I love the Hilton, always a great nights sleep away from home.
I love the Hilton, always a great nights sleep away from home.
Clean hotel, friendly staff, fast service and reasonably priced for the best hotel downtown.
Just a short walk to Millenium Park, Buckingham Fountain, and the Shedd Aquarium. Kids loved the pool, I liked the view of Lake Michigan. Great historic look of the lobby and ballroom, and yet the rooms are updated with a modern look. Wish they had included breakfast.
Was a very unique hotel can tell that They kept the artifacts to its original stature
Excellent service. People are super friendly and helpful! Totally would stay there again!
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, we had a wonderful stay!
Great front desk folks, nice facility and friendly staff. Went there for our 10yrs anniversary and was upgraded to a nicer room with a view of the Chicago river.
Really nice hotel with great rooms and amenities. WiFi is not free though.
The Hilton Chicago is a grand historic building located right on Michigan Avenue. The minute you walk in the exquisite entryway you feel the year's of history this place possess. This hotel is definitely not for the ultra-modern seekers but if you can appreciate old world charm and ambiance this will be a perfect choice. Location is also a perfect choice for a multitude of Chicago's attractions. It's walking distance to many of the great museums, sports and nightlife venues.
Excellent Hotel and much history. Every President has stayed here since the hotel opened in the 1920 s
Low occupancy had the hotel bar closed to save on paying staff. Not cool for a Hilton Flagship property. Boooo
Nice place, but the room I was in was smaller than I expected
Comfortable room with all the usual amenities. Additional costs for Wi-Fi and gym usage, which seems a bit cheeky given the cost of the room is already fairly high
Stayed at the Hilton for the Facebook Communities Summit. Check in and out was painless and I was happy with my room. Sheets and bedding were fresh, and my bathroom was spotless. There was only a shower cap, lotion & a bar of soap provided complimentary in the room, but there is a gift shop full of toiletries & ELF makeup for emergencies. The staff were all great & we enjoyed the breakfast buffet - all of us were still raving about the chicken hash on Facebook after we returned home haha. We waited no longer than 2 minutes for an Uber at any given time, more than once there was one who had just dropped someone off ready for us to get in already sitting out front.
Hilton is a beautiful hotel with lots if internal amenities, a nice cafe, a great gym, an 8th floor pool, an Irish resteraunt, and other things. What they don't tell you is that WiFi is NOT free, it's actually ridiculously expensive. Also, unlike almost all hotels in the world, it costs a ridiculous amount each day to use the fitness center. I'de keep this in mind before booking.
Stayed at the Hilton Chicago, as a Hilton Honors member, during my weekend stay in Chicago. After having been here 2 nights, and never requesting room cleaning or service even once, we had one simple request for a new comforter due to having spilled food on ours accidentally. To my shock, I was told by the night supervisor that the hotel was out of extra sheets, blankets, or comforters; and that apparently this is not that uncommon for this hotel. He proceeded to tell me that despite paying over $200/night for this room, they were only obligated to provide us with one complimentary comforter. I ve stayed at hotels many times, mostly Marriott, and this has never happened before. No effort to provide a solution, no effort to have any customer service at all, rather I was told to take it up with the manager in the morning. Ridiculous service. It will be a miracle if I ever decide to stay in a Hilton again; let alone this one.
Rooms small but awesome amemotors and great location! So convenient to everything.
I loved the hot tub and pool. They are super nice and friendly there. We got extra points for aswers two rittles.
Me and my daughter really needed to use a bathroom, and the door man offered use the bathroom he was so nice. Thank you!
Stayed at the Hilton for a work conference. Nice enough accomadations, though my room Was not as fancy as anticipated upon walking in. Beautiful lobby. Bonus: they filmed part of Home Alone2 here!
Great Hotel. A lot of History and awesome location. would recommend
Although it s one of the old hotels, it s still not too bad. It s got its own charm. The sad part is that they removed the executive lounge access for their members. Now I feel there is nothing that separates Hilton from other hotels other than its name.
Great location and quiet hotel the only problem was the very slow drain in the tub
Stayed at hotel multiple times. Very good customer service, close to museums, park, etc.
The lobby was very nice and it seemed like it catered to a lot of airline pilots and stewardesses. They were uniformed and coming and going from flights. Our group was just passing through the public lobby and shops sightseeing.
It seems old the hotel makes me expensive for what it offers with respect to others like erustars or melia
Beautiful ballrooms and ideal for a large conference. My only criticism is the rooms are dark.
The room is decent and mostly clean. Plenty of space to move around. The view is directly into another room but I'm not here to look out the window all day anyways. The fitness club is better than most hotels. There is a track, treadmills, ellipticals, and a bunch of cable select machines. Only free weights were for a bench press. Coffee didn't get refilled a few times by house keeping. Overall it's not bad. Not sure of the price cause this was booked by my employer.
Rooms, lobby, and hall are nice. But when asking for service on a room, not as great. Very slow. Very.
Rooms are clean, elevators are well planned, and staff are very friendly and helpful
We've eaten at their restaurant-buffet and it was nice and cozy. It was a little bit cold but it was fine after drinking hot coffee. I also loved a cold environment, so it won't matter. We saw there a lot of choices to eat but most likely to eat is Italian food. What I liked the most about the place was their Instagrammable venue. We've seen their pool also it was quite good and perfect for those celebrating their family occasion/dates. It was an excellent place!
Exceptional customer service from all employees--doormen, front desk, housekeeping to name a few. I have studied service excellence and am very impressed with Chicago Hilton staff.
Service was amazing...parking prices were high but as expected
Apparently AC only works "when you're moving around" per supervisor. Don't bother asking for another room because they will insult you by saying they will give you a pull down bed and bring you a fan. Good job Hilton Hotel... So much for enjoying my stay in Chicago. Very disappointed and hot (literally)!
Came for a business conference. Staff was amazing. All extremely pleasant and professional!
Stephen at the front desk was great! Good for business
Service is good, not outstanding. Rooms are slightly smaller than what I'm used to on average but I don't use hotels much. The rooms that I saw and I was in had two full bathrooms each. Location was decent, I know that there were a couple other hotels located near more food options.
Beautiful hotel with every amenity and then some! Staff extremely helpful and the location is perfect. Right across from Grant Park.....highly recommended!
A bit of a maze. Not the easiest place to find rooms. Staff did well to help. Sort of limited options to eat inside hotel, but close to good places.
Really nice hotel but I had a pretty bad view. I'm just unlucky
The Hilton is one of the classy hotels in the downtown Chicago area. Their staff is always willing to help at a drop of a hat, or the cleaning staff directing you in the right direction. Their service is some of the top notch I've seen as a road-warrior.
There are places accessible via steps or a wheel chair only lift. If you have difficulty with stairs, they had no advice for a mobility impaired person.
Great location and good service. I stayed on one of the "Executive floors" and while the room was relatively spacious, it was beige, beige, beige and sorely in need of an update.
A beautiful and historical building with a very welcoming and friendly staff. Thank you!
Good hotel close to the loop. Rooms were clean and service friendly. Deducting points for cost and value: was in town for conference and paid about $380/night (after all taxes) even with conference discount - use of fitness facilities were still NOT included - $15/day extra! The breakfast buffet, while tasty but nothing special, rang in at $29 before tax.
They don't clean bed sheets if it looks and smell clean. I used a blue light and found seman on the inside of the cover and when I asked the hotel staff there was no answer
Received a welcome text and offered assistance if anything was needed had a great room with two bathrooms! It was perfect , fridge wasn't working texted they brought a new fridge just in case great service
Voice activated system wasn't user friendly. The rate advertised wasn't even close to the actual price.
WOW!!! Staff, accommodations and hotel is top notch! The staff are very professional and address all your needs quickly. I overslept because...NO KIDDING...the bed and pillows are like sleeping on marshmallow clouds. The hotel is absolutely huge and gorgeous offering a variety of shops and food. I'll be back!!!!
Very beautiful , clean, people friendly, diverse staff. Huge rooms spacious enough to give mom and dad the privacy needed away from kiddos during bedtime hours. Delicious food and great bar as well in lobby area. Parking can be a little crucial buts its down town Chicago.
Great historic location conveniently located across from Grant Park and walking distance to everything.
Great location and nice decorations. Staff was not helpful upon checking in. We arrived at the hotel at 11pm and called earlier to inform them that we would be a late check-in. The desk clerk worked on the computer for about 10 minutes when I asked if there was a problem, which I knew there was. She said that the first room was ready but the second room had to be checked by housekeeping. She said that it would be available in about 10 minutes, which puts it at about 11:30pm. That is not good service. Later I saw that the beds for both rooms didn't have a comforter. I ask the front desk to bring each bed one. Later a housekeeping staff brought us one and when I asked about the others, he said they don't have any more and other guests are wanting some too. That is unacceptable for a Hilton. I talked with a supervisor for housekeeping after we checked out and George apologize for the lack of quality. He refunded me $50 per room.
Clean rooms, easy in/out parking, central location for many activities and entertainment venues. Will definitely stay here again.
An amazing historic hote (actually, landmark), with everything you would want and need, and the atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking.
Staying next door for a conference held at the Hilton. Food has been great so far and enjoying the atmosphere. We've been taking over a good portion of the west end of the building and everything has been running smoothly.
Awesome gym!! Great staff. Very clean. Had a pleasant stay
The views were great and staff very friendly. The building was extremely clean and Restaurant staff and food great. Only thng that I didn't like was how small my room was. As a Hilton member I should of asked to change rooms but thats on me. My guess is they turned an old stairwell into more rooms which were SMALL. Overall besides that it was great stay there you will be very happy.
Hospitality and cleanliness on point. Older building has good character.
Just be prepared to pay extra for everything. That includes using the gym and checking your bag after check out. I would understand if the room were lower cost but the room was $350 per night for a small room in bad condition. Toilet did not flush and the shower head was literally coming out of the wall.
Close to everything and anything you could want to do in Chicago
Everything was great. Clean facility, friendly staff, great history.
Love it!! Very clean and respectful. Perfect location in downtown Chicago.
Saw the good reviews so we booked a double room for two nights. When we tried to get to bed we all noticed the bad air quality in the room. Opened the windows but that didn't work. Decided to check out and not risk getting sick. The front desk was useless.
Great hotel. Room service is excellent and the from was comfortable and clean. Water fountain does not work and there is no microwave provided in the room. Other than that everything was great.
Great architecture on the main floors. Love the Greek Revival inspirations of the architecture from this period of American History.
Nice rooms,GREAT staff, the one down side is the Wi-Fi is not great but everything else is very nice two bathrooms and amazing beds
Hilton is one of the oldest pioneers of the oldest hotel business. Being a city hotel in the US, which is the place of departure, Hilton has disappointed me with the amenities it offers. I know you can be better. Very central and in a great location. I would definitely expect more from the Hilton.
