users to connect/keep connected.

I.booked a single and received a double. The doubles have two bathrooms which would be great if sharing with a coworker.

Beds were hard and lacked comfortable bedding. Only one glass in the room, which was unusual. Shower was clean. No view, except into other guests rooms.

Great atmosphere for lounging, dining, and shopping along with beautiful views of Grant Park and of Lake Michigan. Very hospitable.

The hotel is beautiful with a great history. The rooms are nice and some even have two bathrooms. There are so many things to do nearby. Awesome property!!

We attended a convention at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and appealing. Everyone is pleasant and helpful.

This hotel is quite nice for the amount you'll pay to stay here. The staff was exceptionally friendly and do their absolute best to ensure the hotel is clean and inviting. The rooms were very nice as well. The only downsides were that the thermostat didn't seem to be working right, so the room was warmer than I liked (I did end up opening the window, mind you, in December). The other issue was the water pressure in the shower. It was nonexistent. Other than that, it's a wonderful place to stay. PS, the bums and beggars out front were a nuisance.

Hotel staff was on strike. They were loud, you had to cross the picket line to get into hotel, service at bar was horrendous, rooms missing towels,toiletries, etc. $400 a night for that.

A lovely hotel with great history behind it. Read the history than roam the hotel to get a feel for the changes that the hotel went through.

Getting a hold of a manager or accounting rep is nearly impossible via telephone. Never stayed in the hotel but I did reserve and cancel a room with this hotel. My cancellation fell into the honored no fee category but the hotel still charged my card $280. This happened over a week ago and the issue is still not resolved. The hotel admitted to the mistake and reversed the charges only to charge my card again. I am extremely annoyed by this. Other bills (car, mortgage, school fees) are getting effected, I am starting to feel defeated.

July 17th 2017 - still no resolution. This occurred on July 8th 2017.

The hotel is nice, the breakfast is good with several options, and the room very clean. I'm giving 4 stars because 1. the room had a door connecting to another room, and I'm not sure if they have other rooms without these doors. If it wasn't an overnight visit I'd ask to change. I could hear everything from the other room, and it was impossible to fall asleep before 2:30am when they finally decided to stop slamming their door. 2. The TV was on and off freezing all the time until it got better around midnight. Everything else was great and the staff was very friendly. I'd definitely stay there again.

The staff were attentive and understanding of my needs. The room was great and had awesome views.

Rooms are tiny. Tried to upsell me on a more expensive room when I got there. Air conditioning sucked. Was signed up for some hilton membership thing without me agreeing to it. And my information was given out to telemarketers who wont stop calling me now.

It's located in the heart of downtown. The best bit is how fantastic the fitness facilities are here!

The support here was just fantastic; all I wanted was delivered to me right away. The hotel staff was great and she was most supportive. The food was so delicious; the whole experience was just great.

If only they would pay more attention to people having children in the hot tub this would have been a more satisfying stay. That and the hot water wasn't very hot in the shower in my room.

Had a great view of the lake. It's a nice hotel but lacks on cleanliness. Several times I saw shards of glass in the hallways, along with room service trays that sat for very long periods of time. The breakfast is amazing, especially the made to order omelets. I gave it four stars for the lack of cleaning up keep in the hallways and main areas where the elevators are located.

Great location, nice rooms, ours even had dual bathrooms. The level of service is what you expect with Hilton which is why I won't stay with another chain.

My son and daughter in law got married here. Pretty great time!! The only thing was we could of used a microwave in the room .

Beds were comfy but the room was hot. Had the AC set to 65 and it never got below 74. Everything else was great though. Easy parking in and out and right in the heart of chicago. Easy walk to wherever you want to go.

The most confusing conference hotel I've ever been to. Do not ask for ice from the banquet staff - you'll get a "no" or "go upstairs".

Stay every two years. Nothing seems to ever change. It's wonderfully consistent.

Nice clean rooms, though not very large. No complimentary breakfast. Attended for a work event and the food served at lunch was good.

Beautiful, historial, great programs and conferences all year long, right by Grant Park, unbeatable location, convenient shuttle services, comfortable beds, standard rooms not so big, and might not guarantee the best views unless you pay extra. Reasonable to good pool, patio, and fitness center.

Main lobby very nice, but restaurant food wasn't spectacular.

Great hotel to be close to the marathon finish line. Parking is expensive though if you're not staying there.

The staff is nice, however, the King Lakeview room is disappointing. There is no real view of the lake, and the room is extremely small. I am truly appalled at the misrepresentation of Hilton in regards to this room. I only gave 2 stars for the staff. When we arrived in last night the lights were off, the heat was shut off we had to have maintenance turn it on. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Great place! The architecture of the hotel is amazing.. Beautiful ceilings and designs throughout. Ball room for social events is very large.
